Azerbaijan plans to launch a case against Armenia in the international

courts to force the latter to pay reparations for damage Azerbaijan

received as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh War between the two

countries. Ali Hassanov, Vice Prime Minister of Azerbaijan and the

head of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, stated that

international experts have estimated the approximate amount of

losses at $500 billion. Hasanov mentioned that the evaluation was

done by international experts and Azerbaijan did not participate in

the process. It seems unlikely that Armenia will agree to such claims

and the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh is still in deep deadlock.

Ներկայացնելով Հայոց ցեղասպանության վերաբերյալ կարճ պատմական ակնարկ` հեղինակն ընդգծում է, որ թեեւ Մուսթաֆա-աղան նույնպես մահմեդական է, սակայն պետք է հիշի, որ «պատմական իրողությունը հավասար է կրոնական դոգմաներին»: Ուստի նրա հիվանդագին արձագանքը բավականին տարօրինակ է: Հեղինակը ենթադրում է, որ քանի որ Ջեմիլեւի ընտանիքի հետ վերջին շրջանում դժբախտ դեպքեր են պատահում, նրա հայտարարությունները կարող են պայմանավորված լինել ուժեղ սթրեսով:

 

Հետաքրքրական է, որ իր մեկնաբանություններում Մուսթաֆա Ջեմիլեւը ուղղակիորեն ակնարկել է, որ խորհրդարանի կողմից այդ օրինագիծն արտոնելու դեպքում, մահմեդական համայնքը կարող է դիմել արմատական գործողությունների, անգամ ուժային տարբերակների: Նա անգամ խոստացել է «անձամբ առաջնորդել Ուկրաինայի թուրքալեզու ժողովուրդների զանգվածային բողոքի ակցիաները»:

 

Սակայն անհրաժեշտ է հաշվի առնել ռուսական գործոնը, քանի որ Ռուսաստանը բաց չի թողնի «քրիստոնյա-եղբայրներին» պաշտպանելու եւ թերակղզում իր ազդեցությունն էլ ավելի ամրապնդելու առիթը, նշում է հեղինակը:

Qarabag FK of Azerbaijan plans to file a complaint to the Union of
European Football Associations (UEFA).

The reason is because the Polish fans had taken the flag of
Nagorno-Karabakh to the pitch during the Piast Gliwice vs. Qarabag
return-leg match in the second qualifying round of the Europa League,
sports.ru reports making a reference to azerisport.com.

It is noted that this matter could be discussed at the UEFA
Disciplinary Committee.

ISTANBUL - Turkish authorities detained a bird on suspicion it was
spying for Israel, but freed it after X-rays showed it was not
embedded with surveillance equipment, newspapers said on Friday.

The kestrel aroused suspicion because of a metal ring on its foot
carrying the words "24311 Tel Avivunia Israel", prompting residents in
the village of Altinayva to hand it over to the local governor.

The bird was put in an X-ray machine at a university hospital to check
for microchips or bugging devices, according to the Milliyet
newspaper, which carried a front-page image of the radiogram with the
title "Israeli agent".

Ties between Turkey and Israel, long military allies, have been tense
since May 2010 when Israeli commandoes killed nine Turkish activists
aboard the Mavi Marmara, a ship in a Turkish-led convoy seeking to
break a naval blockade of the Gaza Strip.

PanARMENIAN.Net - A young man from Germany, Jonas Holländer, was ‘disappointed’ not to find himself in Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry’s blacklist.

“Dear Azerbaijan, recently you have published a list of people who are not allowed to enter your country. I am fully offended and frustrated that my name was not included in your list. Please find attached the evidence of my stay in Karabakh and correct the mistake as soon as possible,” Holländer said in a post on Facebook, attaching the photo of the visa he got for entering Artsakh.

On August 2, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has published its “famous blacklist” which includes Slovak politician Frantişek Mikloşko, Argentinean parliamentarian Jose Arbo, Russian expert Andrey Areshev, Baroness Caroline Cox, opera star Montserrat Caballé and many other famous personalities.

