Syrian Human Rights Network: Funders of Istanbul and Qatar Opposition Conferences Should Be Penalized

Nov 09, 2012

DAMASCUS, (SANA)- The Syrian Human Rights Network demanded that the international community and its institutions condemn and penalize the countries funding, supporting and sponsoring the conferences of the opposition of Istanbul and Qatar.

The Network considered in a statement what these countries are doing as a violation of the Security Council Resolution No. 1373, saying that those countries have worked since the beginning of the crisis in Syria to back terrorism and aggravate the shedding of the Syrian blood.

"The only real components of the opposition of Istanbul and Qatar are the armed terrorist groups of al-Qaeda, Jabhat al-Nusra and the salafis, 'jihadis' and takfiris that have been wanted by the international community since September 11th events," the Network added.

It described the conferences of 'Istanbul opposition' abroad as "false" and being run in the American style away from the worries of the Syrian society, "which has rejected them among all forms of foreign interference."

The statement stressed that those conferences are considered manipulation of the destiny of a people and a flagrant interference in the affairs of a sovereign country who is a member in the UN, in addition to being a violation of the Universal Deceleration of Human Rights, the UN principles and the Declaration on the Right to Development.

"There is a vast difference between an elected government and a government imposed from the outside," said the Network, demanding that the human rights organizations, particularly the Human Rights Council, condemn those conferences "because they don't reflect the Syrian citizens' view or that of the real opposition whether inside or outside Syria."

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – Minister of Information, Omran al-Zoubi stressed that the current meeting of opposition figures and groups abroad in Doha in the presence of Arab and foreign ministers constitutes a new form of foreign intervention which aimed at remarketing an old product, Istanbul council, in a new international, regional and popular way.

In an interview with the Syrian TV broadcast on Friday, al-Zoubi said that the initiatives proposed during the meeting were set up by the US Studies' Center and attributed to certain figures to claim that Syrian people have formulated them.

He added that there are various opposition parties in Syria which are normal but resorting to foreign sides and holding meetings under their sponsorship, funds and agendas is shameful and humiliating.

Al-Zoubi stressed that the leadership in Syria and President Bashar al-Assad believe in dialogue which should be held between influential and organized parties with political programs and visions, not between the opposition and the government.

He indicated that attempts to re-unite the opposition parties aboard are ones of bringing them together to the minimum limit that is related to slogans and organization, not on a political project which may put the agendas of their sponsors in an embarrassing situation due to their differences in a lot of issues.

"The terrorist groups in Syria will fail since there is no real incubator environment and the majority of the Syrian people are not extremists in their thinking or behavior," the Minister said.

He added that the inability of small incubator environments to protect terrorists will lead them to move to other places such as Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey or Iraq after which they may head to Europe and spread chaos and terrorism.

Minister al-Zoubi said that the time period between issuing Geneva statement and today witnessed no achievement of political goals rather it was full of massacres, more bloodshed and destruction by the armed terrorist groups which oblige countries who signed Geneva statement, but did not commit to it to change their thinking as the political logic and circumstances indicated their incapability of launching military aggression because of the Syrians' steadfastness and their rallying around their country and army.

The only option that may succeed in Syria is to sit down around national dialogue table, said Minister al-Zoubi, adding that "When the opposition is convinced that dialogue is the only solution and respond to the decision of the leadership in Syria in dialogue, we will not retreat," said al-Zoubi.

Al-Zoubi added that the war in Syria is  a war against terrorism, adding that combating terrorism is not  only a Syrian constitutional duty, but also an international duty since there are international resolutions on the necessity of combating terrorism.

He indicated that any consistent decision by any international reference should oblige Turkey, Qatar and other countries to stop exporting terrorism to Syria or funding it.

Al-Zoubl said that the role of the UN envoy to Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi, is mainly related to achieve the UN six-point plan and halt violence through stopping the smuggling and arming of terrorists which means that Brahimi has no work with Syria, but rather with foreign sides which support terrorism.

He said that the talks about civil war in Syria indicate the immaturity and inability of those who talk to see the reality since what is taking place is a confrontation between the Syrian people and the foreign-backed terrorism.

He stressed that the real reason behind targeting Syria is its stance towards the Palestinian issue and the Syrian people are punished for considering the Palestinian issue as their national issue, stressing that the Palestinian people in Syria is part of the Syrian social texture and the Syrian and Palestinian people stand together against one enemy.

