It's good that Andre sings it in original Armenian. since both Turks of Turkey and Azerbaijan want to privatize this Armenian song. It has now no copyrights since its over 100 years old but the fight for its origin is still going as it is clear from those two comments that it happens I came across recently: Habib Merzabatli comments: " 'Sari Gelin' is an Azerbaijani folk song. This song has such a beautiful melody that many neighboring nations around Azerbaijan have always loved and listened to it for centuries, however this melody belongs to Azerbaijani people, and its original lyrics are in Azerbaijani language. Some 40 years ago, an Iranian musician put Farsi lyrics on "Sari Gelin" and the famous singer Vigen performed it beautifully. But this does not make it an Iranian melody. As examples of this kind, there are many Arabic songs which are borrowed with Iranians and Turks and others. They all use their own lyrics on those Arabic songs, but they never claim to own those melodies." As to Turks they claim it to be a Turkish folk song and not an Azebaijani one as claimed by Habib in his comment. While Ehsan Nishaburi comments: "I am Azeri from Azeri parents, grew up speaking Azeri and Persian together. Armenians have always been part of these regions and I will not accept any racist or nationalistic language against them, or anyone in the region and beyond for that matter. For my nationalistic Azeri brothers my suggestion would be reading on the origins of the name of our land Azerbaijan! It is of Persian origin. This music is magic, no matter where it is from specially when you see how it can connects us all, stop claiming it, share, love and flow..."

Malatia-Sepastia district of Yerevan where the Avedisian School is being constructed is the poorest district of Yerevan, its often called by the locals the "Bangladesh" not that because there are people from Bangladesh living there but because it is poor as the Bangladesh. Now the poor living there are having their 1st class school campus -the number one in Yerevan, truly the envy of the rich students of Yerevan The construction of the Avedisian Middle and High School and Bilezekian Elementary School campus in Malatia-Sepastia is proceeding according to schedule (something rare in Armenia where constructions are always behind schedules of their finish date). Phase 2 is almost over (construction work, external water supply and sanitation). Phase 3 is being worked on which includes the ventilation, water supply, drainage, power supply, technical building and internal and external works. The school will house over 700 students (all are welcome to apply) from Kindergarten through the 12th grade. The building is a first of kind being LEED-certified --Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-- and is on schedule to open in September of this year 2014, September is the month when schools all over Armenia are opened after the summer vacation. A Tree Grows in Malatia and a dream becomes real for the children of Yerevans' "Bangladesh".

This Armenian made 12 minutes documentary in Russian shows how the "Azeris" have looked to invent an ethnonym for the various ethnic peoples living in their area and that this fake invention will collapse soon (according to the late prophetess Vanga sometimes in 2023) like a house of cards since it was made on fragile ground and on lies and deceptions coming from Tartars and Turks. "Ethnonym" means an ethnic name ascribed to a people or group; the proper name by which a people or ethnic group is called or known. Azeri: an ethnic group living in Azerbaijan. Ethnic minority: a group that has different national or cultural traditions from the majority of the population. The ethnonym Afghan has been used in reference to Pashtuns for over a thousand years. The name Afghanistan (Afghan + -stan) is a derivation from the ethnonym Afghan, originally in the loose meaning "land of the Afghans" and referred to the Pashtun tribal areas south of the Hindu Kush. On December 25, 2013 in Stepanakert, the film "Azerbaijan in search of the ethnonym" in Russian language has premiered: On December 25, 2013 in Stepanakert, the film "Azerbaijan in search of the ethnonym" in Russian language has premiered. And in this short period (As of middle of January 2014, it had more than 50,000 hits on the one posted in YouTube) it had started to produce tectonic shifts in the consciousness of the citizens of Azerbaijan. Today a resident of Baku, as a matter of fact, does not know of what nationality he is. That is, at the level of their own understanding of the subject, he could decide on one but his own brother often do not agree with him. Often it turns out that children of the same parents can be individually a Muslim (and in Azerbaijan this is an ethnonym), Azerbaijani, Turkish-Azeri, Azeri, or simply just Turk. At the end of the film the prediction of Vanga on the collapse of Azerbaijan is given: in 1993, she prophesied that this fake nation will collapse in 30 years, that is in 2023. The fact of the matter is that Azerbaijan is already on the path of decay and disintegration. The more its population grows the more decayed they become until they collapse in 2023. The more the population of Armenia decreases the stronger Armenia becomes, as its said in Isaiah 54:2-3 "Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left, and your descendants will inherit the nations, and make the desolate cities inhabited." "The Holy Spirit showed me an allegory of a large plant in a small flower pot. This plant had outgrown the pot in which it was originally placed in. It was created to grow wide and high in stature but the size of the pot confined the plant and hindered it's growth. The roots then become what is called "root bound". Root bound is when the roots have grown too large for its container resulting in matting or tangling, and they become strangled and restrained. The plant could no longer hold any water and there is no room for soil. If it stayed in this pot long enough, eventually it would die. In order for this plant to grow to its full potential it would have to be uprooted and replanted. The Lord is showing me that some of you are restrained just as that plant is. Jesus wants to bring you to a broader place, but you must be set free from being root bound. "The Lord says; allow Me to uproot you from the confines and the restrictions that you are in, and replant you into the place where you will be free to flourish and grow. When you are replanted you will be able to recognize the freedom that I have for you, and you will then begin to walk in maturity. You will no longer be bound to religious traditions or enslaved by the doctrines of man. My plan is not only to set you free, and release you from all strongholds, but also to advance you to a higher place. Don't allow anything to restrain you from pursuing what I have qualified you to do. Refuse to allow anything to hinder your spiritual growth. I have created you to be a Sequoia tree, not a Bonsai tree but you are limiting yourself. Don't let spiritual stagnation keep you from moving ahead to the greater life. I desire to set you free with a purpose and a plan which is to use you to set other captives free. Allow Me to bring you into the place where you will be able to grow and prosper. As you do, you will be able to discern My ways. "My Kingdom is about expansion. It is time to break out of the old pot, and replant your life for root expansion, so that you will no longer be limited to the confines of the old system. Do not allow root rot to set in due to stagnation. This will only bring death to your vision. Don't allow people to restrain you to smallness, but it is time to branch out into all that you have been created for. Allow Me to bring you into the liberty that I have for you, so that you will be free to walk with Me in Spirit and in truth. Don't allow anything to hinder you or tie you down. Now is the time to release old mindsets of doubt and unbelief. In your decisions, always pursue wisdom and follow after peace so that you will not make foolish choices any longer. Your circumstances will no longer control you, and manipulation will no longer rule you. My word is life and it will keep you from decay. My word is truth and it will keep you from denial. My plan for you is not only for you to survive, but also to thrive in all that I have called you to do, to expand My Kingdom says the Lord."

