For Jesus, Jerusalem is not buildings, houses, with streets and avenues, rather His people, the people He chooses as His own. Jesus as He says in this message will raise His-New-Body (or New Jerusalem) in glory..... "And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband" Revelation 21:2. The bride is the true followers of Jesus, and husband is Jesus Christ: In the book of Revelation, in chapter 21, in verses 9, 10, 11 is about the bride & the husband: >Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb. And he (the angel) carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God.." The Holy City and Jerusalem here is the New Jerusalem, the bride of Jesus Those empty of the Holy Spirit will not understand, in order to understand they should be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Saakashvili gained power in Georgia in a bold maneuver that was scripted by the following independent NGOs: the National Endowment of Democracy, George Soros, Freedom House, and some others. The aim of England BP was to detach Georgia from Russian influence and make of that country dependent on the West, specially on UK, so that oil and gas pipelines would pass unhindered and free from Russian meddling and influence. Saakashvili was their chosen vessel to accomplish this. When Saakashvili lost the November 2003 elections to his rival Eduard Shevadnadze; without any evidence he called the elections unfair and claimed to be the winner. This was a tactic that those same independent NGOs would try to apply in Armenia also but in this later case they failed after a state of emergency was declared in Yerevan. A series of mass protests were held in Yerevan in the wake of the Armenian presidential election of 19 February 2008. Mass protests against alleged electoral fraud were held in the capital city and organized by supporters of the unsuccessful presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrosyan who had lost in that election. In the case of Saakashvili, he called for protests and civil disobedience claiming fraud in the elections, then his supporters held red roses in their hands and, after seizing the parliament building in its opening day, they interrupted Shevardnadze's speech who left for his safety. Georgia's Supreme Court annulled the elections in which Saakashvili lost; Saakashvili himself declared a state of emergency and convinced Shevadnadze to resign. This came to be known as Georgia's bloodless "Rose Revolution." On January 5, 2004, Saakashvili was elected president. He was inaugurated after 20 days. In March 28 when new parliamentary elections were held, Saakashvili supporters used heavy-handed tactics to win the majority. In Georgia familiar tactics were used when it came to elections; election rigging, organized street protests, major media propaganda, and whatever else it takes to prevail. In Armenia after nine days of peaceful protests at the Opera Square of Yerevan the capital, the national police and military forces tried to disperse the protesters on 1 March, 2008. A bloody confrontation ensued where 10 people were killed. Levon Ter-Petrosyan (who was under de facto house arrest) asked the protesters to go home, thus ending the protests; and everything returned to normal in Armenia. Subsequent attempts by Ter-Petrosian to revive the demonstrations and force the acting Armenian president to resign were unsuccessful and his movement then fizzled off. While in Georgia, following Saakashvili's election, state enterprises were privatized. Georgia's civil service was gutted. Business-friendly tax cuts were enacted. Widespread corruption gamed the system for personal advantage of the relatives of Saakashvili and his supporters. Georgia became a ruthless police state. Rule of law principles were spurned. Heavy-handed repression targeted the protesters of Saakashvili's rule. Legitimate opposition was crushed by a police cleansed from its corruption. Saakashvili's tenure included suspicious deaths, disappearances, mass arrests, detentions, torture, loss of civil liberties, mass media control, and allying with England's financial empire. Armenians of Javakhk were repressed and their rights suppressed, some of the Armenian leaders were imprisoned. His biggest mistake was to wage war on South Ossetia in August 2008. He picked the wrong fight against the wrong adversary. South Ossetia has lots of Russian citizens. Moscow intervened to protect them. It justifiably called Saakashvili's invasion flagrant aggression and responded forcefully. In January 2008, election rigging gave Saakashvili a second term. In May, angry Georgians demanded change. They had to wait five more years. What follows his departure remains to be seen, what is certain is that the new comers are not insane like Saakashvili and will act in a balanced way, with friendliness both with Russia and the West. It was the billions of those supporters of independent NGOs that transformed Georgia into a somehow modern nation, with their billions, specially of the billionaire George Soros (who some say to be only a secret rep for Rothschild and BP of England), Saakashvili would not have been able to accomplish something of significant. Georgians wanted him gone long ago and now they are happy that their wish has come true. Armenians of Javakhk were able to take a breath of air of thankfulness because the one who put yokes on them was no more in power; one such yoke was when Saakashvili forbade them to speak, read and sing in their native Armenian language while forcing them to learn to speak, read and sing in Georgian language. Someday, and he has now plenty of time away from politic, it's expected that Saakashvili will repent for his treatment of the Armenians of Javakhk and start learning Armenian --speak, read and sing in Armenian language! Then it will be possible for those maltreated Armenians to hold the hands of Saakashvili and do a typical Armenian dance all together.

