People in this forum are not from Armenia, so their attitude does not reflect real armenian attitude. Most of them haven't even lived in Armenia, thus have no right ot talk from our side. nellie very few of your post makes sence. About women working, sorry but you are wrong. I will not "not allow" my wife work. She will understand that it is better to stay at home for the sake of kids. That's the way my family works and families of all my relatives. In our families none of women work, escept my uncle's wife because both of her kids already married. She has a small restraunt. When my kids will be grown and if my wife says that she wants to do something for fun, there is can be any problems. But she should be thinking about earning, just fun. Nellie, in opposite. I have experience. I have seen how english families operate, how they raise kids, their behavior towards kids and vice versa. I have known their issues when 30 y.o. son was arguing with his 60 y.o. mother and shouting at her. I have lived in 3 english families, so you can't say that i am not experienced.

I agree with almost everything you said. BUT:

 

Do you think women should be able to vote? (assuming you believe in any type of democracy at all). If so, do you think there should be different issues where men get to vote on and other issues where only women get to vote on? Because from what I understood above, you are saying there should be different laws and regulations pretaining to women than to men.

 

I don't have a problem with that as long as men don't get to decide what are the laws/regulations/ways of life for women and women don't get to decide the same things for men. If you don't agree on this, then we have a topic for debate.

 

i.e ... if women collectively decide that they shouldn't be driving, or have limited driving abilities when caring for young childeren, I am not going to stand in their way! It is their right. But I don't think a male should be deciding that!!!