"Gyumri base ensures the territorial integrity of Armenia" editor-in-chief 14. January. 2014 PRAVDA.Ru For whole article: http://english.pravda.ru/russia/kremlin/14-01-2014/126592-military_bases-0/ The United States has 500 military bases around the world, while Russia only has four plus two logistics points, editor in chief of Arsenal of the Fatherland Victor Murakhovski said in a live broadcast of Pravda.Ru. Even in this situation the United States strongly impedes recreation of Russian military bases, especially in Central Asia and in the Pacific Rim. "Currently Russia has military bases in Tajikistan, South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Armenia. There are logistics points in the port of Tartus in Syria and in the port of Cam Ranh Bay in Vietnam. Now a similar military facility in Belarus is being established. ------------ Victor Murakhovski explained that the cost of maintaining military bases is determined by bilateral agreements. "Russia bears most of the cost and undertakes the supply of arms and equipment, training of military personnel with respect to the host countries. As far as I know, we do not pay for maintenances of the bases like the Americans do, we barter." The expert does not think that the military base in Armenia may be shut down. "There is a motorized infantry brigade there, battalion S-300, and air squadron. This base ensures the territorial integrity of Armenia."

Georgi Minassyan, Haïg Sarikouyoumdjian, Gaguik Mouradian & Armen Badalyan with Hespèrion XXI of Jordi Savall This album is a tribute to Armenia and to the Armenian musicians who played alongside Jordi Savall and his wife Montserrat Figueras over the years. The repertoire consists alternately of very lively pieces and more contemplative ones, all of them beautifully played on traditional instruments, including the ‘duduk’, a flute with a deeply moving sound originating from a time before times. Jordi Savall unveils this music with his faultless musical flair and an endless curiosity, as testified in the lavishly documented and illustrated booklet. “This is a beguiling, mesmeric sequence of instrumental music from Armenia, in which Hesperion XXI are joined by a group of that country’s finest musicians...[The duduk's] beautiful, musky sound seductively reflects the predominantly nostalgic, lamenting, soulful mood of the pieces heard here.” “Haunting and tragic, this CD is a double-lament — for Jordi Savall’s late wife, the singer Montserrat Figueras, who loved Armenian music, and for Armenia, with its long history of foreign subjugation and massacre...It is hypnotic and exquisitely melancholic.”