What am I saying, what expert? I’m not even an entry level speaker, I can’t read journalistic work and I am very far away from being able to write fluently. However, having learned to speak the language in my months as a volunteer with Birthright Armenia has enriched me not only from the point of view of grammar or vocabulary but I have come to understand feelings, customs, habits, that I previously viewed with sympathy, but did not understand in their deepest essence. To this I add the practical part: I have the ability to communicate on basic level. I can be too repetitive with the subject and sometimes I am tired of hearing myself talking about Armenia. And if Birthright Armenia gave me all these opportunities, then these are meant to be shared. But there is something that I have kept with me and I want to share now: my experience of return—the exchange with my grandparents, Coco and Alicia, and especially my connection with my grandfather on his last days. My grandfather was determined to speak to me in Armenian. Thus, he did not respond when I spoke in Spanish. “Grandpa, do you want water? … Agua, abuelo, dale, tomá un poquito” and he wouldn’t move or nod. Then as my last resort and with insistent despair, I asked, “Պապիկ, ջուր … մի քիչ … չե՞ս ուզում: Ջու՞ր” and then I received his confirmation. It was an achievement! He also spoke about the hospital and the nurses and most of these I could not understand. That time we were transported to a new dimension, to a place where it was just us. Being able to share my compassion, made ​​me think about how much having learned Armenian was worth. Those days were difficult and sad too, but these memories always bring tears and a smile. And it was the saddest thing, despite the pain, I felt peace and satisfaction knowing that he would have been proud of me, because the words that the Archbishop and his companions said about him, rightly or wrongly, I could understand. Definition of Cyber war Beyond the types of wars mentioned above, another type of war is also noteworthy. It is the cyber war, which is inherent to technological development and is always used in the context of a wide range of wars. The actors involved in such a war use high level technologies. Cyber war is part of the wider electronic war and its technological capabilities are exploited as indispensable instruments for the victorious outcome of a classical, conventional or any other kind of conflict. In attempting to define what “cyber warfare” is, the U.S. government security expert, Richard A. Clarke maintains: >“When the terms of ‘Cyber war’ are used in this book, they refer to actions by a nation-state to penetrate another nation's computers or networks for the purposes of causing damage or disruption” (Clarke 2010, p. 6). In addition, the Economist wrote that cyberspace constitutes “the fifth domain of warfare” (in addition to land, sea, air and space) (Economist 2010) and William J. Lynn, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense, underlines that "as a doctrinal matter, the Pentagon has formally recognized cyberspace as a new domain in warfare. . . [which] has become just as critical to military operations as land, sea, air, and space” (Lynn 2010, p.97-98). These are some short definitions of cyber war. However, one could assert that cyber war cannot be precisely defined. Pursuant to a study requested by the Subcommittee on Security and Defence and issued by the European Parliament: >“There is no common definition of what might constitute ‘cyber warfare’. The 2007 attacks on Estonia, the 2008 attacks on Georgia, the deployment of Stunxet, or the ongoing high level cyber-espionage were all called cyber war at some point. Even cyber attacks that most likely have nothing to do with conflicts between states, such as ‘hacktivism’, or cyber attacks in the wake of the 2010 WikiLeaks affair, or in support of the February – March 2011 Arab revolts have been called cyber war, implying in effect that the concept of warfare is not limited anymore to mere nation – states. In the absence of a common definition, most of the EU Member States and the Commission have studiously avoided using the term cyber warfare in official documents and often prefer neutral such as ‘cyber espionage’, ‘cyber attack’ or ‘cyber defence’” (European Parliament, 2012, p. 9) . 2.1 Various levels of cyber warAccording to the so–called AF-SAB model there are three levels of military cyber attacks: The First Level of military cyber attacks is the “network wars” or “‘system administrator versus system administrator’. This includes mobile malicious logic, Trojan attacks, basic phishing attempts, common exploits, website defacement and other common headaches falling within this category”. This category of attacks is the least serious, including “purported state-sponsored espionage attacks on the government such as the ‘Moonlight Maze’ and ‘Titan Rain’ campaign”. These attacks can be addressed by proper network security precautions” (European Parliament, 2012, p. 7). “Titan Rain” was a sophisticated and cyber espionage attack which “began in 2003 against the US and led to the wide-scale breach of classified US government and military systems, with loss of 10-12 terabytes of information” (European Parliament, 2012, p.52). This attack and others had been organised and performed by non-state Chinese hackers. Over a four year period, they launched similar attacks on government systems and EU member states and EU institutions. Albeit the attackers were not directly associated with the Chinese State, they probably cooperated with the Chinese Security Service as they were under an official command also having connections with high level political leadership. The Second Level cyber attacks fall under “cyber - adjunct to kinetic combat”. The operator attempts to achieve a “kinetic effect” in conjunction to a conventional attack, such as an air strike. Therefore, the operator uses malicious logic to defuse an air defence network. This example exemplifies level 2 cyber attacks (European Parliament, 2012, pp. 7-8). The 2008 cyber attacks on Georgia also fall under this category. These attacks had been combined with military conventional operations and therefore had a kinetic effect. During the war on Georgia, the Russians defaced websites whilst they also launched attacks on critical energy infrastructures. Another relevant case of Level 2 cyber war practice was the one between Syria and Israel in 2007, when the Israelis used the American cyber-weapon, named “Senior Suter”, in order to defuse the Syrian Antiaircraft Network and successfully launched their airstrikes against Syria and precisely hit supposed nuclear facilities on the ground. The last and Third Level is “malicious manipulation”, which specialists consider as the most dangerous attacks. These attacks: “are the ones to be feared, they are covert, they are planned, they are orchestrated and they can use widespread havoc and disruption without the victims realizing their problems are cyber related”. According to a study issued by the services of the European Parliament, “Level 3 attacks also conceal a wide range of possible behaviour – this can include the simple manipulation of a spreadsheet, to Stuxnet and similar purported limited attacks on critical infrastructure, to mass –casualty attacks on an entire nation’s critical infrastructure or even