The Armenian intelligence monitors the Azeri Defense Ministry's
phone talks and is aware of all that is said inside the ministry,
Azeri military expert Uzeir Jafarov says in his Facebook page.

"They do it by tapping mobile lines. They are aware of all the details
of the last conference held by our Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov
with the commanders of the frontline units," Jafarov says.

He claims that Armenia's Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan is regularly
informed of what the Azeri military commanders discuss during their
meetings and reports this to his President Serzh Sargsyan, who, in
his turn, uses this information to appear in the press with threats
against Azerbaijan.

"Our generals were surprised to find out that the words they spoke
secretly were known in Armenia. They later learned that the whole
conference was eavesdropped by the enemy with the help of a mobile
phone. After that our Defense Minister instructed his team not to use
mobile phones when in office. But a few high-ranking officers still
continue doing it. So, I see no sense in this measure," Jafarov says.

TURKEY TO GIVE HISTORIANS FACTS ABOUT 1915 EVENTS

Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Cemil Cicek said that documents
about events in 1915 and the so-called Armenian Genocide will be
handed upon request, Trend reports.

Cicek said that both Armenian and Turkish people had suffered from
the acts in 1915. Turkey is ready to recognize conclusions of the
Armenian Historic Commission.

Turkey's former EU Affairs Minister and Chief Negotiator Egemen BaÄ?ıÅ?
allegedly mocked the Quran in a phone conversation with journalist
Metehan Demir, a new audio recording leaked Tuesday night has
revealed.

In the most recent sound recordings, BaÄ?ıÅ? is heard making jokes about
the Quran and saying that he `chuks' verses from the Quran every
Friday, presumably in an effort to present himself as a religious
person.

The revelation stirred a harsh reaction on social media as even
well-known Twitter users close to the ruling Justice and Development
Party (AK Party) reacted to BaÄ?ıÅ? for his disrespectful remarks about
the holy book of Muslims.

BaÄ?ıÅ? is allegedly heard saying that he searches for subjects such as
`friendship' along with the word `Quran' on Google and then `chucks'
verses that come up every Friday.

He is also allegedly heard twisting the name of the second chapter of
the Quran, Surah Baqara, calling it `makara,' which comes from Turkish
expressions that mean `to pull a prank on someone,' `to joke around,'
and the like. The combination `Baqara makara' also means that what is
being talked about, i.e., the second chapter of the Quran, is
nonsense.

Demir is also allegedly heard quoting verses of the Quran, but after
changing parts of them and ascribing random verse numbers to them.
`Whoever stands by Aydın Bey in difficult days, God will grant him
anything he wishes,' he is allegedly heard saying.

occupation troops. Turkish military will respond with harsh actions
against civilian population. Turkey will be isolated in UN. Turkish
membership in NATO will be questioned. EU will condamn turkish
and russian aggression. UN will bring sanctions against Turkey but
not against Russia, because Russia is a Veto Power. EU will bring
sanctions against Russia. Gas deliveries will stop. Russian economy
will struggle.

2018 - Turkish Troops will have trouble to maintain control in Syria.

Shias will form a new rebel alliance. Kurdish uprising will follow

Alaska back to Russia: Petition to secede gains 28,000 signatures on WhiteHouse.gov

A petition seeking to give Alaska back to Russia is gaining steam on the White House's petition website, petitions.whitehouse.gov.

The petition is strangely worded and full of grammar problems, but that hasn't stopped it from getting more than 28,000 signatures since it was created on March 21.

Titled "Alaska back to Russia." it reads:

"Groups Siberian russians crossed the Isthmus (now the Bering Strait) 16-10 thousand years ago.

"Russian began to settle on the Arctic coast, Aleuts inhabited the Aleutian Archipelago.

"First visited Alaska August 21, 1732, members of the team boat "St. Gabriel »under the surveyor Gvozdev and assistant navigator I. Fedorov during the expedition Shestakov and DI Pavlutski 1729-1735 years

"Vote for secession of Alaska from the United States and joining Russia".

The creator of the petition is known only as "S. V." of Anchorage, Alaska.

