It may look like feeling cool if one just keeps talking and talking, perhaps we are doing that same wrong thing. But being truly spritual or religious is neither easy nor cool, unlike what some bogus theories will tell. style_images/master/snapback.png We could also think about it in terms of constant search vs stagnation. We all know that our body and emotions exist and we explore them all the time. We are not sure if the spirit exists. However, we sould never stop exploring the possibility of its existence. One note about athesim. It is one of the states of mind one needs to expore the existence of God. If you can realy meditate and picture the real atheist world in your imagination it will be very easy to find the sub-conscious contrast, The God. In other words if you pacify your thoughts to the point where you find the absolute nothingness the idea of "God alive" becomes more and more evident. Armen
I am numbed ... by repression of passion. style_images/master/snapback.png Eve, Nazism is a passion too. Killing emotionally is not that much different from killing physically. Passion has a scale and once you get tired of one stage you move to another. It amplifies all the time. You will get tired of one man, than you will get tired of two men, than a group of men, than you will get tired of stick and carrot and move to a girl. And you will get tired of her too ... Pray to die at that moment not to move to the other steps...

Anileve
Ahem....may I just remind you people that this is Anileve's corner not ATHEIST'S corner, let's treat the title respectively. I honestly haven't thought of it in that form, fantastic analysis, I'll think about it more and get back to you. Also I want to address your posts regarding Egoism. You are always expanding my views and presenting a stunningly clear approach to certain situations which I have a hard time formulating, you are such sweetness! Anileve
Ani, dreams are very rare for me, or at the very least I don't remember them. However, recently I woke up from my sleep by my own laughter. I don't know who was playing what joke on whom in the office. A bit disturbing, though, to be laughing like that by oneself in one's sleep. style_images/master/snapback.png Hmmmm, Stormi....don't lash out on me, but from the above post it seems that you are enjoying your newly acquired toy a bit too much. I wish you would share the wealth with your desperate friend. You can PM me the name of the store, hopefully you've purchased it online.

Are they masculine or feminine in alegory?
Anileve
I see you have changed your title, a first sign of a successful Master-Slave contract. Untaming is mandatory for the promise of a new conquering. We wouldn’t want to develop a stoic agreement. Circumstances are unisex. They are a funny thing never allowing us to adjust a radar to detect how to approach the situation. However it’s interesting you asked this, it took me a while to think about it and I had a revelation. If the circumstances are indeed female in nature I find that it’s best to “treat” them with a male element and visa versa, that approach always produces the best result. But they are never in unison per se. Armen jan, very interesting, I never thought of it before. You see? Always inspiring new ideas!
Armen
I think it's more like a Master-Master contract I guess I don't agree with you on what you call "a conquering". If you think a conquest is that fast and simple I think it is wrong and superficial. You think that when you say that you agree with something I said, I immediately think that I have conquered you? It is far from being like that Eve jan. Circumstances... They are always masculine although their subtle nature and the result they create (necessity of decision making under uncertainty) may lead one to think they are feminine. It is about control again Circumstances tend to control you. And you should deal with them as a man even if your a woman. Otherwise you will get screwed. A man and a woman get into lot of variations of circumstances if they choose to go together. And they come out of them with new collective experience, which escencially is an exchange of emotional resources on both sides. I don't know what is it that it creates yet but I am sure it is the right way to confront the circumstances because in that collectiveness they synthesize the masculinity that is needed. Don't view this as another attempt to tame your thoughts. You can only tame them yourself but that's very hard.
Anileve
We all know that we can be stupid at times, some more than others. Well in the library where I work I get all kinds of students with very interesting requests. My job is actually never dull. For instance my boss was telling us about a very interesting request she received from a certain student. He wanted to find a book on “How to be a pimp.” Yes ladies and gentlemen the age of noble occupations is over however, it has been replaced with creative ways to gain profit. One of my very interesting experiences was with a young woman who came up to me for help. “Do you have reading books here?” I was speechless for a good minute, wildly looking at her facial expression searching for a hint of humor in those unmindful eyes. I also had to look around to just make sure that I was actually IN THE LIBRARY. Well I was, and unmindfulness was not a cover but her permanent state. I wanted to respond with “ Hmmm…books? No we only sell jewelry here,” but I held my tongue. Today I was explaining to one woman that the reason she couldn’t find a certain Government Document is because we haven’t received it yet, despite the fact that the system shows we have it. She looked at me with those blank eyes (a look which has become too familiar if you interact with people often), and said “I know but no one wants to help me.” With that she departed, I shook my head. Later I was called by a librarian to help a student with a Government publication, it was the same woman who despite what I have told her was looking for a non-existent document, still holding her claim that no one wants to help. I wanted to look into her muddy eyes and ask, “How the heck do you want me to help you with a document which is not there, should I use my magic powers, say “Abracadabra” and produce the document?” Jeezzz, if it’s not there it is not there, start using that organ inside of your head, it has obviously grown a thick layer of mold. Your first insight into the nature of circumstances was definitely thought provoking, but as you have further elaborated, the theory became so overly complex that the meaning was lost somewhere. Circumstances are never of a particular condition, they vary depending on several factors. The reason why I even accepted the concept of gender variation was because some circumstances women are more often confronted with raher than men and visa versa, thus you can determine their gender orientation, nothing more. You on the other hand used this theory to once again highlight the overpowering nature of masculinity and went as far as to state that in order to provide a sound solution one must reason like a man, basically implying that female reasoning ability is not equipped to handle complications. Although I can be interpreting all of this wrongfully, frankly most of the ideas were not very coherent.

Anileve
What is the definition of a "real atheist"? Besides I'm a humanist and I do believe that love exists between two people (or at least I'm hoping since I haven't experienced it myself yet). style_images/master/snapback.png The last time I checked believing in God is not a prerequisite for believing in love. Feel free to consider them mutually exclusive if you wish. Personally I don't have a conventional image of God, but I do believe in energy and its magnitude. As for writing essays, no, I never had a problem writing those. That's probably my main and only strength, I am quite good at blowing smoke into teacher's eyes. Embellishments are there but substance is dribbling its feet waaaaaaaaaay behind. But the real Master of writing and essays on this forum is Stormi. Storms, have I ever expressed my immense admiration towards you?

Arvestaked
Having taken Latin for 4 years I would expect that it comes from a form of the Latin word for "number." If that form is similar, for example, to the Spanish word "numero," then it would follow. But why would you chose to abbreviate the form from another language and how often does that occur?