the misrouting of the internet itself” (European Parliament 2012, p. 8). It is of utmost importance to underline that with a reference to “Stuxnet” we mean a “cyber missile” which had been “directed squarely at the Iranian nuclear program by targeting its uranium enrichment capability” (European Parliament p. 52, The Economist, 2010). As the report of the European Parliament maintains: “There has been clear evidence that Stuxnet was successful in damaging and delaying the Iranian enrichment program” (European Parliament, 2012, p. 52, Farwell and Rohozinski 2011, pp. 23-40). This attack was not the first one which used the invisible “weapon” of high technology. As Thomas Reed underlines, an advisor to President Ronald Reagan alleged that the CIA used a logistic bomb in 1982 to destroy a Soviet pipeline and he adds: “It was programmed to go haywire, to reset pump speeds and valve settings to produce pressures far beyond those acceptable to the pipeline joints and welds. The result was the most monumental non-nuclear explosion and fire ever seen from space” (Reed, 2004, p. 269).

When the anti-Christians have succeeded in destroying the hearth, then the morality of society will perish." Who were those anti-Christians of the West? They were satanists and paganists lurking behind the mask of "secularism". They corrupt a society in order to conquer. The separation of sex from marriage, i.e. "sexual liberation," is one of the principle ways satanism and paganism have killed love. Wanton sex in America has become a facsimile for love. Young women in the West now market themselves as sexual partners, not wives and mothers. Men in America are also trained to seek sex, not love. Anonymous sex cannot compare to sex in the context of a loving relationship. This deluded fascination with sex in the West is a large part of what we call "modernism", and when a Christian church takes the path of this modernization it will be as if taking the path of whorish-mess against God. Monogamy and family in Armenia are wholesome and life affirming. When sex is consecrated for marriage, it bonds husband and wife. Marriage provides a wholesome secure environment for raising children in Armenia. For a real woman, by her instinct, sex is an act of surrender and possession and by right definition and understanding, it requires trust and commitment. Most women, deep in their hearts, want one thing: to be loved permanently by one man whom she loves. Sex to them is the symbol of an exclusive long-term bond. But society and the modern culture they have grown in America tells them otherwise; all from TV programs, movies, mass media, music, books, college and university education program --their minds is programed into a free style partying life to be the norm for them. They are not able to resist social pressures to act according to their instincts in a normal fashion they were meant to be, like it is done in Armenia. In Armenia men chose women for their worth as helpmates. She must know how to cook, make clothes, and milk cows if living in rural area, and know how to dance traditional Armenian dances.They look for women who are gentle and accommodating, who have skills, character, personality and make good mothers. Like the plague they avoid promiscuous women, feminists and women who are alienated from their fathers; and women who want everything to be "equal" between wife and a husband. In the West men have been brainwashed to idealize women, having divorce in mind when this period of idealization is over; while in Armenia women are treated lovingly and not idealized except in few cases. In Armenian marriage a couple looks for a life-long companionship, someone who is easy to live with. They know that sexual attraction inevitably will fade. In America they also know that sexual attraction inevitably will fade, but who cares!! They can dump anytime their companion and get another more attractive sexually. The corruption in America have reached levels unimaginable by men&women of Armenia.

Thousands of supporters of former president Mohammed Morsi took to the streets over the weekend in Alexandria, Suez and other cities, calling for Morsi to be reinstated and urging military leader General Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi to step aside. According to an I.N. Network worker, "David," the protests have put his family at risk: "Every Friday there [is] a big group of the Muslim Brotherhood; they try to come back, and they fight with the army and police. ... They are still creating troubles and problems. The last two months they've gotten very crazy. They want to destroy the country. They attack many churches. More than 80 churches have been burned. Many Christians have been killed." But while the violence has been difficult, David says there is good news: "Churches are united together. And the spirit of prayer is happening in all the churches. People are praying all the time." The response to the violence against burned churches has also been remarkable. Christians posted signs on their burned-out churches that read: "You burned our church, but we love you." "So it's a great message of forgiveness," David says. "This makes many Muslims discover the reality of Christianity, and many of them come to know Jesus. ... Until now, they find difficulty for security reason to join local churches, so they meet underground in a secret way. They worship the Lord together, and they're growing." As Muslims come to Christ, they're uniquely qualified to share the Gospel. "The easiest way to reach Muslims is through converted Muslims," says David. While David isn't praying for more persecution, he's excited about God working. "It's always like this," he says. "When there is pressure over the churches, the Holy Spirit is working and many people are coming to know Jesus as Savior." Two new mass graves containing over 30 bodies in the Christian city of Sadad were recently discovered, evidence of what one archbishop called “the most serious and biggest massacre” of Christians in Syria. The situation for Christians in Syria has been horrific and it seems to be only getting worse as time passes. Indeed, for many Christians around the world, their faith puts them in the line of fire. A report published by Fides on Thursday stated that some 45 Christian civilians, including women and children, were killed by Islamist rebels in Sadad, halfway between Homs and Damascus. The report, which cited the Syrian Orthodox Patriarchate in Damascus, stated that the Christian settlement was invaded and occupied by Islamist militias on Oct. 21, though it was recently recaptured by the Syrian army. “45 innocent civilians were martyred for no reason, and among them several women and children, many thrown into mass graves,” said Archbishop Selwanos Boutros Alnemeh, Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan of Homs and Hama. “Other civilians were threatened and terrorized. 