you are right, its not random - but the USA has a lot to gain from someone like gamavor ( ). Here you have a highly qualified person, whose education was paid by another country, comes in, learns the language, starts paying taxes, spends hs earnings locally thereby creating even more jobs and hence more taxpayers - I know its a simplistic way of putting it, but people to country are like a resource, not unlike oil and gas etc. The more, the better, and the more educated even more better, escpessially if you dont have to pay for their education.

from my experience (son of a builder), that someone is wrong, as far as I have seen - nails and screws weaken the strength of any timber and increase the probability of it cracking.... Modern building codes (in Australia) specify that the attic must carry the load of person(s), but I dont know about 1900.

Sip dont act stupid, Im not a fan of the Euro luxos you have mentioned and I believe a stock WRX is not too much more expensive than a pick-up truck. True enough, the latter has more utility while a WRX granted is not for everyone but for people who actually ENJOY the driving experience. I got a ride in a mates brand new stock WRX last night (hadnt been in a Rex for years!!) and there seriously arnt many things more addictive than that 'turbo-rush' and the sound of the boxer-four.