He added that the national public and private media will continue their national duty despite all attempts to silence them, adding that the Syrian channels broadcast on the internet and that there are around 22 friendly channels which broadcast news and facts on events in Syria in cooperation with the Syrian Ministry of Information and the General Organization of Radio and TV.

DISILLUSIONED WITH "HOMELAND" - SYRIAN-ARMENIAN FAMILY LEAVES YEREVAN FOR TBILISI

http://hetq.am/eng/articles/20367/disillusioned-with-homeland---syrian-armenian-family-leaves-yerevan-for-tbilisi.html

00:31, November 9, 2012

On the Georgia-Armenia border, we were forced to wait quite a long

time. Apparently, there was something amiss with the passport of one

of our fellow travelers.

"They're from Syria. They'll look and then send you back," said the

irritated driver.

"Just look at all the money they collect at the marathons," said the

red-haired woman.

They came. Turns out there were some errors in the children's

passports. A family-the parents and their children, aged two and

four years.

They were from Syria. They had come to Armenia two months ago. Now

they were coming from Georgia.

"We fled the war in Syria. On the day we left, when there was heaving

shelling, an Armenian taxi driver cam and took us to the airport. My

husband couldn't even see his ailing bed-ridden father to say goodbye.

He only lived one hundred meters from us. The shells were falling

all around us. It's a miracle we weren't killed," recounts Helen

Tarchinian.

They somehow bought a ticket for double the price for a plane flying

to Armenia. All they got when they arrived in Yerevan was a booklet

with the telephone number of a legal advice agency. There was nothing

of the "Ari Toun" (Come Home) welcome espoused by the Ministry of

Diaspora Affairs.

"We rang that number and they demanded $100 for legal advice. We never

got in touch with them again," says Sayid Garikian, Helen's husband.

The couple rented an apartment in Yerevan and started to look for

work. Their Armenian odyssey had begun.

In their search to gain a footing, what amazed them the most was the

indifference of Armenian authorities regarding the Armenians left

behind in Syria.

"There are many Armenians in a terrible state in Syria who dream about

fleeing, but those who come here are in worse shape. Many just want

to return and die honorably rather than stay in Armenia and live a

beggar's life. I now people who have returned disgusted," Sayid says.

As we were talking, little Aleks started to cry. He was tired from

the long trip. "We've becoming wanderers with our kids," mutters

Helen to herself.

- Why did you go to Georgia? I ask

- To find work. The conditions there are better. A knowledge of

English is better valued. In Armenia, they only want Russian speakers.

But even if I knew Russian I wouldn't get hired. I have no contacts"

- Isn't it the same in Georgia?

- It's not like that there. We've now come to Armenia to resolve

our children's passport problems. When it's done, we'll return to

Georgia. At least there is hope that things will be better there. In

Armenia, when they find out you are from Syria they try to trick you,

to get something from you.

Sayid is a pharmacist. Many have promised him employment but nothing

has happened. The family's savings will soon run out.

The family saw going to Georgia as the only way out. They've spent

the last two weeks there and have realized that their chances at

finding work are greater.

They regard both Syria and Armenia as their homeland. Now, however,

they have been forced to look for another homeland.

They feel slighted and insulted by official in Armenia and shocked

at the local attitudes.

"Once, I went to the Yerevan Municipality with a question. I entered

the room and saw that the workers were celebrating somebody's

birthday. A worker told me to come back another time. She said,

'don't you see we are busy with a birthday party?' His wife chides

him for telling the story, but Sayid was very hurt by the incident.

Later, they suddenly remember that the Armenian driver in Syria who

had driven them to the airport had been killed by the rebels.

"I didn't say farewell to my father. My parents stayed in Syria..." We

do not speak.

Helen got out in Spitak to look for relatives. Sayid travelled on

to Yerevan

In the taxi, the passengers were laughing and telling jokes. Sayid

was withdrawn. Perhaps he didn't "get" their humor. Perhaps it was

even illogical to his ears.

P.S. After arriving in Armenia, I found Helen on Facebook. She said

that they had relocated to Georgia for good.

Syrian Truth l Fars News Agency l Lebanese Report: Clinton, Petraeus Victims of US Failure in Syria

A Lebanese report described US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and former CIA Director David Petraeus, who both resigned their post on the eve of President Obama's victory in the presidential elections this week, as victims of the US failure in Syria as Washington is struggling to get rid of the quagmire in Syria.

The report was released while Clinton has said she would not serve in a second administration of US President Barack Obama and Petraeus declared his resignation on Friday.

