Saakasvili To Face Criminal Charges after being kicked out of politic while Turkey & Azerbaijan are in tears of lamentations Georgia's prime minister, Bidzina Ivanishvili, who is also Georgia's richest man, has dismissed the outgoing president's achievements, calling Mr Saakashvili a "liar" and a "dictator". Mr Ivanishvili [son of Ivan] has not yet named his party's successor as prime minister, the one who will replace him according to his wishes although he is free to stay in power. However he has indicated that Saakashvili could face questioning or even prosecution over the alleged crimes of his government after his term ends. Among those crimes of Saakasvili and his his United National Movement Party, are the ones committed against the Armenian Georgian citizens of Javakhk and their Armenian leaders who were arrested on false charges and in particular the freedoms of assembly and expression was forbidden to Armenians of Javakhk. It's mentioned that most-likely Saakashvili is of Armenian decent; Saak-ashvili, which means son of Saako, and of Saakahvili himself mentioning sometimes that he has Armenian roots, but he hated the Armenians and the Russians and loved and slept in bed with Turkey and Azerbaijan. Such traitors of Armenia, and such Armenian locos are not few in the Armenian history. In addition Saakasvili endorsed the destruction of Armenian churches in Georgia and giving some of them to the Georgian Orthodox churches and for this he could moreover face thief, vandalism and robbery charges. Saakashvili also refused to acknowledge the rights of ethnic Armenian minorities in Georgia while he gave broad rights to Turkish and Azerbaijani minorities in Georgia, even planning to populate the Javakh regions by Turks brought from outside Georgia. On Oct. 21, during a campaign stop in Akhalkalak, on the eve of presidential elections in Georgia, and while escorting his Georgia Dream party candidate Giorgi Margvelashvili [Now the new president of Georgia] Prime Minister Ivanishvili said in Russian to Armenian Javakhk Voters: "He [Margvelashvili] loves you and will work on your behalf. He will try to lighten your load” [the load that Saakashvili put on them]. We hope so and we hope the nightmares of the people of Javakhk are over now after the demise and persecution and imprisonment of Saakshvili in many criminal charges, like it happened to Yulia Tymoshenko of Ukraine, as a lesson to all future Georgian politicians and as a guarantee that genuine reforms and real democracy in Georgia will be established.

Saakashvili era ends as Georgia elects new president Published time: October 27, 2013 http://rt.com/news/georgia-presidential-election-saakashvili-806/ After a decade of controversial rule, Mikhail Saakashvili is set to step down after Georgians elect their new president Sunday. Once a popular and powerful head of state, he steps down from a post that has been largely reduced to ceremonial functions. Some 3.5 million Georgians are eligible to vote in Sunday’s poll, with more than 50 percent of votes needed to win in the first round of voting. There is no minimum turnout requirement, and if a second round of voting is needed, it would be held within two weeks. The new Georgian president will be a ceremonial figure thanks to a number of constitutional amendments adopted in the past year by the country’s parliament. The reforms have been pushed through by Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili’s Georgian Dream coalition, which beat President Saakashvili’s United National Movement in parliamentary elections last year. Prior to Sunday’s election, opinion polls put Georgy Margvelashvili, a candidate endorsed by Ivanishvili, ahead of the other 22 candidates, including Saakashvili’s preferred candidate, former parliamentary speaker David Bakradze. Saakashvili himself is barred from running after two terms in office. Ivanishvili, who is Georgia’s wealthiest man, took to politics with the goal to oust Saakashvili and his followers from power. Before his party took control of parliament, he pledged to step down as soon as Georgia elected a new president. Now he says he intends to keep his promise, even though the office of prime minister currently holds much more power in the country. Saakashvili became Georgia’s leader after ousting his predecessor, Eduard Shevarnadze, in the 2003 public uprising dubbed the Rose Revolution. Once in power, he took a strong pro-American stance, hiring a number of western advisers to help his ambitious reforms, sending Georgian troops to Iraq and Afghanistan to join the US- and NATO-led forces, and campaigned for Georgia’s accession to NATO. He enjoyed notable successes in reducing official corruption, cracked down on powerful crime rings and gave a boost to the country’s economy with a combination of liberal reforms and foreign loans. The policies won Saakashvili widespread praise in the West as an example of success and a beacon of democracy in the post-Soviet space. At the same time, Tbilisi’s relations with Moscow deteriorated dramatically under Saakashvili, as Georgia accused Russia of betraying its role as peacekeeper in South Ossetia and Abkhazia. The two regions were parts of Soviet Georgia, but sought independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Both fought against Georgia in bloody armed conflicts, and Russia kept its troops in both enclaves to prevent further violence. Tbilisi said that Moscow was secretly supporting and encouraging the secessionists while opposing Georgia’s attempts to bring them back under control. Moscow too voiced anger at Georgia, saying it turns a blind eye on militants fighting in Russia’s troubled south, who found shelter in Georgian territory. The confrontation reached its peak in 2008, when Saakashvili’s government sent its army to take control of South Ossetia. Angered by the invasion, Russia intervened, defeating Georgian the army and prompting a major diplomatic crisis with western countries. After the war, relations between Georgia and Russia were frozen for years. The disastrous military campaign seriously weakened Saakashvili’s support at home. However it was his increasingly authoritarian policies that led his party to defeat in the 2012 parliamentary election. His government launched brutal police crackdowns on opposition rallies in 2007, and again in 2011. Critics blamed his party of extorting bribes from big businesses, undermining the independence of the courts and the media and even accused them of political assassinations. The final straw was the release prior to the election of video footage from a Georgian prison, which showed inmates beaten and tortured by guards. After the new parliament backed an Ivanishvili-led cabinet, Saakashvili’s supporters found themselves in rough water. Several former top officials, including ex-Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili, were arrested, while others fled the country. Saakashvili enjoyed presidential immunity from prosecution while in office, but the new government has threatened to take him to court after his term in office ends on several occasions. Over the past year, Saakashvili’s role in Georgian politics shrank. Among his most recent actions, he delivered an anti-Russian speech at the UN General Assembly, campaigned unsuccessfully for Georgia to boycott the 2014 Sochi Olympics and made a posthumous award of Hero of Georgia to independent Georgia’s first president, Soviet dissident-turned-nationalist Zviad Gamsakhurdia, who died in 1993. Saakashvili has said that after leaving office he plans to retire from politics, live in Georgia and start a wine business. --------------------- In this 2008 photo, when Putin was about to hang Saakashvili from his balls, Saakashvili send a distress signal to his masonic party of the West by eating his tie (the sign agreed upon was to rub his tie with his hand, not to eat it, but Saakashvili in order to show how bad in a situation he is in, started eating his tie. Soon after the acting president of EU parliament and at that of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, was send to Kremlin to save Saakashvili's skin and balls. http://rt.com/files/news/20/e9/60/00/screen_shot_2013-10-27_at_15.17.16.jpg Anti-Saakashvili Candidate Claims Victory in Georgia Vote http://en.ria.ru/world/20131027/184381244/Anti-Saakashvili-Candidate-Claims-Victory-in-Georgia-Vote.html TBILISI/MOSCOW, October 27 (RIA Novosti) – An opponent of outgoing president Mikheil Saakashvili has claimed victory in Georgian presidential elections Sunday just hours after voting stations closed in the former Soviet nation on Russia’s southern border. Initial exit polls gave Giorgi Margvelashvili, from the anti-Saakashvili Georgian Dream party [founded by currant PM of Georgia], about 65 percent of the vote in an election that marks the end of Saakashvili’s decade in power. “I want to thank everyone who supported me,” Margvelashvili said outside his party headquarters in Tbilisi on Sunday evening where his supporters had already taken to the streets to celebrate his win. “Thanks to the Prime Minister who facilitated today’s victory.” Margvelashvili is a close ally of Georgian Prime Minister and billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, who crushed Saakashvili’s United National Movement in parliamentary polls in 2012. Twenty three candidates took part in the elections in the South Caucasus nation, but the size of the prize was markedly reduced earlier this year after laws were passed diluting presidential powers. Margvelashvili’s main rival, Davit Bakradze of Saakashvili's United National Movement, said shortly after the end of voting that exit polls - which gave him about 20 percent of the vote - provided a “clear picture” that was unlikely to differ from the official results. About 3.5 million people were registered to vote in the Georgian election, and turnout was 46.6 percent, according to the country’s election commission. Outgoing Georgian President Saakashvili told journalists earlier on Sunday that he was looking forward to having time to relax after leaving office. Saakashvili, a Columbia Law School graduate, enjoyed broad public support early in his presidency after successful insitutional reforms, but saw his approval ratings drop precipitiously towards the end of his second term, not least because of a disastrous war with Russia in 2008. Ivanishvili, a secretive tycoon whose fortune Forbes magazine puts at $.5.5 billion, has been Prime Minister since last October. He has said he will quit politics after the presidential vote, but has yet to name a successor.

