Armenak
Thanks MosJan. Sorry about the size of the picture. My travel book says that there is an outlook post which you can use to see Ani. It also says that there is a city close to the border called Kharkov with good views that is restricted to Russian military personnel only. You need permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to go there.

Armenak jan - your looking at the wrong place for ANI - it's not front of KhorVirap - you can see ANI from Gyumri 'lennakan / Leninakan' border
Dave
I've heard that there is an American base on the top of Mount Ararat, the lights of which appear at night. Is that true? Edited December 17, 2006 by Dave
MosJan
it's not a base - it's Lennagantsy Onnes making BBQ every now and then
Arpa
it's not a base - it's Lennagantsy Onnes making BBQ every now and then Ոչ, ոչ. Այդ Լուսավորչի Կանթեղն է որ “Կախ է ընկած առանց պարան“. Why can’t I find that poem- Lousavorchi Kantegh by Toumanian?
Harut
I've heard that there is an American base on the top of Mount Ararat, the lights of which appear at night. Is that true? i don't know what it is, but a long light belt does appear on the mountain at nights... (at least it used to in 90s)

Nazarian
This looks a lot like the view from Khor Virap, If it is then the border is that dark strip of land a couple of kilometers from Khor Virap.
