DominO123
I'll do it! I'll join Domino, help, what should I do? style_images/master/snapback.png http://hyeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=10207 The first post is enough to know the basic of how to do it. Read that post, as I will be just retyping what is writen there. Don't do the same mistake as Extra, forgetting to enter the team number. BTW, for the member name, enter your HyeForum user name, without it I can't track your folding units to give you the key. Thanks Anoushik, you're showing MosJan that all the trouble I placed him in really worthed it.
DominO123
What motivates me to join is to find out that there are such teams as "Folding@Malaysia" I just hope that I'll be able to contribute something knowing that I'm not at home most of the day and my computer is shut off. style_images/master/snapback.png Will be a good idea to leave your computer on at least for 2 WU, because this way you have your key sooner. Anoushik
Domino, should I install the "graphical client" or the "screensaver" version? (Have I told you I have no knowledge about computers? I think mine is Windows 98, that's all I know and also, I'm using Firefox, so what should I download?) Anoushik
Domino, have I done something wrong? How come I don't see my name in the Hyeforum Team's statistics? Also, the program has been running all day since I installed it and so far I only have 3% completed. And, my WU statistics don't have as much information as Vava's (when he posted in the second page of this thread).

As for the speed, assuming that you have the graphical version... go to the taskbar, point your mouse on the folding icon, press your right mouse button, select configure, go to the "Advanced" page. There you can change the Core Priority to "Slightly higher." You should gain a little of speed in this one. Another thing, for some reasons the folding could be slow to start. Twilight Bark
TB, bring your project at the Pandora Box, HyeForum members projects will be discussed at the HyeForum Secret Pandorian "Mystical" Society. And now that you became a Pandorian use your Key to access the Society. I didn't thought that I will be able to convince you. style_images/master/snapback.png Well, it's not that I am convinved. It's in the "what the heck, it's harmless enough, let's see where it goes" department. It seems rather unlikely that you can gather the 120 or so CPUs to have a chance to get into the top 100 high-visibility groups. Anyway, I would like to support any Armenian activity that goes beyond the mundane and is concerned with "higher" and non-utilitarian concepts, be it a reasoned assessment of the universe or contributing to science just for the heck of it. We have barely survived either because or in spite of our endorsement of the mundane and the practical to the almost-complete exclusion of intellectual risk-taking. However, if we are to thrive in the future, we need to integrate a good dose of intellectual adventure and simple altruism into our culture and identity. So the apparent paradox is that a certain amount of non-utilitarian strain of of thought has tremendous utilitarian value collectively. See the thread http://hyeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=4623 As for what I proposed, there seems to be a deafening silence, implying a resounding vote of NO. That's alright. Perhaps somebody somehere else will initiate it some other time. I am sure stranger things have happened. Bye for now. I'll keep the folding thing running on a few PCs for now, and 1-2 in the long term. Good luck.

Anoushik
Domino, when I first turn on the computer I don't have to click on that program to run, right? It'll work by itself even if I don't see it on the screen, correct? Edited November 23, 2004 by anoushik

If you're unsure see if it is loaded in the taskbar. BTW, TB. We will get the over a hundred users it takes, and we will be in the FIRST position. DominO123
I wonder how easy will it be to convince Armenian schools to install it, and use the folding screen saver when the computer is in that mode.
Anoushik
Domino, since I've been home all day I decided to leave my computer on all day too, to catch up folding. It's been running for 8 hours. However, the progress has only been 3%. Is this normal? Is my computer too slow? Have I downloaded the wrong program? What should I do? vava
Do you have the same problem with the graphical client? style_images/master/snapback.png Well, i didn't like the graphical client.... the console is the only one I've actually used - and i didn't initally have any problems with it, but i changed a few things recently and I think there may have been some sort of conflict - so i figure by re-installing the client, it should go back to normal. I,m taking my machine off-line for a week or so, but I'll start folding again soon. Anoushig, it's perfectly normal - some WU's take a long time to fold.