On Oct. 26, 2013 Borussia Dortmund avenged German two recent derby defeats with a 3-1 win over local British Schalke. Mkhitaryan did not score but made two assist passes that resulted in 2 goals in favor of Borussia Dortmund. The first pass was to Sehin. For the second pass Mkhitaryan had to make a very spectacular run from one side of the the field to the other; in the video at the link his run for the third goal starts at 2.39 minutes: http://www.footytube.com/video/schalke-04-vs-borussia-dortmund-1-3-all-goals-238188?ref=wv_relbox

The plans have been drawn up by the unholy trinity where all that is True will be banishedTuesday, October 15th, 2013My dearly beloved daughter, it is My desire that all of My priests, in every Christian denomination, begin to preserve the Most Holy Sacraments. Those in the Catholic Church will be the first to witness the destruction and desecration of the Sacraments. Those who are loyal to Me, Jesus Christ, will prepare diligently for this terrible wilderness into which My Church will be plunged. You must prepare now, because it will be through your allegiance that all of God’s children will be able to receive the Sacraments in their holy state. To all other Christian churches I say this. Remind yourselves of My Promise to come again on the Great and Glorious Day of My Second Coming. Know too, that in the years leading up to this, that all those who follow Me will face terrible trials. Those who will succeed to new positions of power, within all your denominations, will be led by the false prophet and all will mouth his words and copy his actions. Woe to those who side with the false prophet for he is the antithesis of John the Baptist and will be the precursor of the antichrist who will rule over all of you. You will be protected by Me, for soon I will be all you have to guide you. Only I can be trusted to tell you the Truth when you will be swayed by the heresies, which will be presented to you as the new form of modern Christian theology. How cunning is Satan, for he will never shock – instead he will, through those who serve him – draw you towards a new twisted, back-to-front interpretation of My Most Holy Word. The plans have been drawn up, by the unholy trinity, where all that is True will be banished. All that appeals to the secular world, when human greed and desire to ignore sin, will be presented through all Christian Churches to the faithful. This day has been written in stone and will be the final insult, allowed by God, before He sends Me, His only Son, to gather all those who remain true to the Word of God. When the lies are presented to you, they will appear to be a good thing. The badge of humility will be common in all of your churches, as it will be adopted by those among them who will deceive you. Every trait, associated with Me – My Love for the impoverished; My Love for the weak and humble; My disapproval of greed, avarice and lust, will be used as part of the arguments used to force you to accept this new doctrine – this new one world religion, to prepare the world for the rule of the antichrist. As a loving God, you are being given these warnings in order to save you. Heed Me now. All I ask is one thing. Remain true to My Holy Word. My Holy Word was given to you, in the Holy Bible. It can never change. But the enemies of God will twist its meanings. When this happens, reject those who tell you that God would approve of such changes. Nothing could be further from the Truth. Your Jesus

ARMENIAN AUTHORITIES TO TIGHTEN GRIP UPON USAGE OF GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS YEREVAN, October 25. /ARKA/. A bill implying a stronger control over GMO usage was put on the Armenian National Assembly's floor on Friday again. Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan, presenting the bill to lawmakers, stressed its importance saying that certain mechanisms are needed for keeping GMO usage under control. "Any genetically modified organism may be harmful to human health and life, and therefore we must regulate this matter - the bill is aimed at this," he said. "The ministry wants to put together opinions and experience of respected international laboratories, but their work is not satisfactory now." The minister said people have a right to know what products they consumed. He said to put things right it is necessary to improve laws. Harutyunyan called on MPs to voice their proposals. Artashes Ziroyan, chief of the nature protection ministry's division in charge of management of bio resources, on his side, said that the bill proposes mechanisms which will leave no room for adverseimpacts of GMOs on environment, bio diversity and human health or will lessen them. He stressed that many experts had been involved in development of this bill . The bill was passed by the National Assembly at the first reading on October 21.

TURKEY IS INTERESTED IN CUSTOMS UNION - NAZARBAYEV Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said some countries are interested in joining the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union, which is now being created. "They say Syria wants to join [the Customs Union]. Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan has asked me if turkey can enter the Customs Union," Nazarbayev said at the meeting of the Eurasian Economic Council held in Minsk on Thursday. (Interfax, Russia. Oct 24 2013. MINSK) The problem with Turkey is: Turkey will join the Customs Union when Russia joins NATO or more likely when Turkey leaves NATO....and second Turkey has closed it borders with Armenia. Reflecting on the proposal to include Turkey in the CU, Russian political analyst Sergey Markedonov, said: "That is ruled out, and that's that!" He added: "Turkey is a NATO member, and this already is a weighty argument. How do you imagine Turkey's and Armenia's joint accession to the Customs Union, when Turkey closed its borders with Armenia?" Another benefit to Armenia: Russia is the largest producer of diamonds and gold, as CU member Armenia will be able to get cheaper uncut diamonds. Russia is one of the largest jewelry markets, and jewelers from around the world, including Armenia are seeking to enter this market.

Armenianization. Let the process begin Oct. 26, 2013 More details: http://news.am/eng/news/177782.html Armenian News-NEWS.am launches a new project – Arianne & Armenia. Arianne is the chess player of Philippine descent known to Armenians as the girlfriend of Armenian Grandmaster Levon Aronian. Martin Luther King once said, that “if a man has not found something he will die for, he is not fit to live”. There is a unique pulse to be detected in Armenia: and it’s a very strong one. It is a passion for a higher cause, a bigger purpose that infiltrates society from the very top to the very bottom. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I certainly want to catch whatever it is Armenians have. When in Yerevan I feel that people hold a hope for something that Armenia could be; it is this hope that gives their living a sense of purpose. I recently saw Djivan Gasparyan live in concert, and it is hard for me to recall anything that powerful (although, being present at the raising of the Armenian flag in Istanbul at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Chess Olympics where the Armenian team reigned victorious was quite extraordinary, and I am tempted to say, would reduce most Armenians to tears). One only needs to hear a few notes from a duduk to feel a tremendous sense of mandate to bring into fruition the hope stamped on the heart of most Armenians. Living in a city like Yerevan that is constantly alive is exhilarating, especially at night. But it’s not only for the parties or the usual ‘city-living’ attractions, where one works to the end of themselves to enjoy but a few sprinklings of enjoyment, usually crammed into a single Saturday and accompanied by over-priced cocktails, artificial conversations and a hovering cloud of stress (Sydney and New York do that very well). Nor is it for the relaxed, beach lifestyle common to Queensland, where I spent some of my childhood years. Queensland boasts lazy days of sunshine and sea, with tanned, tattoo-clad beach bodies parading around, smiling a tad too much because life is so great. No, people in Armenia have a certain element of rage pulsating through them – hoping for the future and driven by its past. It is energetic and motivating, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. To my conscious knowledge, my very first encounter with anything Armenian was way back in 2000 – when I was grass-hopper height and representing the Philippines for the first board and playing against Armenia’s Lilit Mkrtchyan in the Chess Olympics in Turkey. The game ended in a draw: not so bad for the pint-sized ankle-biter that I was, but probably not the most desired result for the great and powerful Armenian chess team! And of course, I encountered Armenia academically (with immense pleasure) in the works of historians such as Ronald GrigorSuny, David Marshall Lang and George Bournoutian. I first visited Yerevan in the spring of 2007, when Levon won his match against Vladimir Kramnik at the Opera House. Above all, I remember the toasts: passionate, lengthy toasts that ranged from the simplest of well-wishes to friends and parents, to rejoicing in the future of Armenia itself. My early Armenian toasting experiences have made all non-Armenian celebrations after them seem lacking for spirit and charm. First impressions of Armenia conjure up images of a dismembered human body. Its very heart is dispersed around the globe – pumping blood (and money) into the homeland with terrific force, and Yerevan is its brain – steering the country economically and politically. Armenia’s veins have been spawned by its great artistic and intellectual giants, carrying its historical narratives, which are the beautiful and tragic instruments used to transmit the essence of its energy and hope. But Armenia’s soul – that can be found around the country side, in long forgotten villages well outside of Yerevan, in the cuisine and nature of regions too often ignored by tourists. My first experience of Armenia’s country side was traveling in a broken down 1981 Volga, with a hint of Khachaturian’s glorious Masquerade Waltz wafting through the air, interrupted by sporadic jolts as my driver friend stopped to avoid groups of slothful cows becoming the village’s next feast. I have been in and out of the country for 7 years: celebrating the Armenian National Chess Team’s multiple gold medals, writing a thesis on post-Soviet Armenia’s economic relationship with Russia, and eating my fair share of khorovatz and rak (undoubtedly several kilos worth!). I’ve even gone a little deeper: I took tae-kwondo lessons at some gym in Charbakh with a class of Armenian teenagers, drank tan with hovivs in remote villages, and heard enough rabiz classics to finish the lyrics of most songs after a few notes. In a recent wedding, a close friend of Levon’s asked, “how can she not be Armenian when she can dance to rabiz like that?” More details: http://news.am/eng/news/177782.html

