What would it be like had the Armenians understood the real meaning of civilization? It's not just music, dance, painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, etc. To have great warriors and generals is not enough either, it also requires some Turk-becoming savagery. This is the reason Eurofags are so deeply into the cult of Turk Phallus Worship. After all, they annihilated some half a billion human beings in the last five centuries or so. Had the Armenians slaughtered the whelps and females of the species of parasitical, nation murdering, culture destroying abomination going by the four-letter curse to humanity Turk the way they slaughtered our women and children, there would be about 50 million Christians living in their millennia old homeland, undisturbed by the cancerous Turk growth desecrating the same, multiplying itself like rats and cockroaches. So the author of this piece of work claims his interests are “many including Armenian literature, history and culture” but doesn't have the slightest idea about the whole issue he is hallucinating about. For starters: it's not about the Treaty of Sèvres, it's about the Woodrow Wilson arbitration. Indeed, you should forget Sèvres because it was not the treaty that delineated the borders between Turkey and Armenia, it's the Woodrow Wilson report, namely: FULL REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE UPON THE ARBITRATION OF THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN TURKEY AND ARMENIA. The treaty of Sèvres only served the purpose of assigning the delineation of the border to Wilson. I copy/paste from my earlier posts that deal with the issue with eventual editing where necessary: I. The Woodrow Wilson arbitration has nothing to do with the ratification or not of the treaty of Sèvres, according to the treaty, mainly the articles 89 and 90: Article 89. Turkey and Armenia, as well as the other High Contracting Parties agree to submit to the arbitration of the President of the United States of America the question of the frontier to be fixed between Turkey and Armenia in the Vilayets of Erzerum, Trebizond, Van and Bitlis, and to accept his decision thereupon, as well as any stipulations he may prescribe as to access for Armenia to the sea, and as to the demilitarization of any portion of Turkish territory adjacent to the said frontier. (all emphases are mine. Hell.) This means THE MOMENT “Turkey and Armenia, as well as the other High Contracting Parties” AGREED on “submit[ting] to the arbitration of the President of the United States of America the question of the frontier to be fixed between Turkey and Armenia”, FROM THAT VERY MOMENT: ARTICLE 90. In the event of the determination of the frontier under Article 89 involving the transfer of the whole or any part of the territory of the said Vilayets to Armenia, Turkey hereby renounces as from the date of such decision (my emphasis, this renders the ratification or not of the treaty irrelevant to the decision of Wilson’s arbitration. Hell.) all rights and title over the territory so transferred. The provisions of the present Treaty applicable to territory detached from Turkey shall thereupon become applicable to the said territory… This is the reason Wilson did not wait for the ratification of Sèvres (he did not have to) and went on with the job which he successfully carried out. II. The Wilson Arbitration has nothing to do with the Armenian Genocide, therefore whether the puppets in the White House will utter the term “Armenian Genocide” or not does not change its value. I cannot care less for some head of state of a Western country giving lip service uttering the term Armenian Genocide, to hell with all of them. Our problem with Turks is TERRITORIAL. III. Since Wilson signed the arbitration on November 20 1920 and only ten days later, the Abrahamic religion of Rabbi Mordecai Marx Levi was imposed on Armenia