The US failure in Syria and its need to an approach to get out of the Syrian crisis which is becoming another quagmire for Washington's hawkish foreign policy, similar to Iraq and Afghanistan, is due to the tragic results of the Syrian crisis on the US policy, the Arabic Al-Sharq al-Jadid news agency reported on Saturday.

Clinton and Petraeus were leading the unrests against the Syrian government over the last two years, the report said, and added Clinton led the political and diplomatic front at the UN, united hostile countries against Syria and set up many regional and international gatherings to fuel terrorism and killings and provided backups for rebel groups in Syria.

Petraeus, a senior Pentagon general, devised the strategy of fighting against the Syrian government after the US failure in Iraq and Afghanistan, set up operation rooms and sent officers to Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar to mobilize intelligence systems of these countries, the report said.

Petraeus had struck some deals with Syria's Ikhwan Al-Muslimun (Muslim Brotherhood) a few months ago to make the armed campaign against the Syrian government "appropriate for international terrorism and al-Qaeda thoughts" with the help of some US regional sponsors to invite the rebels from Lebanon, Jordan, Lybia and other Muslim and Arab countries to Syria.

The intelligence organizations led by Petraeus in Libya supported extremist and Takfiri groups as well as the Muslim Brotherhood who stormed the US embassy and killed Washington's ambassador to the country, the report said and added that the US failure in Syria and Libya are closely related, because the Muslim Brotherhood is now regarded as a friend of Petraeus which has disturbed his dream of saving the US from the current crisis.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.

Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.

The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.

In October 2011, calm was eventually restored in the Arab state after President Assad started a reform initiative in the country, but Israel, the US and its Arab allies are seeking hard to bring the country into chaos through any possible means. Tel Aviv, Washington and some Arab capitals have been staging various plots in the hope of increasing unrests in Syria.

The US daily, Washington Post, reported in May that the Syrian rebels and terrorist groups battling the President Bashar al-Assad's government have received significantly more and better weapons in recent weeks, a crime paid for by the Persian Gulf Arab states and coordinated by the United States.

The newspaper, quoting opposition activists and US and foreign officials, reported that Obama administration officials emphasized the administration has expanded contacts with opposition military forces to provide the Persian Gulf nations with assessments of rebel credibility and command-and-control infrastructure.

According to the report, material is being stockpiled in Damascus, in Idlib near the Turkish border and in Zabadani on the Lebanese border.

Opposition activists who several months ago said the rebels were running out of ammunition said in May that the flow of weapons - most bought on the black market in neighboring countries or from elements of the Syrian military in the past - has significantly increased after a decision by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other Persian Gulf states to provide millions of dollars in funding each month.

Azerbaijani mercenaries fighting in Syria

November 10, 2012 - 20:30 AMT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani citizen Hasin Khazli was killed in Syria

during neutralization of an armed group of terrorists, RFE/RL reported

on October 19, citing Syrian news agency SANA. Ghazli was reported to

have infiltrated Syria through Turkish-Syrian border as a part of a

group of militants.

The fact that Azerbaijan offers support to Syrian rebels was no secret

even before Khazli's death. In October Iranian `arannews.ir' website

reported that Baku extended assistance of euro 500 thous. to Syrian

terrorists.

Azerbaijan together with Turkey has been actively involved in the

Syrian conflict right from the start in backing the opposition.

Azeri mercenaries were even said to undergo special training in

Turkey's province of Hatay before getting to Syria, with the largest

number of Azeris reported in Turkish Apaydyn camp, according to

Voskanapat.info.

In late August, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad accused the Turkish

government of masterminding Syrian unrest, stating that `Turkey claims

direct responsibility for the bloodshed in the country.'

On November 9, Iranian `arannews.ir' reported, citing Syrian state

television that Azerbaijani citizen bearing `Islamov' second name was

killed in neutralization of terrorist groups by Syrian government

forces. The terrorist group was reported to consist of mainly citizens

from Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan.

The Azeri terrorist killed in Syria was later identified as Islamov

Zahur Aleskerovich, born in 1975, Voskanapat.info reported.

Photographs of other three Azerbaijani terrorists killed in Syria were

later discovered.

Some try to add tension between Armenians and Arabic circles: Vahan Hovhannisyan

http://www.yerkir.am/en/news/34980.htm

14:15 - 09.11.2012

The third humanitarian aid plane landed yesterday in Aleppo, whereas

many Arabic media informed that the aid is only for Armenians living

in Aleppo. A high ranking official of MFA also stated that. We have

announced from the first day that the aid is not just for Armenians.

