Beckham.

Please...he probably is THE most overrated player in the world (or at least, was). Granted he is one of the best (if not the best) long-ball players in the game and is equally accurate from corners and free-kickers. He has no other standout abilities.

Yes, Kudos to the 'roos! Two very smart substitutions, 3 very nice goals. Made for a great start for the day. The highlight for me however was Italy's win over Ghana and those thunderous goals from Andrea Pirlo and Tomas Rosicky who alongside his boys murdered The U.S.

Brazil plays tommorow:

JOGA BONITO :D

Boghos jan you tend to pick up alot watching this game... :)

Today went as follows:

Korea came back, France got surprised and Brazil was BRAZIL!

I think my second most favorite soccer player name is definitely PIMPONG (Ghana)

Does the first one happen to be (Nuno) Gomes -pronounced GOM-ESH by some-...?!!

J/K though, good player...

The first one is Ruud van Nistelrooy (aka Rutgerus Johannes Martinius van Nistelrooij.

With Pimpong, I cracked up EVERY time they said his name .. oh and I mostly watch the spanish broadcasts because I simply can't stand most of the US ones. Tommy Smith is a big exception and I wish he could broadcast all the games.

Brazil was superb as usual but not as proficient in scoring as I was expecting. Ronaldo turned out to be a huge dud but I was expecting that too. I sort of miss Rivaldo but Kaka seems to be taking over very nicely.

So far, I have had the most fun watching the Australians come back against Japan and the first 20 mins of the Brazil-Croatia game. The South Korea game was good too ... especially when the little koreans went flying everytime one of the Togo guys flicked them ever so slightly :D

Not anymore, SPAIN 4-0 UKRAINE WHAT A MATCH!!!

The last goal...oh my goodness....

This was not a match it was a one sided slaughter. A good match is when both sides are equally good and you get attack and counter attack one after another.

So far new comers to the world cup are giving more exciting games than the veterans.

With the Spanish slaughter :o of Ukraine, Shevchenko's ride looks to be silent walk.

But how about that Argentina Today....?!!!

SIX

ZERO

Looks like the Serbia-Montenegran disintegration is more than political, and if you remember this was the same "fab four" defense that allowed a single goal in all their qualifying matches.

Mexico's goalless finish against Angola was surprising.

Highlight of the day: Sorin>Crespo (BACK HEAL)>Cambiossa...What a goal...!!! :D :D :D

Yes it was a very good match! Anyone watch the Italy-USA match? It was a lame match and those Italians sure don't know the meaning of good sportsmanship. I hope Mexico gets sent packing soon, lol, that will be like the sweetest tasting candy. GO BRAZIL kick some Aussie butt today!

Well it was pretty to watch, and Argentina has always been one of my favorites, but I wouldn't read too much into the goal or that 6-0 result.

Those guys can do this all day when the opposition stands around and casually jogs. S & M were quite atrocious. I don't know why they even came to the WC if they decided they weren't going to play. That 24 pass buildup to goal should have never happenned if the opoosition actually put pressure on the Argentine players. Just look at how relentless the Koreans were with France.
