Takoush
Dear Alby: You lighted up my day with your gorgeous panoramic pictures. It's so beautiful beyond explanation. You made me relieve again my trip to our Homeland when I went years ago. The Apovian herabarag has changed so much for the better. Most places are not recognizable for me. It's almost like a new city, but for the better!!! Thank you for displaying it for us!!!!! Edited June 17, 2006 by Anahid Takouhi
alby
I am glad you enjoyed the panos. I look at them when I want to visit Armenia. Even though I wasn’t born there I always miss it.

Takoush
I believe you have told us once before that you already knew that Yerevan has changed a great deal. Now you tell us that it has changed ever since you went.
phantom22
Huh? I had read that things were different and had seen pictures of the numerous new cafes, but these panorama photos, especially of the area of the Cascades, I had not seen before. Vartan Mamigonian
Huh? I had read that things were different and had seen pictures of the numerous new cafes, but these panorama photos, especially of the area of the Cascades, I had not seen before. Not too many individuals have an artistic appreciation of the panoramic sceneries of certain magnificent heights and depths associated with colorful yet mellow breathtaking experiences. What an amazing phenomenon!
alby
I have had many positive responses to my panoramic images. There are many more from many of the ancient churches that I will add in time. In the mean time I just have added another full immersion 360-degree panorama. This one from the Geghart yard. Geghart Panorama Like the other spherical panos you can rotate around the scene using your mouse. Check out the complete list of panoramas (19 so far) to date below: Panorama Page When I feel I want to visit Armenia I take a look at these panoramas. View and enjoy. alby
New panoramas from Armenia. Dear members, since the last time I mentioned about the panorama images here, I have added a few more 360 degree panoramas. Check them out, I hope you would like them. This is as close as I personally feel being in Armenia without being there. As much as I and I am sure many others like me would love to be there often can’t, because the costs are prohibitive. Here are the links and as always, I do appreciate your comments, good or bad. I hope it will bring back good memories for all of you who’ve been there and I also hope these panos would encourage all those who have not yet been to Armenia to go there. No matter how much you look at any photos, it will never be like being there. alby
Good job Albert! It really creates a virtual link to homeland. I wonder what type of camera were you using? I used a Canon 20D, a fisheye lens and a pano head. hardest part of creating these types of panoramas is the computer work, but the results make it worthwile. I certainly enjoy creating these images. Unfortunately I was not able to finish this project when I was there and I am hoping that I can go back there within the next two years and stay there for one year to capture the seasons and all the areas of interest. The biggest obstacle for this project is the cost, which I hope I can resolve.
