lady of grace
Outdoorgirl Junior Member Member # 957 posted February 13, 2003 10:00 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------------From the comments posted in this forum, I noted that many forum members have extreme looks on life; some of them are way too conservative, the others too open-minded. Concerning the topic above, I’d like to say that I am afraid that we’re gonna lose pretty soon the sense of “family”. Sweety, I think you are reading too many articles and books about child psychology. I don’t know if you’ve been in LA? It’s a jungle! Morals and values are totally ignored. Darling, you are concern about a child’s psychology and discipline with troubled heterosexual parents that argue, then on the other hand commenting that homos raise kids in a peaceful environment? That’s messed-up. Wow, so healthy for the kid to say I have two dads/moms and they are so happy! Sorry!

Sorry! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi Lady of Grace. Hun, I don’t say that homosexual parents are the best; I meant that a loving homosexual couple could give more love and care to a child than the families you mentioned above, ok? In fact, recently researchers hold a meta-analysis in order to find an answer to the question “Should the sexual orientation of the parent play a part in the determination of custody or visitation in order to protect the child? “ The analysis included examination of parenting practices, emotional well-being of the child as well as the sexual orientation of the child. Results demonstrate no differences on any measures between the heterosexual and homosexual parents or children of those parents. Of course, only healthy heterosexual families can provide ideal parenting for the child but in some cases, I guess homosexual parents do a better job. Never read any books about child psychology, but I think it’s not a secret that child’s mind is very fragile and parents influence a lot in shaping it. Azat
Sireli Bruin, I completely disagree with that lifestyle. And I am not that open minded or anything. But I will never tell anyone that "OV VOR KEZ HET AMUSNANA SHAT ANBAXT EV MEXK MARD KLINI". That is a dumb thing to say. And I think it is not like Sip was saying that he personally believes in that lifestyle. He just said that they are adults and can do what they wish. Anyways. sorry I am having a bad day all of a sudden.

I was hoping that at least if I ever get married, it'll be to a woman (i.e. anbaxt kin) But Azat got it right. I personally would never get involved with that kind of a "relationship" (not that I could do it even if I wanted to ). But I have no problem if someone wants to (and can) live their life that way, as long as both couples agree and as long as they provide a loving, caring, and supporting atmosphere for the kids to grow up (i.e. no orgies every night at home). I just don't think in this day and age, couples having sex with other couples is going to "ruin" the kids. What will ruin the kids are couples that fight, couples that distrust each other, couples that put themselves above their kids, and of course couples that split up. Varduhi
thanks hyebruin. Seaphen if you don’t think it's the right thing to do then how can you agree with it? FYI there was a reason why I said MARD instead of Kin@t. Seaphen so you’re saying that there is nothing wrong with killing as long as we are adults? loooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

And do you know about minding one's own business? And can you tell the difference between taking responsibility for your own actions within the scope of personal liberties and actually harming someone else, infringing against THEIR rights? Are you a religious evangelist, too? If you don't find their religious beliefs in compliance with your own (as in "right"), how can you let those people go, duh! Actually, most traditional marriage "oaths" that are taken in Armenian ceremonies for example, do seem to make this an explicit condition of the marriage. Of course they also sound to me like they make the female a property of the male if you pay close attention, but let's ignore that one for now. But what is more important in the end ... sticking blindly to rules, regulations, values, and morals or having an open, supporting, "mutual", HAPPY relationship? Of course I am NOT an expert in any of the above and I do agree that there is a fine line between sexual pleasure and just perversion but in my opinion, that is up to the adult couple to decide and not the ancient scriptures Oh and while we are on the topic of perversion, did any of you know having any sort of anal sex is against the law in Georgia (state)? I just found this out recently!!! Some lady actually sued her husband a while back and he got thrown in jail for that, even though the act was completely consentual on both sides. The irony of this whole thing I thought was, he will probably be experiencing a whole lot of that same type of "activity" in prision which got him there to begin with

hyebruin
forgot this one!...and if the oath in the armenian marriage ceremonies is perceived as making women the "property" of their husbands... I have nooooo problem with that as long as I know my husband is being truthful and faithful to me JUST AS I AM being to him...I define that as sharing the love two people have and do not think it is anything stifling or belitteling to women...(unless you're an unfortuante taliban wife!) ...that's bad! So as long as your husband is "truthful" and "faithful", you don't have a problem with being assigned as his property to him? You don't think that's a bit belitteling? I'm speechless! The version which I remember hearing at some wedding a few years ago asked the wife if she would "obey" her man and something about being "hnazand" but there were NO such words used for the husband. That I found very belitteling. Fortunately, not all seremonies are like this anymore. I see that some more "intelligent" priests are changing some of the words around and making it more PC. However, I do have an interest in preventing pollution, no mercy! At any rate, how people manage their own marriages or their own lives is none of YOUR business for you to make subjective comments (of which the racist sort as well are one of) about, "crap" being one of them. Subjective comments are NOT input like we're investing in here to gain feedback. I did not ask stupid questions and they're certainly not stupid because you say so. They're too difficult for a biased, bigoted person to face. Why not just introduce yourself as such and save us the time? "Hi, I'm Varduhi, muh frenz call me Varduhi, I'm biased and bigoted!" looooooooooool or what. That also goes for the rest of the lot like her.