Turkey and India (a major world economy) would consider signing a free trade agreement with the Euroasian Custom Union of Putin in the near future. This means that, Armenia as a member of CU, will have opportunities of a wider range to trade and prosper. Moreover Turkey plans to create a free trade zone with Ukraine and expand relations with the other states of Eurasia by signing a free trade agreement with CU of Putin. There would be obstacles before Turkey but they will dissipate in the long term and Turkey's chances of joining may become reality sometimes in the future. Turkey currently gets up to 60 per cent of its gas from Russia, joining CU means cheaper gas for Turkey. In April of this year Turkey received the status of partner in dialogue with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization; a status of partnership in cooperation with CU could be the next logical step for Turkey. From another news release: Russia sees no problem regarding Nagornyy Karabakh when Armenia's joining the Customs Union is completed in 2015. Andrey Ivanov, Russian Embassy's counsellor in Armenia, said at today's, 24 Oct. 2013, press-conference: "I arrived in Yerevan several months ago and first met with my counterparts from the EU, which asked me what I think about opening of the Customs point at the border of Armenia to Nagornyy Karabakh after Armenia's joining the Customs Union. And asked them, how the EU was going to settle this problem when signing the Association Agreement and DCFTA with Armenia. They replied, that the EU sees no problem in this issue, and I said that Russia sees no problem either".

Haghartsin and Goshavanq monasteries are well known in Armenia and they are in all tour travels bundled together with the town of Dilijan sometime referred to as the Swiss-town of Armenia because of resemblance of its scenery to that of Switzerland. Haghatsin is located very close to Dilijan but Goshavanq and the Gosh village is some 22 kilometers away from Dilijan. A tour guide will most-likely leave you only one hour to explore Goshavanq then puts you fast into the tour vehicle for going back to Yerevan by Dilijan and by the route close to lake Sevan. Fortunately for those wishing to further explore the Gosh region there is currently the Mkhitar Gosh Guesthouse in the village of Gosh; this 3-stored Guesthouse has been functioning from 2010. It offers Standard Double, Deluxe and Family rooms. Each room has TV set with local and satellite channels, coffee table, wardrobe, and other necessary facilities. In the restaurant one can taste the variety of dishes of both traditional Armenian and other cuisine. http://www.armhotels.am/EN/Hotels/Details/mkhitar_gosh_guesthouse__149 http://www.armhotels.am/AppData/Hotels/149/00006.n.jpg People come here for hiking in the beautiful serene forests and walking to the lake Gosh that is 2.5 km far from the village. (it's said that the location of Goshvanq monastery used to be during the pagan times of Armenia a famous pagan temple that was replaced by a Christian church, its location is super among the forests and highland.) This region is uplifting and inspiring spiritually and for meditating about God. http://www.armhotels.am/AppData/Hotels/149/00013.n.jpg Vasken Brudian, wrote in "hedq.am" on Oct. 24, 2013 http://hetq.am/eng/news/30241/an-uncommon-beauty-hiking-around-gosh-lake-armenia.html (photos in link) A place where the Gods reside? Or is this the heaven we have been searching for? At least that is the sense one gets when in the presence of this extraordinary and strange beauty. I say strange because in my own life at least, I have rarely been confronted with so much alluring beauty, calmness, tranquility, and a seductive manifestation of nature’s splendor. Lake Gosh is located in the Tavoush region of Armenia, near the villages of Ganja and Gosh. Our hike started from Goshavank, and from there, a muddy, steep climb to an altitude of approximately 1550 meters (5000 feet). It is roughly one and a half hours to two hours to reach this point. But once you get here, you realize that a “heaven-like" place like this should not be an easy stroll.

At the end Turkey will never sign the air defense deal with China; it's all a ploy that the Turks are famous of when bargaining bazaar style whatever they do when buying something. In Istanbul if you are going to buy something from a shop you can lower the price to that half asked by the Turkish seller. What the Turks are trying to achieve now is a bargain deal from France-Italy or US to lower the prices of their own air defenses for Turkey; it's all a Turkish ploy to make the West lower their prices. Currently the price China offered to Turkey is one billion $ cheaper than that of the West, plus the Chinese promised to build free of charge a new technology park close to an Istanbul airport with the deal. But the Turks know that the Chinese system is much less accurate than that of the West and that of Russia, and that the Chinese system may not work at all or work with low margin of success in defending Turkey's air space. Hence all the talks about the deal is a show. Turkey knows very well that the Chinese weapons cannot be integrated with NATO's radar technology. No NATO country is going to hand over to the Chinese the radar codes that would allow the defensive missiles to detect friend from foe. This may point to an a important fact, if the Chines deal goes thru, that Turkey is considering to secede from NATO in the future in order to expand toward Greece, toward Europe and convert all the infidel gavours in the region to Islam by military conquest. Turkey's "Zero problems" has become "nothing but problems." for Turkey if we add to that the currant worsening relations with the West.