destroying the first republic, it stopped existing as a subject of international law, the only body that can raise the Wilson issue. IV. Since for 70 years Armenia did not exist as an independent state, i.e. a subject of international law, Armenians had to do all they could to get the Armenian Genocide recognized. Raising the Wilson issue by the Armenian state may not bring back any territory but it will give us priceless levers so vital for us countering Judeo-Anglo-Turkic distortions, it will: I. Disarm Turkey of its “arguments” for constant manipulation of the “international” community to wail along the cacophonous chorus of the Armenian Genocide denial. II. Shut up those who have fooled us into believing that we have to follow a certain procedure to get land from the perpetrator of the genocide. III. Force these deniers to pass resolution after resolution, recognizing the Armenian Genocide and beg us on their knees, only if we would leave their Turks alone. IV. This will drive the last nail into the stinking coffin of pan-Turkism, seeing that the “wedge” is too large for them to eliminate Armenia they'll give up the delusional ideology. V. As a result, the Artsakh issue will be solved much faster. In response to the constant Turk jumping up and down and howling and sniveling about Artsakh: “Give me Qarabaq, give me region, give me village, yallah...” we will say, “evacuate the illegally held Armenian territory according to the Wilson arbitration first” and they'll put a sock in it. We can actually get much more by raising the Wilson issue, I'll elaborate if needed. Just bear in mind this is the most important document of international law in our hands so, learn to appreciate it. ***** Concerning the age long Lausanne fallacy parroted by the “interested” author: Contrary to what most Armenians wrongly believe it is a very pro-Armenian treaty indeed if you take your time to read it. Here some facts: I. There is no mention of Sèvres in the text of Lausanne, i.e. nowhere it is mentioned that Lausanne renders the treaty of Sèvres invalid. They couldn't either, because according to international law, all and only all the signatories of a treaty are eligible to sign a treaty, rendering a previous one void. The signatories of Sèvres: THE BRITISH EMPIRE, FRANCE, ITALY AND JAPAN, ...ARMENIA, BELGIUM, GREECE, THE HEDJAZ, POLAND, PORTUGAL, ROUMANIA, THE SERB-CROAT-SLOVENE STATE AND CZECHO-SLOVAKIA, ...of the one part; ...AND TURKEY, of the other part; The signatories of Lausanne: THE BRITISH EMPIRE, FRANCE, ITALY, JAPAN, GREECE, ROUMANIA and the SERB-CROAT-SLOVENE STATE, of the one part, and TURKEY, of the other part; II. The treaty of Lausanne deals with the borders of Turkey with Bulgaria and Greece and there is not a single mention of borders with Soviet Armenia or the Soviet Union in general. This means it recognizes the borders drawn by another treaty and the only internationally legal document regarding that with Armenia is the Wilson arbitration. III. The articles 37 through 45 of the Lausanne treaty (SECTION III. PROTECTION OF MINORITIES) prove how beneficial to Armenians, among other “minorities” of Turkey, this treaty actually is and to what extent Turkey's savage behavior in destroying Armenian monuments (among other monstrosities committed against “minorities”, since 1923) is in breach of this same Lausanne treaty Turks shove in our faces every time we demand justice. IV. Since the drawing of the border between Turkey and Armenia was assigned by the signatories of Sèvres to the president of the United States of America, making the States an integral part of the treaty of Sèvres, the US has to this very day refused to recognize the Lausanne treaty, mainly because Turkey has not fulfilled its obligations regarding the Armenian border in breech of the law of the land of the United States of America.

