Armenia switches to 11-year system of schooling
Pilafhead replied to glasnost71's topic in Republic of Armenia

My grandma always says, "I can't understand what they're saying." She doesn't understand the dialect on the Armenian channels and on top of that, she's hard of hearing.

Sounds like it doesn't matter what he sings! If he looked like Chuko would you still like him?

I've received handwritten letters like that at work. Anyone that falls for that deserves what they get. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Why expend so much energy trying to disprove/expose Christianity and Judaism??? Why not just ignore the religions? That's what I do. I've never understood those that make a religion out of being anti-religious. Is it strictly for this purpose? quote:I want to do the best I can to truly free the minds of humanity from the bondage of barbarism, to promote the independence of the individual, to do away with hatred, nationalism and patriotism, which are all products of savagery and religion. I want to wake up the minds of people and to show that the religious are depraved of freedom, freedom to think independently, that blindly following any creed or doctrine is destructive to human kind and a threat to the future of humanity. Sort of the Ayn Rand do-whatever-you-want philosophy? Or more of a love-your-brother utopian-type goal? [ July 30, 2001: Message edited by: Aghmug ]

quote:Originally posted by ChristianityExposed.Com: Marriage is outdated. Have sex with whomever you wish with anyone who you desire and he/she desires you...simply because you are horny... Relationships in the classical sense are absolete. With women becoming independent, men are only needed for sex and other physical exercises, as are women... Companionship is only needed on a temporary basis every day, and sex is the ONLY major reason people still seek "relationships." Let's face it, making promises to be faithful to one mate is unnatural, and barbaric. Marriage is a stupid sacrifice. If you love someone, you should encourage that he/she be free to explore and enjoy sex with whomever he/she wants. Love in itself is an antique form of emotion. Only weak people still "fall in love." What is love? A desire to get sexed, plain and simple, a feeling of a need to ensure sex availability. Relationships should be ONLY about sex and friendship with no strings attached. Don't you agree? While you may have some valid points here (and some invalid ones, too), you've ignored one key issue: raising children. How does that fit into your world? [ July 30, 2001: Message edited by: Aghmug ]

Welcome Hyebruin (although Hyetrojan would be more welcome here )! If you check the older threads, you'll see alot of talk about Tata. I think I started one at one time called "Tata vs. Tatoul". Mike

CDNOW has the DVD of it available. I think I'm going to check it out. I've loved that picture of the woman on the top-half of the cover for a long time. I never knew it came from a film. Mike

I'm sure I'll love it, but don't you think all the new songs have the same structure: slow part--fast part that goes rat-a-tat-a, rat-a-tat-a, rat-a-tat-a, etc.--slow part--fast part again. I noticed this last Nov at the Palace. The song about Coke was different, but all the rest were the same. I'm really looking forward to the new one (especially since Arto Tunciboyacian is on it!), but I hope the songs vary like the first one. I hope you're right!

Hi Kaz, I've been travelling alot this year. I think the second half I will be home alot more. Looking forward to blowing the dust off my oud and maybe getting a nice LOUD guitar to goof around on. Anyway, yeah, I've seen that Gorillaz video--pretty cool. I didn't know Daft Punk had a similar one. Do you like Basement Jaxx or Groove Armada? Similar groups. Mike
-
Kaz, What do you mean "animated pop group"??? Aren't Daft Punk just a pair of French guys who do retro electronic music? Mike

You can also listen to "Chop Suey" at their website. Both "Prison Song" & "Chop Suey" have been disappointing.
