SECOND PLANELOAD OF SUPPLIES ARRIVES IN ALEPPO

asbarez

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012

Syrian Airlines delivered the recent planeload of supplies

YEREVAN-A second flight carrying relief supplies for crisis-ravaged

Syria left Armenia on Tuesday evening aboard a Syrian Airlines flight

headed to Aleppo via Iran and Iraq.

This flight is also part of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-led

"Help Your Brother" campaign, which successfully delivered the first

shipment of humanitarian supplies last week.

Chairwoman of the Hamazkayin Cultural Association and ARF member

Lilit Galstyan who is administering this effort said that the current

shipment came it at 45 metric tons of supplies, adding that the

fundraising efforts were still ongoing.

"I must add that business circles have also actively participated in

our campaign. Few days ago we received 3000 boxes of canned vegetables

from the Proshyan Brandy Factory. An important contribution was

made by the Civilitas Foundation in amount of 3 million drams,"

said Galstian adding that famous artists such as Azat Gasparyan,

Haghtanak Shahumyan, Andranik Harutyunyan had also contributed to the

"Help Your Brother" effort.

French-Armenian writer Movses Bchakdjian, who is on a book tour in

Armenia, contributed the proceeds of his book sale to the effort.

Other financial contributions came from Dino-Gold Mining Company

(1 million drams) and Avesta Company (100,000 drams).

"We have the moral objective, which unites us. As long as

our Syrian-Armenian brothers and sisters are in need, it is

our responsibility to help them." said Galstian, who added that

Syrian-Armenian families that have settled in Armenia are also slated

to receive assistance from the "Help Your Brother" campaign.

RUBEN SAFRASTYAN: THE WEST FAILS TO OVERTHROW ASSAD'S REGIME

Anna Nazaryan

"Radiolur"

18:31 23.10.2012

"Attempts are being made to move the Syria events to Lebanon,"

Director of the Oriental Studies Institute of the National academy

of Sciences Ruben Safrastyan told a press conference today. However,

the terrorist acts committed in Lebanon a few days ago did not expand

thanks to the Lebanese army.

According to Ruben Safrastyan, one should not forget, however, that

some zones in the north of Lebanon are outside the control of the

Lebanese authorities and the camps of Syrian rebels are deployed there.

The West fails to succeed in Syria and overthrow Assad's regime, the

calculations of the West and Turkey turned out wrong. Syrians do not

divide, while the opposition mostly consists of foreign militants,

who aim to commit jihad in Syria.

The West also aims to cause disruption among the elite in Iran, and

the accusations of possessing nuclear weapons are just a good reason,

according to Safrastyan. The research centers in the West have found

out that Iran is still enriching uranium and the process will come

to an end in May-June, 2013.

Expert says Armenians’ killings in Syria not accidental

http://media.pn.am/media/issue/129/096/photo/129096.jpg

October 24, 2012 - 20:33 AMT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Killings of Armenians in Syria bear no accidental nature, political analyst

Sergey Shakaryants noted mercenaries from pro-U.S. Arab countries behind the killings, stressing the need for the community’s unification to prevent the crime.

“The Armenian community should have long ago stated that its territory is under strict control. We must threaten everyone who dares enter Armenian districts. And of course, that must be coordinated with the local authorities,” the expert said, deeming it feasible, given Syrian Armenians’ strong will.

I am glad the women whose fathers, sons and brothers are being murdered by those sons of dogs, agents of turkey and saudia, are speaking up and glglotsing, kissing and hugging their boys. More power to our mothers, sisters and daughters! Listen to Helen Reddy song- I Am Woman Hear Me Roar.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUBnxqEVKlk

About time they tell those dogs to go back to wherever the hell they come from.

Ten years ago we claimed we had eradicated al-qaida in Iraq. See where they are now.

Those SSO s . 18 of the 19 of 9/11 terrorism in NY were Saudis.

I am waiting for the day to see this so called "revolution" move to those dictatorships, who have been oppressing their citizens for over 100 years. So called kingdoms democracies ? like Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and.. and ... Saudia.