30 were wounded and 10 are still missing.” Much of the city, which had a population of 15,000, was destroyed and looted, eyewitnesses said, according to the Christian Post. Sadad reportedly has roots dating back to 2,000 B.C. and boasts many churches, temples, historic landmarks and archaeological sites, the Christian Post reported. “For one week, 1,500 families were held as hostages and human shields,” Alnemeh said of the siege of Sadad to Fides. “Among them children, the elderly, the young, men and women. Some of them fled on foot travelling 8 km from Sadad to Al-Hafer to find refuge.” The church official said that some 2,500 families fled the city with only their clothes. Gregorios III Laham, the Melkite Greek Catholic patriarch of Antioch and all the East, estimated that over 450,000 of the 1.75-2 million Christians in Syria have fled their homes since 2011, according to the Christian Post. Both Laham and Alnemeh have called for help. “As Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, fell under the weight of the Holy Cross, Simon of Cyrene was fetched to help. We too need a Simon to help bear our cross,” Laham said. Up until two years ago, Laham said that his country Syria was “a beacon of hope for Christians in the Middle East.” He said it acted as a sanctuary for Christians fleeing persecution in neighboring Iraq. Why do you continue to defy the Word of God, argue, reject and fight against the Hand which created you? You are no more informed than those who crucified Me. You have no more knowledge than the Pharisees who believed that their interpretation of the Holy Word of God was superior to that of the Son of man. Because of your refusal to accept the final prophecies, you will deny Me. All your services to Me will mean nothing, for you will follow the one sent by Satan to deny you your rightful inheritance in My Paradise. How you make Me weep. How you will betray Me will be reflected in the persecution which you will bring to bear on those you call your brothers and sisters, in My Name. You will become indoctrinated with lies, as others before you were, by wicked leaders and dictators of the past. The ANTICHRIST part two The apostle John, who was very close to Jesus, wrote to us in his first letter what Jesus told him about the end-times Antichrist who will be an unique antichrist among many antichrists that appeared in the world from Emperor Nero onward, because this Last-Days Antichrist will herald the coming of Jesus, the Day of Jesus Christ, when He will gather His true and real followers into Himself and then destroy this Antichrist. In I John 2:18 we read: " ..just as you heard that Antichrist is coming...". In 1 John 2:22 we see this liar Antichrist will deny that Jesus is the Messiah who came into the world as written in the New Testament and claim he is the true Messiah of the world come as a savior of the world: "Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ the Messiah? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son". And in 4:3 "and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world". When John writes that the spirit of Antichrist is already in the world, he is clearly referring to Satan who has been active in the world since Jesus' ascension into Heaven but this Satan will play his biggest role at the End-Times influencing, directing, and possessing a human being leader in the world who will lie and say he is the real Messiah come to bring the New World Order in the world. Verses are taken from New American Standard Bible (NASB) The apostle Paul, hearing from Jesus, also writes about this Last-Days Antichrist in his two letters to Thessalonians. Paul points to an important event when this Antichrist comes; that of Jesus coming AFTER the Antichrist comes, Jesus comes then to gather His true & real followers into Himself, a miracle to watch for if you believe in Christ. Then after this gathering Jesus will destroy the Antichrist or the false christ who will be claiming to be the true messiah. Paul gives details of this "day of the LordJesus" when real Christian will be gathered into Him in the air (after which, after the gathering, the Antichrist will be destroyed by Jesus). This day, or coming, or gathering of real Christians will come suddenly without warning, just like a thief comes without giving any warning or a woman suddenly gets the labor pains without any warning: 1 Thes 5:2, 3 "For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night" , While they are saying, 'Peace and safety!' then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 "For the LordJesus Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, (and the dead in Christ will rise first). Answer: Apostate Christians will readily accept that the Jesus of the New Testament was a fraud and unsaved Jews already accepted the same lie. The second beast of Revelation 13:11, will likely be a world leader of false Christianity. People will be more likely to follow deception from someone who is the leader of the religion that they already follow, than from someone who isn’t. The false prophet is described as having two horns like a “lamb” because the lamb symbolically represents Christ. He will not choose to look like a goat because he will deceive the world as a lamb wrapped around a goat. Why does Satan have to claim to be the God of the Bible and not just some other god of some other religion? Because he knows full well who the real God is and he knows what Paul said in Romans is absolutely true: That every single person on earth, upon hearing the truth of the God of the Bible instantly knows in his or her heart that He is the real God. “Men… suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse” (Romans 1:18b-19, 20b). Satan knows that the people of the world will not accept any other god as being the real God unless he claims to be the God of the Bible. This is a different concept than that of the world, which rejects the God of the Bible in His true form and character. You see the world knows in their hearts who the real God is. But they choose to reject Him because they hate His Way. Believing God is not the same thing as believing in God. Remember what James said: “Even the demons believe and tremble”. As long as Satan changes the true message of God into his own false message, then the world will believe that he is god. The world hates God’s true message because it calls for