  1. How f###ing incompetent are the Russian special forces! I can understand the high casualty count, but how can they let anyone escape when they had two days to seel-off the area!?! And I dont think its the first time....
  2. LOL - not this thread again! Let it be known in all the lands: I now HAVE a girlfriend, and she is HOT. yeah, there is only so much family and friends can do for you to make up for being single, but sooner or later you start going nuts ( ) and thats when your IT career gets a boost as you spend more time getting to know your PC more intimately eventually becoming a Sip.
  3. No I wouldnt, remove the sactions and let them be: Castro is going to die soon anyway and the Cold War is over....
  4. eg. Cuba: on one hand they have cripling sanctions and on the other they grant asylum to any Cuban who is fortunate enough to land on their soil.
  5. ok, granted I wasnt alive 30-40 years ago so I might be wrong about the overall standard of living being the same, I also dont think it was as bad 'capitalist propaganda' had you believe then and now.....
  6. Why did you ask the question if you had allready made up your mind? <_<
  7. no, it is fact and you can include civil rights in there also considering what was happening with the blacks in the 60s...
  8. Those mo-fos! - I swear, they deserve all the shit Russia gives em. As for Turkey, they are doing a nice job of sucking-up at the moment.
  9. maybe your forgetting what prompted this second Chechen campaign. Four years after they had gained independence Chechnya was nothing more than a criminal state and then some of them decided to attack neighbouring Dagestan....As far as I am concerned the region would have been far more unstable with Chechnya being allowed to exist the way it was. Russia did us a favour, meanwhile the rebels are being armed by the US backed Saudis in a sort of mini-Afghanistan...
  10. Lets just hope it doesnt end in the same way as the NordOst theatre or the hospital that was taken some years ago.....for all we know there could be Armenians inside also
  11. I only know of one time: Ayn Jalut. And that was a small scouting Mongol army defeated by the Mamelukes who turned up in full force. The Mongols left because their Emperor had died and it was their usual succession problems back home.
  12. well, the historian may be accurate on other topics, but this doesnt make sense because his claim would be analogous to modern day Armenia dictating terms of a treaty with Russia
  13. ....from the above extract one gets the impression that it is the Armenians who are in a strong position to bargain, when in fact the opposite was more likely the case.
  14. yeah, I think its a sin you didnt point out how Rome met its end: amid much looting, murder, rape etc.
  15. ah yes - America: the beacon of freedom and liberty, but it puts the 'Evil Empire' (USSR) to shame....
  16. Yah man, didnt you hear - Im getting a sex change so I can participate in the Olympics and fly the Nike flag with pride.
  17. ooooooohhh, your breaking my heart.....
  18. yeah, well obviously if she is paranoid enough to order her bf to be by her side 24/7 - she might also think that her guy is sexing a girl outside while he is looking at her in the window
  19. has it crossed anyones mind, in that gevos story that it might be the girl that is overly controlling: by making sure her bf is always around he wont be speaking to other girls, is always there to listen to her garbage and support her and carry her bag, do her study work etc.
  20. ...I guess she qualifies as being a 'substantially intelligent' chimp.
  21. Volleyball ROCKS! Im gonna be playing for the local Armo club next season
  22. ....Im not really interested in the meaning of the word, I was merely pointing out that Im not a 'substantially intelligent' guy.
  23. wow, I think we have come to an agreement - two Armenians sharing ONE opinion, in other words: a monumental event!
  24. yes, pretty much agreed with everything you have written, but what I am trying to emphasise is that Gamavor is not indebted to the US, because the US was not doing him a favour when they let him in since they were getting something in return.