Spirit of Armenia: Jordi Savall in Italy 2014 When Cilicia was an Armenian kingdom and Catalonia an independent state, those two small countries had extensive commercial relations. Now Catalan musician artists are reaching to Armenia and Armenians by Music, if not by commerce, and the population of Armenians living in Catalonia is increasing. We see Montserrat Caballe visiting Artsakh and expressing her love for that country; we see Jordi Savall (the great Catalonian gamba player) incorporating traditional Armenian musicians in his Hespèrion XXI orchestra/group. And in September 2012 Savall published his album"The Spirit of Armenia". Now in January 2014 Savall with his Hespèrion XXI and the Armenian musicians started giving concerts in Italy, the first in Jan. 14 in Rome, then in Naples. Armenian music can be lively, nostalgic, or spiritual but it is always engaging and exciting. It reflects the most sincere and profound spirit of a people from ancient history. Jordi Savall will guide you in a journey into a world of unknown and exciting music, accompanied by his group Hesperion XXI and renowned Armenian musicians. Enjoy a magical concert with the Early Music legend. Jordi Savall joins with a quartet of Armenian musicians to play melodies that are from the Armenian tradition but only in a few cases "traditional"; some have named composers from the 18th or 19th centuries, and many come from a large anthology of Armenian melodies that is itself an important part of the tradition. As usual with Savall, the 316-page booklet in seven languages (including Armenian) is a key part of the entire production; the multiple essays outline both the sources of the music and its relation to Armenia's long and tragic history. That history lends the music a distinctive melancholy tinge that will catch the ear even of those with no previous exposure; the reedy, voice-like duduk makes a fascinating counterpart to Savall's viols, and the whole takes on added significance as a memorial to Savall's longtime musical partner, Montserrat Figueras. As if in tribute to her, all the music is instrumental. Savall said in 2012 about his Armenian work: Armenia, one of the most ancient Eastern Christian civilizations, has miraculously survived a convulsive and peculiarly tragic history. Since its foundation, it has been surrounded politically and geographically by other great cultures with chiefly Eastern and Islamic beliefs, and has endured a cruel history punctuated by ruthless wars and massacres that have led to the disappearance of more than half its population, the exile of many others and the loss of major portions of its territory. Despite all this, throughout the centuries Armenia has preserved the essence of its national identity, first by the creation of its own alphabet (devised in 405 by the monk Mesrop Mashtots) and thanks to its rich architectural heritage, which is scattered beyond the country’s present-day borders. Although this tangible heritage is one of the most striking features of its nationhood, Armenia has also preserved a rich intangible heritage in the form of its music: a very rich and varied, albeit little known, repertory (except in the case of the duduk). In all highly developed cultures, music – represented and embodied by certain instruments, as well as particular ways of singing and playing – is the most faithful spiritual reflection of a people’s soul and history. Of all the instruments used in its ancient musical traditions, Armenia has given special pride of place to a unique instrument, the duduk. It is no exaggeration to say that this instrument is the utmost expression of Armenia. As soon as we hear the sound of these instruments – they are usually played as a duo – the almost vocal quality and sweetness of their vibrations transport us to an extraordinary elegiac and poetic universe, introducing us to a dimension that is both intimate and profound. The music acts as a genuine balm, at once sensual and spiritual, which touches the human soul and gently heals all its wounds and sorrows. Montserrat Figueras felt a deep affinity and enormous fascination for these Armenian instruments, especially the duduk and the kamancha, as well as a great admiration for the extraordinary musical qualities of our musician friends from Armenia. After her death (in 2011), I found great consolation in listening to these wonderful Laments for two duduks and kamancha, and that is why I asked our Armenian friends to take part in the farewell ceremonies that we held for our beloved Montserrat. Their musical performances filled the venues with otherworldly sounds of overwhelming beauty and spirituality. It was after moments of such great emotion, and prompted by the deeply consoling effects of their music, that I had the idea of dedicating this unique project to the memory of Montserrat Figueras, at the same time paying a personal homage to the Armenian people, who have suffered so much throughout their history (a suffering that has yet to be fully recognized) and who, in spite of so much pain, have inspired music that is so full of love and conveys such peace and harmony. It is also a sincere homage to the wonderful musicians who devote their lives to keeping the memory of this ancient culture alive. By a great stroke of luck, back in 2004 our very dear friend, the outstanding kamancha player Gaguik Mouradian, had given me several collections of Armenian music, including the fabulous “THESAURUS” of Armenian melodies, published at Yerevan in 1982 by the musicologist Nigoghos Tahmizian, in which I have found some extremely beautiful examples of this repertory. To these we have added the pieces for kamancha, as well as those for two duduks, suggested by our Armenian friends. Together with another extraordinary musician and very dear friend, the duduk player Haïg Sarikouyoumdjian, I spent several months studying and deciphering the secrets of these ancient and beautiful melodies, listening to old recordings and discovering the “hidden” keys to the style and character of each piece. Over the last several months, not a single night has passed without my spending a few precious hours studying and playing these powerfully seductive melodies. We finally managed to set aside the time to work on these pieces together, and between the end of March and the beginning of April, 2012, we gathered at the wonderful Collegiate Church of Cardona to record all the pieces we had selected to form part of this personal and collective tribute to the bewitching, elegiac Spirit of Armenia. Immediately afterwards, together with Lise Nazarian, another great Armenian friend, we set about researching and studying material to accompany the music in the CD booklet: books on Armenian art and history, of which we found an abundance thanks to Armen Samuelian et Alice Aslanian, the curators and driving force behind the amazing bookshop “Librairie Orientale” on rue Monsieur-Le-Prince in Paris, and also to the orientalist Jean-Pierre Mahé for his essential overview of the art and history of Armenia. Finally, we are grateful to Manuel Forcano for his texts on the Memory of the Genocide and the nation’s historical timeline: a history that we hope through our own modest contribution to keep alive through the emotion of the music featured in this recording. Without Emotion there is no Memory, without Memory there is no Justice, without Justice there is no Civilization and without Civilization human beings have no future. Highlights from his album is in this YouTube video: Listen in this link short sample of the 18 tracks: http://www.allmusic.com/album/esprit-darmenie-mw0002408246

