THANK YOU. I agree with almost everything you said, TurkeyGuilty. Have you got another name? We feel awkward calling you that!

But can I also agree with the "rambo" comparison?

Well, I think love can be responsible for so much, making problems of mixed marriages look tiny in comaprison. There was a story of a couple a little while back (told on the armenia-diaspora forum by the way) of a Armenian-Turkish couple that married and went to live in Armenia. But they fear for their saftey over there now I vicimising people because of those reasons is so incredibly sad.

Alright, "Sadanna", (what does that mean?) have you still got the picture?

Sorry Filiz, I notice your name in the armenia-diaspora forum. You still go there anymore, since anna****edupfrankenstein, it's gone totally down. I think she must be:

- a repressed nymphomaniac and that is the only way she can vent her frustrations?

OK, this was a topic brought up before. Sadanna says although he has no hatred for turks he would not consider marrying one, I say I would not consider , as yet, but I do not know what would happen in the future. Many previous members say they would never consider marrying an odar and all armenians should stick to armenians(funny enough, many people holdling this veiw were half-caste themselves) this opinion was very strict in this forum a few months ago, but the opinion has changed considerably. Even if fewer people feel that way they do not even mention it. So just to re-cap- which nationality do you fancy the most? and would you marry a person that you wanted regardless of it? Do not forget that people change their minds. They have a certian "type" in their minds then it goes out of the window when they meet somebody they really like, completley different from it.

Hi Kazza

My name is Jenny, and Sadanna means 'devil.'

LOL. You may agree with the Rambo comparison. I am very proud that they caricatured me that way, because I made every effort to educate them about the Armenian culture. It was difficult being one of maybe 20 Armenians, who themselves were "underground." So, Rambo was a good image.

I have seen that a person can choose who they like, fall in love with, and grow to love.

If a person concludes that dating and eventually marrying an Armenian is the best route for them (which I have), every other nationality will be "just a friend."

Granted, two people can feel physically attracted to each other, regardless of nationality/ethnicity/race. How they choose to deal with that is up to them.

As for me, I am waiting for the right Armenian guy, because someone as "Hye" as I am can only be with another Hye.

Thanks, "rambo"

I like your reply.

damn,I was going to type a list of "types" right here but I guess the forum might see that as "not fussy"! I am fussy for personality. The only thing I care about is that he is a good person. He has to be sweet too, like honey to the bee I could only get on with a guy that stimulates me by the mind, and I need someone that challenges me too, I couldn't have anything else.

I also agree that we actually condition ourselves to subconsciously choose. That is the reason why we do not fall in love iwth and marry people if there is a huge difference in age. Still, I do not understand this "Armenians only" thing... My younger maternal uncle restricted himself to Circassians and opted for one because they are/were good home-makers. But their marriage is not happy, I think. They are more like business partners. That sucks.

I do not see how you can think that the one person you will share the most interests with, enjoy spending time with, etc., can be Armenian and Armenian only. A great and wonderful person can be from any nationality and/or ethnicity. I think your real friend-for-life has got to be your best friend, and I also think that the line there is very thin - if you are OK with friends, then why not with people you date and/or fall in love with?

I think for some, for example, feel very armenian, and to them finding an armenian partner is like sharing that very common interest. I am postive that If I ever have children they are going to turn out half-something or a quater something because in all honesty I don't feel very greek half the time and I don't hang around with a lot of greek people. My dad is half greek in blood but feels VERY greek. he's very into it all and ALL the people he ever hangs around with are greek and has only dated greek women. I can't understand him.

Snotty Anny is a he. He also used the nick: I Smash Azeris. I thought he was a teen. That turns out not to be so.
You are right about their despair, though... One thing I noticed is that he avoids me. Or so it seems to me... Can't quite know... I must have floored him, burnt him into the ground, sometime... (Let's see if they are out there, reading this, and then get ready to go after me... LOL...) It is because I finally might have refuted the "I have the right to say what I want because of what the Turks did to my people" - though I do not remember it. (Not bragging - hardly a feat but rather the manifestation of an obsessive twitch of mine.) We'll see.

here's why i think that no armenian should consider getting into serious relatonship with a turk. i have talked to a turk over an icq he seemed wery unharmful. but no matter how harmless he seemed i'd never even trust him or her with anything. the only reason i talked to him was because i wanted to see his opinions

I wonder!? What do you think...:
---------------------------------------------
1. There is a person( or nationality) without home (or country) you collect them together at your house at you home with your family , give them to eat supply evrything,... And when you are away they kill your children and f... your wife! And when you are back you see that they say :"This home is our evrything is our ..."!?
Question:
What do you think about these people?
---------------------------------------------
2. You want the things that are "YOURS"!
Question:
Do you think that that type of people will return "YOURS" to you in a sielecy?

The Waves

==========

One moment you have shortage. . .

The next you have excess. . .

One day you have nothing to do. . .

The next you don't have time to get it all done. . .

One day the refrigerator is empty and you are hungry. . .

The next you have a half eaten meal in front of you and you are

stuffed. . .

One month you've got money to spare and you wonder what to buy

The next you've got a bounced check. . .

One moment you are full of energy and can't go to sleep. . .

The next you are drained and can't get up. . .

One day you are the center of attention. . .

The next you wonder if anyone knows you are alive. . .

It's the waves of life.

They carry us up and down and all around.

Money, friends, your body, your

relationships, your job, and the

rest of the list, they all vary. They all go in waves.

It took me a while to really understand the statement,

"The Kingdom of Heaven is Within."

No commercial can show you that.

Commercials make you believe it's in the jazzy new car or the

big screen TV. Yes, those things can thrill you for a moment,

but it's only a wave. After a little while, the thrill is gone.

I have always recognized that if money and things brought happiness,

then all rich people with things would be happy.

It ain't so.

We easily see how poverty can cause unhappiness, but we are

deluded into believing that money solves all things.

Life is full of stuff. I wouldn't trade my life with anyone,

it's one of the most blessed that I know, but it's still full of

stuff. One thing after another, one challenge after another,

one situation after another, day by day, never-ending . . .

It's the waves and there is no stopping them from the outside.

You can only calm the inside, so that like a submarine, you ride

deep beneath the waves.

Though a storm is raging, you are at peace.

Most are tossed and turned by waves.

Some like the sub, ride deep beneath the daily storms in peace.

Some simply surf the waves and have a lot of fun.

Some drown.

You can't stop the waves; it's the nature of the ocean of life.

You can only choose which method you will use to handle them.

You can be tossed like most.

You can drown like many.

You can surf and have fun while you can, but even a surfer gets

tired and there's nowhere to sleep on a surfboard.

To ride comfortably beneath the waves requires a ship containing

breath that is not our own.

That ship. . .

. . . is not crowded.

Peace - Be Still