humility and the world is proud. The world cannot stand being told what to do so much as they would rather defy God and “call His bluff” on hell rather than accept His free gift out of hell (because that involves humility). The world hates that Jesus said He is the only Way to heaven. The world says that they themselves are the only way to heaven. As the crucifixion of Christ proves, miracles combined with truth, were not enough for the world to accept Jesus as God. As long as Satan combines his miracles with lies, and tells the world that they can still make their own way to heaven, they will accept him as their god. Of course Satan will have other plans for the masses after they swear allegiance to him, but he certainly won’t let them on to that at the beginning. Upon his sudden appearance on the world stage, Antichrist will hook the people by whispering sweet nothings into their ears and they will fall for it. Combine Satan’s sweet talk with the miracles that he will do in their sight and you will have the worldwide worship of the beast. The false prophet (the pope in union with mega-church evangelical pastors) will announce: "Here is your true messiah come! Listen to him and worship him". A new temple, the Tribulation Temple, is going to be the true center of worship. This is referred to as the Temple of the Great Babylon by true Christians, it could be located either in Rome or in Jerusalem. “So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?’” (Revelation 13:4). This false prophet and the Antichrist will twist New Testament verses to the advantage of Satan, they will claim that the New Testament record is nothing more than an interpretation of the events surrounding the false Christ written by those who were deceived by Him. A lie easily told is easily believed by the deceived. This will be the great deception and the lie spoken of by Paul in 2 Thessalonians that those who reject the salvation of Christ will believe. Yet, to the outside world, all will seem to be acceptable to the Church. While you will struggle internally, all exterior rituals, conducted in the name of a global united church, will make you feel uneasy. Within six months of the heresy being introduced into My Church, many who ignored My Call, will flee and seek out those who remained true to My Holy Word. Then My Army will swell, grow and gather the remnants from all Christian churches and fight the spirit of evil. The schism in My Church will be broken into different stages. The first stage will be when only those who truly know Me, and understand the Truth of the Holy Gospels, will decide that they cannot accepts lies in My Name. The second stage will come about when people are denied the Holy Sacraments, as they are meant to be. The third stage will be when My Churches have been desecrated and that will be when My sacred servants will, at last, understand the Truth contained in the Book of Revelation. My prophets do not lie. They do not like what they are asked to do. They reveal only My Holy Word and what they are instructed to do by the Holy Will of My Father. The signs that the last prophet – the only prophet given permission from Heaven today to prepare the world for the Second Coming – has come are here now. All domestic conciliation procedures necessary for its entry into force have to be completed by May next year. This was announced by the leaders of the three countries at the summit held in Minsk. However, the transformation of the Customs Union (CU) into the Eurasian Economic Union still faces many obstacles. The status quo was most actively criticized by the president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. “Participation in the Customs Union has brought more disadvantages than advantages to Kazakhstan,” said Nazarbayev, “and has led to increasing disparity in the trade balance of the country. We still face the same difficulties in the promotion of Kazakh food products on the Russian market; there is no free access to the Russian energy market; there are limited opportunities for electricity transit; the Customs Code of the CU is in need of maximum simplification and liberalization.” The Kazakh leader also spoke out against the rapid expansion of the Customs Union. “First, we need to solve the existing problems, and then deepen the integration and accept new members,” said Nazarbayev. Finally, Nazarbayev proposed discussing Turkey’s and even Syria’s accession to the Eurasian Union. “Whenever I travel to the West, I’m always asked: ‘Are you re-creating the Soviet Union under the guise of the Customs Union?’ So, to avoid such talk, let us admit Turkey. It is a big country, and there will be no more of these discussions,” said the president of Kazakhstan. However, Nazarbayev laid down a condition: All members of the Union must have the same rights, as was the case when creating the European Union. Nazarbayev invited leaders to discuss the prospects of admitting Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. This requirement, Nazarbayev added, applies to Armenia, which has expressed its desire to join the Customs Union. Nazarbayev also mentioned that, after the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union in 2015, the EurAsAC, which duplicates its functions, would cease to exist. “We don’t need this organization. It has to be closed — that is obvious,” said the president of Kazakhstan. Complaints about the functioning of the Customs Union were also expressed by his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko. Trucks will be able to reach markets faster and, equally important, supplies will be able to reach military bases and local government centers promptly. The Goris-Stepanakert route connects south-eastern Armenia with south-central Karabagh, ending in its capital city. It excludes access for both northern Armenia’s border communities and those border towns in Karabagh which, 22 years ago, were delineated as part of the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic. Today, these villages are neighbors with a hostile Azerbaijan, creating a very different security dynamic. An alternative route connecting the two Armenian republics can make all the difference. The Vardenis-Mardakert Highway will link 16 village communities and 3 towns, Vardenis in Armenia and Kharvachar and Mardakert in Karabagh. A projects-within-a-project approach The road from Vardenis in Armenia to Mardakert in Karabagh totals 96.7 kilometers. It covers such varied terrain that there are multiple construction, engineering, and public safety challenges involved. For example, there is a significant stretch of unpaved, dirt-covered road that changes dramatically