Coptic Christian Children Kidnapped and Killed for CashJanuary 16, 2014 by Raymond Ibrahim http://www.frontpagemag.com/2014/raymond-ibrahim/coptic-christian-children-kidnapped-and-killed-for-cash/ Yet another Coptic Christian child was recently kidnapped in Egypt. Thirteen-year-old Cyril Rif‘at Fayiz was abducted in the Minya district by “unknown persons” who later called the child’s parents demanding one million Egyptian pounds, nearly the equivalent of $150,000 USD. This phenomenon—kidnapping and holding Coptic children captive for large ransoms—has become a regular feature of the Egyptian landscape, particularly in Minya, Upper Egypt. A few examples follow: August 2013: Copts held a funeral for Wahid Jacob, formerly a young church deacon. He too was kidnapped by “unknown persons” who demanded an exorbitant ransom from his family—1,200,000 Egyptian pounds (equivalent to $171,000 USD). Because his family could not raise the sum, he was executed—his body dumped in a field where it was later found. The priest who conducted his funeral service said that the youth’s body bore signs of severe torture.May 2013: After 6-year-old Cyril Joseph was kidnapped and the family paid ransom, he was still killed. In the words of the Arabic report, the boy’s “family is in tatters after paying 30,000 pounds to the abductor, who still killed the innocent child and threw his body in his sewer system, where the body, swollen and moldy, was exhumed.”April 2013: Ten-year-old Sameh George, another church deacon in Minya, was likewise abducted by “unknown persons” while on his way to church to participate in Holy Pascha prayers leading up to Orthodox Easter. His parents said that it was his custom to go to church and worship in the evening, but he failed to return and they received an anonymous phone call from his kidnappers informing them that they had the Christian child in their possession and would execute him unless they received 250,000 Egyptian pounds in ransom money.April, 2013: Another Coptic Christian boy, 12-year-old Abanoub Ashraf, was also kidnapped right in front of his church in Shubra al-Khayma district. His abductors, four men, put a knife to his throat, dragged him to their car, opened fire on the church, and then sped away. Later they called the boy’s family demanding a large amount of money to ransom child’s life.As for Coptic girls, they are even more vulnerable than Coptic boys and disappear with greater frequency. As an International Christian Concern report puts it, “hundreds of Christian girls … have been abducted, forced to convert to Islam, and forced into marriage in Egypt. These incidents are often accompanied by acts of violence, including rape, beatings, and other forms of physical and mental abuse.”

If you mean that clinics of abortions at the border between Armenia & Georgia will go in service when abortions are banned in one country....it is possible, but nevertheless the number of performed abortions will diminish and other alternative flourish like adoption, giving the child to adoption to a state institution or a private family or private care-taking house in Armenia --in place of killing the defenseless child inside the four corners of a womb. That child, female or male, has all the right to come out of the womb and be a part of humanity. When the church in Armenia starts speaking against and discouraging abortions many Armenian women will listen to the call of their church, and soon abortion will become a thing of the past. To stay silence in this case is tantamount to sinning. In the Bible we see Cain killing his brother Abel (Genesis 4:8) because sin was crouching at the door of his soul (Genesis 4:7), then the descendants of Cain were killers, in Genesis 4:23, we see one of Cain's descendent by the name of Lamech confessing "I have killed a man for wounding me; and a boy for striking me". If someone wounds you or strikes you, you either forgive him or you wound him back or strike him back, but never kill him...unless you are a descendant of Cain. After the death of Abel and expulsion of Cain, his murderer brother, Adam and Eve had relations and Eve gave birth to Seth (Enoch who walked with God and the famous Biblical Noah were descendants from Seth); Seth did not have the sin of murder/killing and we see in Genesis 4:25 that after the birth of Seth humans began to call upon the name of the Lord God; that is, they wanted to establish relationship with God. Therefore there is a sinful kind of men whose desire is in killing others, be those others children in the wombs or be they Turks doing genocides. The Armenian Church should make its stand clear as to which side they sympathize with. Silence is never an option here!

Will the Armenian pope ever condemn abortion, and the rights of children alive in wombs, in Armenia forcefully and publicly? Pope condemns the ‘horror’ of abortion and blames it on today’s ‘throwaway culture’ By Jill Reilly 14 January 2014 Pope Francis, whom conservatives in the Roman Catholic Church have accused of not speaking out forcefully enough against abortion, on Monday called the practice 'horrific'. The pope made his toughest remarks to date on abortion in his yearly address to diplomats accredited to the Vatican, a speech known as his 'State of the World' address. 