Yerkir.am tried to get some information concerning this issue from

Member of `Help your brother' initiation, member of NA ARF fraction

Vahan Hovhannisyan.

`This is an artificial misunderstanding as the addressee of the aid is

specifically noted: Diocese of Berio of Aleppo and the Red crescent of

Syria. Meaning that they both receive the cargo, so what

discrimination are they talking about?' said Vahan Hovhannisyan to our

reporter.

He noted once more that everyone saw clearly that the aid is given to

Syrian families also.

`We are perfectly aware that our aim is to help our compatriots in

Syria but we also understand that it is not just Armenians who need

help, but Syrians also, as many of them have some sort of connection

with Armenians, they are either relatively connected or are neighbors,

and so naturally we consider helping them too', said Mr. Hovhannisyan.

He is sure that some political powers find it profitable to involve

Armenians in these civic collisions.

`It is profitable for some to involve Armenians in these civic

collisions, but Armenians maintain neutrality and do not get involved

in clashes. And because such experiments had failed, some try to add

tension between Armenians and Arabic circles on social level. They

failed in political level and so they try it on social one: `All food

and medication just for Armenians'. But this can affect on illiberal

population', said Vahan Hovhannisyan.

The Deeper Questions Behind the Ambassador’s Murder … and the CIA Boss’ Sudden Resignation

While the GOP is attacking (and Dems defending) the Obama administration in connection with the murder of the U.S. ambassador to Libya, there is a deeper story.

Sure, it is stunning that the State Department never requested backup or that people such as Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer allege that President Obama personally watched in real time the attacks as they occurred via video feeds from drones flying over the Benghazi consulate.

But these claims only can be assessed – and the whole confusing mess only makes sense – if the deeper underlying story is first exposed.

Many Syrian Terrorists Come from Libya

The U.S. supported opposition which overthrew Libya’s Gadaffi was largely comprised of Al Qaeda terrorists.

According to a 2007 report by West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center’s center, the Libyan city of Benghazi was one of Al Qaeda’s main headquarters – and bases for sending Al Qaeda fighters into Iraq – prior to the overthrow of Gaddafi:

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-liwxsBFq_t8/UIhe2BB69qI/AAAAAAAAElc/WWSQ5URIQ-Y/s640/WestPoint_1_LibyaAQvsAS.jpg

Al Qaeda is now largely in control of Libya. Indeed, Al Qaeda flags were flown over the Benghazi courthouse once Gaddafi was toppled.

(Incidentally, Gaddafi was on the verge of invading Benghazi in 2011, 4 years after the West Point report cited Benghazi as a hotbed of Al Qaeda terrorists. Gaddafi claimed – rightly it turns out – that Benghazi was an Al Qaeda stronghold and a main source of the Libyan rebellion. But NATO planes stopped him, and protected Benghazi.)

CNN, the Telegraph, the Washington Times, and many other mainstream sources confirm that Al Qaeda terrorists from Libya have since flooded into Syria to fight the Assad regime.

Mainstream sources also confirm that the Syrian opposition is largely comprised of Al Qaeda terrorists. See this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this, this and

.

The U.S. has been arming the Syrian opposition since 2006. The post-Gaddafi Libyan government is also itself a top funder and arms supplier of the Syrian opposition.

The Real Story At Benghazi

This brings us to the murder of ambassador Stevens and the sudden resignation of CIA boss David Petraeus.

The Wall Street Journal, Telegraph and other sources confirm that the US consulate in Benghazi was mainly being used for a secret CIA operation.

They say that the State Department presence in Benghazi “provided diplomatic cover” for the previously hidden CIA mission.

Reuters notes that the CIA mission involved finding and repurchasing heavy weaponry looted from Libyan government arsenals.

Business Insider reports that Stevens may have been linked with Syrian terrorists:

There’s growing evidence that U.S. agents—particularly murdered ambassador Chris Stevens—were at least aware of heavy weapons moving from Libya to jihadist Syrian rebels.

In March 2011 Stevens
became
the official U.S. liaison to the
al-Qaeda-linked
Libyan opposition, working directly with Abdelhakim Belhadj of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group—a group that has now disbanded, with some fighters
reportedly
participating in the attack that took Stevens’ life.

In November 2011
The
Telegraph
reported that Belhadj, acting as head of the Tripoli Military Council, “met with Free Syrian Army [FSA] leaders in Istanbul and on the border with Turkey” in an effort by the new Libyan government to provide money and weapons to the growing insurgency in Syria.

