OK AllArmeniangirl..good points...but I still stand by my statement...and yeah - the baggy pants things and all that ...agreed...just another silly fad..they come and they go...perhaps you shold learn to appreciate those who refuse to get drawn in by or care about such things...as these people tend to more have minds of their own...and may be more likely to be interesting in general and over the long term...just a thought. And yeah - we are often forcedin wearing certain clothes - for survival as you say. Though I myself have made it a life long habit to buck these type of expectations..you couldn't even imgain the type of places I've worn my sandals too for instance...and its been a frequent issue with superiors throughout my career...an issue I've sometimes usedto turn the tables on them with (threatening discrimination & such...I mean show me the studies that proove performance suffers or what not..etc)..sure I can understand situations where "proper" dress might be requirred...but its way overdone...oh and I have also dined (and been thrown out of) many a fine restaurnt for not wearing shoes & such....(I would ..and at one point did) go barefoot all of the time..except in winter of course..even then...I still [often] wear my sandals...) LOL ..and don't get me started on ties....

Yes this is a point that I often try to make with young people - you grow and learn in any good relationship - this is so important. This is also why (one of the reasons why) it is a good idea to have experinced many relationships before just marrying and settleing down with the first person you meet..really...(and I mean relatioships - not just fligs or one nighters or such...) - and we shouldnt also forget that variety is the spice of life!!
-
Here here! Now thats some good advice!!!
-
I think most (young and perhaps otherwise) folks put a bit too much emphasis in clothes in general - but thats just me (and my personal philoshophy is mostly just to where as little as possible - LOL) . I think most folks overduw it quite a bit - with themselves and also with viewing others...based on appearences/expectations...as i flit along in all levels - from interacting with homeless folks to multi-milionaires and everyone in-between - I can say that it is pretty much impossible to judge character based on the clothing/look..and in the end we should all ask ourselves "what really matters?"
-
No Sip = not it at all - its just reality you know...but yeah - everyone has a different path to take..and me of all people am not one to assume or recommend the already beaten one...you should know that...still - what gevo has said has a bit of truth..and i cettainly think you are way to stand offish with the ladies for perhaps fears of yoru own making...
-
gevo....your perhaps not so clueless after all - eh - touche!
-
Yeah Sip sure...but yeah OK - actually not a bad post (this last one)..but I still will not waver from my position that gals are well...nothing better..what can I say...yeah at your age I was still enjoying the single life...but was certainly getting serious...and while I couldlive free and single...I must say I was always my happiest in a serious relationship....1 + 1 is more then 2 sometimes...and is certainy more then 1 ...you - and others - may not understand that yet - but it is so tue - at least it always has been for me....and Sip man...27...well yeah...thats getting there..pretty soon in those 30s and before you know it....my my...life does pass one quicly by...and sure - fun to be single and free..but I think you are overstressing the negative aspects of a significant other...find the right one and you don't have to cramp your style much at all..and find the right one and you don't at all mind crimping your style...really....you might be surprised/amazed sometime...anyway... hang in their SlowJam jan!
-
Yeah Slow...don't fret OK....I know its tough - and guys and relationships in general can be harsh..but your young really...believe me...you have time....just be yourself and it will work out...you will find someone where it majical and mutual...and when you do you will rally kno wit...so i know your upset...but really - think about it..he's not worth it...like Extra said - you'll find someone else...and he'll be better...in the meantime - you should hang with your galfriends and keep occupied...and try tp be relaxed and not uptight or upset..as best you can OK...
-
Well wolf - if you say you don't know - don't pretend to...I mean really now...
-
Yeah Sip, great...very sensitive and understanding of you...and do I detect more then a little self justification in your message? Aww Slowjam....I'm very sorry for you. Like Wolf said - did you guys talk it out at all? You never know...and you really need to think if he is worth it...how long had you been going together anyway? ...your young, abnd I know it mioght not seem like it now but you'll fiond someone else...you'll have plenty of oppurtunities to meet other guys...and think about it - you'll find a better guy...that really cares about you - OK?...and I'm not saying that he was too old for you - but that sometimes can be a factor...I'm sure you'll bounce back and meet someone else...you hang in there OK...
-
Nice and needle don't belong in the same sentence together..so...er..I'll pass on your offer...but perhaps we can work out some other (positive) means of motivation...
-
Well shows what (little) you know....
-
That shouldn't be too difficult no? BTW - I think we could all use a good spanking! ...yes we must be motivatewd to stay on topic!
-
Well gevo - i would suggest being more concerned with the quality of the information as opposed to the medium or slickenss of such...and in fact the first Gould post in quite good and recommended...thoguh soem of it is repeated in the latte rin parts (if not in toto...not sure...)
-
Well it is "unofficial" you realize...so are you sure? LOL
-
Well you could use them to hold loose change or something...dunnoh - I'm sure there is some use...and on a related note...are you really a guy gevo? LOL
-
Gevo - ever hear of proposition 13? Its no wonder that the education system in California is particularly bad off...

