The other day, it was about 2 am, I could not sleep, so i decided to walk outside a little bit. I saw a light, a man came out from it, he was all dressed in white. He told me he was a god and that he created and was simulating 2.3% of the universe in our multiverse. He also told me that hw was in the system, kind of like the way people who were liberated from the Matrix were reentering in the system in the movie. It just happened that I had a pocket bible with me. Don't ask me how, I could not figure it myself...

Classic Domino :P

No need to sympathise with men ... it takes less than 5 minutes a day to regulate our cycles :) I think that's why God invented Internet and all the "free cycle regulating" it brings for us men.

Sip, really, from the spitting story to this, I think the last thing you need after these two posts is more "cycling." Seriously, if I wouldn't know any better I would say that you are a teenager just going through your puberty.

that's a really great point but this kind of thinking will "fly" in the Western millieu, now try arguing the same amongst Armenians...sexuality is a supressed subject (not as bad as in some others cultures), nonetheless female sexuality is even more suppressed. Otherwise, I am 100% with you.

Well I don't know about Western, but certainly not Eastern. I mean this is not a result of some feminist awakening it's from my observation and experience, and logically it makes more sense the more you understand human anatomy. I am glad you feel the same by the way, not many women ever think about it, which I find extremely strange.

Agreed. As a 'progressive' Armenian male, I couldn't care less if my lover is a virgin or not. But many men have want it both ways. They like to have lots of sex with many women before marriage - but then they turn around and expect virginity upon marriage. It simply can't happen that way - there won't be enough virgins!

Oh vavulik, you hit it on the nail! Absolutely, it's more about laziness combined with arrogance. Some men believe that since they had so many partners they must be champions, thus they don't try hard because they believe they have obtained a "UNIVERSAL METHOD" or a "Sex template," that it should work for everyone. See, I think it's all about the sexual education that is given, for example, it is generally accepted and expected that a man should gain experience to satisfy his wife. No one really talks about the quality of the performance rather than quantity. If more men wore told that it's not as important to accumulate the numbers but rather to obtain favorable ratings from only a few good judges, relationships would be a little bit more successful.

To support this theory I have to mention something that an Armenian friend of mine once shared with me. He is about 35 now I think. He told me that in Armenia at that time the more common initiation of a man into the adulthood was to take him to the outskirts of Armenia to an older woman that knows her craft. Wouldn't that be a logical progression? A woman should teach a man about the ways of pleasing her and his future companion, not the other way around, and not necessarily in a “dirty way” when it’s hidden and frowned upon. Thank God that this virginity thing is still predominantly present in the East, it’s a dying concept in the West.

yeah they're ashamed....

also it's none of the parents' business whether the girl is a virgin or not...they're not the ones sleeping with her!

no sex before marriage...sounds a bit corny :P lol

not many people save it anymore...

True parents should not worry about the girl's virginity but think of it this way and see if it makes sence. if you are one of those who thinks he/she doesn't wanna sleep with someone who had shared that part with another person besides you then you should look for someone the same kind. and i guarantee you that many many guys think they can have sex but not their girls. and they are somewhat hipicrots if i spelled it right. but if you do think that your future partner should not have shared his/her part with another person besides you then you should consider doing the same. but if you dont' care about your partner sharing it with someone else then feel free to do it and not worry about what parents think because you can hide it from parents but not from your partner with whome you'll live the rest of your life.

WOW! joxovurd jan! just 2-3 days away, and already so many replies to this topic!! first i thought maybe i should come back another day to read all, but couldn't stand the temptation :P

Yes, this thread put a huge smile on my face too :)

Well answered, Armen! The first thing that came to my mind about that question (about God, remember?) was: "HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING" :D

I also think, that God and Christianity, no matter how much they try, and no matter how much they ARE ectually involved, still have nothing to do with our choices for love and sex.

and, WE ARE NOT SINNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i want to kill everyone, who says "man (meaning women too, of course ;) ) are sinners..." bla bla bla and guess who i hear it most from??? MY MOTHER-IN-LAW !!!!!!!!!! :D

Anahit, each one of us knows very well deep in heart which are his/her sins. I don't have to blame you or lecture you. You know your sins. The fact that you're not sincere and you hide your fears under a mask does not change anything. All of us have imperfections, faults and sins. The sin of having sex is not equal sin for eveyone. Sins have different value for each one of us. Sin is always something out of limits and not something people do for normal emotional cognition or satisfaction. You might ask what is "normal"? I say, we always know what is "normal" for us. And we always know when we have sinned.

As a Good christian, you should respect other people's belief (or non-belief) and not treat them or talk to them in a superior tone as if you have THE knowledge.. Don't make judgments on others.

Respect is the key word ;)

Well, if you did not realise, there is denial in the post which I quoted. Unless, you also believe we are SINLESS.

There is NO judgement here. And I have great respect for everyone here.

No, Seb; you are right. We are all sinners and we can all do wrong; and the key is to be close to the Lord and to God always, as we'll be better off that way and we will experience more peace when we are with Him.

There is NO judgement here. And I have great respect for everyone here.

Oooohhhhhhh!!!! That's nice!!!! :)

100% agree. As a female I can assure you that quantity does not really matter. Most Armenian men think that they're the best just because they had multiple partners. I can also add that a lot of Armenian men do not know much about females anatomy. They think that our bodies function the same way as their bodies. They should realize that if it takes them few minutes to get the job done (satisfy themselves) it does not take few minutes to satisfy females. Most Armenian men are very selfish when it comes to sex. They only care about their satisfaction and I think that it all comes down to our male dominated culture.

People put too much emphsis on sex. I noticed that some people here explain human sexuality with quotes from the Bible :) I find that hilarious! The Bible has nothing to do with our needs (the way humans are programmed) and our sexuality. If so many people find that having sex before marriage is such a bad idea then when they shouldn't have sex at all.

If I'm judged by a guy for my preference of not wanting to stay a virgin then I could care less about such a guy. If he does not care more about my personality, looks, and what kind of a human being I am in general then I don't need a shallow "man" like that in my life at all.

I don't owe my future husband whom I haven't even met yet anything at all. He has no right to judge the choices that I made way before meeting him. I can never understand why some Armenian women save themselves for that special occasion. By the time they reach the age of 30 and still find themselves not married they start thinking how foolish that is not only for their own health but also how absurd it seems.

How many women would feel proud to be 30+ years old and still a virgin?