The White House will issue an official response to a petition on the site if it reaches 100,000 signatures in 30 days, Fox News reported.

This petition has until April 20 to get another 70,000 signatures.

Alaska was purchased from Russia for $7.2 million in 1867 by Secretary of State William Seward. At the time, the purchase was sometimes referred to as "Seward's Folly."

In 2012, a similar petition for Texas to secede from the United States got enough signatures to merit a response, plus a few thousand more.

A White House official wrote this statement:

"Our founding fathers established the Constitution of the United States 'in order to form a more perfect union' through the hard and frustrating but necessary work of self-government. They enshrined in that document the right to change our national government through the power of the ballot -- a right that generations of Americans have fought to secure for all. Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan calls on the youth to take revenge on Armenians

Azerbaijani youth must avenge the Armenians, stated today Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov, the Azerbaijani news agency “APA” reports.

Azerbaijani official also called the Armenians spies and added, justifying his words, “Sometimes, they say a nation should not be spoken about in this manner. But one can say such words about Armenians.”

At the same time, he wondered why only Turkey and Azerbaijan are fighting against the Armenians. “What are the other Turkic-speaking states doing?” he said, and noted that the leaders of these states pay visits to Armenia, even one of them laid a wreath at the Armenian genocide monument carried out by the Ottoman Turkey.

Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee called on the IDPs to show interest in military service, “Maybe one day, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief may order to liberate our occupied territories.”

“The attitude towards army and our soldier should be changed. The youth must show interest towards the military service,” the Azerbaijani official said.

According to him, desertion is a shame for Azerbaijan which has lost territories. Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan accused parent of the fact that the Azerbaijani youth does not want to go into the army, “The parents should be blamed in the first place. We are not vengeful people. But our youth should be ready for taking revenge.”

Rogers thinks [Russian President] Putin may invade Georgia and Armenia
"to create a land bridge to Iran".

The Fiscal Times writes this quoting Mike Rogers's appearance on
Fox News.

According to the paper, Mike Rogers reported that in addition to
massing tens of thousands of troops on the eastern border of Ukraine,
Russia is building up its military forces in the separatist Georgian
region of South Ossetia.

Rogers suggested that Russian president Vladimir Putin is considering
an invasion of both Georgia and Armenia, as part of an effort to
create an overland link between Russia and Iran.

"They are moving some of their most advanced equipment into South
Ossetia," said Rogers.

"There is no reason to do that. The Georgian army really poses no
threat. That's certainly concerning. I would ask why is he moving
the equipment that he is into South Ossetia up in Georgia, which
makes really makes no sense other than they are contemplating maybe
using those armor columns to drive through Georgia down to Armenia
to create a land bridge to Iran", Mike Rogers was quoted as saying.

Azerbaijani politician once again threatens to cut off an ear - this time it’s Vladimir Zhirinovsky’s ear

"I'll cut off Zhirinovsky’s ear for insulting Azerbaijan," chairman of Azerbaijani "Modern Musavat" party Hafiz Hajiyev made such statement, reports Azerbaijani portal Haqqin.az.

Azerbaijani politician also stated that "Zhirinovsky slacker and drinker, and that’s why his words have no weight."

As the portal notes, Liberal Democratic Party leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky has insulted Azerbaijan during his speech in the Duma. According to him, Azerbaijanis in Russian language are defined as "Caspian."

"What is Azerbaijan in Russian language? Azer is the same Khazar, that is to say the Caspian Sea, Baja means border. That is, people living on the shores of the Caspian Sea. In Russian it will be the Caspians. What is it? Is it a nationality? These are the people who live there. Just like Povolzhia or Vologod residents, and so on ..." stated Zhirinovsky.

According to "Haqqin.az" Hafiz Hajiyev’s answer is not less interesting: "I will personally cut off his ear for these offenses. And those who do not respond Zhirinovsky adequately liken to him. "

The portal also notes that previously Hafiz Hajiyev had threatened to cut off Azerbaijani writer Akram Aylisli’s ear for his novel titled "Stone Dreams."