Oct. 22. 2013 World Council of Churches Stands By As Christians Perish, Churches WitherBy MALCOLM LOWE http://www.thejerusalemconnection.us/blog/2013/10/22/world-council-of-churches-stands-by-as-christians-perish-churches-wither.html Protestants have been in turmoils since their foundation, since they were founded mostly by Masons, Freemasons and crypto-Jews. They do not have a central hierarchy like the Catholic church, but they do have something called WCC. Their WCC brings together churches, denominations and church fellowships in more than 110 countries and territories throughout the world, representing over 500 million Christians and including most of the world's Orthodox churches, scores of Anglican, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist and Reformed churches, as well as many United and Independent churches. At the end of 2012, there were 345 member churches. While the bulk of the WCC's founding churches were European and North American, today most member churches are in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East and the Pacific. The World Council of Churches (WCC) in Geneva claims to represent and serve 345 churches worldwide. What has it done to help the persecuted churches in Iraq, Syria and Egypt? Or the flood of Syrian refugees into Jordan and Lebanon? Answer: it has devoted the whole of 2013 to promoting a World Week for Peace in Palestine Israel (September 22-28). That is, it has poured its Swiss francs into stirring up the one corner of the area that is currently almost calm. It is not as if it is a secret that Muslim violence in Iraq drove out half the Christian population within a decade. Or that affiliates of Al-Qaeda have emptied whole Syrian villages and towns of their Christian populations. Or that almost a hundred Coptic churches in Egypt were assailed by supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood shortly after President Morsi was deposed. And that was merely one chapter in the ongoing martyrdom of the Copts, which has seen 100,000 of them fleeing Egypt since the downfall of President Mubarak. All such facts are documented on many websites, above all that of Raymond Ibrahim, which also records the endless attacks on Christians in Pakistan and Nigeria, indeed worldwide, by Muslim groups. Since August 2011, the Gatestone Institute has published his monthly roundup of such reports. Look at the website of the WCC, however, and you will hardly notice any awareness of all that. Instead, the WCC’s website is loaded with schemes and resources relating to the Palestinians. The “resources” offer compilations of Palestinian propaganda, including calls for the so-called Palestinian “right of return” (that is, the transformation of Israel into an Arab-majority state). The excuse for this absurd imbalance is that the WCC has maintained for decades, and insists on maintaining against all evidence, that the churches of the Middle East have no other real problem than the Palestinian issue. Earlier this year (May 21-25), the WCC held a conference on “Christian Presence and Witness in the Middle East” near Beirut, Lebanon. Its closing statement proclaimed: “Palestine continues to be the central issue in the region. Resolving the conflict between Israel and Palestine in accordance with the UN resolutions and international law, will greatly help resolving the other conflicts in the region.” Rifat Odeh Kassis, co-author and general coordinator of the WCC’s Kairos Palestine initiative, former head of the WCC’s Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel, and Special Adviser to the WCC’s General Secretary, is pictured above giving an interview to Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV. (Photo source: Kairos Palestine) Given the misery that has overwhelmed Christians in the wake of the so-called “Arab Spring,” who in the world still believes such nonsense except inveterate Jew haters? For sure, the WCC could round up a few of the latter among bishops in the Middle East, but is that its excuse? How can any sane well-educated church bureaucrat, of the sort from which the WCC is recruited, make such a statement only a two-hour ride away from the turmoil in Syria, which has sent hundreds of thousands of refugees into the same Lebanon where they were conferring? Such is the current level of persecution of Christians in Egypt that even the WCC cannot wholly overlook it. On August 15 last, Rev. Dr. Olav Fykse Tveit, the WCC General Secretary, sent a brief letter of solidarity to WCC member churches in Egypt. In the letter, he expressed regret for “attacks against several churches and properties of the Christian community.” The word “several” shows unawareness that already fifty churches and a thousand Christian businesses had been set on fire on the day that President Mursi was dismissed, according to Egyptian attorney Ehab Ramsy. That is, if Tveit did not deliberately understate the severity of Coptic suffering. The WCC’s website informs us that “in addition to his letter” Tveit remarked that “I hope that this will not be interpreted as a conflict between Christians and Muslims.” Who did he think was organizing the systematic assault on Egyptian Christians? Balinese Hindus? Papuan animists? Martians? Even Amnesty International, which is itself otherwise over-busy with the Palestinians, dared to mention – in a detailed report (sixteen pages with ample illustrations) on “Egypt’s Christians Caught between Sectarian Attacks and State Inaction” – that Muslims were responsible for the attacks. The 234 words of Tveit’s letter constitute the WCC’s contribution to alleviating the suffering of ten million or more Egyptian Christians (it is part of their misery that Egypt provides no reliable statistics). Syrian Christians number some two and a half million; the WCC’s help for them consisted of holding a one-day conference in Geneva on September 18 and issuing a call for peace the next day. By contrast, for the last decade the WCC has been investing real money into promoting the Palestinian cause, although a mere 50,000 Christians dwell in the West Bank and barely a thousand in the Gaza Strip. As an article titled “The Myth of Palestinian Christianity” pointed out, there are far more Arabic-speaking Christians in Israel itself, where they enjoy higher social status (education, income) than even the Jewish population. For the Palestinians, the WCC has created a special branch of its bureaucracy: its Palestine Israel Ecumenical Forum (PIEF). On the WCC’s What We Do page, the item “Churches in the Middle East” is defined as follows: “This project aims to build a Palestine/Israel Ecumenical Forum as a space where the entire ecumenical movement can put its collective energies and resources together for lasting peace.” In the Middle East, that is, the WCC cares only about Palestine and it wants all the churches in the world to share this exclusive focus. The PIEF, created in 2007, is the body that organizes the mentioned “World Week for Peace in Palestine Israel.” It has also set up an office in Jerusalem, the Jerusalem Interchurch Center, which seeks to recruit local Christians for activities that promote the Palestinian cause. An example is the notorious Kairos Palestine Document, an initiative created by WCC employees in conjunction with an unrepresentative handful of local Christians, and which the WCC has bombarded upon its member churches. The WCC’s most lavishly funded Palestinian project, however, is its Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI), now in its twelfth year. The dedicated website of this WCC offshoot defines its purpose as follows: EAPPI “brings internationals to the West Bank to experience life under occupation. Ecumenical Accompaniers (EAs) provide protective presence to vulnerable communities, monitor and report human rights abuses and support Palestinians and Israelis working together for peace. When they return home, EAs campaign for a just and peaceful resolution to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict through an end to the occupation, respect for international law and implementation of UN resolutions.” The “internationals” are recruited mainly from Western Protestant churches and they spend just three months gaining their “experience” (read: intensive indoctrination in Palestinian “narratives” the veracity of which they have no chance to check). Why only three months? Because this is the length of a standard Israeli tourist visa, so they can come and go as tourists without being noticed. On their return, they are required to spend as much time touring their churches to promote the message that they have learned. Here we see the real evil that results from this scheme. Through EAPPI, the bureaucracies of the rich Protestant churches have been convinced that the only thing that they need to worry about in the Middle East is the Palestinian situation. All the mission resources of Western Protestants are focused on Palestine and their relevant bureaucrats are just as totally obsessed with the issue as is the WCC itself. The persecuted Christians of Iraq, Syria and Egypt may as well go hang. Why, one might ask, has the WCC not even thought of setting up “accompaniment” programs for countries where Christians are dying and their churches are withering away? One answer is the preposterous lie propagated by the WCC, as quoted above: that Palestine is the “central issue” and that solving this issue will rescue the Christians perishing elsewhere in the Middle East. Another answer is sheer cowardice. The main task of EAPPI internationals, apart from listening to unverifiable Palestinian tales, is to watch Palestinians go through Israeli checkpoints. The number of checkpoints has been drastically reduced in recent years and the Israeli authorities are introducing quicker and surer means of identification, so not much risk there. If the EAPPI internationals want a little whiff of danger, they can go on a Friday to watch – from a safe distance of course – a ritual battle between Palestinian youths throwing stones and Israeli soldiers responding with tear gas. In Egypt or Syria, on the other hand, they would have faced a real danger from machine guns, arson or bombardment with conventional and chemical weapons. Fortunately for the Christians of the Middle East, the Vatican never joined the WCC and merely sends observers on the rare occasions when the WCC remembers its original purpose: to encourage theological discussions about divided Christianity. In Syria and Egypt, Catholics of the Franciscan Order, among others, are courageously facing serious danger in providing aid to persecuted Christians of all denominations. Unlike the WCC and the Western Protestant churches influenced by its obsession with Palestine, the Russian Orthodox Church has assumed a real financial burden on behalf of Syrian Christians. In August this year, the Moscow Patriarchate transferred over a million dollars to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch to aid them. “Donations were coming from dioceses, parishes, monasteries, and individuals from various cities, including Kaliningrad, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Syktyvkar, Saransk, Murmansk, Pskov, Orenburg, Volgograd, Tula, and even Krymsk which underwent devastating floods last year,” the Moscow Patriarchate noted. “Money was also transferred to the account of the Department for Church Charity and Social Service from Israel, Armenia, Italy, Germany, and other countries.” Yes, even Russian Orthodox in Israel made a contribution. Likewise, the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem is working among Syrian refugees in Jordan. There are also Jewish groups in Israel that have taken upon themselves the dangerous task of supplying food and medical supplies to victims of Syria’s civil war. At the same time, hundreds of wounded Syrians have been smuggled into Israel to receive medical care in hospitals, provided free, while the Israeli army has set up a field hospital near the border for less urgent cases. In Israeli medical institutions, of course, Muslims and Christians work alongside Jews to provide treatment for everyone, enabling easy communication with Syrian Arabs. So here is the paradox: the WCC relentlessly spreads discredit of Israelis in churches worldwide, while Israelis are doing vastly more than the WCC to help victims of the violence in Syria. Let us note what the WCC is, and what it is not. It describes