I remember when a Turk was arrested in Armenia for accessing the Armenian archives I forget what happened, they were going to leave him in jail 'indef' but he was released. As far as I can see it Armenia doesn't want people accessing there archives, maybe they have a surprise in the future? Also I don't think the Ottoman Archives are reliable since the removal of information is present, they have done it as Taner Ackam said. Turks want us to debate with there archives and ours. Anyway it won't make a difference, those are Turks who are nationalist they know all these things but they deny it. They won't admit it.

Turkish Grey Wolves Hold Violent Rallies in Europe Demonstrations organized by the Grey Wolves, an extremist Turkish group, caused chaos and mass violent disturbances throughout the week in Brussels. The demonstrations were sparked by a violent rally in front of the American Embassy in response to U.S. opposition to the Turkish invasion of Northern Iraq as well as the adoption of the Armenian Genocide resolution on October 10 by the U.S. Congressional Committee on Foreign Affairs. The demonstration soon became a riot after the US flag was torn from where it hung and burned. During a violent attack on an Armenian owned cafe in Saint-Josse-ten, Noode Tuesday, Turkish extremists, armed with stones and bats, swarmed into the cafe and destroyed everything in sight. Twenty people, along with the owner of the cafe Bedig Bedrosian were inside during the assault. They were not injured. Mehmet Koksal, a young journalist of Turkish origin known for his revisionist opinions vis-?-vis Ankara was onsite filming the assault when a number of the Turkish demonstrators, recognizing him, immediately identified him as a traitor and an enemy that must be killed. The throng was also heard to be shouting that the owner of the cafe "is an Armenian, death to Armenians." The police were on the scene, however they did little to stop the violence. The European Armenian Federation strongly condemns the import into Europe of these racist and criminal customs, which bear a striking resemblance to the pogroms conducted by Turks in Istanbul prior to the systematic massacres of Armenian citizens. "We are expecting from the police and judicial authorities exemplary reaction regarding members of these criminal bands and their rulers," declared Laurent Leylekian, the director of the European Armenian Federation. "We know that Turkey is always behind these pogroms" added Laurent Leylekian. Turkish State bodies, including the police, army, and judiciary, are deeply infiltrated by these ultra nationalist units and it is attested that Ankara regularly gives orders to the Grey Wolves to carry out anti-Armenian activities within Turkey and Europe, he said.

ANI--During the 1980s and 1990s, when the whole site of Ani was under the full control of the Turkish Army, very little damage was done to the remains as a result of the activities of treasure hunters. This was in marked contrast to most other archaeological sites in Turkey. In 2004, as a result of a decision made by the Turkish Ministry of Defense, the responsibility for the day-to-day control of the Ani archaeological site was passed from the Turkish Army to the Turkish Ministry of Culture. The immediate effect of this was that it was now possible to travel to Ani without a permit, photography within the site was permitted, and only a token number of soldiers was designated to patrol the site. Part of the conditions set by the Turkish army before allowing this hand-over was that civilian guards had to be appointed to supervise the site and replace the duties previously performed by the soldiers. These guards are not actually employees of the Ministry of Culture because the task of guarding Ani was subcontracted to a Kars-based business. Yeah that is true, I am sure if something like this was true, there already would have been many scholars today bringing it up. Also many scholars or historians or researchers use ancient sources like Herodotus.

The body of an Armenian music student stabbed 18 times has been found on a street in southern Moscow, while two Vietnamese citizens have been hospitalized after an attack, family and officials said Tuesday. News of the attacks may fuel worries about an outbreak of xenophobic violence, coming after the murder of two dark-skinned people and the stabbing of two others. Ovanes Ayrumyan, 23, died immediately in the attack on Balaklavsky Prospekt in southern Moscow on Saturday, said his brother, Tigran Ayrumyan, who attended his funeral Tuesday. "We are all in shock," said Ayrumyan, 19, speaking from the family home, where their father, Grigor, was too distraught to speak. "You know, there are people of our nationality who behave badly and provoke people," said a family friend, who gave only her first name, Karina. "Ovanes was not one of them." A talented musician, Ovanes Ayrumyan toured the world playing lead violin with the Chamber Orchestra of the Svetlana Richter School of Arts, said Alla Gudush, the orchestra's director. "This was a happy person. He was a fantastic and unique guy. Everybody should strive to be like him," Gudush said. In another attack, two Vietnamese citizens, aged 28 and 30, were admitted to the hospital with knife wounds Tuesday, Interfax reported. No other details were available. Ayrumyan died the same day that dozens of drunken football fans aged 13 to 16 attacked three dark-skinned people while celebrating a Spartak Moscow victory on the street. They stabbed to death Sergei Nikolayev, a 46-year-old chess player and native of Buryatia, at around 5 p.m. on Ulitsa Arkhitektora Vlasova, and injured natives of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan on nearby streets. He had just left the Chertanovskaya metro station at about 7:30 p.m. when he was attacked.
