Zar, are you takig a Nutrition class or something along the lines? Lol.

Everything you wrote is like a refresher from the one I took. :)

And I misread the question you had asked previously. I thought that you were going to mention that your body digests meat slower than nayhting else you consume. It takes 5 days for it to be broken down. So you carry it around for a while before your body is able to dispose of it.

I am sure the fiber sources, overall diet, and poor digestive system play a role too, but for the most part, a big juicy steak stays "with you" for a while. :)

actually, no. I've only taken one biology class and that's about it. For me it's really just a combination of reading, studying, and self-experimentation. I'm basically self-taught and I've tried everything you can think of on myself. I think I should have documented some of it for future reference though. I can share a little if anyone wants to know what happened in different scenarios.

Yeah but you shouldn't be eating meat every day. after it's gotten into the small intestine it should be smooth sailing from there if you know what you're doing. I think there have been cases where meat has actually stuck onto peoples large intestines and the body has accepted the meat as its own flesh. Kind of nasty if you ask me but that's what happens when it stays in your digestive system for too long.

Ok Missy then help me. I need to gain 7 pounds whitin a month. I consume roughly 2300 calories a day. I know I should at least double that. Note that I have a very high metabolism. And I seldom to never stay inactive after eating. Someone told me that I should add a king sized Snickers bar and a grande coffee frappuccino to my daily intake (those are things I really like and would actually stick to). :)

Any particular item I should be adding to my daily diet? Please don't say raw egg whites. :) And I tried those protein shakes from health food stotres (the powder) that you make into a smoothie but it gave me a really bad side effect.

So please help me. I really want to gain the weight in time. Thanx in advance. :)

you might have a overactive thyroid

I know. They have tested me for that. And the findings were not "substantial" to confirm that. They said basically to go and come back when there is a real problem. They said if I was gaining weight then they would understad my concern, but since I was staying slender, they did not see the problem. But in all seriousness, my aunt and grandma are on daily thyroid medicine. I am sure heredity has given me that gift as well.

I should see a new doctor soon, huh?

Their findings are pure statistic..., which blood tests have you done, PM me the results if you want. You may have subclinical hyperthyroiditis (AKA overreactive like MosJan said).

domino is giving medical advice - Em stay a way :) Run Janik Run :)

:o there's a medic guy here?

I usually not anal about this kind of stuff but you made a mistake. It's hyperthyroidism not hyperthyroiditis. There's no such term.

-itis = inflammation

-ism = a state of the body

Actually there is: http://books.google.fr/books?q=hypothyroid...cher+des+livres

While it is true that 'itis' is supposed to represent the infammation itself, while the ''ism'' is meant to represent the condition of over production of the hormone, it has been used interchangeably. Check the first two books for exemple they use the term to only represent overactive.

But you smart @ :) are right, in term of the language itself.

Ha ha Domino it was April Fool's Day!

Of course I didn't have my teeth pulled out; but for those who felt guilty, deserved to feel guilty after a joke like yours!

This of course applies to Domino!