AZERI MP WANTS SANCTIONS AGAINST ARMENIA

The U.S. government is being accused of "double standards and
hypocrisy" by an Azeri MP who wants to see sanctions put in place
against Armenia for the occupation of long-disputed territory of
Nagorno-Karabakh in the same way that Russia has faced penalties for
the invasion of Crimea.

"A law is a law and should never be interpreted differently for
different countries. Azerbaijan has almost one fifth of its territory
under occupation for 24 years by Armenian soldiers, who control
and do as they please in Nagorno-Karabakh," writes Azeri Member
of Parliament Elkhan Suleymanov in a letter to U.S. Vice-President
Joe Biden and Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner,
according to a press release from Azerbaijan Monitor.

"Where are the sanctions against Armenia?" he asked, as the world
steps up the diplomatic pressure on Moscow.

Suleymanov pointed out that rather than punish the aggressor; it is
Azerbaijan that has been punished by the U.S. via the controversial
Section 907, which bans American support for Baku. In his letter he
called for this to be repealed.

He urged the U.S. Congress "to show the same support to Azerbaijan
as the statements and events supporting Ukraine and its territorial
integrity, to make efforts to remove the problematic Section 907,
and to respect the resolutions adopted by the United Nations Security
Council," he wrote.

APA quotes Aliyev as saying, "No coincidence that 90 years ago it
was given the status of Nakhchivan autonomy within Azerbaijan. This
was a great historical event". Aliyev added that Zangezur, "a native
Azerbaijani land, was separated from Azerbaijan by Armenia. It was
a great injustice, as Zangezur is a historical, native Azerbaijani
land". "Injustice and malevolence against the Azerbaijani people
played a major role in the decision. Simultaneously, by this decision
Azerbaijan was geographically divided into two parts. At the same,
the great Turkic world was also divided in two. This is injustice,
an open wound. But I am absolutely convinced that the time will come
and we, Azerbaijanis, will return to our historical land".

The Azeri president also set his claims to Yerevan, the capital of
Armenia. "In 1918, by the decree of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic,
Erevan, our historical land, was given to Armenia. Just as a few years
later, the Bolshevik Soviet government gave Armenians Zangezur. Just as
at the end of last century Karabakh found itself under occupation. But
I am absolutely convinced that strong and growing Azerbaijan will
allow us to restore our territorial integrity and return to all our
historical lands in the future."

In Baku, Ara Gevorgyan’s composition called ‘‘Artsakh’’ is once again presented as Azerbaijani

Azerbaijani media has once again tried to mislead its readers. This time it has presented the Armenian musical composition "Artsakh" composed by Ara Gevorgyan as Azerbaijani. It is noteworthy that it has even caused the outrage of Azerbaijani users of Facebook.

Thus, on "News of Azerbaijan" Facebook page, where the articles of "Oxu.az" portal appear, a video titled "Karabakh – the pearl of Azerbaijan" was published. In this video-record the composition "Artsakh" written by the Armenian composer Ara Gevorgyan sounds. In the same time the portal says that allegedly the “author of the composition is – Fikret Amirov."

Irada Zeynalova, who is an Azerbaijani common Facebook user, pointed at the falsification fact. "Remove this post please. This music does not belong to Fikret Amirov. The music belongs to Armenian composer, and presentation of it with our flag is sacrilege," she wrote.

Another Facebook user called Ilgar Bay wrote, "Dear admins, remove this fiction. Fikret Amirov has not written such piece of work. You are mistaken, and you mislead the others."

Azerbaijani media repeatedly publish articles, the authors of which try to prove that the musical composition "Artsakh" does not belong to Ara Gevorgyan. Meanwhile, the composer stated that he had to wait for 9 months for securing the copyrights to his work "Artsakh" in 1998 in the U.S. Copyright Office in the library of the U.S. Congress, and in 1999 the album "Ani" (which includes also the composition "Artsakh") was awarded the "Best Album of the Year" (USA). Gevorgyan stated he was ready for a trail; however the representatives of Azerbaijan, apparently taking into account the absence of the arguments, did not take legal action.