itself as an organization of “345 member churches representing over 500 million Christians in more than 110 countries and territories.” This aspect of its existence, however, is in evidence only once every few years when it organizes an assembly or a conference. For the rest of the time, the WCC is no more than a bunch of bureaucrats at its Geneva office. Its activities and declarations are determined by them and them alone. When one of them retires, the others choose a successor. Preponderantly, they come from a small number of Protestant churches in North America and northern Europe. Exceptionally, during 2004-2009 the General Secretary was a Kenyan, but he suddenly resigned after questions were raised about his doctorate. The current incumbent, Tveit, is a Norwegian Lutheran. Those Protestant churches are the ones most in thrall to the WCC’s Palestinian agenda. Consider, for example, Robert O. Smith, who is a co-moderator of the WCC’s PIEF, as well as covering Europe and the Middle East on behalf of a major US Lutheran church (the ELCA). Smith is constant critic, or rather denigrator, of Christian Zionism, whether in his doctorate, his articles or a recent book. Another example is the US Presbyterians (PCUSA). Their Middle East bureaucrats have for years tried to drag the church into a pro-Palestinian stance. Many of the laity, however, are opposed, whether because of sympathy for Israel or resentment at being dictated to by those bureaucrats. So every two years a battle is fought out at the PCUSA’s General Assembly. Both sides invest large amounts of money to muster support, money that desperately poor Egyptian Coptic families could have used much better. To date, the bureaucrats have mostly lost, but only until the next General Assembly. In the PCUSA, at least, Presbyterian democratic principles still function. Not so in various European Protestant churches, where the laity is less able to exert itself. Elsewhere, I have documented how deeply flawed pro-Palestinian reports were officially accepted by the British Methodists and the Church of Scotland. The first major church to go in this direction, however, was the Church of Sweden. In such instances, what has arrived is a new kind of replacement theology: the Palestinians have become the Chosen People and the Kairos Palestine Document takes precedence over the Bible. Indeed, while these churches encourage severe criticism of the Bible, Kairos Palestine is treated as infallible Holy Writ. It is not surprising that churches that have discarded the fundamentals of Protestant theology have also suffered a massive drop in membership, financial crises and a general loss of direction in recent decades. That connection was pointed out in a masterly analysis by Dexter Van Zile three years ago; the intervening time has merely confirmed it. He wrote when PCUSA membership was dropping at around 3% annually; in 2012 it was 5.26%. ELCA membership has dropped 5.95%, 4.98% and 2.68% during 2010-2012. The agenda of the WCC’s conferences and assemblies, along with any statements issued, are also determined in Geneva. A Franciscan friend was once invited to such a show. When he arrived, he was told that his task was to read out a greeting from the Christians of the Holy Land. Looking at the text that was thrust into his hand, he protested that he had never seen it before, that he had certainly not brought it from the Holy Land, and that there were things obviously wrong in it. No, he was told, he must read it out exactly as it was. Similarly, the upcoming Tenth Assembly of the WCC (October 30-November 8 in Busan, Korea) is already fully predetermined. The theme dictated from Geneva, “God of life, lead us to justice and peace,” is a giveaway: “peace and justice” is a familiar slogan of pro-Palestinian propaganda. The Handbook of the Tenth Assembly indeed shows that EAPPI and Kairos Palestine will be strongly featured, along with the “Eco-Justice of Palestine.” What is Eco-Justice, one might wonder? Answer: “The speakers will address the daily injustices of the occupation and the critical condition of the environment in the Holy Land. Water shortage, issues of solid-waste management and food sovereignty, are all pressing concerns for Palestinians. Addressing how these concerns affect the human population economically, culturally, and psychologically, the workshop will inform participants about eco-justice and foster a discussion on the necessity for international solidarity on this issue.” Just don’t expect them to mention such issues as the Palestinian Authority’s refusal to engage in joint sewage treatment projects with Israel, the immense wastage in the leaky water mains of Palestinian cities, or the illegally dug wells that have caused the water table of Gaza to become polluted with seawater. No, the Palestinians will make Israel the scapegoat, as usual, for all their own sins against the environment. At the beginning of last year, Prof. Haim Gwirzman of Bar-Ilan University’s BESA Center published a total refutation of all the often-repeated Palestinian lies about their water situation. A summary of his findings can also be found here. It is typical of Palestinian propaganda, however, that the same old lies are constantly repeated, never mind how often or how thoroughly they have been refuted. And never mind when Christians do the same. When Israel is to be besmirched, truth is immaterial – just one of the links between anti-Israelism and antisemitism. On the other hand, the words “Syria,” “Egypt,” “Iraq” and “Lebanon” occur nowhere in the Handbook for the WCC’s upcoming assembly. The word “Jordan” features only in the name of the “Environmental Education Center of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land,” the presenter of the nonsense workshop on “Eco-Justice.” Once again, the WCC will totally ignore the truly pressing miseries of Middle East Christians in favor of pro-Palestinian agitation. Yes, you may object, but surely there is much more on the agenda of the Tenth Assembly? Put it the other way round: if the other sessions are on a similarly low level, why go half way round the world to get there? Let whoever can spare the time look throughout the Handbook and draw their conclusions. They may find that the WCC is unconcerned about what is on offer, provided that all participants go home with a fixation on Palestine. This leads to a broader question: Who needs the WCC any more? Would the world, let alone Middle East Christians, be better off without it? When the WCC was founded in 1948, it was highly unusual that leaders of diverse churches conferred together. Today it is commonplace and facilitated by quick and cheap air transport. Popes and prelates whizz around everywhere. If the WCC simply disappeared, it would end a convenient parking place for Protestant bureaucrats who feel bored or out of place in their particular churches. But who else would miss it? As for this year’s “World Week for Peace in Palestine Israel,” its impact seems to have been rather small. PIEF published a brief note about participation “in at least 22 countries worldwide” together with a more detailed list. It amounts to saying that in just 20% of the WCC’s “more than 110 countries and territories” at least one church responded. In Germany, for instance, only an event in the city of Essen is mentioned. Under “USA” no events are listed, just prayers issued by a board of the United Methodist Church and by the Presbytery of Atlanta. In “Russia and Ukraine” only a Methodist church participated. It can hardly be described as a mass movement. Rather, it is a sectarian cult with its own comic rituals. One of those rituals is a “game of chance” called “Occupation: a game of life.” It is modeled upon “snakes and ladders” and is supposed to depict Palestinian misery. You can see here Bishop William Kenny and Rev. Paul Dean hopping around in this fashion under the gaze of Palestinian Lutheran Bishop Younan in London. The inventors of this game call themselves “Embrace the Middle East,” so they ought to invent versions for Syrian and Egyptian Christians under the rubric of “a game of death.” (“Monopoly,” after all, is available in all sorts of national versions.) Only then the hopping clerics would have to simulate horrible deaths on certain squares. On others, they would have to empty their pockets to pay the jizya tax extorted from Copts by Muslim gangsters. The WCC’s own contribution was to be a mass pilgrimage to Jerusalem, but it seems not to have materialized. PIEF’s list does not mention it. There were rumors about a couple of dozen such “pilgrims” receiving intensive instruction in a Bethlehem convent, a kind of EAPPI crash course. If it happened, it was minimal in comparison with the thousands of Christian Zionists who, that same week, were at the Feast of Tabernacles Conference organized by the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem. The Israeli press noticed only the latter, marching through the streets and waving their national flags amid a traditional parade of Israeli organizations. During those very days, September 22-28, the world media had no time for the WCC; all eyes were fixed on the attack upon a shopping mall in Kenya by Somali Muslim terrorists. Everyone heard and read the horrifying reports of how the terrorists first dismissed any who could prove themselves to be Muslims, then inflicted grotesque tortures on others before murdering them. Fear of Islamic extremism, not worrying about Palestine, has the stronger grip on most in the West. Even the Palestinian press seems to have ignored the WCC’s scheme. Inspection of the pages of Al-Quds for that week did not turn up any reference, though various other delegations were duly recorded. Maybe some event among those listed by PIEF under “Palestine” was mentioned somewhere, but the reference must have been very brief. Finally, let us look at PIEF’s recommendation for church services on Sunday, September 22. It was entitled “To pray you need a military permit” and consisted of a twofold ritual. First of all: “Block your own church entrance with barbed wire or a barrier, explaining that members of the congregation do not have the proper permit to enter church.” This is certainly more convenient than sending in gunmen to shoot indiscriminately, throw bombs, tear down and destroy pictures, smash crosses, and set the place on fire. That is, if they wanted to simulate the experience of Christians in Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan or Nigeria. The second part of the ritual was to read aloud a statement issued by the Heads of Churches in Jerusalem last Easter, after a fracas at a police barrier in the Old City of Jerusalem. The statement complained about “great sorrow and pain for some of our faithful because they were ill-treated by some Israeli policemen.” Well, you can see for yourselves a video of the incident. Although the Jerusalem Post obligingly entitled the story “Video shows Jerusalem Police assault elderly priest,” the video tells a different story. The priest concerned obviously tried to force his way through a police barrier and had to be restrained. Anyone less august might have been arrested for defying police instructions and using force against police officers. One who has observed many Easters in Jerusalem can easily explain what the police procedure is. The problem is that streets around the Holy Sepulchre are very narrow, making it almost impossible for large numbers of people to move simultaneously in both directions. So the police cordon off the whole area with barriers and establish distinct entry points and exit points, such that the flow of the faithful is always in one direction. The priest concerned, identified as the head of the Coptic Church in Ramallah, only needed to go to one of the designated entry points. But he thought that he and his friends should be an exception; when he tried to force his way through somewhere else, the police stopped him. The Copts were furious and the Heads of Churches, irrespective of the rights of the matter, issued a statement of solidarity in order to save the face of the Coptic Church. So we see that it is a plain lie to present such a ritual under the title “To pray you need a military permit.” An appropriate title would be “To enter the church, please use the north door.” At the other doors of the church, instead of barbed wire, one should hang up such a notice. But who could get excited about that?