'It is horrific even to think that there are children, victims of abortion, who will never see the light of day,' he said in a section of the speech about the rights of children around the world. The rewriting of history is both broad and detailed. The Russo-Japanese War, which the czar lost in 1905, is now interpreted as the first attempt at an "Orange Revolution," aimed at preventing Russia's ascension to the rank of world power. And the Brusilov Offensive in the summer of 1916, Russia's greatest feat in World War I in which they defeated the German and Austro-Hungarian armies in what is today's Ukraine, is seen as a turning point in the relationship between Russia and the Western Allies. The Americans and the British suddenly understood, according to this narrative: If Nicholas II is not gotten out of the way, the Russian empire will take down Germany, Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire on its own -- and then become world power number one. Part 2: The Resurrected Empire? http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/russia-revisits-its-role-in-world-war-i-a-942500-2.html January 13, 2014 The resurgence of World War I commemoration is nourished by that inferiority complex that has plagued the Russians for centuries -- particularly since the start of the Putin era. Russia is not taken seriously by the rest of the world, the Kremlin elite believe, despite their view of it as always having been a great power. That also applies to the period between 1914 and 1918. Russia occupied more than half of the enemy divisions for three years and held its ground, protecting Great Britain and France, the other two countries allied with Russia in the so-called Triple Entente, from certain collapse in the process, say historians. In the fight for common victory, Russia suffered more casualties than all of its allies put together, they argue. Yet Russia, under Communist rule after 1917, was not invited to the victors' feast in Versailles, but was -- like always, according to the narrative -- left in the cold: Only France, Great Britain and the United States profited from Allied victory. Winston Churchill once encapsulated the tragic trajectory of czarist Russia when he wrote: "Her ship went down in sight of port." The Russian view is that, prior to 1914, the country was not only large and rich, but also orderly, thanks to the czar, police and clergy. It had experienced an economic boom, delivered more than half of its exports to Germany and thus supported the German war industry -- facts that are part of the educational cannon in today's Russia. But this economic boom was not welcomed by Russia's foes, a group that not only includes Germany and its allies but also Russia's erstwhile partners, including the United States. The conclusion? All of them, whether Triple Entente or Central Powers, actually wanted to wipe Russia off the map. So was the czarist empire just an imperialist power like any other? Not in Putin's Russia. The czar is now described as having been "wise and great" and would have won, had the Revolution not gotten in the way. For the Kremlin, World War I is a welcome blueprint for the present. Are not Western governments just trying as always to keep Russia down? Is the West not complicit in the downfall of the Soviet Union? NATO pressing at Russia's borders, the West's offensive in regions of Russian influence like Georgia and Ukraine: These are all symptoms in the Russian mind of a persistent goal -- the division or liquidation of Russia. This is what Russians must brace against. A Metaphor for Putin It is striking how hard Moscow is currently trying, against this backdrop, to position itself as a major foreign policy player. When it comes to Syria, Iran and American whistleblower Edward Snowden, Moscow's role in the conflicts is sold to the Russian people as clever geopolitical maneuvering. In reality, the country has defined itself as being in opposition to the West since 1917. It is a poorly organized empire whose power now depends on oil prices remaining at over $100 a barrel. Nevertheless Putin acts at home as if the empire had been resurrected. "Forgive us, Sovereign," it reads on large panels that recently commemorated the 400th anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty. Back in 2008, there was a television broadcast of the film, "Nikolai II: The Stolen Triumph." It brings together leading politicians, clergymen and historians "to show a fair picture of the reign of Czar Nicholas, one of the most successful in our history." The czar can also be seen as a metaphor for the reigning leader of the Kremlin. Russian Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky has praised Putin as the "first ruler since Nicholas Romanov" who came to power legally. And Patriarch Kirill, the leader of the Orthodox Church, honored him in November for "preserving Russia as a great power." Guarding the Czar The rewriting of history is both broad and detailed. The view of today's ordinary Russian is that czarist Russia was a paradise of civic life and imperial power. Built 120 years ago, the newly renovated Moscow department store Gum on Red Square is infused with this feeling of imperial nostalgia, promoted in TV commercials referring to the good ol' days. And in April, President Putin bestowed the honorary title of "Preobrazhensky Regiment" on the elite Moscow unit responsible for protecting state guests and carrying out counter-terrorism operations. For 230 years, that was the name of the hard-nosed aristocratic regiment tasked with guarding the czar. ------------------------------------------------- Part 1: Russia Revisits Pivotal Role in World War I Why is it that Russia wiped out any memory of World War I for nearly 100 years? And why is the country only just now rediscovering the war? The Great Soviet Encyclopedia described the battle of nations between 1914 and 1918 as an "imperialist war between two coalitions of capitalist powers for a redivision of the already divided world." On both sides, it argued, the war was "aggressive and unjust" and led to an "aggravation of the class struggle and accelerated the ripening of the objective prerequisites for the Great October Socialist Revolution." The revolution, the encyclopedia argued, allowed Russia's "toiling people" to "throw off the oppression of the capitalists and landlords." The essential message was that it was Lenin's revolution and not the war that was the key event -- and this despite the fact that Russia lost nearly a quarter of its European territories in the war including Poland, the Baltic states, Ukraine and Finland. Even though it bred the revolution, the armed conflict was banished to the margins of Russian history books because it increased social and political tensions to the extent that the Bolsheviks, even though they were in the minority, were able to overthrow the imperialists. In Russia, World War I didn't create any heroes. Very little of it took place on Russian territory -- instead undulating back and forth between East Prussia and the Caucasus. And unlike the war against Hitler, the Russians didn't really have any idea what it was they were actually dying for in the war. Even when East Prussia fell to the Soviet Union in 1945, the very region where 160,000 Russians lost their lives at the start of World War I, Moscow had every trace of the mass graves there eradicated and simply ignored the war's history so as not to harm the myth of the revolution. Now, nearly a hundred years later, the story is changing. On Aug. 1, 2013, the Kremlin commemorated the outbreak of World War I for the first time and launched a competition to design a memorial that would honor the "15 million soldiers" who rose up in 1914 "to protect the homeland." The monument is to be unveiled on Aug. 1, 2014 at the memorial site on Poklonnaya Hill currently devoted solely to the war against Hitler.