Azerbaijani site "Haqqin.az" sounds the alarm: at Baku counters
appeared T-shirts with the following inscription "Kim Kardashian". As
the website notes, t-shirts with the name of the actress and model
of Armenian origin are sold at a Sederek and Bean fair. This fact
has outraged the Azerbaijani website.

The author of the article admits that "as the observers say, these
shirts are of great demand among the population, especially among
the female half of Baku." The Azerbaijani journalist poses question

Azerbaijani supermarkets stop selling Coca-Cola because of support the latter showed for arrested youth activists

The largest chain of supermarkets in Baku stopped its cooperation with Coca-Cola and refuses to sell its products because of the fact that the representation of the company in Azerbaijan had released a large batch of drinks on the banks of which the logo of the Azerbaijani youth movement NIDA was posted, Azerbaijani news portal "Haqqin.az" reports.

According to the article the company is currently in active negotiations in order to return its products to markets. With this purpose a few high-ranking representatives of the head office of the company arrived in Azerbaijan.

Earlier the Azerbaijani media reported that Coca-Cola Azerbaijan launches a batch of drinks, on the banks of which the NIDA logo will appear. At the same time the company itself refutes this information, and the photos posted on social networks are considered as fake.

Note that the youth activists of NIDA are accused of preparing riots at Fountain Square of Baku on March 10. They are also charged with illegal possession of weapons, drugs and hooliganism. Amnesty International human rights organization recognized all of them as “prisoners of conscience". On May 6, the defendants were sentenced to 6-8 years of imprisonment.
The U.S. embassy to Azerbaijan, the U.S. Helsinki Commission , UK Minister for Europe, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and Freedom House human rights organizations have condemned the arrest of Azerbaijani youth activists of NIDA, given the forthcoming chairmanship of Azerbaijan in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

AZERBAIJANI "ACADEMY" FOOLS A LOT OF SCIENTISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

Fraudulent "academy" called World Academy of Science, Engineering and
Technology (WASET) that is registered in Azerbaijan, has managed to
fool a huge number of scientists around the world, reports Azerbaijani
portal "Haqqin.az" referring to the Egyptian media.

The article reads that in Egypt, a scandal is to erupt around the
fictitious scientific academy, which is registered in Azerbaijan. It
is reported that in March of this year, the news portals of Egypt
have spread information about the sensational discovery of the
Egyptian military doctors who had allegedly developed a technology
for the treatment of AIDS and hepatitis C. The information said that
the technology of Complete Curing Device (CCD) is so versatile that
it is able to kill the AIDS and hepatitis viruses in the human body
without any therapy.

The authors argued that technology are in the final phase of testing,
and will officially be launched on July 1.

"Naturally, such sensational "discoveries" no longer surprise the
scientific world; thus no one took seriously this discovery. But in
the meantime an interesting detail was found out - the traces of this
fraud lead to Azerbaijan," writes the Haqqin.az.

Commentator of "Al Arabiya" channel Bassem Yusuf writes that
the information about the discovery of the Egyptian doctors
was published on the website of the World Academy of Science
Engineering and Technology (World Academy of Science, Engineering
and Technology-WASET).

"Despite of its recognized name, this academy is busy only by
reprinting the researches of the articles of leading research centers
and conducts scientific false conferences. Anyone can submit his
article there and then take part in the conference, pre-paying $400,"
the article reads.

In order to prove that the WASET is a fraudulent network the
journalists of "Egypt Ä°ndependent" edition hastily prepared a study
from clippings of Wikipedia articles and sent it to the academy. In
24 hours, the academy sent a reply that the work has been accepted
and the authors will only have to pay $ 400.

According to the article, after a short search the employees of
Haqqin.az found out that the fraudulent WASET is registered in
Azerbaijan and that it has managed to fool a huge numbers of scientists
around the world.

Saint Minias or Minas (Armenian: Մինաս) was an Armenian prince serving in the Roman army under Emperor Decius. He was denounced as a Christian after becoming a hermit and was brought before the Emperor who was camped outside the gates of Florence in 250 AD. The Emperor Decius was persecuting Christians at the time. Miniato refused to sacrifice to the Roman gods, and was put through numerous torments - he was thrown into a furnace, was lapidated, and was thrown to a panther at an amphitheater from which he emerged unharmed after the panther refused to devour him. He was finally beheaded in the presence of the Emperor, but his legend states that he picked up his head**, crossed the Arno and walked up the hill of Mons Fiorentinus to his hermitage. A shrine was later erected at this spot. The church of San Miniato al Monte is dedicated to him.

