quote:1. what is the best thing about being the sex you are? We all know that we're the more beautiful of the two sexes. quote:2. what is the most difficult thing about being the sex you are? By far the taughest thing I've had to face as a woman has to be our "perceived" role in society. I'm not sure how deep of a response you're interested in, but this question requires a complete discussion of its own. let me know if u're interested in more. quote:3. a. if you could change your sex for one week, would you?Yes, I definately would. quote: b. what might you discover?Beats me, probably what I don't suspect. hope this helps nellie [ May 13, 2002, 05:14 PM: Message edited by: nellie ]
  4. quote:Originally posted by Sip:If two people get married, we may have to take their corresponding numbers and find the Least Common Multiple or something like that. Maybe even multiply it by a specific prime number to make it trully unique. Of course for Armenians, we'll just add 'ian' to the end. perhaps the most interesting response i've ever gotten!! Doesn't sound bad at all, Sip. nellie

  6. quote:Originally posted by ARTURian:nellie very few of your post makes sence. that's funny, my post seemed to make sense to everybody else. quote: That's the way my family works and families of all my relatives. In our families none of women work, escept my uncle's wife because both of her kids already married. She has a small restraunt. I'm sorry, but we don't really care to hear about your family. you are not the sun, and the world doesn't seem to revolve around you and your family. have you ever considered the possibility of your/your family's ways being wrong????? quote: About entire world. I have seen more of world that you can possible imagine. And that's probably why i can judge from my angle more that anyone else. don't you get it? this is the whole point of this discussion, don't judge. 7. quote:Originally posted by ARTURian:Sip, childish? How much money have you made in your life to call me a child? GOD BLESS ARMENIA Please arthur, what does it matter how much money he's made. You could make millions of dollars and be unworthy of being called a man. It's not important what you get out of the world (ie money), but what you contribute to it. "god bless armenia", yes I agree. more importantly, may "god HELP you"
  8. quote:Originally posted by Juggernaut:An angry rant we are physically different (except for the Western world where men will soon be able to have children, aparently). lol, shows how little you're involved in science (no offense). where did you hear this from? did you see the arnold Schwartzeneiger movie, b/c it was just a movie. trust me, men aren't having babies anytime soon.
  9. I completely agree with Kazza. Moderators, please reconsider. Winston, especially, does not deserve the warning, from my perspective. As for Kazza, sure, she swore on the forum, but come on, everybody knew it was coming. Arthur has been insulting her in every way possible for the last couple of weeks. how come Arthur did not get a warning all this time? It is ok to degrade and insult somebody as long as you don't swear, huh??? nellie
  10. Kazza, relax, I know you must be frustrated. best advice I can give you, don't try to put up with people who are sooo ignorant, it's not worth it. Imagine this: you live in a small, dark room. The room has a window, but you've never undrawn the blinds. your shadow is the only other thing you've come into contact with. You've never left the darkness and coldness of this room. this room is all you know, it's your entire world. This is Arthur's world, I just hope that one day he's at least curious enough (if for no other reason) to undraw the blinds and unveil the rest of the world. There's an entire world out there waiting for you Arthur, you don't have eternity, don't be so anal. no offense, nellie
  11. I'm sorry Arthur, I tried to understand where you were coming from, but i'm absolutely terrified of all you have to say. I don't even want to hear anymore. If you were a real man, you would show the same respect you claim to show Armenian girls to girls of all other nationalities (yes, I'm referring to the Russians you were speaking of, as if they were cats and were having sex left and right). Don't talk about manliness, I don't think you've got what it takes to be a man. The only reason you want your woman to not work, drive, etc, etc, etc, is because you doubt your own ability to give her what it takes to keep her. Isolate her from the rest of the world so she wont know that you have absolutely nothing to offer her, this is the mentality, isn't it????? Show some respect to everybody else on the foram, especially Kazza. I doubt you know her personally, and even if u do, you are in no position to judge her, and especially to declare and announce your feelings towards her on a public forum. I know it's hard, but try to understand, you're NOT GOD, you're not the smartest guy on the forum, you're definately not the most experienced, so just......shush! Live your life and let everybody else live theirs.