Why Turkey is opting for its air-space defense the Chinese version of US Patriots, Russian S-300, and European SAMP/T ? Could it be in order to send a message to NATO? Because China, unlike the West & Russia, offered to co-produce its system, the FD-2000, with Turkish specialists and agreed to transfer the design technology of the system to Turkey. With the design technology on hand, in the future the Turks will not be needing the Chinese. They even can start exporting their own version of those air defenses. The Turkish plans to invade Europe in the future are going according to the schedule. “The only reason why Turkey didn’t have them [the air defense systems] until now is because they wanted to achieve the technological information and know-how to produce these systems,” A Turkish military source said. “I think Turkey’s choice is a message to its NATO allies in this sense.”

How does it taste like? The taste is not tasty. However I use it with yogurt, I put a spoonful of ground turmeric in a cup of yogurt, mix it and it tastes great. I buy the organic ground turmeric from a spices section of supermarket. There is also the supplement kind on sale in Vitamin-shops or catalogs, but did not try those yet.

Turkey said in September it had chosen the FD-2000 long-range air and missile defense system from China Precision Machinery Import and Export Corp, over rival systems from Russian, U.S. and European firms. This Chinese firm, CPMIEC, is under U.S. sanctions for violations of the Iran, North Korea and Syria Nonproliferation Act. Moreover Turkey is thumping its noise at NATO alliance and is buying a system that is not compatible with other members of NATO of 28 nations alliance of which Turkey is also a member. Turkey said China's offer met its primary demands on price and the ability to place much of the production in Turkey and that it will soon sign the $3.4 billion deal with CPMIEC even though this firm is under U.S. sanctions The China deal has sparked speculation of a broader rift between Ankara and Washington, however since Washington always capitulates and kneels before Turkey it indicated there is no rift, Turkey is still a strong partner, only there is concern that the deal undermines allied air defenses. Washington was about to deliver 10 Predator drones to Turkey but because of Chinese infiltration and construction of air defenses of Turkey and the possibility of passing the technical secrets of US drones into the Chinese hands, US halted the delivery of those drones to Turkey. But in Turkey they have another viewpoint. An October 16 Washington Post article revealed that the Turkish government had exposed to Iranian intelligence authorities the identities of “up to 10 Iranians” that had been meeting inside Turkey with their Mossad case officers. This betrayal of Turkey of Israel by sharing information about Mossad with the Iranian intelligence service, upset the Israeli and Washington and the delivery of 10 Predators to Turkey was stopped. The future yet may see more chastisements from Washington leveled on Turkey for its betrayal of its partners of the West.

Armenia’s membership in Customs Union to reduce turnover with EU: German ambassador >>>>Of six Eastern partnership countries only Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia will sing the agreement, not Armenia<<<<< YEREVAN, October 24. 2013/ARKA.am/. Armenia’s membership in the Customs Union will lead to reduction in turnover with the EU countries, Germany’s ambassador to Armenia Reiner Morell said Thursday at a conference on responsible finance in Armenia. He said the EU-member countries will accept Armenia’s decision as a sovereign one, not clarifying though what consequences it may have. “We regret Armenia is moving towards membership in the customs union not for increasing trade volumes. Apart from that, the country will have no opportunity to take the advantage of tariffs and preferences that the EU can provide”, the ambassador said. Morel stressed the importance of carrying through the cooperation planned, despite the fact many provisions will have to be revised. At the same time, according to the ambassador, the document will not be materialized at the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius. According to Morel, of six Eastern partnership countries only Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia will sing the agreement. Armenia said it intends to cooperate with the Customs Union and, at the same time, keep its contacts with other partners, and the EU will continue the cooperation if potential fields are pointed to, Morel said. The diplomat also stressed the need for reviewing compatibility of interests and understanding the legal basis of relations. The EU is willing to continue cooperation with Armenia, especially when Armenia have already started implementing reforms, Morel said. According to ArmStat, Armenia’s foreign trade turnover with the EU countries amounted to a total of $1,059.18 million in January-August 2013, an increase of 1.6% compared to the same period of the year before.

No Customs Union for Ukraine in Case of EU Deal – PutinMINSK, October 24 (RIA Novosti) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that it would be impossible for Ukraine to join a Moscow-led Customs Union if the country signs an association agreement with the European Union. “It will be impossible since such association stipulates the creation of a free-trade zone between the European Union and Ukraine,” Putin said at a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Minsk. However, he noted that Russia is neither for nor against Ukraine’s drive to join the European Union. “This is not our [Russia’s] business, and this is a sovereign right of the Ukrainian people and authorities on behalf of the president, parliament and the government,” Putin said. Speaking further about accession to the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, Putin said the member states supported Armenia’s and Kyrgyzstan’s bids to join the bloc. He added that a special working group had been formed to work out a road map for their integration. Ukraine’s government on September 18 approved a draft European Union association agreement, moving the country one step closer to the final signing of such an agreement, slated for November. Moscow has been increasingly pressuring Kiev to join the Moscow-led Customs Union, which would keep Ukraine under Russia’s sphere of influence. Although Ukraine has observer status in this bloc, it has clearly indicated that it will not seek full membership.