The crypt is the oldest part of the church and the high altar supposedly contains the bones of St Minias himself. In the vaults are frescoes by Taddeo Gaddi. Construction of the present church was begun in 1013 by Bishop Alibrando and it was endowed by the Emperor Henry II, Holy Roman Emperor. The adjoining monastery began as a Benedictine community, then passed to the Cluniacs and then in 1373 to the Olivetans, who still run it. The monks make famous liqueurs, honey and tisanes, which they sell from a shop next to the church.

San Miniato al Monte (St. Minias on the Mountain) basilica in Florence, central Italy, stands atop one of the highest points in the city. It has been described as one of the finest Romanesque structures in Tuscany and one of the most beautiful churches in Italy. There is an adjoining Olivetan monastery, seen to the right of the basilica when ascending the stairs.

Ankara. Speaking at an electioneering rally, Turkish Prime Minister
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that everyone, who tried to harm the Bosnians
would face at least 100 million Turks against them, Deutsche Welle
reported in its programme for Macedonia.

"I swear in Allah that anyone, who dares to harm the Bosnians, will
face 100 million Turks," Erdogan remarked.

In his words, in the past the Ottoman Empire handed its brothers to
Austria-Hungary and it will never forget itself about it.

"That is why no one should be surprised if a Turkish military ship
enters the Bosnian port of Neum," the Turkish Prime Minister said.

Erdogan's statement led to wild reactions among the politicians.

Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said that the Bosnians were
living freely in the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Erdogan's
statement was interference in the home affairs of the country.

Member of the Presidency Nebojsa Radmanovic, on the other hand, said
that Erdogan's statement was "the most brutal, hardest and most direct
insult and threat at the Serbs and Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina".

Turkish Ambassador to Belgrade, Mehmet Kemal Bozay, however, claimed
that the Turkish Prime Minister had never made such a statement.

Azerbaijan continues voicing territorial claims towards Armenia, Iran, Russia, Georgia, and even to Iraq. As IA REX reports, this time the claims presented by the Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Popular Front Party (Chairman, Member of Parliament Gudrat Hasanguliyev) Bunyamin Gambarli.

Thus, answering the question of the site "Moderator.az" whether the requirements for creating a "Unified Azerbaijan” do not leave a bad association, when there is Karabakh problem there, the politician replied in a sharply negative way: "No, of course not. Should we forget about Tabriz, Derbent, Geokchai, Borchali or Kirkuk, and pretend as if they are not an integral part of Azerbaijan only because they have long been occupied?"

According to Bunyamin Gambarli, currently on the agenda is "the question of unification of Azerbaijan", as far as the Gulistan and Turkmenchai peace treaties "have already lost their validity."

"When the Unified Azerbaijan will be created, then the Azerbaijani Statehood will be restored... This state will have a territory of 700 km2, and Derbent in the north, the Gulf in the south (he calls it Kenger bay), Kirkuk in the west will be within its borders," stated the Azerbaijani politician.

In its turn, Ph.D. Rafael Kasumov, commenting on Karabakh issue, argues that "on the geopolitical level Azerbaijan has the advantage."
According to him, Russia is losing its position in the region. "Instead, the prestige of fraternal Turkey in the South Caucasus grows. In this case Azerbaijan will be able to return not only Karabakh but also Erivan khanate," stated Kasumov.

Tabriz is one of the largest cities in Iran, Derbent is an ancient city in Russia (Dagestan), Borchali is a territory in the Georgian province of Kvemo-Kartli, 45% of its population is Azerbaijanis, Kirkuk is an oil-rich region in Iraq, a part of it is populates by Turkomans.

Women should not laugh in public. So said Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc in a speech on Monday about "moral corruption" in Turkey. "Chastity is so important," he said. "She will not laugh in public."