in width at different intervals and involves as many as 339 sharp turns, 17 of which are serpentine configurations. Other sections have been partially blocked due to landslides or river swells, adding to the hazardous conditions. Finally, new road signage, protective barriers, and other modern standards of road safety must be installed to meet current government regulations. Sure, building roads is gritty and heavy work and doesn’t make for pretty photos,” she said. “Yet the promise for transformative change is golden.” Armenia Fund Telethon 2013: A New Route to Security and Prosperity Building an alternate route between Armenia and Karabagh is the designated campaign theme of the upcoming Armenia Fund’s 16th International Thanksgiving Day Telethon. The goal of this massive public works effort is to turn the roads that currently link a string of strategically important towns in northern Armenia and northern Karabagh into a modern highway system. It is shorter than the main way via Goris by 150 kilometers. The reconstruction of the road, which is now almost impassable, is strategic militarily and economically. While for the residents of Stepanakert who wish to go to Yerevan almost nothing will change in terms of the length of their journey, for residents of Karvachar the trip will be halved. But most importantly, the cost of transporting mining products will be reduced. A large plant is being operated now in the area adjacent to the Karvachar district, in the village of Drmbon. This area is rich in gold and copper. The Base Metal Company, which is engaged in mining, has announced the exploration of new large deposits. The extracted ore is transported to the processing plant in Vardenis (in Armenia, in an area bordering on the NKR’s Karvachar). Now heavy trucks are forced to make a circle through Karabakh and Armenia, although it is only about 100 kilometers from Drmbon to Vardenis in a straight line (now they have to take a journey of more than 500 km). Base Metals is paying for the construction and state funding will also be available later. The company is the largest taxpayer and employer in Karabakh. During the opening of the Drmbon plant 10 years ago, the government spoke about plans of laying a railway line to Vardenis. But economic and political problems hindered those plans. According to Nagorno-Karabakh President Bako Sahakyan, the construction of the road – expected to take about two yeas -- is one of the biggest victories after the proclamation of Nagorno-Karabakh’s independence in 1991. That the NKR government has announced the laying of the road indirectly suggests that political obstacles are overcome. Official Baku has condemned the decision on the construction of the roads and intended to make appeals to international organizations. Azerbaijan also condemns the ongoing Armenian settlement policy, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman Abdullayev said in a statement. Meanwhile, international organizations reacted calmly to plans to build the road in Karabakh, understanding that if people live in some area, then their development and construction of infrastructure are inevitable. Besides, a sort of time-out period is setting in at Karabakh settlement talks. Director of the European Programmes of the International Crisis Group Sabine Freizer said late last week that no progress in the negotiating process to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh problem is expected during the next two years. The good news, she added, is that, accordingly, there is no likelihood of war during the next two years. Georgia’s justice officials say they are not in league with the devil and have no plans to assist the Antichrist to take over the world. In a bizarre public-service announcement, Georgia’s Justice Ministry on April 20 announced that new, biometric ID cards for Georgian citizens are not a satanic creation. “The assumption that the new ID card is the seal of the Antichrist and that it contains the sign of the beast is not correct,” explained an earnest young man in a video produced by the ministry. “Georgia’s Public Registry took upon itself a commitment not to place the number six three times in a row on any of the IDs,” the man elaborated, in reference to the mark, which, according to the Bible's Book of Revelation, will be the mark of a beast which will force worship of another beast. "Nor will it be in the future." But the assurances have not assuaged widespread suspicions. This January, Georgian Orthodox Church faithful gathered in front of the justice ministry to protest against the cards, which, they claim, will help the devil control Georgia and bring on the Antichrist. “The monks have inspected the IDs with ultraviolet rays and they got this horrendous picture,” one female protester (wearing a shirt emblazoned with the message "Party with us") told the news site Netgazeti.ge. She showed a picture of a red devil with "666" inscribed on his forehead and horns sprouting out of his head. Another woman offered additional alleged proof of the approaching apocalypse; a photo of an icon of the Virgin Mary "weeping blood," as she said. In a country where the Church ranks as the single most trusted institution, the state apparently felt it cannot ignore such concerns. Nor are they the concerns of an isolated minority. After priests began speaking of the alleged Antichrist menace, many university-educated, urban professionals also refused to accept the IDs. To solve the dilemma, the state chose instead to engage the Church. At the government’s prodding, top prelates gathered for a conclave and, after some deliberations, the Georgian Orthodox Church's ruling body, the Holy Synod, expressed approval for the IDs so long as they do not contain the devil’s numbers. But that imprimatur failed to stop the campaign. Individual priests continue to wage war against the cards and are rallying their parishes to join the battle. At the same time, government officials -- and, chief among them, Justice Minister Tea Tsulukiani -- are facing criticism for not ignoring such concerns and choosing instead to cater to them by offering explanations. Tsulukiani vowed to do her best to dispel the antichrist fears, but it is unclear how far she’s willing to go to make her case. From the names "Tubal" and "Meshech" we can find the location where the tribes of Magog lived under their king or Gog. It's present day Georgia, "Tubal" is an ancient name for Georgia, and the name of its capital Tbilisi most-likely originated from the word Tubal. As to "Meshech" it looks like a Georgian word, since the nickname of Saakashvili is "Misha". By the way, Togarmah is a