until i was 7 yrs old i only spoke armenian. i could read and write armenian. in the 50s they didnt have bi-lingual schooling. because i was doing so poorly in school the school dept told my parents to stop speaking armenian in the house, so they did. i might not be able to read and write now but i know my basic phrases. i also take armenian classes on the internet. please if you think your only a good true armenian if you read, speak or write armenian your wrong. i am proud of being an armenian and would challenge anyone who dares challenge me on that issue. my mother and her sisters were the founding fathers of the a.y.f. and a.r.f. in providence r.i. my father was fluent in armenian and i am full blooded armenian. just because i am an american armenian it doesnt make me less armenian than you.

turks are our blood enemy.....do we at least agree on that?

Hovan with all due respect for your age, you seem very naive when it comes to world politics. In politics there are no black or white colours but lots of grey area and yet you are trying hard to see things in black or white. Please go to your nearest library and start reading with the history of Armenians first and then read the Armenian Genocide the real culprits and their accomplices after that read how the Muslim Arabs opened their doors to Armenians and who let them prosper.

Turks are muslims so are the mojority Arabs but Arabs are not Turks. Arabs suffered under the Turks as bad as the Armenians. Armenians are Christians so are the Germans and The British but these two people aided Turkey in their campaign to hurt the Armenians. So what I'm getting at is that don't let your judgement guide you along the religious lines but what they do with their actions.

I can go on with this but please do your homework before passing judgement with simple statements because the reality is not that simple. I hope this will clear some issues with you. Thanks

Please read all the posts about, and do not respond until you nhsve rad everything said about “donmeh”s. It is the latest Turkish ploy to divert attention that all those Talaat’s, Enver’s and Mustafa’s were not genuine native Turks but Macedonian Jew-Turk converts, while at the same time they dedicate statues to Talaa., and worship the ground of that “donmeh” Ataturk walked..

A Turk is a Turk, no matter if of Mongolian, Macedonian, or Aramazt mi arastseh , of Armenian heritage.

Why is this thread turning into turko/donmeh/kakma when hundreds and thousands of innocent Lebanese, maybe even Armenian babies are being massacred by those "chosen people'"? Chosen for what? To insult their entire neighborhood and the world?

what im saying is i dont trust them...heres the way i see it. there are millions of muslems that are like you and me. they want to work, tkae care of their family and prosper in peice. now you cant say there is not a goup of nuts who have twisted their religion. not unlike christians who killed jews in spain or muslems for their gold during the crusades or even the genocide against the american indian for their land. however when these groups start with their hate propagander and start to work up the masses people loose their minds and are carried away with all that crap. look at nazi germany.there was a country that until hitler got into power lived side by side with the jew. within a couple of years the jew needed to be exterminated. after the war when these everyday people were questioned they couldnt explain why they supported hitler. they got carried away with the whole movement. this has a good chance to happen in the mid east. look what the jew is doing. do you think they are making friends with the moslem.i dont think so. and the extremest will use this to his advantage. if enough people listen and believe it will build momentum and get out of control. the mob will rule and no one will be safe. after the jews who will be next?

Please Hovan judge people what they have done so far not what they might do in the future which is assumption. You just proved my point its got nothing to do with religion any mob can be worked out and do things blindly no matter what religion they might have.

arpa, teacher, you too make spelling errors...shame

Yes I do. Mostly mechanical v contextual.

Get a life!

You barged on us with your inane "anti-semitic" ( meaning anti-jew, anti-arab)barrage, and now you expect us to pay credence to your diarrhea of the mouth?

Please don't compete with me. I know better English than GWB, and more Armenian than Kocharian.

Thats the whole idea of propaganda. You have to look between the lines and use your judgement and don't take everything you hear as face value. I will give a simple example of propaganda on CNN.

During their reports if you paid attention on the map when they were showing the bombs falling on each teritory of Lebanon and Israel the icons on lebanon looked like a sunny weather icon where as in Israel it looked like an inferno icon full of red fire and yet the Lebanese looked like a sunny yellow weather icon. Is this coincidence or propaganda to make it look very bad in Israel and not so bad in Lebanon.

you know, I really hope you're right, but when you see a footage (non CNN footage), of these muslim mothers sending their sons to be martyrs and kill others, it just amases me, and they do it with such pride. I saw a video of a mother saying that she's so proud that her 19 year son is going to kill himself today. Any mother that is willing to give her child up for a cause of holy war, is crazy. That's why I don't like muslims, and I don't understand them and they also scare the heck out of me.

Oh, and one more thing... Armenians should not be living amongst muslims in muslim countries. It's too dangerous. We all thought that Azeris were our friends until pogroms in Baku. I'm not even starting w/ AG.

I do not understand that also, but then again I'm not in their shoes to know why they do it.

Having said that during the Armenian Genocide the Armenian mothers threw their girls into the river so that the Turks won't rape them, what kind of mothers were they? Do you want to judge them? I would not even dare to think to judge them. Fire only burns where it falls.

How can you compare what Armenian mothers did during the AG and what the muslim mothers are doing now? They had no choice, and those, poor, poor girls would be be tortured much, much worse in the hands of damn Turks and murdered. I would never judge them. But these are voluntary young people who are going and killing themselves for nothing.

If you read my post carefully you will see that I'm not camparing them. At the beginning I told you I don't understand also but I'm not going to judge them because I'm not in their shoes, neither should you.

For a mother their children is their most presious thing and its not easy to sacrifice them.
