Drinking is not a sin, drunkeness is a sin because it is an altered state of how God made you. Having a beer is fine, my church sells it at its Armenian Festivals. The Armenian Church also uses wine during Communion. Christ's first miracle was making wine from water.

I think God will forgive those who are denied the opportunity to accept Jesus (culture conflict, lack of understanding, etc.). The Bible leaves some latitude for this.

Only decent hokis song is Genocide, and since I grabbed it off of Napster, I'm not helping them out.

Whoever sings the opening to that song 'overprotective dad' needs to be shot. That's just my opinion.

By your logic then, the conflict was only between the Armenians of Artsakh and the RoAzerbaijan. Since Artsakh declared independence and Azerbaijan invaded its sovereign territory, this was an act of war. Thus, Azerbaijan should know it lost the war.

MJ- Don't say 'us', you and I didn't fight, out of respect for those who did fight, I have now begun to refrain from saying 'us' (as of yesterday). 6 years does not equal one battle. It was war, and it was won by the Armenians. If a war can last only 6 days, then 6 years is definitely a war. If the Azeris think that it 'was only a battle' then let them come again, they were routed last time, and this time the Diaspora will be much more aware. Azerbaijan can't win. The Azeris are in no position to start a new mission of conquest.

All this common state BS is is another word for autonomy. "Broad deal of autonomy" as Aliyev liked to put it. This 'deal' is BS and one-sided. The brave soldiers didn't give their lives to have Artsakh remain within the boundaries of Azerbaijan. A war was fought. The soldiers of Artsakh routed Azerbaijan. Why can't the Azeris deal with this?

It disgusts the hell out of me. When I was last in California ('97), my uncle in Glendale had a caretaker. She was an illegal immigrant, who had to leave her kids behind because her husband beat her and threatened to kill her if she ever came back.

Tough choice. I've seen many beautiful Arabic, Serbian, and Russian women I'd like to..... For real though, Coptic Arabic, Assyrian, Russian, Greek, or Serb.

I was born in Milwaukee, Great Gramps moved the family to Chicago in, oh, 1908 or so.... but still, they moved away. They DID move away from Fresno though, so it may be all for the better...

There was a war. Armenia won. Azerbaijan lost. Azerbaijan lost something that was never really Azeri. What's all the fuss about?