A million articles (most of them mild condemnations and mainly warnings to Armenians not to take revenge) have less effect than a full-length reportage on a TV channel watched by millions, mostly Muslims. I find this very dangerous and I desperately hope some Armenian organizations would respond. After a totally distorted Armenian Genocide denying Turk defecated one hour vomit called “Common Pain”, Aljazeera regurgitated another heap of Turk puke the “Azeri” Turks had thrown up which puke Aljazeera had sucked off the floor and swallowed. The most important detail of the crime, the fact that the Turk monster Ramil Safarov had slaughtered Gurgen Markarian when Gurgen was sleeping was omitted in the “report”. The reporter, a certain Robin Forestier-Walker met with the monster's progenitor in their house and had a fun time browsing the family album gloating over little Ramil's pictures, saying wonderful words how cute baby Ramil was, rousing sympathy for a genocidal fiend, at the same time the progenitor of the beast wove Turk becoming fairy tales where Ramil as a child had only seen decapitated corpses, heart of a female relative (which relative was not mentioned) ripped and put in her mouth, etc., etc. Apart from the sociological fact that you cannot justify monstrous crimes whining about your past misery, the point is the whole thing was being projected as if all this crap was nothing but pure reality. Not one epsilon of doubt was cast on the lies of the monster creating “Azeri” Turk. Same story with an “Azeri” Turk suit and tie barbarian minister who with his excellent English and with a self-righteous angry attitude accused the Armenian government of having “heroized” (from the rich diction of the “minister”) terrorists “many times” and having erected monuments for terrorists, “monuments of killers of woman and kid” he angrily added. The POS reporter did not even ask for a single such case or the name of one such terrorist of course. So, the whole thing went on as if the whole anti-Armenian hate propaganda was nothing but the truth. Not a single word from the Armenian side, not a visit to the parents of Gurgen Markarian to know how they felt... The crown jewel of this odious piece of dirt was the lie that the beast Safarov had killed Gurgen Markarian because he had desecrated the worthless flag of fake “Azerbaijan”, where in fact the court had proved that the two had never faced one another and the only reason the Turk monstrosity had hacked Gurgen to death was because Gurgen was an Armenian. So, once again the Muslim biased Aljazeera (paid by Turkey?) used a horrendous genocidal crime to accuse Armenia of having occupied fake “Azerbaijani” territory, having caused the displacement of about a million people “mostly “Azeri””, not a word about the half of this million who were Armenians thrown out of their homeland all over fake “Azerbaijan”, as a result of genocidal pogroms, living hundreds of kilometers away from the battlefield, whereas the Turks were displaced as a result of the “Azeri” instigated all out war mainly from the war zone. This is what's more worrying. The Al Jazeera program called "Common Pain" broadcast yesterday was about the Armenian Genocide, it was "well produced" yet entirely based on the denier's view. Many millions, mainly Muslims watch Al Jazeera and this sort of filth propaganda will mislead them. So far the relation to the Big G. What I am asking here is: what shall we do to counter this? Who among Armenians has the resources to compel Al Jazeera to broadcast an at least to some extent truthful documentary like the one done by Arte? If you remember, some years ago Armenians compelled Time to kind of revise their dissemination of disgusting Turk propaganda in form of a DVD. I find this really serious. For instance, some weeks ago a very popular Iranian satellite channel (Manoto 1) based in the UK showed the Arte movie about the AG and the reaction from Iranians was enormous. Hundreds of thousands of Iranians who knew next to nothing about the AG learned a lot. Now imagine a part of these who may also watch Al Jazeera sees another account of the events. Don't you think that their freshly acquired knowledge will immediately be influenced by such distorted propaganda? Someone should do something in the same way they did with Time.