  13. quote:Originally posted by Harut:Armenian culture is born in Armenia. and as i see, most people there do nothing to keep the traditionalism of it. in fact more people tand to adopt foreign ideas and traditions. couldn't agree with you more Harut. This is exactly what I've been trying to get across to certain people on the forum (let's not mention any names), who believe that it is only Spyurkahays who are assimilating. Armenia is changing itself, people there are changing. last time i was there, I was surprised at how "westernized" armenians are over there. whether it is the way they dress, the music they listen to, their mentality, or just about anything else.
  14. quote:Originally posted by hasmiek:he met this Moroccan chick, got her pregnant and lives with her now (nope not married) And guess what?? He said all the same stuff as Juggernaut, Artur, Tigranness and who ever more who states that everybody who adapts to the counties they live in is ‘not Armenian’. Cheerio! well, I certainly do not encourage marrying out of the race, but if that's what he chose, I hope he's happy. You're right Hasmik, all these guys are just talking the talk, let's see if they'll actually walk the walk. Lack of integrity is what i hate most in a guy. lastly, I certainly do not agree that anyone who assimilates is not armenian. I believe it is merely a means of survival. If we're trying to make a living in a western world, we have to assimilate somewhat. of course, i hope we still hold on to our core armenian beliefs and values, however, lifestyle, obviously has to change. nellie
  15. As far as the dress issue is concerned....wellll, I guess a lot of it is just a matter of taste. I would agree on one thing though, european girls don't pay as much attention to their looks as armenian girls do. this is because european girls actually have more on their mind than armenian girls. I for example, would love to look my best all the time, but with the type of lifestyle i lead, it is nearly impossible. I wake up at about 6:00 every morning, exercise and run for about 45 min, come home, jump in the shower, and unfortunately i don't have much time to put make-up on and dress all "girly", because i gotta make it to school on time. what happens when classes are over, i come home, cook, eat, go to work, after which I hit the library to study. i feel most comfortable in jeans (or sweats), a t-shirt, and my hair up in a bun or pony tail. most girls in armenia, however, wake up every morning, dress all fancy, and for what might I ask? to go and wait in line for an hour to get bread, all the while hoping that some man is going to notice her. only thing she's got on her mind is marriage.
  16. Arthur, one way a man can show his true manliness is to withstand criticism. You shouldn't leave the forum because certain people (well in this case, 98% of people) disagree with your opinions. it may not seem like it, but we're all trying to respect your opinions, it's just that to us, you seem extremely narrow-minded. why are you offended by Kazza's signature? the word "sex" coming out of an armenian girl's mouth should not offend you. kazza is not promoting promiscuity, and i'm sure she's not running around having sex with everybody she comes into contact with, even if she was it would be of no concern to us. (let's try not to inflict our beliefs onto everybody else).
  17. quote:Originally posted by highflyer: Life is to short to wast fighting for someones attention and affection,It is either given freely or not at all. I don't agree highflyer. things aren't just handed to us, they don't fall from the tree just like that. sometimes you have to fight to get something. life is a fight, it's a struggle. you have to work hard at getting what you want. another reason, most of the time we don't appreciate things that come to us easily, the things we strive hard to acheive are the ones we hold very dear to our hearts.

    Satanic Bible

The good and the bad are both qualities that are burried deep within us. true, a lot of sick stuff goes on in the world, but rape, molestation, etc. these aren't the works of the devil; to say that they are is only a scapegoat. God/Jesus and the Satan are only symbolic of the good and the bad. to blame our shortcomings on a an immortal, intangible sort of being is the only way we can look at ourselves in the mirror.
  19. quote:Originally posted by ARTURian: That would make it 2.5 million max. Actually no, it wouldn't. "comprise" means "include". so the 3.3 mil estimate includes only those who live in Armenia, not those that are registered.
  20. Answer this question. Would we still have our beautiful country if we, or our ancestors, hadn't fought for it?? I say probably not. sometimes, we have to fight to keep what's ours. (fighting doesn't mean physically fighting). It's the same situation in relationships. don't get a broken nose fighting for a girl you met at the movies last week and think is cute, but if you're in a relationship with her, sometimes, if not often, she's worth the fight.
  21. quote:Originally posted by henry: Thank you Nellie. Question: What would the ladies like to get for the valentine's day? Pretty late response, however, I'd still like to answer you--it might come in handy for next year. Although there are always those girls that ask for the big diamond rings--or just something reaaallly expensive, those of us that are not so materialistic want whatever comes from the heart. Give us a single rose, picked from the neighbor's garden if it's all you can afford, but give it to us with style.
  22. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYBODY. hugs and kisses your way Henry.
  23. quote:Originally posted by henry: Okay nooooowwww I need some tips on what NOT to do on the first date. P.S. I need good advice, especially from the ladies because they know what they like and dislike. [ February 08, 2002: Message edited by: henry ] here it goes Henry, the best advice I can give you: 1) be confident: girls like to see confidence in men, however, be careful, we shy away from over-confidence. 2)be straightforward and honest. In Lisa's words, be yourself. 3)take her somewhere she's probably never been before. (forget the boring old dinner and coffee). 4)give her the attention she deserves. Not too much, or she'll think she's aaallll that!!! 5)calm down, relax, loosen up!!!! try to feel comfortable. 6) leave some mystery. leave her craving for some more of you. Need i say more???

I really feel for you, maybe you should come and visit my college. on the other hand, maybe I should come and visit yours. did you say 90% of students are guys??? NOT BAD AT ALL (lol)!!! tell me, what percentage of these are Armenian guys?
