It's the opposite. If you still get the same problem in safe mode then most likely it's a hardware problem not software. If your mouse has USB connector and your computer has USB ports in front of the computer try to connect it there to see if that makes any difference. Also try to use USB to PS/2 adapter. Most USB mouse come with that adapter in the box.

Try to reboot into Safe mode and see if you get the same issue or not. If you don't then it's a software issue (corrupted driver files/settings) otherwise it's a hardware issue (faulting USB port, controller, etc). Try to change the USB port where you connect the mouse or switch from USB port into PS/2 port (the older format) to see if that makes any difference.

Whatever you choose to do make sure it can't be done from overseas.

You can boot from XP setup CD and choose the option to delete existing hard disk partition and create it again to wipe out vista from the drive. Another option is to boot from a foppy disk into MS-DOS and use fdisk to manually delete the partition and format the hard drive again to do clean XP install. You can make ms-dos bootable floppy disk by downloading the files from http://www.bootdisk.com/

How about taking out the hard drive and connecting it to another computer as a secondary disk to get access to the files you need? Once you have the files you can try to rerun the ultimate setup or format the drive and do clean install. Also, don't forget to install sp1 for Vista - I've had different problems with my nvidia cards until I applied sp1.

Johannes I have the task of making our forum script more Armenian friendly on my tasks llist for a while but haven't had a chance to work on it yet due to lack of free time. Once I make these changes I'll add Armenian to the list of available RSS feeds (the bottom left box you're referring to) as well. As for the problems with saving the theads on your local computer - I would recommend using Options -> Download this topic menu item located at the top right corner of every thread to download the entire thread (no matter how many pages it contians) in printer friendly, HTML or MS Word formats. Saving the pages one by one using Save menu item in your browser is too time consuming and will require you to save the pages under unique file names.