I was expecting that the Armenian Apostolic Church would call for a ban of abortions in Armenia (if it did not done so already) but it looks the Georgian clergy have taken the lead. Many Georgians regard Armenians to be "cruel" selfish people with no regard to human rights --is this silence against abortion in Armenia proves the Georgian point regarding the Armenian character? Georgian Patriarch is saying that "a million abortions takes place annually in Georgia" which makes us believe that in Armenia at least half a million abortions are done annually according to unofficial data? So immigration would not explain completely why the population of Armenia is declining steadily. Speaking of Georgia, her hero Saakashvili is moving to USA to teach as professor/lecturer in a university; which means he would a few short steps away to be elected as secretary of nations united or as vice president of US in order to bring order to this teetering troubled world with an iron hand as he did in Georgia, a rose in one hand and an iron bar in another, eliminating corruption and swindling in that country and leading it to a new path toward the West. Georgian Patriarch stands for ban on abortion in countryTbilisi, Georgia, Jan. 7 By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend: Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II is standing for a ban on abortion in the country. This is stated in his Christmas message to believers. It was read out at night at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Tbilisi. "A million abortions take place annually in Georgia according to the unofficial data and no one can stop it," the message said. "Scientific progress today has created an ethical problem in the form of so-called 'test-tube babies'," the message said. "Surrogate mothers, cloning and in vitro fertilisation have appeared." "Among other things, the two camps [that of Erdogan and that of Gulen] are at odds over how to deal with the Kurds. Turkish intelligence chief Hakan Fidan led secret peace negotiations on the behalf of the prime minister with the Kurdish separatist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). Gülen, however, called on the Turkish military in a video message to attack Kurdish separatists: "Locate them, surround them, smash their units, let fire rain down on their houses, cover their wailing with still more cries of pain," he said.'" Year 2014 is crucial for Turkey, as Erdogan's term as prime minister expires and new parliamentary elections will be made. There is now ongoing war going between Erdogen and Gulen, how Armenia will be affected if Gulen movement wins and takes power in Turkey --I can not tell; but here is what Gulen, the cult leader, said about the Kurds: "Locate them, surround them, smash their units, let fire rain down on their houses, cover their wailing with still more cries of pain". A Brother's Vengeance: The Preacher Who Could Topple Erdogan By Maximilian Popp January 09, 2014 http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/turkey-erdogan-sees-power-threatened-by-muslim-cleric-guelen-a-942296.html Fethullah Gülen, who is believed to be 72, lives in exile in Pennsylvania. He fled Turkey in 1999 when the government, which was secular at the time, accused him of attempting to Islamize the country. His some 8 million supporters run schools, media companies, hospitals and an insurance company in 140 countries, including Germany. It is the "most powerful Islamist grouping" in Turkey, according to US State Department diplomatic cables made public by WikiLeaks in 2010. The network "controls major business, trade, and publishing activities, has deeply penetrated the political scene -- including AKP at high levels." Gülen got his start as an imam in Ederne and Izmir, and soon persuaded pious businessmen to make donations. With this he financed schools, and his supporters founded student housing known as "houses of light," which are a fundamental part of the organization. Keles lived in one of these facilities, which often offer free accommodation in exchange for loyalty. Dropouts say the tone inside is militaristic; residents study Gülen's writings and sermons under a provost's supervision. The community recruits new supporters in its schools and tutoring centers, training them as "soldiers of light." Their task, whether they become businessmen, politicians or judges, is to spread Gülen's vision of Islam. But despite the fact that it's a huge organization, the Gülen movement has no address and no headquarters. Fethullah Gülen alone determines its structure and path, while the cleric's trusted "brothers" are in charge of its most important businesses. Among these is Zaman, Turkey's highest-circulation newspaper, along with Bank Aysa, the country's largest. Infiltrating the Turkish Government More than two years ago, Gülen urged his followers to infiltrate the Turkish state in a sermon that was captured on video. "You have to penetrate the arteries of the system without being noticed," he said. You have to wait for the right moment, until you have seized the entire power of the state." Gülen says the video has been manipulated. When AKP assumed power in 2002, the prime minister saw an ally in the Gülen organizations. He promoted the movement by appointing members to important positions in law enforcement and the judiciary. Together, Erdogan and Gülen ousted the military, which until then had acted as guardian of the secular state. The five-year trial against the "Ergenekon" network, the most spectacular and controversial case in the Turkish judicial system's recent history, has led to the arrest of generals, but also hundreds of politicians, lawyers and journalists, for their involvement in an alleged coup attempt. Crimes could be proven for individual defendants. Often, however, the allegations turned out to be fabricated. Critics say that, with Erdogan's permission, the Gülen movement manipulated the trial to eliminate political rivals in the government and civil society. The prime minister's chief adviser admitted two weeks ago that forces within the judiciary conspired at the time against the military. The general staff now wants to bring the case back to court. A high-ranking former party member asserts that numerous state officials acted on the orders of the Gülen brothers: "They were our students. We trained them and supported them. When these grateful children take office, they continue to serve Gülen." Critical journalists were also persecuted. The reporter Nedim Sener, for instance, reported on the machinations of the Gülen community, as did his colleague Ahmet Sik. In March 2011, the two were arrested. They were not released until the following year. 