descendent of Noah also, through Japheth then Gomer (Gen 10:1-3). The tribe of Togarmah lived in the ancient Armenian city state which was located in south-eastern of modern Turkey. In ancient Assyrian records it was mentioned as Tilgarimmu. Georgia: Divided Opinions on Saakashvili’s Legacy October 28, 2013, by Molly Corso http://www.eurasianet.org/node/67689 Outgoing Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili’s role as a state builder, a revolutionary, and a domineering leader determined to thrust his tiny country outside of Russia’s political orbit is well established. But as his nearly decade-long tenure comes to an end, Georgians are still struggling to define this 45-year-old leader and the mark he has left on Georgia. Some point to the showy building facades that have transformed the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, and the Black-Sea port city of Batumi. Others laud his concession of the 2012 parliamentary elections, which marked the first time in the country’s history an incumbent party (Saakashvili’s United National Movement) gave up power via the ballot box. Still others cite Georgia’s disastrous 2008 war against Russia, which seemingly resulted in the Tbilisi’s permanent loss of breakaway South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Saakashvili himself points to the Radisson Blu, a once derelict, high-rise hotel in downtown Tbilisi that, from 1993 until 2004, housed hundreds of displaced persons from Abkhazia. Pointing to the hotel through his living-room windows during a recent televised tour of the apartment where he will now live, Saakashvili asserted that the most important question is whether Georgia is “a different country than it was 10 years ago.” For the leader of the 2003 Rose Revolution that ended the corrupt, dysfunctional rule of President Eduard Shevardnadze, that question is key. Over nearly the past 10 years, the president -- nicknamed Misha the Builder, a play on Davit the Builder, one of Georgia’s most influential kings -- has sought to tear Georgia, physically and mentally, out of its past. That he has had triumphs is not disputed. Saakashvili established 24-hour electricity as the norm, built badly needed roads and schools and rebuilt towns and parts of cities. Under his watch, the economy grew (average monthly per-capita incomes nearly tripled between 2003 and 2012 to 218.4 laris or $132.36), and foreign tourists and investors arrived (FDI peaked at $673 million in 2011); the country forged closer ties with Europe and the United States, the police became respected, the mafia was routed and state institutions became functional. But Tbilisi State University sociologist Iago Kachkachishvili cautioned that Saakashvili tended to “zig-zag” from good to bad policies; a tendency that makes it difficult for Georgian society to come to terms with his legacy. While his intentions were rooted in a democratic worldview, Saakashvili often appeared to have a low tolerance for dissent, overseeing a sharp uptick in arrests (many related to corruption), a crackdown on the opposition, aggressive government influence over private media outlets and an unhealthy consolidation of ties among business and political interests that enabled corruption on an elite level to continue, even as petty corruption disappeared. Against that backdrop, some Georgian analysts contend that Saakashvili’s legacy might boil down to the contrast between what was achieved and what failed. As Georgia changed “from [a] typical post-Soviet society into a more . . . Westernized society,” argued Vakhtang Lejava, a chief economic advisor from 2009 to 2012 to ex-Prime Minister Nika Gilauri, the government raised the bar for people’s expectations. As Georgians’ expectations for government became higher, so, too, did the standard against which they judged Saakashvili, Lejava continued. “People changed,” he said. “[The UNM] changed the standard ... The bar became much higher. And at some particular parts, the UNM failed to be on that standard,” he said, citing in particular the 2012 scandal over abuse of prisoners. While the president admits that mistakes were made during his administration, he has not elaborated. Saaakashvili himself did not agree to an interview with EurasiaNet.org in time for publication. Giorgi Kandelaki, a senior UNM MP close to Saakashvili, believes that, for all the criticism of his government, the president should be seen as a “transformational leader,” who turned “Georgia into a state that, actually, for all its flaws, worked.” [Editor’s Note: Kandelaki once served as an editorial associate at EurasiaNet.org]. But in a culture of extremes, many Georgians are not likely to make room soon for nuances when it comes to Saakashvili’s record. No matter what events might await him in life after the presidency, Georgians will tend to view Saakashvili through the prism of savior or scoundrel, noted political scientist Gia Nodia, a former education minister under the president. “[it is] either/or. I think it will continue to be the case,” he said. “Maybe some individuals will try to be balanced, but I think that is atypical. For the vast majority of people, he is either a villain or a hero.” Many Georgians charge that the Georgian-Dream-led government is negatively typecasting much of the UNM in that way. Over the past year, many of Saakashvili’s closest allies, including former Prime Minister Vano Merabishvili and former Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaia, along with a score of other senior UNM-era bureaucrats, have gone to prison to await trial on charges of torture, abuse of office, and embezzlement. In addition, Tbilisi Mayor Givi Ugulava, once seen as a likely successor to Saakashvili, faces criminal charges on a separate case, though remains in office. Ivanishvili, who insists that these prosecutions are not politically motivated, also has threatened to bring Saakashvili, whom he terms a “political corpse,” to justice for unspecified crimes he allegedly committed as president. Few would expect the outgoing president to do anything but fight. Since then, Saakashvili, known to friends and foes alike as Misha, has kept storming into places. An indefatigable modernizer, Misha ran around the country, busting corrupt and loafing officials, driving race cars and tractors, opening and closing enterprises, and bulldozing over everything that stood in his way, be it enemies or buildings. And he went about it with his trademark goofy giggles and out-of-control forelock. His outsized personality dominated Georgian politics for a decade, making for what might be called the Age of Misha. To remember this era, we have, with contributions from readers, compiled a list of what might be termed the top-five styles of Misha. Even with a new president to be elected in Georgia's October 27 elections, he will not easily be forgotten. 