Basically you have pretty much ALL channels that are transmitted via DBS (Direct to home) satellite - which is basically DirectTV. Probably some channels aren't offered legally by directTV, but may be transmitted anyway, so you'll end up getting it if you have what Anna's talking about. I have direct tv, it is suppose to be illigal, but everyone has it, and nobody is doing anything about it. I've had it for 6 years now, and I never had any problems with it. style_images/master/snapback.png Actually, you should be careful: Offense: For receiving a scrambled signal that has been decoded without permission Penalty: - Individuals: Fine up to $10,000 per day or/and a prison term of up to six (6) months. - Corporations: Fine up to $25,000 per day or/and a prison term of up to six (6) months. Six years, let's see - that's 2190 days, plus 2 days for a leap years. You'd be subject to a fine of 21,920,000 $ I know that they're not exactly hunting down signal stealers, but I guess that's illegal enough for me. They have just sold the rights to broadcast them in the US to Dish, but they still get some money from Dish for each subscription that is sold. We are a little protectionist up here when it comes to Canadian content. So much of our media - isn't really ours, it's yours. If measures aren't in place to re-enforce the distribution, broadcast and viewership of Canadian-made content, some would argue that the media/production industry here, and the related cultural aspects, would simply die off. The CRTC regulations governing the operation of foreign content service providers aren't in place to make money - but more to protect the industry. Why pay $15 a month, when you can pay $550 and get a satelite card. We pay $22.95 per month for Globecast and that lets us get Ch. 4 which is the H1 from Armenia and Ch. 700 for the Horizon station from Los Angeles, along with dozens of Asian and Middle Eastern stations. I rarely watch H1 unless it's a fun event involving singing or dancing. Horizon I basically watch one show - Dr. Krikor Tatoyan on Outreach - which airs 9:30 pm to 10:30 pm Eastern time (6:30 pm in LA) on Thursday nights. He gives medical advice with his Halebtzi Armenian accent and mannerisms. He is ridiculously funny and interesting to watch. It's a call-in show and people call in from all over the US and Canada.