According to a recent University of Berkeley/University of Illinois study, 52% of fast food workers rely on federal programs like Medicaid, food stamps, the Earned Income Tax Credit, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families to provide for their children. This is due partly to poverty-level wages and partly to heavy reliance by fast food outlets on part time workers (under 30 hours per week). MacDonald’s et all are reluctant to take on full time employees owing to the new requirement (under Obamacare) that they provide health insurance for full time workers. . Under Obamacare, employers are only required to provide health insurance if workers put in more than 30 hours a week. Investors.com has been tracking employers that are either cutting work hours or only hiring part time workers to reduce their obligation under the new law. When employers cut back their full time workers, Obamacare shifts responsibility to the federal government (through expanded Medicaid programs and premium subsidies) to provide health coverage for minimum wage workers. The Government Accountability Office reports that Obamacare will increase the federal deficit by $6.2 trillion. $709 billion of this will fund Medicaid expansion (from 2014-2023). The rest will take the form of direct subsidies to insurance companies. Owners of individual health-insurance policies already have received millions in cancellation notices, according to a compilation of news reports because because those policies does not cover all the essential benefits required by the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare. Those who try to sign up for new ones are learning the cost may be significantly higher. "The U.S. individual health insurance market currently totals about 19 million people. Because the Obama administration's regulations on grandfathering existing plans were so stringent about 85% of those, 16 million, are not grandfathered and must comply with Obamacare at their next renewal." says Robert Laszewski in his blog http://healthpolicyandmarket.blogspot.com/2013/10/week-two-of-obamacare-federal-health.html#more he adds: "These 16 million people are now receiving letters from their carriers saying they are losing their current coverage and must re-enroll in order to avoid a break in coverage and comply with the new health law's benefit mandates––the vast majority by January 1. Most of these will be seeing some pretty big rate increases."

Who are the descendants of Caucasian Albanians? A two-day conference in Yerevan Oct. 17. 2013 http://www.armradio.am/en/2012/10/17/who-are-the-descendants-of-caucasian-albanian/ Alisa Gevorgyan “Radiolur” http://www.armradio.am/en/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/map11-620x300.jpg An international scientific conference titled “Albania-Aghvank- Arran: Ethno-political history and issues of Christian culture” kicked off in Yerevan today. The forum aims to clarify who are the ethnic descendants of the Caucasian Albania, or Aghvank as Armenians call it. Not only Armenian and Russian, but also representatives of Caucasian nations once included in the above-mentioned Albanian state will present reports during the two-day conference. The Armenian and foreign scholars will try to restore the history of Caucasian Albania, which was located in the north of Kura River. Today descendants of Turkic nomads are trying to lay territorial claims on Armenia on behalf of Caucasian Albanians. “The real inheritors of the Albanian culture are some peoples of the North Caucasus, particularly Dagestanis, but never Azerbaijanis,” said Yuri Suvaryan, Academician of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences. “Azerbaijanis, who had once settled in Daghestan and the adjacent territories, today call themselves with the names of their ancestors – the immigrant Turkic tribes. They represent a nation, which has not yet finally determined its identity and was given the name “Azerbaijani” only in the 20th century. The claims of Azerbaijan, which has declared itself the inheritor of Albanian culture, are at least cynical, and this does not stand any scientific justification. Perhaps, there’s no need to refer to the hundreds of churches and monuments on the liberated territories of Artsakh, which are proofs of the uninterrupted Armenian spiritual-cultural presence in those regions. The numerous sensational discoveries of the past years simply disperse all Azerbaijani claims. One of the recent sensations was the discovery of Artsakh’s Tigranakert built by Tigran the Great, which is an evidence of the 2,000-year-long existence of Armenian statehood on the territory of Artsakh. Russian scholar Vladimir Zakharov said “the claims of Azerbaijanis of being the descendants of Albanian culture are at least hilarious, although this is a state policy conducted on the highest level, which aims to prove that Armenians are comers here, while Azerbaijanis are among the most ancient nations of theCaucasus.’ “I find no words other than impudence to describe this policy. The attempts of Azerbaijanis to declare themselves Albanians have no scientific ground. Therefore, what Azerbaijan is doing, is a mere speculation,” Zakharov added.

When this healthcare programme goes into effect expect doctors to look frustrated because their load will increase; from the people side they will be frustrated also because it will be difficult to get appointments from the doctors because they will always be busy. There are going to be few doctors and many more patients. Doctors will look rushed and stressed out and will not be able to give the quality healthcare as before. October 23, 2013 Socialist healthcare, the prophetic demise of America? by Bill Wilson Back in the day, I covered agricultural and economic news for Knight-Ridder. The Soviet Union had a five year plan. They rarely, if ever, met the goals of the plan. For example, every year the communists would say they were going to be food self-sufficient. And every year, they had hungry people because they could not feed them. The collective farms were not producing at capacity. Moreover, the communists, using military trucks, lost high percentages of what was produced in transport to the grain elevators. The system imploded every year and they had to buy from America. Socialized healthcare in America is no different. No incentive plus government incompetency equals suffering people. With socialist medicine, Americans are already seeing a similar system to Soviet agriculture. The people are unable to sign up because the government website doesn't work. Health plans are far more expensive for less coverage. Government subsidies (translated: wealth redistribution) are to be handed out to those who can't afford it. Kaiser Health News reports that major insurance carriers such as Florida Blue, Kaiser Permanente, Highmark and Blue Cross will drop millions of customers who were promised by the occupant of the Oval Office that they could keep their policies. These cancellations, already totaling over half a million, are due to the requirements of socialist medicine. In the end, there are higher deductibles, higher premiums, higher taxes, and a system where government employees will decide who gets to receive healthcare treatment and when they get it. Tax money will support abortion, euthanasia, and subsidize a huge and ever growing government bureaucracy that is designed to control your freedom using your health as leverage. Meanwhile, the occupant is pushing for millions of illegals to have citizenship through amnesty, which will further use socialist healthcare for wealth redistribution and voter control. When the news media presses the White House on these issues of socialized medicine, the press secretary says he is not a computer expert and walks out. The Communist Manifesto calls for abolishing all religion and all morals. It creates a godless society where people have no hope, no incentive, no desire to live out life in the excellence of Christ. Therefore, what they do is go to work and come home to a substandard quality of life, the leaders get richer, the middle class disappears. That is what will happen in America if this is allowed to continue. Psalm 33:12 says, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD." When the people allow government to become god, they suffer the consequences. And yes, it rains on the just as well as the unjust. God has given us freedom in choosing our rulers. We are held to a higher accountability with such responsibility. Have a Blessed and Powerful Day! Bill Wilson www.dailyjot.com

Exploring Ways to Overcome Poor Nutrition October 23, 2013 Photos in link: http://blog.farusa.org/2013/10/23/healthcare-exploring-ways-to-overcome-poor-nutrition/ Efforts to kick off the healthcare component of FAR’s new project "Breaking the Cycle of Poverty", began earlier this month with the start of a clinical investigation at Berd Medical Center in Tavush marz. The program’s healthcare component focuses on identifying the most common problems linked to poor nutrition in children ages six months to six years, and also explore ways the education system can help to better provide children with access to balanced nutrition. The lab and pediatric departments of Berd Medical Center have received all needed equipment and supplies to carry out the study, and FAR’s Medical Program Coordinator Dr. Hambartzum Simonyan came to observe the start of the investigation. The community has already expressed their great interest and hope in these activities.