His comments have prompted a big backlash from women on social media in Turkey, with thousands posting photos of themselves laughing and smiling on Twitter and Instagram. NEW HYDE PARK (AP) Authorities say an Albany woman who crashed her car into a Long Island fire house was found to be in possession of marijuana and a stolen snake wrapped around her neck. Nassau County police say Sarah Espinosa was driving west on Jericho Turnpike on Monday when she crossed the center median and struck a vehicle. They say she continued through the front door of the New Hyde Park fire house and collided with two fire trucks. Fire personnel rushed to her aid and were surprised to find a small ball python around her neck. Authorities say the snake had been stolen from a nearby pet store shortly before the accident. Espinosa faces charges including reckless endangerment and driving while intoxicated. It wasn't immediately clear if she had a lawyer.

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ridiculed

For Telling Women Not to Laugh in Public

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc is the latest government

official to put his foot in his mouth.

In a speech last week, this high-ranking official preached his

perverted version of morality to Turkish women by telling them not to

laugh in public! `A woman will know what is haram [forbidden] and not

haram,' Arinc warned. `She will not laugh out loud in public. She will

not be inviting in her attitudes and will protect her chasteness.'

Arinc, a co-founder of the ruling AK Party, continued his chauvinist

sermonizing: `Where are our girls who slightly blush, lower their

heads, and turn their eyes away when we look at their faces, becoming

the symbol of chastity?' He ridiculed women for discussing cooking

recipes and other "frivolous things" on cell phones. Imitating a

female voice, he squeaked: `What happened to Ayse's daughter? When is

the wedding?' He told the women to talk about such insignificant

matters `face to face,' not on the phone!

The Deputy Prime Minister's demeaning remarks spread like wildfire. In

defiance, tens of thousands of Turkish women went on social media

(Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) posting `selfies,' pictures of

themselves, laughing out loud. Rather than stopping their laughter,

women started laughing ¦ at him!

Arinc's ridiculous comments were picked up by the international media,

including Hurriyet, the guardian, ABC News, The Daily Star, National

Post, Washington Post, Time magazine, Newsweek, The Australian, and

hundreds of newspapers, magazines, radio and TV stations, blogs and

websites. The Turkish Deputy Prime Minister has become the laughing

stock of the world!

The next day, instead of apologizing for his sexist remarks, Arinc

made matters worse by insisting that he stood by his words, and

attacked his critics. He wondered why everyone was focusing on a small

segment of his hour-and-a-half speech. He proceeded to mock female

celebrities: `There are some artists who laugh artificially and send

me their photos. Real laughs relieve a person, but these are

artificial ones. You all had your moment of fame, but when that

eluded, you tried to attract attention with alcohol and such fake

laughter. Despite being married with kids, women go on vacation with

their boyfriends, while leaving their husbands behind, and never miss

a chance to wrap themselves around a dancing pole.'

This is not the first time that Turkish officials have made such

asinine statements. In the past, Arinc was quoted saying that a rape

victim must have `wanted it.' He also stated that it is perfectly fine

if parents give permission to their 15-year-old daughter to marry a

45-year-old man. Ankara's Mayor Melih Gokcek, while condemning

abortion, shamefully declared: `Why should the child die if the mother

is raped? The mother should die instead.' Meanwhile, the Forestry

Minister told women who were seeking employment, `Isn't your housework

enough?' Former Minister for European Union Affairs, Egemen Bagish, an

AKP official who frequently made nonsensical statements, was quoted:

`What happened in 1915 can't be classified as genocide as far as I am

concerned, but I was not around in 1915.'

Rather than being worried about women's laughter, Arinc and Erdogan

should be more concerned about their government's increasing slide

into authoritarian rule by jailing journalists, killing Christian

priests, violating minority rights, supporting Jihadists in Syria and

Iraq, and engaging in corruption, theft and embezzlement. This is the

real immorality that Arinc should denounce.

By preaching totalitarian morality for women, the conservative Turkish

leader is appealing to Islamist voters to support Prime Minister

Erdogan who is running for President on August 10. Arinc's stone-age

strategy has backfired as nearly half of Turkey's deeply divided

society does not consider itself Islamist and was offended by his

remarks. Erdogan's rival in the presidential race, Ekmeleddin

Ihsanoglu, blasted Arinc's statement, saying that `more than anything

else, our country needs women to smile and hear everyone's laughter!'