PanARMENIAN.Net - Օգոստոսի 2-ին Ադրբեջանի ԱԳՆ-ն վերջապես հրապարակեց իր հայտնի «սև ցուցակը», բաղկացած 335 մարդկանց անուններից, որոնք այցելել են Արցախ: Անկեղծ ասած, այս արարքը հանճարեղության հասնող հիմարության է, եթե հաշվի առնենք, որ եթե մինչ «սև ցուցակի» հրապարակումը այն ժպիտ էր առաջացնում, իսկ հրապարակումից հետո Ադրբեջանն ուղղակի համաշխարհային ծաղրի առարկա դարձավ: Սովորական մարդկանցից բացի Բաքուն ներառել է ցուցակում նաև համաշխարհային հեղինակություն վայելող անձանց, իսկ որքան շատ են ցուցակում արտասահմանցի խորհրդարանականները, լրագրողներն ու փորձագետները…

Արձագանքերը սև ցուցակին հիմնականում նույնն էին՝ դա ծիծաղելի և անհեթեթ: Իր անունն այդ ցուցակում հայտնաբերածներից ոչ մեկը ափսոսանք չի հայտնել այն մասին, որ եղել է Արցախում: Ճիշտ հակառակը՝ ով մեկ անգամ արդեն այցելել է Արցախ, որոշել է անպայման կրկին անգամ լինել այնտեղ: Կան մարդիկ, որոնք չեն գտել իրենց անունները «սև ցուցակում», թեև եղել են Ղարաբաղում: Նման մարդիկ կոչ են անում ադրբեջանական ԱԳՆ-ին շտկել սխալն ու անպայման իրենց ևս անցանկալի անձ համարել Ադրբեջանում: Ցուցակում կան նաև մարդիկ, որոնք երբեք չեն եղել Արցախում, սակայն այժմ որոշել են անպայման գնալ այնտեղ:

Ցանկացած երկրում նման խայտառակությունից հետո կաշխատեին լռության մատնել ցուցակի հետ կապված այս ամբողջ պատմությունը: Իսկ նման քայլի դրդած փիարով զբաղվող մարդկանց՝ հեռու և ընդմիտշ հեռացնել ասպարեզից Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության համար նման խլացուցիչ, համաշխարհային գովազդ ապահովելու համար, որտեղ այցելողների թիվն, անկասկած, կաճի: Նույնիսկ, ելնելով զուտ հետաքրքրասիրությունից:

Սակայն ոչ Ադրբեջանում: Այնտեղ ավելի հեռուն գնացին ու որոշեցին էլ ավելի ուռճացնել իրենց խայտառակությունը: Բաքվում որոշեցին, որ ՎՈւԱՄ անդամ 4 պետությունները՝ Վրաստանը, Ուկրաինան, Ադրբեջանն ու Մոլդովան, պետք է համաձայնագիր կնքեն «այդ երկրներում ընդունված սև ցուցակների» փոխադարձ տարածման մասին» և պայմանագիր կնքեն ընդհանուր «սև ցուցակ» ստեղծելու մասին: Ըստ ադրբեջանական տրամաբանության, Արցախ, կամ, օրինակ, Աբխազիա այցելած մարդկանց մուտքը պետք է արգելվի ՎՈւԱՄ բոլոր երկրներ: Իսկ եթե այցելուն այդ պետություններից որևէ մեկի քաղաքացի է, ապա հայրենիք վերադառնալուն պես «նա պետք է տուգանվի կամ այլ պատժամիջոցների ենթարկվի»:

Ավելին, Ադրբեջանում առաջարկում են նմանատիպ պայմանագիր կնքել նաև ավագ եղբոր՝ Թուրքիայի հետ՝ վախեցնելով նրանով, որ Արցախ այցելող մարդիկ չեն կարողանա մեկնել Անթալիայի հանգստավայրեր, կամ «այլևս երբեք չեն տեսնի Բոսֆորը»: Հիշեցնենք, որ Անթալիայից բացի բազում այլ միջերկրածովյան հանգստավայրեր կան, այլ ծովերի ափերին գտնվողներն՝ առավել ևս, իսկ Թուրքիան այցելուների պակաս չի զգում Եվրոպայից հիմնականում ցածր գների շնորհիվ: Այնպես որ, Ղարաբաղ այցելած մարդիկ, հանգստից հաստատ չեն զրկվի: Եվ Թուրքիան էլ հազիվ թե դրան գնա, իր «փոքրիկ» եղբոր քմահաճույքի պատճառով չզրկվելու համար զբոսաշրջիկներից, որոնք թուրքական ափերում վատնում են իրենց գումարները, և նոր միջպետական հակամարտություններ չհրահրել, որոնք առանց այդ էլ շատ են:

Turkish wrestler banned for racist remarks


Ankara:Turkey's Olympic medallist Riza Kayaalp was banned for six
months by the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles
(FILA) for his racist remarks against Armenians and Greeks three weeks
ago.

Kayaalp had targeted Greeks and Armenians in his tweets during the
Gezi Park unrest in Turkey, reports Xinhua.