Can't you read mouse. That statement (of gamovor's) is entirely irrelevent. No one is claiming that Hitler is any kind of authority on the Genocide (I swear - exactly the same pointless "arguments" the Turks use...) But I should't count you to have any real understading of the point of this anyway (explained over previous posts)...it requires some feelings (empathy) as well as some smarts - that one cannot see the relevance - and that one cannot have empathy for the (very similar and tragic) plight of others..well it bespeaks an ugly racisim IMO ..or just plain ignorance. So whcih is it Mouse - perhaps a little of both. You don't care becuase they were Jews or just because they weren't Armenians - either way is sad - IMO. particualry because Armenians were very much the victims of racism (as were the Jews) - and there is a great many other similarities to their respective tragedies and histories (and I never said they were the same etc - so no need to go there). But is is far to simplistic (and just plain out incorrect) to say Armenains were simply the victims of barabaric nomads (how many years does one have to be sedentary to no longer be a nomad? ..or a "barbarian" necessarily), militant Islam (not true - Islam was only used as a tool to rile the masses and to emphasise differences..etc), and Pan- Turanism - (certainly a factor - but not the primary motivator - as the cards were already thrown - and again pan-Turanism was primarily a motivator and not at all deterministic). I would suggest reading Robert Melson's Genocide and Revoltion for addtional insights. I also wold consider the economic factors - certainy they played a great part (much as wioth the Jews in Erope during WW!!)...etc etc

Of interest perhaps... http://www.zoryaninstitute.org/Books/book_...nd_armenian.htm

I am so happy for you that you have your logical statements to comfot you and get you through the day...LOL
-
Yes in a sense - though perhaps overstarted a bit...but yes - if the Turks had been heavily & severly punished - such as by Sevres treaty...at least something befitting both their aggression in the war and their utter failure to take care of the welfare of their own people (our forebearers0...understatement..then maybe..just maybe - Hitler and his cromies would have thought twice about the excesses. Though like people who murder - it is often a rash act - and no one (or few) intend to get caught...still the point is that such a thing forgotten is easier to repeat...and the poin that Hitler was making - and had made before in earlier interviews - was that it was possible to displacew a people from their native lands (in the case of the quote he was actually refering to the Poles) - and do so with utter brutality...and with the passage of (not even very much) time - the deed would not even be remembered....this is the consitency of the quote from Hitler's perspective. And no one has ever claimed this to be any sort of proof of the genocide itself. It was gamavor who initially misconstrued the talk of proof in the thread from proof of the existance of the statement to it being some kind of proof of the Genocide itself (i can't see how anyone could make this leap - so i am mystified)...anyway...cheers!

Sorry we're not talking abut my libido now are we? (in the groove..in the mood that sort of thing...eh?) LOL Are you familiar with the sermon Brian gives in the (Monty Python) movie "The Life of Brian" - the one right after he shags Lilith... ...perhaps...my desire for such comes and goes...so don't know - have to see...i have not been feeling very positve about thsi forum of late...so its tough for me to build any true enthusiasm (except through negative energy...but keep posting because i do find your posts very stimulating..and I wish others - like Vayrii were still posting as well....)... And love the sig - regarding dear Azat - so true..I agree...me too (ie you could add me as well....) ...and I'm very proud of that fact...it means that I am a bit more demonstratably evolved IMO...LOL
-
den - do you have a calculation that tells you when to take out the trash?
-
Would love to Aniluv.....yeah if I am properly I don't know - perhaps its cafienated...or chewing on some particualry potent red Ginseng or Guarana...and am in the groove...what can I say...just watch the master at work eh? LOL But of late I must admit to only putting forward only a fraction of my energy/attention (towards this site...)...other matters concern me more...and I am finding the discussion and tone here much less interesting of late... And your very welcome of course...
-
Again you miss my point...and of course I'm being sarcastic about being Pro-Naxzi (but there certainly are enough Armenians who are..unfourtunatly)... And you have no knowledge of what work i may have done (or am doing ewtc0 on behalf of Genocide recognition - so please refreain from commenting on what you know nothing about. And yes - I feel - that as a victim of Genocide - that we should be very sympathetic to others who have suffered the same and be sensitive to any who attempt to deny such anywhere. And yes I find thst such is worth studying and understanding. I find it unfourtunate that you fail to grasp why...oh well...
