But considering that it is a cookie with the main indredient as dates/արմաւ then how about արմաւանուշ? Anahit you know what "ghouraibieh" means literally. It means "western" based on "gharb/ghouraib(plural)/maghreb/Morocco". Do you also know what "gharib/ղարիբ" means. It also means "western/alien". And how about "ghourban/ղուրբան", which also means "westerns", except that in this case it means "sacrifice/victim/մատաղ", referring to the stupid Europeans/Armenians, the willing and easy prey to the sword of Mohammed/Mehmet the SOB. Harut gets the Արմաւենի!! I may have spoken too soon when I remanded Harut to jail for using an otar word. He may get out of jail now. No, wait! The only “fly in the ointment” is its title, “Mekh Show”? Every one, including my grandmother knows that the Armenian word for nail is “գամ/gam”, սեպ as in սեպագիր/cuneiform actually means “wedge” . Now, let’s get back to “khourma/արմաւ”. As always WE are the first. Արմաւ/Armau seems to be the original form of that fruit/tree, the palm tree and its fruit, the date. In time the Persians added the “kh/qu” at the beginning of the word and turned it to “khurma/qurmau”, from where those perennial thieves, you know who they are, copied it , yet, sad to say we, the perennial slaves having forgotten all about our culture, forgot the original form and instead use words stolen from us and returned back in a corrupted form. BTW. Why do natives of the Araratian Plain use more Turkish words than the so called “turkified” Kiliketsis??!! PS. Anahid, ես չպիտի հանդիմանեմ քեզ այլ պիտի խրատեմ: “Խոշ” Հայերէն չէ եւ ոչ ալ Թրքէրեն այլ Պարսկէրէն որ նշանակէ հաճելի: Իրենք, Պարսիկները կասեն խոշ= happy, gay, յիշիր որ սարխոշ Պարսկերէնով նշանակէ “mildly intoxicated”, i.e. to the extent of being intoxicated enough to be pleasant. But thank you for telling me. However, after using the word 'xosh' I also said it in Armenian purposely so I don't get slapped by you for not using the Armenian version.