I saw that too. The problem is the policy. There was a disclaimer by Al Jazeera at the end of Grandma's Tattoos regarding the veracity of the depicted events. Regarding news concerning the Armenian Genocide during the recent French legislation fiasco the news reader said "THOUSANDS (not even hundreds of thousands or even tens of thousands) of Armenians died during 'events' of 1915", as if those events were in the same proportion as those going on in Syria. This is a disgusting policy. This much denigration of the Armenian Genocide shouldn't be tolerated in the light of the Turkish infiltration in the Middle East and the hundreds of millions of mainly Muslim viewers of the channel whose opinions will be misshaped by the garbage disposed from Al Jazeera.

A Turk propaganda program full of despicable lies, the usual Turkish view in the line of “Armenians rebelled against ‘their nation’ they had to be eliminated”, “It was war… People died”, “only 300,000 died so it was not genocide”, etc. was broadcast moments ago on Al Jazeera Intl. (almost 80% in Turkish with English subtitles). How shall we counter this? I didn't find a blog or comments page regarding this vomit inducing trash on the Al Jazeera website. Արդեօք Հայաստանի Հանրապետութիւնն ու Թուրքիայի Հանրապետութիւնը, համաշխարհային իրաւունքի տեսանկիւնից, իրաւասո՞ւ են հաստատել գոյութիւն ունեցող սահմանը: Յստակեցնեմ հարցադրման էութիւնը: Համաշխարհային իրաւունքի տեսանկիւնից որեւէ միջազգային բազմակողմ պայմանաւորւածութիւն, անկախ նրա դրսեւորման ձեւից՝ պայմանագիր, համաձայնագիր, արձանագրութիւն եւ այլն, կարող է փոփոխութեան ենթարկւել, դադարեցւել կամ չեղեալ յայտարարւել միմիայն տւեալ փաստաթղթի մաս կազմող բոլոր կողմերի մասնակցութեամբ եւ համաձայնութեամբ: Այս սկզբունքը, պայմանագրերի մասով, ամրագրւած է (codified) պայմանագրերի մասին Վիեննայի կոնւենցիայի (1969) 39 - 41 յօդւածներում: Նախկին ԽՍՀՄ-ի սահմանի հայաստանեան հատւածի «հաստատումը» որպէս Հայաստանի եւ Թուրքիայի սահման, իրաւական տեսանկիւնից, նշանակում է սահմանի փոփոխութիւն1), քանի որ Հայաստան-Թուրքիա «de jure» սահմանը էապէս տարբերւում է խորհրդային-թրքական սահմանից: Նշեալ իրաւական (de jure), այսու միակ օրինական, սահմանը «հաստատւել է» բազմակողմ փաստաթղթով, հետեւաբար՝ գոյութիւն ունեցող սահմանի հաստատումը էութեան մէջ սահմանի փոփոխութիւն է եւ, տւեալ դէպքում, դուրս է երկկողմ յարաբերութիւնների շրջագծից՝ հետեւեալ պատճառով: 1918 թւականի հոկտեմբերի 30-ին Օսմանեան կայսրութիւնը, Առաջին աշխարհամարտում ջախջախիչ պարտութիւն կրելուց յետոյ, ստորագրում է Մուդրոսի զինադադարը: Իրաւական տեսանկիւնից այս զինադադարը անվերապահ կապիտուլացիա էր, հետեւաբար՝ Թուրքիայի ողջ ինքնիշխանութիւնը sovereignty, մինչեւ խաղաղութեան պայմանագրի կնքումը, փոխանցւում է յաղթանակած ուժերին: Այսինքն՝ այդուհետեւ յաղթանակած Դաշնակից ուժերին2) էր վերապահւած որոշելու, թէ Օսմանեան կայսրութեան որ մասում եւ ինչ աստիճանի է վերականգնւելու թրքական պետութեան ինքնիշխանութիւնը: 1919-1920 թւականներին խաղաղութեան պայմանագրերի պայմանները քննարկելու համար՝ Փարիզում գումարւում է խաղաղութեան վեհաժողովը: 1920 թւականի ապրիլին Փարիզի խաղաղութեան վեհաժողովի Սան Ռեմոյի նիստն անդրադառնում է Օսմանեան կայսրութեան ճակատագրին: Բնականաբար, կարեւորագոյն հարցերից մէկը Հայաստանի ապագայի հարցն էր: Ուստի՝ Դաշնակից ուժերի Գերագոյն խորհուրդը (Supreme council of the allied powers) ապրիլի 26-ին պաշտօնապես դիմում է ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Վուդրօ Վիլսոնին՝ Իրաւարար վճռով որոշելու Հայաստանի Հանրապետութեան սահմանը (to arbitrate the frontiers of Armenia)3): Վերջին պարբերութեան մէջ առկայ են երկու հանգամանքներ, որոնք արժանի են լրացուցիչ պարզաբանման: ա- Փարիզի վեհաժողովի