Syrian Truth l Press TV l US keeps nearly 70 nuclear bombs in southern Turkey: Report

Oct 28,2012

A report says the United States keeps about 70 B61 nuclear bombs at a military base in southern Turkey.

According to a recent report published by the Arabic Nakhel news agency, Turkish sources said the bombs are kept at Turkey’s Incirlik Air Base in Adana province.

The thermonuclear bomb, which is 3.53 meters long and weighs 320 kilograms, is considered as one of the most strategic weapons of the US.

Between 10 to 20 of the bombs were stored at Turkey’s Balikesir and Ekinci airbases before they were transferred to Incirlik, the report said.

Turkey is also home to a controversial NATO radar base manned by US forces, which is part of a larger US-led missile system.

The missile system became operational in Turkey’s eastern province of Malatya in early 2012.

Some leading Turkish politicians and lawmakers have cautioned that the system will not be beneficial to Turkey and will only serve the interests of the Israeli regime.

The stationing of the US-sponsored radar system in Turkey was hailed by American officials as the most significant military cooperation between Washington and Ankara since 2003, when Turkey refused to allow a US armored division to cross Turkish territory to join the military invasion of Iraq from the north.

18:58 - 27.10.12

The Syrian-Armenian Relief Coordination Center held on Friday its

presentation ceremony at the Arno Babajanyan concert hall.

According to a press release by the Ministry of Diaspora, the NGO was

launched on October 15 upon the initiative of several Syrian-Armenian

Syrian Truth l Fars News Agency l Report: Little Syrian Girls Sold to Saudi, Qatari Sheikhs

28-10-2012

News reports from Syria warned of increasing danger against Syrian women and girls, saying that little girls who lived in refugee camps near the borders with Jordan are taken to Jordan by human traffickers and then sold to Saudi and Qatari sheikhs.

Based on the reports released by Arab Times news website, the traffickers select their victims from the little girls residing in Syria's bordering areas and then ferry them across the border with Jordan and sell them to Saudi and Qatari sheikhs.

According to Jordan's marriage registration office, during the first half of the current year 189 official marriages and 270 unofficial marriages with the Syrian girls have been registered. A number of 114 non-Jordanian nationals have married these Syrian girls during the period.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.

Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes. The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey along with the US, have been supporting terrorists and rebel groups in Syria and have practically brought a UN peace initiative into failure to bring President Assad's government into collapse.

Syrian Truth l Daily News l Origin of Syrian shells into Turkey unclear, US general says

28-10-2012

It is not clear who is shooting shells from Syria into Turkey, the commander of the U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army, Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling has said, private television channel NTV yesterday.

"We are not sure if these shells are from the Syrian army, from rebels who want to get Turkey involved in the issue or from the PKK [Kurdish Workers’ Party]," he said.

Neither NATO nor U.S. troops want to get involved in the increasingly complex Syrian issue, Hertling said, adding that they were presently only sharing intelligence with Turkey and observing the ongoing events in Syria.

A shell from Syria killed five Turkish civilians in the border town of Akçakale in the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa on Oct. 3.

BURNT ARMENIAN CHURCH IN ALEPPO WILL NOT BE RESTORED SOON - REPRESENTATIVE

news.am

October 30, 2012 | 12:24

ALEPPO. - The Sourp Kevork (Saint George) Armenian Church, which was

burned down in Aleppo's Armenian populated Nor Kyugh (New Village)

district, will not be restored soon because there are constant fights

in the area, Press Secretary Jirair Reisian of the National Primacy

of Aleppo of the Armenian Apostolic Church told Armenian News-NEWS.am,

and he added that the Armenians had left the troubled district a long

time ago.

"News was received, several times ago, about the church being set on

fire, but it was denied later. Aside from the church, a considerable

damage is caused to the neighboring Mesrobian College. At present,

the district is deserted," Reisian said.

To note, the Syrian rebels organized a terrorist attack Monday in

Jaramana city in the greater Damascus metropolitan area and, as a

result of the explosion, two Armenians-Rana Salhap Kaladjian and Rana

Nanouf Mehmedjian-likewise were killed. An Armenian, by the name of

Anoush Apovian, was injured, but, after being administered first aid,

she was discharged from hospital.
