War Breaks Out, Azerbaijan Reinvades Karabakh

For those whose heart pressure just shot up, this is just a proposed scenario. But assume for a second it becomes a reality, Azerbaijan pushes into Aghdam, soon to Stepanakert, maybe even into Armenia [with the Russian military in Gyumri not doing anything])

I'm curious how many of you (diaspore Armenian males, that is) would volunteer to go and serve and defend the country.

When the time comes, you can be sure the right people will be found. Besides, this time around there's an Armenian Army, so don't worry.

They are the ones who should be afraid. They are just howling like wolves and whining like hyenas for domestic consumption. The first thing that goes is the pipeline that will be shoved up their English lovers' you know where, and I don't think they'll like it.

This time around I really hope the Armenians won't take no prisoners and ignore their cries for cease-fire. The "Azeris" have to practice their swimming because they'll have to swim across the Caspian or become food for carnivorous sea creatures of that lake. This way this worthless species of garbage will serve for something for a change.

Hardly any most likely.

It wont be like last time. Back then there were plenty of people ready to sacrifice everything for Armenia within the Diaspora. This time around...

The majority of volunteers will be Armenians from Russia.

where the hell did you get that?

as soon as im of age (im 15 now) this may sound like just talk but that 2 meter long flag hung up in my room sympolises commitment!

i dont care anymore, armenia deserves freedom, and i knw a bunch of people ready to go down there the moment a war breaks out.plus its better, turkey cant interfere they wanna get into EU

look man, armenia is much more organised then these azeri dumbasses, and, seing as how it is historically and legally OUR etrritory, we know it best. and armenains have spirit.

we won once, wel do it again!

That's great and all, and I do hope it's not just all talk even if you're just a 15 year old kid.

The fact is the average diasporan wont survive in Armenia over a year, barely an hour in the army during peace time... The diasporans that fought and died during the last war were almost all well trained, experienced soldiers who had seen action many times in the past, particularly those from Lebanon.

Kneres unker, I guess I was doing it for kicks.

But I was simply posing the question on how much faith we can put in to the diaspore to ever answering such a call again.

This primarily stems from the high number of Armenians I have spoken to who shamelessly admitted that they dodged the draft. But I wouldn't be surprised if some Armenians from the Diaspora -American, French, or otherwise- decide to take arms (given the unlikely realization our forces are unable to contain Azerbaijan).

Monte Melkonian's words always ring true when thinking about the conflict: he always said that Azerbaijan would never stop at Karabakh. Read the comments made by Azeris on their websites and they all are itching away to march down Komitas St. or Abovyan boulevard. Of course the Azeris will all learn to swim all the way to Kazakhstan before something like that happens.

well, the first war, it was post communism. there was no organisation. and the diaspora wasnt as invovled. armenia seemed like a distant state back then, a chaotic state. i was born on one of the first days of hostilities (april 8th, alos same day as the ASALA attacks in ottawa turkish embassy).

but now, armenia is much more organised and economically stable. the diaspora is much more involved and from 1991-2006, our population has grown quite a bit!

and, support from other nations has grown as well.

theres also the fact that, armenian youth (almost all) have done millitary service or are still doing it. basically everyone knows how to shoot a gun and almost everyone has one. can you imagine? turning an entire population into an army? no turks will ever contain us, yerevan CAN NOT fall under azeri hands.

armenians have suffered to much to ever let anything of this calliber happen. and, if azeris touch armenian lands. the UN will have to get involved...then, they can kiss nato goodbye, they can kiss pretty much anything else goodbye.

ps: guys, im doing an argumentative essay fro my english class. its called "karabakh...who's is it really?"

it should be about 500-1000 words. il post it once im done, tell me what u guys think ok?

tootles

Speak for yourself. If/when the azeris start another war, with 8 of my well trained, well educated frineds, we'll be in artsak in no time.

The 15 year old kid today is more prepared to fight the enemy than ever before. When the azeris entered the war, they had the support of the soviet politburo, the red army, the republic of turkey, the jews(from Ukrain, Israel, Russia and even Armenia), the chechen, arab, and afghan terrorists + the big oil companies. Armenia, on the other hand, was forced to fight when 40% of the country was destroyed after the earthquake, when the country was in the blockade, and we had almost no guns to fight with. The times have changed... even the enemy knows that.

thank you armo armen,

yes i may be young but in the years to come, i will not be.

iv thought about this alot, iv never been afraid to die, iv always been afraid to suffer before death.

its a big thing to say and an even bigger thing to do...but iv made up my mind, whatever i do in life, will always be for armenia, true i am half irish, but armenia needs me more, i want to move there and do something to contribute. so war or not, i will die and be put to rest in armenia, on the land of my ancestors. if i will die in my homeland, it might as well be fighting

so i say...bring it on azerbaijan!

btw, i have shot a rifle before, my first time, i hit 3 8's in a row and one 9...pretty good for a first time. i figure a moving target would be hard. a man should be hard to hit...but a turkish pig isnt that hard to see nor hit! :D :P

u don't need to die to prove your love for the country/&/values. :) the war with the enemy is about defending our home and everything else that we live for.