European and World Champion Kayaalp, who had won a bronze at the 2012
London Olympics, advocated that `Armenians' were at the root of the
Gezi protests, in a series of tweets he later deleted.

FILA president Nenad Lalovic said that Kayaalp was suspended for his
racist tweets from international matches.

`He was given an immediate suspension of six months by the FILA judge
and he has the right to appeal,' Lalovic said.

Cinema Cover Ads! Kayaalp is one of the most famous sportsmen in
Turkey. He had been picked to bear the Turkish flag during the opening
ceremony of last month's Mediterranean Games in Mersin.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul addresses the Turkic summit

GABALA, Azerbaijan-Turkish President Abdullah Gul said Friday that he
wishes one day the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking
States would be held in Nagorno-Karabakh, reported the APA news agency.

"I wish the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States
to be held in Nagorno Karabakh in future," said Gul who was addressing
the summit currently taking place in the northern Azeri city.

Gul said that Turkey will make every effort to resolve the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, adding that Turkey has always supported
Azerbaijan on this issue and will continue to do so in the future.

"One of the main problems of the Turkic world is the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict. Occupation of 20 per cent of Azerbaijani territory is
unacceptable. Therefore, the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking
States supports an early resolution of this conflict," Gul said,
according to the Trend news agency.

The summit, being attended by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev,
President of Turkey Abdullah Gul, President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek
Atambayev and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, is the third of
its kind to be held in recent years.

At the conclusion of the summit, participants issued a declaration
pledging an end to the Karabakh conflict.

In the joint declaration the parties reiterated the importance
they attach to the peaceful settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which is one of the main obstacles to
lasting stability and regional cooperation on the basis of sovereignty,
territorial integrity and inviolability of borders of Azerbaijan.

The parties emphasized the aim at strengthening political and
economic security of the States in accordance with the principles
of sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders,
non-interference in internal affairs.

‘Israel behind Egypt coup’ – Turkish PM

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan claims Ankara has proof Israel was behind the July 3 military "coup" that toppled Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi, Turkish media report.

Erdogan said the West was beginning to redefine democracy as a process that is not solely determined at the ballot box, although the poll represents “the people’s will.”

“This is what has been implemented in Egypt. Who is behind this? Israel. We have evidence,” Erdogan said, as quoted by the Hurriyet daily, during a meeting with provincial chairs of his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).

The Obama administration has temporarily halted the delivery of weapons to the Egyptian military as well as some forms of economic aid to the government, despite deciding not to officially describe the military takeover as a coup. The office of Senator Patrick Leahy, the head of the Appropriations State and Foreign Operations Subcommittee, told The Daily Beast on Monday that the administration has implemented these changes over the past month as it formulates an official determination on the coup.

If a coup is determined to have taken place, current law requires the government to cut off aid funding. However, the White House maintains this has not yet been decided upon and the $585 million aid package is not technically on hold. It is not due until September 30 and “no final decisions have been made,” officials said.

"That review has not concluded and published reports to the contrary that assistance to Egypt has been cut off are not accurate," Josh Earnest, a White House spokesman, told reporters in a briefing Tuesday.

He added that Obama will meet on Tuesday with his national security team to discuss Egypt and the aid issues surrounding the country.

Multiple sources said that US leaders are acting as if a coup had taken place, even as lawmakers work to formulate their official position.

“The decision was we’re going to avoid saying it was a coup, but to stay on the safe side of the law, we are going to act as if the designation has been made for now,” one official told The Daily Beast. “By not announcing the decision, it gives the administration the flexibility to reverse it.”

The US will also hold off on delivering a fleet of Apache helicopters that the Egyptian military has already paid for, and will not yet deposit economic support funds for programs that are expected to directly help the government - although the Obama administration has repeatedly denied claims of this sort.

“Programs with the government designed to promote free and fair elections, health assistance, programs for the environment, democracy, rule of law, and good governance can also continue in cases even where a legal restriction might apply,” Psaki said on Monday. “But to the extent where there are ESF programs that would benefit the government, which is obviously, a section, we are reviewing each of those programs on a case by case basis to identify whether we have the authority to continue providing those funds or should seek to modify our activities to ensure that our actions are consistent with the law.”

Last week, Obama criticized the Egyptian military’s violent crackdown on protests - an assault that killed hundreds of civilians - but refused to directly comment on US aid to the African nation.

“While we want to sustain our relationship with Egypt, our traditional cooperation cannot continue as usual when civilians are being killed in the streets and rights are being rolled back,” he said.
