I rather not know certain things otherwise life just becomes unbearably boring. If you knew the causes of love at first sight or what creates music, painting, poems then what is left of us that we call human? I know I broaden this topic but really? Do you really want to know things ahead of time before experience? Or even after…I rather am ignorant about human genes and so on, life is so much more mysterious and beautiful.

It has to do with neurons hormones etc... but that does not reduce us at all.

Everything in our life(in the Universe in that matter) work with two opposit reality... it is the same with love, love is the opposit of consciencenous... consciencenous separate you from the rest of matter, or from others, love unite you, it is like magnetic poles.

Consciencenous separate you from the exterior world, because when you are consciencenous you differentiate yourself with the exterior world. There is the you, and the exterior world wich you reflect in you. When you love, it unite you with the loved one, and you do feel, for an instant, that you and the loved one form one person.

You can never have only consciencenous without love, because love is needed for compleat self-awarness, you do need the exterior connection to reflect something in you.

Those opposit forces exist in nature, the repulsion force and the attraction force, even if our love is simply neurological and a question of hormones, it exist because of a higher reality of the opposit... like the Ying and the Yong.

Love and consciencenous both exist more and more among more and more intelligent species, if a species has more consciencenous, and has pratically no ability to love, it will destroy itself, because separating yourself more and more, without being able to connect, and feel the rest of the world which you separated yourself from, you will have no compassions for others, and your egocentricism will make you see others as parasits.

Love exist for a reason, without it, you would not be here typing and asking the question.

Love at first sight...all the time! (LOL)

And no - I don't think that love (real love - or whatever one may call it) is strictly (or even necissarily or primarily) hormonal or physiological dependent.

And as Domino so eloquently (for PHDs) describes - there is certainly a difference between the love of infatuation and that which is deeper - that has developed over time - out of a bonding (of whatever sort - friend, family etc).\

But even regarding infatuation - while obviously physical attraction - and admiration (infatuation) because of whatever it is that this person does, says or is percieved to be etc - are perhaps dominant factors...much of this is I think mental (immagnation...flight of fancy sort of thing) and not just strictly physiological.

Regardless..what does it matter? (and to answer my own question - perhaps the prudent person would attempt to realize the difference between infatuation and trhe deeper love (or realizing who might truly be "good" for them - over the long haul & such) - of course the best is when all these things fall into place (and both parties are available, interested and otherwise non-commited...LOL)

Well then, Domino, you are somewhat asserting what Sasun refers to as "the reality of God". Am I wrong? :)

I wouldnt call it love at first sight - lust at first sight makes more sense coz its the whole initial physical attraction that makes two people click in the first place.. its the eye contact, the smile, the whole physical thing and if they like what they see and are both up for it, then its definately a lust thing...

if it then develops into something more meaningful and lasts, then its love.. and I can see why certain pple say that it was love at first sight coz they have been together from the first time they met, got married and had kids and 20 years down the line, they are still together now, it sounds so much better than just saying lust at first sight! LOL

Some pple may think its love at first sight, coz of the pysical attraction, but after getting to know each other more, they realise they have nothing in commom whatsoever and end it! ie: lust at first sight! LOL

brainpower more powerful than love?...doesn't make much sense...it can be a powerful thing compared to other things....whatever you had in mind...but as far as comparing lust and love...that's what i was referring to...it's like comparing apples and oranges???

I guess it depends on whose lust you're talking about...
