    Money!

If you don't have a 401K at work already, look into an IRA. There are a few standard types, but I'm not sure of the difference.
  3. I agree and think STA is possibly the best of the bunch. For an album that was supposedly "throw-away" songs, I think it kicks ass.
  4. I'm a huge fan of both but found the CD unlistenable. When I first heard Arto was working with SOAD, I was totally excited but the music was disappointing. If you like Arto's work, search out his Onno album (released only in Greece).
  5. I can't wait for this movie!! I just bought Calendar on DVD--what a strange movie. 'Course compared to Paradjanov, Egoyan is Walt Disney!
  6. Hi Movses! I have a CD of his called "It's About Time". It's really good stuff.
  7. They can relax on the 8th after dinner and the dishes are done!
  8. Shnorhavor Nor Daree, The Kotayk Knights would like to inform you of a recent emergency council decision. At the meeting a resolution was passed unanimously to honor all the Kotaykers that are currently in the Los Angeles area who live in or attend school in other states. It has been determined that the first Kotayk Night of 2002 will be held this Friday (January 4) at 7PM at Hot Wings cafe on Brand Blvd (next to Carousel restaurant). Attendance is mandatory!!! 9. I'm going to try to get into a class this semester at Pasadena City College. Don't know if I'll be able to--it's full.
  10. A kiss from Sofiko for your b-day! http://www.brightlightsfilm.com/34/34_images/parad_pomeg.jpg
  11. Those guys are the greatest!!!! Btw wh00t, I'm the one over at the System board with the Paradjanov picture! [ December 12, 2001: Message edited by: Aghmug ]

    Yes/No

About a year ago, UCLA included Dikranagert in their symposiums on Armenian cities. I was so pissed that I missed it, but luckily a cousin of mine went and gave me copies of the handouts (and the name of who video taped it). Mike [ November 23, 2001: Message edited by: Aghmug ]
  14. Finally got the DVD of it. That has to be the strangest movie I have EVER seen (and I've seen some bizarre ones)!!! I liked it, just don't really understand it. Mike

    Yes/No

In my family's Dikranegertsi dialect, only "ha" and "che" are used. We never heard "ayo" or "voch".
  16. It took a few listens to get into it, but I think the new one is awesome.
  17. Two cannibals are sitting by a campfire eating dinner: Cannibal #1: I really hate my wife. Cannibal #2: Then just eat the noodles. [ November 08, 2001: Message edited by: Aghmug ]

  19. They're on tour right now, but you could try contacting their management company. Also, you may want to post something on the bulletin board on their website, but I don't think anyone in the band or management actually visits the board.

    Coffee

quote:Originally posted by Azat: Even though I do not eat it anymore because I was a bonehead and became a vegetarian 8-9 years ago. An Armenian vegetarian? Wouldn't you have an easier life being a gay sev? Why did you become a vegetarian: health or moral reasons? I actually think if you do it right, it's the way to go. Maybe someday I'll put my money where my mouth is.

  22. Harut, Depending on where it is, I'm sure you can go to an upcoming one. They're usually at restaurants (Movses may have told you this above). Movses, Azat, and I are going to try to go to one; you're welcome to come. It would be a great chance to finally meet some of you in person. Mike
  23. quote:Originally posted by MJ: Can we get back to good old days? The main reason I don't post anymore is because the discussions have pretty much gone over my head. A year ago there was more socializing going on. Not sure if the change is for the better or not. In any case, this being a public forum, it is what it is. It continues to evolve and that will not cease.