After Erdogan's meteoric rise to power, his government has pursued

brutal policies at home and abroad, bringing worldwide condemnation to

the country. As the probable next President, Erdogan and his clique

are most likely to continue undermining Turkey's international

standing, turning it into a rogue state. After the presidential

election, Turkey's Islamist women would only laugh in private, while

the secularists would laugh in public and risk getting 100 lashes!

ACTUALLY THAI SOLDIERS ARE ON PHOTO PUBLISHED BY AZERBAIJANI SITE

YEREVAN, AUGUST 7, ARMENPRESS. Actually Thai soldiers are on the
photo published by the Azerbaijani vesti.az website, representing
allegedly the pictures of the killed Armenian servicemen.

The Azerbaijani website posted a link under the photos to the Armenian
"Yerkramas" periodical in Krasnodon. Tigran Tavadyan, Editor-in-chief
of the periodical "Yerkramas" published in Russia, in a conversation
with "Armenpress", in his turn also categorically denies to have spread
the photos. For several days "Yerkramas" website does not function,
as it has been subjected to hacker attack. We have not published any
photo," said Tavadyan.

The Azerbaijani vesti.az website published some photos on August 7,
representing allegedly the pictures of the Armenian servicemen killed
as a result of the diversion on 2-3 August. The press service of the
NKR Ministry of Defense announces that the above mentioned is another
result of the vivid imagination of the Azerbaijani propaganda. "The
Defense Army servicemen have never worn and today do not wear the
military uniform which is on the persons in the photo below," the
NKR Defense Army statement says.

Baku police took great revolutionary Che Guevara for a Wahhabite

In Azerbaijan the police detained Baku resident Gurban Mamedov who was selling books on internet, Azerbaijani news portal Haqqin.az reports. According to the source in the evening Gurban Mamedov met with one of his clients for handing him the book. At that moment two policemen came up to him, confiscated the parcel with literature and accusing him in illegal street trade took him to the police station.
After five-hour investigation in the police station Gurban Mamedov was charged with illegal street trade; to all the charges brought against him he answered that selling books and searching for clients on internet is not prohibited in Azerbaijan.
Afterwards, as the article notes, one of the policemen took out a book from the parcel on which legendary revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara was portrayed and stated that Gurban Mamedov was illegally spreading Wahhabist literature.
G. Mamedov eventually managed, although with difficulty, to convince the policemen that Che Guevara was a Latin American revolutionary and had nothing in common with Wahhabism. He was set free, being however fined 80 manats (about 80 Euro), informs the portal.

TURKISH GROUP WANTS TO PERFORM FRIDAY PRAYER IN ARMENIA

A group of Turkish NGOs have applied to the Foreign Ministry asking
permission to perform the Friday prayer at the Blue Mosque of Yerevan
in the Armenian capital.

Led by the "Organization for Fighting Against Baseless Armenian
Allegations" (ASÄ°MDER), the NGOs released a statement saying they
would like to perform Friday prayer on Sept. 5, 2014 in Yerevan.

The Head of ASİMDER, Göksel Gulbey, said the move is "a step toward
dialogue and overcoming problems between Turkey and Armenia and we
now expect Armenia to make a [friendly] gesture toward us."

The group made an official application to the Turkish Foreign Ministry
on Aug. 16, disregarding the fact that the majority of Muslims in
Turkey adhere to the Hanefi Sunni tradition, though the mosque is
primarily open to service Shiite Muslims.

"We, as the grandsons of Muslim Turkish families that were forced to
migrate from the place formally known as the Erivan Khanate, we would
now like to pray in the Blue Mosque in Yerevan," he said.

"In Turkey, the Armenian community is practicing their religion in a
free and secure way. Why can we not practice our religion on those
lands, from whence our ancestors were forced to migrate? We grew
up with the stories of those lands and now we want to see them and
perform prayers there," Gulbey added.