I stopped eating olives because generally too salty and the real good olives are expensive, then I started eating after this article and I have just to wash the olives with clean water to take some of saltiness away 10 Reasons You Should Be Eating Olives October 20, 2013 http://www.naturalblaze.com/2013/10/10-reasons-you-should-be-eating-olives.html By John Summerly Even though more attention is usually given to their delicious oil than the whole food itself, olives are one of the world's most widely enjoyed fruits. Yes, they are fruits even though most of us think of them as zesty vegetables. Here are 10 reasons why you should be eating these little delicacies every day. 1. Cardiovascular Benefits When free radicals oxidize cholesterol, blood vessels are damaged and fat builds up in arteries, possibly leading to a heart attack. The antioxidant nutrients in black olives impede this oxidation of cholesterol, thereby helping to prevent heart disease. Olives do contain fat, but it's the healthy monounsaturated kind, which has been found to shrink the risk of atherosclerosis and increase good cholesterol. When diets low in monounsaturated fat are altered to increase the monounsaturated fat content (without becoming too high in total fat), research study participants typically experience a decrease in their blood cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and LDL:HDL ratio. All of these changes lower our risk of heart disease. Recent research studies have also shown that the monounsaturated fat found in olives (and olive oil) can help to decrease blood pressure. The oleic acid found in olives--once absorbed up into the body and transported to our cells--can change signaling patterns at a cell membrane level (specifically, altering G-protein associated cascades). These changes at a cell membrane level result in decreased blood pressure. 2. Weight Loss It appears that monounsaturated fats, the kind found in olives, when replacing saturated fats, may encourage weight loss. Olive oil consumption has been shown to breakdown fats inside fat cells, get rid of belly fat and reduce insulin insensitivity. People who have the highest olive consumption eat fewer calories overall and are rarely overweight. Blood tests show they have higher levels of serotonin, a so-called satiety hormone that makes us feel full. The aroma extracts from olive oil can leave us feeling fuller, cutting our calorie intake by almost 200 a day, they said. 3. Cancer Prevention The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of olives make them a natural for protection against cancer because chronic oxidative stress and chronic inflammation can be key factors in the development of cancer. If our cells get overwhelmed by oxidative stress (damage to cell structure and cell function by overly reactive oxygen-containing molecules) and chronic excessive inflammation, our risk of cell cancer is increased. By providing us with rich supplies of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nutrients, olives can help us avoid this dangerous combination of chronic oxidative stress and chronic inflammation. Black olives are a great source of vitamin E, which has the brilliant ability to neutralize free radicals in body fat. Especially when working with the stable monounsaturated fats found in olives, vitamin E can make cellular processes safer. When such processes such as mitochondrial energy production are not well protected, the free radicals produced can cause oxidation, damaging a cell's mitochondria, and preventing the cell from producing enough energy to supply its needs. If the DNA of a cell is damaged, it may well mutate and become cancerous. Studies have shown that a diet supplemented with olive oil leads to a lower risk of colon cancer, almost as low a risk as a diet rich in fish oil. 4. Less Pain Spanish-style green olives, Kalamata-style olives, and many different methods of olive preparation provide us with valuable amounts of many different antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nutrients which can act as a natural Ibuprofen. Their oils contain oleocanthal, a substance with anti-inflammatory agents. Similar to classical NSAIDs, they are a type of non-selective inhibitor of cyclooxygenase (COX). 50g (more than three and a half tablespoons) of a typical virgin olive oil per day contains an amount of oleocanthal with similar anti-inflammatory effect as 1/10 of the adult ibuprofen dose. 5. Skin and Hair Health Black olives are rich in fatty acids and antioxidants that nourish, hydrate and protect. Chief among those is vitamin E. Whether applied topically or ingested, vitamin E has been shown to protect skin from ultraviolet radiation, thus guarding against skin cancer and premature aging. You can gain a healthy, glowing complexion by washing your face in warm water, applying a few drops of olive oil to vulnerable spots, and letting it work its magic for 15 minutes before rinsing it off. In fact, you can moisturize with olive oil before any bath, and even condition your hair with it by mixing it with an egg yolk and leaving it before rinsing and washing. 6. Less Allergies New research may help explain how olives work to provide us with anti-inflammatory benefits, especially during circumstances involving allergy. Olive extracts have now been shown to function as anti-histamines at a cellular level. By blocking special histamine receptors (called H1 receptors), unique components in olive extracts may help to lessen a cell's histamine response. Because histamine is a molecule that can get overproduced in allergy-related conditions and can be a key player in the inflammatory process, it's likely that the anti-inflammatory benefits we get from olives involve this anti-histamine pathway. It's also possible that olives may have a special role to play as part of an overall anti-allergenic diet. Your circulation will improve and you’ll be able to breath easier with olive consumption. They can increase blood flow and help lessen the effects of illnesses such as asthma through its anti-inflammatory properties. 7. Digestive Tract Health Frequent consumption of both vitamin E and the monounsaturated fats in black olives is associated with lower rates of colon cancer. These nutrients help prevent colon cancer by neutralizing free radicals. Olive oil's protective function also has a beneficial effect on ulcers and gastritis. Olive oil activates the secretion of bile and pancreatic hormones much more naturally than prescribed drugs, thereby lowering the incidence of gallstone formation. A cup of black olives also contains 17% of the daily allowance of fiber, which promotes digestive tract health by helping to move food through the system at a healthier pace. This keeps any one part of the digestive tract from having to work too hard and supports the ideal balance of chemicals and populations of microorganisms required for a healthy digestive system. 8. Good Source of Iron Olives, especially black are very high in iron. The ability of red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout the body is due to the presence of iron in the blood. If we suffer from a lack of iron, our tissues don't get enough oxygen, and we may feel cold or weak. Iron also plays a vital role in the production of energy. It is a necessary part of a number of enzymes, including iron catalase, iron peroxidase, and the cytochrome enzymes. It also helps produce carnitine, a nonessential amino acid important for the utilization of fat. To top it all off, the proper function of the immune system is dependent on sufficient iron. 9. Eye Health One cup of olives contains ten percent of the daily recommended allowance of vitamin A which, when converted into the retinal form, is crucial for healthy eyes. It enables the eye to better distinguish between light and dark, thereby improving night vision. Furthermore, Vitamin A is believed effective against cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma and other age-related ocular diseases. 10. Increases Blood Levels of Glutathione Olives have shown the ability to increase blood levels of glutathione (one of the body's premier antioxidant nutrients). Consumption of olive pulp is associated with significantly increased glutathione levels in the blood and improvement in antioxidant capacity. How to Select Olives While olives have been traditionally sold in jars and cans, many stores are now offering them in bulk in large barrels or bins (often called an "olive bar"). Buying bulk olives will allow you to experiment with many different types with which you may be unfamiliar and to purchase only as many as you need at one time. While whole olives are very common, you may also find ones that have been pitted, as well as olives that have been stuffed with either peppers, garlic or almonds. If you purchase olives in bulk, make sure that the store has a good turnover and keeps their olives immersed in brine for freshness and to retain moistness. Some grocers will also use genetically modified oils such as Canola which should be avoided. Avoid purchasing olives in cans. FDA data has shown levels of acrylamide as high as 1,925 ppb in some canned, nationally distributed brands of black pitted olives. Based on this data, higher acrylamide levels in select canned black olives may be related to specific handling, storage, processing (especially preservation and darkening methods), and heating steps that favored formation of acrylamide. When selecting olives, beware of the label description, "hand-picked." This description does not necessarily tell you anything helpful about the olive harvesting. Many olives are hand-picked, even though the product label makes no mention of this fact. Conversely, olives with have been mechanically harvested with a hand-held pneumatic rake are sometimes labeled as "hand-picked." As far olive oils go, the best processing come from ice-pressed oilswhich is in the complete absence of heat; a dramatic 20-30 times colder than the cold-pressed olive oil; a critical distinction in terms of maintaining the oils’ nutritive and healing potential and to staking claim as one of the world’s only RAW producers of olive oil. http://cdn.slashgear.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/robot-527x500.jpg In light of recent development in Armenia that is exporting robots now to some countries of Europe, a new brand of robots developed in Armenia will soon join the Armenian super iron-masked soldiers on the battlefield. Two wheeled robots, similar to the one in those photos, has entered into mass-production phase in Armenia. It could be armed with lethal weapons, including a grenade launcher, an automatic weapon or anti-tank missiles, to support Armenia's super iron-masked special forces in battle. Armenian military leaders attended a tech demonstration in a secret base in Armenia, where this robotic vehicle was exhibited and its battle capabilities demonstrated in the way those robots could support Armenia's iron-masked troops in combat. Armenian officers watched how a human controller commands a wheeled robot, from a position more than 150 meters away, open fire with a machine gun on the robot. It was shown also how the robot, which also uses thermal-imaging technology to spot concealed enemies, could protect those iron-masked soldiers from potentially dangerous assaults. http://compulenta.computerra.ru/upload/iblock/c30/c30dfd804197159b099b39d569576504_resized_width_63b8614e88eb3eb4409ca115ef6bd08a_500_q95.jpg
