And what about you? Your cold weather gear packed yet? LOL

:D ;)

Believe me, no "gear" needed what so ever. Keeping warm ain't gonna be a problem :)

So now on the topic ... this thread made me think a bit. I never thought of a dwelling as something to dream or ponder about! If it's got 4 walls, hopefully running water, a broadband connection and a grage with room for an industrial full truck lift, then it's a-ok with me :)

First thing I'd do is run a compressed air line to every room, especially to the kitchen and the garage. The rest is just in the electronics. The house itself can be whatever. It'd be nice if it were sound proof for neighbors' sake. Oh and it would be great if there were no neighbors at all .. for miles and miles ...

Sip jan, have you been to Sheboygan or not yet? There are some very beautify victorian homes there too. - BTW what the heck are you going to do with compressed air in each room?

Montclair is where many yuppies from NY commute to on the NJ side. It really is a very cool little town.

What? What? What wouldn't I do with compressed air is the proper question ... oh all the things you can do with compressed air :D Fssssssssssht Fsssssssssht ... anything from cleaning your keyboard, doing the dishes, all the way to doing "laundry" without water, and "brushing" your teeth ;) fssssssssssssssht :)

Sheboygan? No haven't been there yet. Sounds kinky.

I know that this is very unoriginal of me, but I have been completely enchanted with Frank Lloyd Wrights “Fallingwater” ever since I was little. Until this day I strive to replicate this structure and make my dream home a reality (wishful thinking) . There is something incredibly tranquil and almost poetic about this house. :artist:

Now speaking of romanticism…Imagine sitting there in solitude, with a hot cup of rich Brazilian coffee and a cigarette, listening to the luscious sounds of Coltrane and just gazing at the translucent waterfalls. Whew, I need a moment. :smoke:

Dear anileve, Falling water is a dream house for many of us. In fact most Frank Lloyd Wrights houses would be a dream for me. In Glendale we have 2 designed by him. Much more modest yet very unique and beautiful in their own right.

One day i am going to visit falling watter. Not too long ago(2 months) I was at the Biltmore hotel in Phoenix that he designed and we also visited his workshop. The man was a genius.

Azat - if your ever out this way I'd be more then happy to take you up there. I've never been there either - but have always wanted to.

When i lived in LA I was very close to a home he had built thet is now an art complex of some sort for LA. Forgot the name of it. Always had lots of old Armenian men around on the picnic tables surrounding...playing backgammon and playing with their wory beads...

Wish i remember the name...funny - I lived right near it for 5 years and certainly knew it...oh well

Strangely the one day that I spent in LA, I never got to witness Armenian men playing nards in their underwear according to the claims of many that live there or came back from a visit. Then again I spent only one day in LA, that could be the reason I missed the phenomenon.

In terms of my dream home, well I can say that I live relatively close to it, however I never made an effort to go down there. I am afraid, I will end up barricading the house and will refuse to leave. You’ll see me on the news clinging to the wall and screaming “It’s mine, all mine”, then you can shake your head and say, where are these young Armenians taking our image! Ay kez ban!

The area is beautiful, the house looks like it would collapse with the first droplets of rain, and I am not even mentioning the possible damp stench of wet wood. The truck looks spiffy though, I can see myself flooring it on the highway and I can even bring a fresh cow out of the country for my butcher shop.