'They Want Influence and Money' Sener says he doesn't doubt the seriousness of the corruption allegations -- but the motives of the investigators has to be questioned. These are hardly neutral jurists at work, but rather Gülen followers. "The community is not governed by rule of law and democracy," says Sener. "They want influence and money." Because it's not just about ideology; it's also about wealth. By opening schools abroad, the Gülen movement has developed new markets for Turkish businesses. The Calic Group, for instance, which is run by Erdogan's son-in-law, benefited from the group's connections to the former Turkmen dictator Saparmurat Niyazov. But the alliance between Erdogan and Gülen began to crumble after the parliamentary elections of 2011. Erdogan said he could no longer rely on the movement. Gülen followers, for their part, were disturbed by the prime minister's increasingly authoritarian governing style. "Erdogan became a burden for us," says Keles. Among other things, the two camps are at odds over how to deal with the Kurds. Turkish intelligence chief Hakan Fidan led secret peace negotiations on the behalf of the prime minister with the Kurdish separatist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). Gülen, however, called on the Turkish military in a video message to attack Kurdish separatists: "Locate them, surround them, smash their units, let fire rain down on their houses, cover their wailing with still more cries of pain," he said. The Conflict Escalates In February 2012 state prosecutors attempted to apprehend Erdogan's intelligence chief. The prime minister prevented Fidan's arrest -- and transferred police powers to intelligence. The media attacked Erdogan's actions with the same vehemence they once reserved for the opposition. In summer 2013 Gülen criticized Erdogan for his brutal handling of the Gezi protesters. But only after Erdogan threatened to close the tutoring centers did the conflict escalate. Lawmaker Sukur, a former soccer player and national hero, announced his resignation from the AKP: "As a supporter of the movement, I take the hostilities against Gülen personally," he said. Afterward, the daily newspaper Zaman called him a "hero with a lion's heart" and interpreted his resignation as a "final warning." The corruption scandal shook the country just a day later. The prime minister is still trying to dismiss the allegations as conspiracy, speaking of a "second war of independence." He announced he would take action against Gülen's supporters. More than 500 police officers have already been transferred. Erdogan is expected to present a list with the names of 2,000 more alleged Gülen followers within the state apparatus. Gülen supporter Keles says the movement is prepared to fight to the "bitter end." Ilhan Cihaner, the opposition politician and Gülen opponent, expects further revelations in the coming weeks. He says the group possesses enough compromising documents to topple Erdogan: "The conflict is far from over."

Putin Named International Person of Year by Times http://en.ria.ru/russia/20131230/186087917/Putin-Named-International-Person-of-Year-by-Times.html MOSCOW, December 30, 2013 (RIA Novosti) – Russian leader Vladimir Putin has been named International Person of the Year by Britain's The Times newspaper for succeeding in his ambition of bringing Moscow back to the international top table. The paper said Putin, 61, a judo black belt, has hip-flipped US President Barack Obama on the Syrian crisis, wrestled the EU to the ground on Ukraine, tripped up the opposition at home and rescued weaker team players such as President Assad of Syria and Edward Snowden, the NSA whistleblower, who was given asylum in Russia. Also this year, Putin, who served two four-year presidential terms and could run for president again in 2018 when his third term ends, became the world's most eligible bachelor, having divorced his wife Lyudmila after 30 years of marriage. Even a string of successive terror attacks in southern Russia in the last three days, just weeks before Russia is due to host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in February in Sochi, are unlikely to blight Putin’s reputation, The Times says. “The President is expected to use the bombing to rally Russian and international support around a pre-Sochi Winter Olympics crackdown on Islamic radicals in the region, especially in Dagestan,” the paper said. In October, Putin was named the Most Powerful Person on the Planet by Forbes magazine, knocking US President Obama off the number one spot. Forbes said Putin showed his dominance in diplomatic maneuvering during the international crisis over Syria. In 2007, Putin was named Person of the Year by the US Time magazine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An Armenian blog: Heralding the Rise of Russia http://theriseofrussia.blogspot.ca/2013/12/president-putins-visit-bolsters-armenia.html From this blog it is apparent that the opposition in Yerevan against Russian dominance has its anti-opposition showing its pro-Russia face

On the Day of Judgement, you will finally understand the Power of God Friday, December 20th, 2013 @ 23:16My dearly beloved daughter, it is by My Command that Satan and all his demons will relent. For all their power, they are nothing before Me, the Son of man, Jesus Christ. For all My Humility, My Sacrifices, My Pleas to the human race, to allow My Love to draw them to Me, My Divinity must never be underestimated. My Power must never be misunderstood, for I Am All-Powerful and My Kingdom will reign forever, with or without man, who has the free will and, therefore, the choice to follow Me or not. While humanity’s weakness, caused by sin, makes every person vulnerable to the temptation by Satan, you must never believe that he holds all power, for he does not. Every demon, including their master, the beast, will drop at My Feet, by My Command. Don’t you know that? For there is only One Who has the Divinity to quell all beneath His Feet and that is I, Jesus Christ. To attain the favour of God, each of you must come to Me. I love you. I draw you to Me. I plead with you. I humble Myself before you. I allowed Myself to be dragged along the ground, through the mud, for you, before I died. Soon you will face Me. On the Day of Judgement, you will finally understand the Power of God and then you will know what it is like to come face to face with My Divine Light. So Powerful is My Light that only the pure and humble will withstand it. It will force many of you to the ground, when you will shield your face from Me. Very few of you are fit to stand before Me, and yet I will pull you towards Me, until you stand there as you were meant to in full surrender and in total obedience to Me. On that Day your free will will come to an end. Your Jesus ------------------ At least there is someone in Yerevan in pro to this messages and she is posting them in her Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/anahit.mkhitaryan.50 https://www.facebook.com/groups/JtmArmenia