Գերագոյն խորհուրդը լիազօրւած էր եւ գործում էր Դաշնակից բոլոր ուժերի անունից: Այսինքն՝ իրաւարարութեամբ Հայաստանի սահմանը որոշելու հայցադիմումը (compromis), հետեւաբար՝ դրա հիման վրայ կայացւելիք վճռի անվերապահ ընդունման պարտաւորութիւնն արւած էր բոլոր Դաշնակից ուժերի անունից: Առաջին աշխարհամարտի տարիներում Դաշնակից ուժերի (Allied powers) մէջ ուղղակիօրէն ընդգրկւած էին աւելի քան երեք տասնեակ երկիր, իսկ Բրիտանական կայսրութեան, Ֆրանսիայի երրորդ հանրապետութեան, Ճապոնիայի եւ Իտալիայի թագաւորութիւնների կախեալ տարածքներով (dependent territories) հանդերձ գրեթէ հարիւր երկիր: բ- Հայաստանի Հանրապետութեան սահմանը, ի տարբերութիւն Թուրքիայի միւս սահմանների, որոշւելու էր ոչ թէ խաղաղութեան պայմանագրով, այլ՝ իրաւարարութեամբ (arbitration): Իրաւական տեսանկիւնից սա խիստ կարեւոր առանձնայատկութիւն է, քանի որ պայմանագրերը միշտ էլ կարող են կողմերի համաձայնութեամբ փոփոխւել, կասեցւել, չեղեալ յայտարարւել, իսկ Իրաւարար վճիռներն վերջնական եւ անբեկանելի են (final and without appeal), ինչպէս նաեւ կայացման պահից կատարման համար պարտադիր են (binding):4) Այսինքն՝ իրաւարարութիւնը, ի տարբերութիւն պայմանագրի, ենթակայ չէ վերանայման: Բացի այդ՝ իրաւարարութիւնը եւ պայմանագիրն ունեն հակառակ ընթացակարգեր: Եթէ պայմանագրի դէպքում նախ համաձայնութիւնն է ձեռք բերւում, յետոյ միայն այն ստանում է համապատասխան իրաւական ձեւակերպում, ապա իրաւարարութեան դէպքում՝ նախ ստորագրւում է ապագայ համաձայնութիւնն անվերապահ ընդունելու հայցադիմումը (compromis), յետոյ նոր միայն կայացւում է վճիռը (award): Այսու, ի հետեւանս վերոյիշեալ ապրիլի 26-ի հայցադիմումի, 1920 թւականի մայիսի 17-ին ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Վուդրօ Վիլսոնը պաշտօնական գրութեամբ ստանձնում է հայ-թրքական սահմանի իրաւարարութիւնը եւ ձեռնամուխ է լինում համապատասխան աշխատանքներին: Այստեղ անհրաժեշտ է ընդգծել, որ սա Սեւրի պայմանագրի ստորագրումից (10 օգոստոսի 1920 թ.) գրեթէ երեք ամիս առաջ էր, ըստ այդմ, իրաւարարութեան գործընթացը սկսւել է խաղաղութեան պայմանագրի ստորագրումից եւ նրա մէջ որպէս 89-րդ յօդւած ներառւած հայցադիմումից՝ անկախաբար: Ամփոփելով՝ կարելի է կատարել հետեւեալ յստակ եզրակացութիւնները. Թուրքիայի հետ Հայաստանի Հանրապետութեան սահմանը որոշւել է երկու իրարից անկախ հայցադիմումի (Սան Ռեմոյի 26 ապրիլի 1920 թ. եւ Սեւրի 10 օգոստոսի 1920 թ.) հիման վրայ կայացւած Իրաւարար վճռով: Վճիռն օրինապէս կայացւել է 1920 թւականի նոյեմբերի 22-ին եւ իր ուժի մէջ է մտել նոյն օրը: Երկու օր յետոյ‘ նոյեմբերի 24-ին, վճիռը պաշտօնական հեռագրով փոխանցւել է Փարիզ: Վճիռը երբեք չի բողոքարկւել, այն ուժի մէջ է առ այսօր: Վճիռն իրաւական է եւ օրինական (legal and lawful): Այն գործում է Սեւրի պայմանագրից անկախաբար: Սեւրի պայմանագրի մէջ ներառւած հայցադիմումը (compromis)՝ յօդւած 89, եղել եւ մնում է յաւելեալ, բայց ոչ հիմնական հայցադիմումը: Այսու, Հայաստանի եւ Թուքիայի միջեւ սահմանը հաստատւել է համաշխարհային իրաւունքի բազմակողմ փաստաթղթով (multilateral instrument of international law)՝ Իրաւարար վճռով (Arbitral Award), որին այսօր կողմ են հանդիսանում գրեթէ հարիւր երկիր: Այս ամբողջին անդրադառնալուց յետոյ՝ վերադառնանք բուն հարցին. - Միջազգային իրաւունքի ո՞ր հիմնաւորմամբ են Հայաստանի Հանրապետութեան եւ Թուրքիայի Հանրապետութեան իշխանութիւններն ուզում անտեսել իրենց իսկ միջազգային պարտաւորութիւնները եւ երկկողմ արձանագրութեամբ բեկանել բազմակողմ միջազգային անբեկանելի որոշումը՝ Իրաւարար վճիռը: Ընդսմին պէտք է նկատի ունենալ, որ միջազգային իրաւունքում սկզբունքնօրէն բացակայում է օրինապէս ուժի մէջ մտած Իրաւարար վճռի փոփոխման, կասեցման կամ բեկանման ընթացակարգ կամ նախադէպ: 20 սեպտեմբերի 2009 թ. ——————————————————————————————————————— Յ. As long as we are divided and view our own as our enemies, we will have to suck on it forever. ...And Mr. Torosyan: Kars, Ardahan, Surmalu (with Mount Ararat) are in what is referred to as Eastern Armenia. P.S. I have said it, I don't like the terms Eastern/Western Armenia. There is this tiny, less than 10% Armenia of today and the rest is occupied by our neighbors. What is wrongly known as Western Armenia should be referred to as Turk-Occupied Armenia.