1. Misha, the Road-Runner: The country has had a hard time keeping up with its hyperactive president, both literally and figuratively speaking. To borrow a line from Lewis Carrol’s Red Queen, it took all the running you could do and more to keep up with the incredibly agile Saakashvili, and it is true both for his rivals and his entourage. When he went barnstorming in the wine-region of Kakheti before the 2008 presidential election, TV crews, advisers and his security detail had to gallop to catch up with Saakashvili, who, dispensing hugs and promises, nearly sprinted though the main town of Telavi. “Keep going!” his then PR-adviser Marika Verulashvili screamed at journalists as she trundled behind, a hand to her chest. 2. Misha, the Frequent-Flyer: An indefatigable jetsetter, Saakashvili has popped up everywhere from New York to Mestia in a lickety-split, pressing the flesh with foreign leaders and local farmers alike. Now the Saakashvili run is screeching to a halt, as he is set to pass on Georgia’s presidency to a slower and less dominating figure; both in terms of personality and constitutional powers. 3. Misha’s Got the Beat: Saakashvili’s rule had a syncopated musical score. His reelection in 2008, which followed rage over a crackdown on protesters, was accompanied by a feel-good campaign soundtrack “Misha’s Awesome”/ (“მიშა მაგარია”). Music hits brought to Georgia by the Saakashvili government, included a United Artists-style ode to Abkhazia, a series of promo musical videos for the police that once even featured children singing and dancing in police uniforms, and many a song by the young talent Sopo Nizharadze of whom the president is said to be a fan. Even when Russian troops invaded in 2008, the Saakashvili government found the time to take a disco-stand against Russian guns. 4. The Not-Safe-for-Work Misha: Apart from the well-known ups and downs of his rule, Saakashvili was also a bit of a cultural misfit in his traditional, conservative country. Jaws dropped when he once leeringly advised juveniles at a youth camp to explore the ample fun opportunities offered by nearby bushes and trees. Rumors of frequent sexual peccadilloes, photos of him hanging out with scantily dressed Russian journalists or embracing a celebrity masseuse Dorothy Stain (Dr. Dot) fed to his reputation of an inveterate philanderer. Vainly did Dr. Dot try to clarify the nature of the relationship. 5. Thus Spoke Misha: Until recently, national TV broadcasts were one long Misha show. Georgians often groaned when Saakashvili misquoted well-known lines by Georgian poets, advised the griping intelligentsia to flush itself down the toilet, jumped or danced in public, chewed on his tie, tripped off a bridge, vowed to build a megapolis in a swamp or offered to mail his private parts to Russia’s Vladimir Putin, who famously offered to hang the annoying Georgian by the parts in question. Such exchanges with Putin caused lots of domestic commentary on allegedly Freudian undertones in the two men’s feud. And then there was, of course, the Misha laugh, an unforgettably liberated and high-pitched giggle. Love him or hate him, Georgia is undeniably a very different place today than the dysfunctional, semi-mafioso state that it was when Saakashvili burst into parliament on that November day in 2003. Georgians may pass a more clinically detached verdict on Saakashvili’s rule after time passes and they can look at his era within its historic context. In the meantime, Saakashvili is getting ready to move out of his office in Georgia’s glimmering glass-dome presidential palace and into a humble apartment in downtown Tbilisi. Following an October 30 report by Swedish public radio, Ericsson told Agence France Presse (AFP) that it had sold phone-surveillance technology to Georgia’s Geocell, a privately owned cellular operator, back in 2005. The company maintained, however, that the equipment was meant as an anti-crime tool, though acknowledged that the Georgian government "allegedly use it" for illegal wiretapping. Publicizing tapped private conversations has been a tried political weapon in Georgia. In the heyday of outgoing President Mikheil Saakashvili's era, everytime the political temperature went up, secretly recorded conversation were dumped online or aired on TV. In 2007, when police clashed with protesters in Tbilisi, tapped phone calls became a soundtrack to the authorities’ claims about a Kremlin-orchestrated conspiracy to bring down Georgia's pro-Western government. A new season of audio revelations began last year, when President Saakashvili’s government faced a challenge from then-opposition leader Bidzina Ivanishvili over conversations posted online that featured members of Ivanishvili’s Georgian Dream coalition members badmouthing both their leader and each other. Police then also released recordings of conversations allegedly linking some Georgian Dream members to the mafia. Both rights groups within Georgia and Western diplomats repeatedly have raised the issue of illegal wiretapping. But to what degree the situation has changed under the new government of Bidzina Ivanishvili is unclear. The Georgian chapter of the anti-corruption watchdog Transparency International* said in May this year that the interior ministry had installed black boxes “in the server infrastructure of all major telecommunication companies." The boxes permit " law enforcement bodies and security services to monitor all communication passing through the infrastructure, including text messages, internet and phone calls," the watchdog charged. The group called on the authorities to remove the black boxes and ensure the period of uncontrolled wiretapping is over. To what degree the Georgian authorities have heeded this call is not yet known. In their comments to AFP, Ericsson and Geocell passed the buck to the Georgian government, but Amnesty International argued that the companies could share the responsibility for cases of illegal eavesdropping. It is not the first instance of a Swedish company appearing in a Caucasus eavesdropping controversy. In 2012, Swedish public television charged that the Swedish-Finish TeliaSonera, the majority-owner of Geocell, had helped the government of Azerbaijan, Georgia's neighbor, to spy on its citizens by granting the government access to systems at Azercell, a TeliaSonera filial. As did Ericsson on Georgia, TeliaSonera (in comments to Slate) put it down to "fighting crime."