Some theology from Martin Luther-- "A smart Turk makes a better ruler than a dumb Christian" Martin Luther http://shoebat.com/2013/12/27/exposing-martin-luthers-love-affair-islam/ The linked article is written by Thomas King, it’s the result of research that Thomas King made In reference to Luther’s quote, actually the New Testament says the equivalent of “a dump Christian is better than a smart Turk in the sight of God” verses supporting it: “The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God” 1 Cor 3:19 1 Corinthian 1:27 “but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong” 1 Cor. 1:25 “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men” 1 Cor. 1:21 “For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn't know God, it was God's good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe” However on the contrary, in the sight of Satanism or Satanic philosophy, “a smart person is better than a dumb person” and this is a proving point that Martin Luther was not a real Christian, a real servant of Jesus, adhering to the Scripture, rather he was flaunting his own opinions & ideas and not taking his directions from God. Thomas King writes in his article: “Martin Luther, urged his followers to look at the Turks in the best manner and even went so far as to say that some of his German contemporaries (read traitors), “actually want the Turk to come and rule, because they think that our German people are wild and uncivilized – indeed that they are half-devil and half-man” (Found in The Ottoman Empire and early modern Europe, by Daniel Goffman, Cambridge University Press, 2002, p110).” This self-fulfilled prophecy will come true when Turks immigrants in Germany take upon them the role of the rulership over Germany and Germans in some 100 year in 2114. “What is most interesting about the whole matter is that Suleiman the Magnificent, the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire during Luther’s time, that he sent a letter to Luther’s followers in Flanders, Holland which stated that he felt akin to them since: ‘they did not worship idols, believed in one God and fought against the Pope and Emperor’ (Found in The Ottoman state and its place in world history by Kemal H. Karpat p.53).” “After the demise of Suleiman the Magnificent, Murad III, his successor wrote a letter to forge alliance with the Lutherans in both Flanders and Spain” (this letter is given in linked article of Thomas King). This letter is a typical Turkish deception ploy using flatteries to gain allies, as they needed allies in Europe in order to conquer Europe, so we see…. “It was also no accident that in the Battle of Lepanto in 1571 that amongst the Ottoman forces were to be found Lutheran and Calvinist allies from Holland and England. Treachery continues and in the Battle of Vienna in 1681, the leader of the Protestants in Hungary, Imre Thokoly in conjunction with the Ottoman forces was attacking Vienna” writes Thomas King. If the Turks had won then Europe would had become Muslim and the followers of Martin Luther would had to choose between converting to Islam or be slaughtered. Because the Turks killed and slaughtered all the Christians, including the followers of Martin Luther, in Turkey in 1915 (along with the Orthodox, Catholics and Evangelicals) unless they converted to Islam. They would not have hesitated to do the same to the Lutherans and Calvinists if they won over Europe, a victory the Turks hoped to materialize with the help of the followers of Luther and Calvin. Muslims Kill Christians, Bottle Their Blood, and Sell It For $100,000 A Piece To Saudis By Ted on December 26, 2013 By Theodore Shoebat A nun in Germany has recently done a presentation in a conference of an independent investigation she conducted of the treatment of Christians in Syria under the hands of Muslim fundamentalists. http://youtu.be/mCCl4ZLMV_8 Also there are reports in Nigeria, Africa, that Muslims are killing the Christians and drinking their blood. This drinking of blood was practiced in the Middle East even before the coming of Islam; even Jews were killing the non-Jews sometimes and drinking their blood. This is why when Jesus came He said "drink my blood and eat by body" Jesus wholly transmuted and transformed the cannibalistic concept in the Middle East by indicating that "drinking blood and eating human flesh" means: to learn and study His Words and Teachings, to be one with Him, and not actually engage in cannibalism as was the practice in the Middle East by Jews and by non-Jews. When Jesus was tortured and then crucified some looked for getting hold on few drops of His blood to drink it or mix it with their matzo floor...even though this is not mentioned in the gospels for modesty's sake. Christians are the only people now who do not drink or make use of the blood to wash their bodies or hands with…because they know Jesus meant to study, learn and do His Word, and when they do that they practice the communion ritual, they do the communion ritual "of drinking the wine and eating the bread" as a confirmation to be a follower of Jesus, keeping in learning His Word in the Bible and to remember Jesus Christ who died for them by shedding His blood as a price for their salvation from the realm of Satan and into the Kingdom of God ; there is no more need for Christians to kill a non-Christian to drink his blood and eat the flesh; as fanatic religious Muslims and Jews do now by drinking the blood and eating the flesh of Christians they kill. This is why religion is a very bad thing and the religious spirit, in most cases, is not from God. Drinking gallons of blood and eating tons of human flesh will not change a man’s heart an iota or bring upon him the favor of God; since as Jesus said in Mark 7:18-23 “whatever goes into the man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated?...That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and errors. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.” Only Jesus the Messiah, the only Savior of mankind, is able to change the heart of man by His touch and His Word and make him worthy for God; drinking or washing with human blood and eating human flesh will not accomplish it, rather will make matters worse as God strictly forbids drinking human blood or eating dried blood mixed with floor to make blood-flavored cookies.