Last month
The Times of London reported
that a Libyan ship “carrying the largest consignment of weapons for Syria … has docked in Turkey.” The shipment reportedly weighed 400 tons and included
SA-7
surface-to-air anti-craft missiles and rocket-propelled grenades.

***

that Syrian rebels have been using those heavy weapons to
shoot down
Syrian helicopters and fighter jets.

The ship’s captain was ”a Libyan from Benghazi and the head of an organization called the Libyan National Council for Relief and Support,” which was presumably established by the new government.

That means that Ambassador Stevens had only one person—Belhadj—between himself and the Benghazi man who brought heavy weapons to Syria.

Furthermore, we know that
jihadists are the best fighters
in the Syrian opposition, but where did they come from?

Last week
The Telegraph reported
that a FSA commander called them “Libyans” when he explained that the FSA doesn’t “want these extremist people here.”

And if the new Libyan government was sending seasoned Islamic fighters and 400 tons of heavy weapons to Syria through
a port in southern Turkey
—a deal brokered by Stevens’ primary Libyan contact during the Libyan revolution—then the governments of Turkey and the U.S. surely knew about it.

Furthermore there was a
CIA post in Benghazi
, located 1.2 miles from the U.S. consulate, used as “a base for, among other things,
collecting information on the proliferation of weaponry looted from Libyan government arsenals, including surface-to-air missiles
” … and that its security features “were more advanced than those at rented villa where Stevens died.”

And we know that the CIA has been
funneling weapons to the rebels
in southern Turkey. The question is whether the CIA has been involved in handing out the heavy weapons from Libya.

In other words, ambassador Stevens may have been a key player in deploying Libyan terrorists and arms to fight the Syrian government.

Other sources also claim that the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was mainly being used as a CIA operation to ship fighters and arms to Syria.

Many have speculated that – if normal security measures weren’t taken to protect the Benghazi consulate or to rescue ambassador Stevens – it was because the CIA was trying to keep an extremely low profile to protect its cover of being a normal State Department operation.

Why Did CIA Chief David Petraeus Suddenly Resign?

CIA boss David Petraeus suddenly resigned, admitting to an affair. This could be the real explanation, given that affairs of high-level intelligence chiefs could compromise national security.

But the timing of Petraeus’ resignation becomes more interesting once one learns that that he was scheduled to testify under oath next week before power House and Senate committees regarding the Benghazi consulate.

Many speculate that it wasn’t an affair – but the desire to avoid testifying on Benghazi – which was the real reason for Petraeus’ sudden resignation.

The Big Picture

Whatever the scope of the CIA’s operation in Benghazi – and whatever the real reason for the resignation of the CIA chief – the key is our historical and ongoing foreign policy.

For decades, the U.S. has backed terrorists for geopolitical ends.

The U.S. government has been consistently planning regime change in Syria and Libya for 20 years, and dreamed of regime change – using false flag terror – for 50 years.

Obama has simply re-packaged Bush and the Neocons’ “war on terror” as a series of humanitarian wars.

And the U.S. and its allies will do anything to topple Iran … and is systematically attempting to pull the legs out from Iran’s allies as a way to isolate and weaken that country.

Americans should ask ourselves if that’s what we want …

Syrian Truth l RT l Britain could intervene in Syria within months - top UK general

Nov 11,2012

The UK’s most senior general said on a BBC interview Sunday that Britain had in place contingency plans for a “very limited” response in the case of a worsening humanitarian situation in Syria within the next few months.

The admission from Chief of the Defense Staff General Sir David Richards is the most serious warning yet that Britain is preparing for some kind of military involvement in Syria.

It seems that British policy has now shifted from trying to support and organize the disparate rebel groups to considering full-blown military action.

“The situation this winter I think may deteriorate and may well provoke calls to intervene in a limited way,” General Richards told the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show.

“It’s my job, amongst other people in my sort of position, to make sure these options are continually brushed over to make sure we can deliver them,” he continued.

Defense Secretary Phillip Hammond, who was interviewed on the BBC’s Sunday Politics program, also confirmed that the UK had not ruled out military intervention – but was still focused on trying to overcome objections from Russia and China to get a strong UN Security Council resolution condemning the Bashar al-Assad government.

“At the moment we don’t have a legal basis for delivering military assistance to the rebels. This is something the Prime Minster keeps asking us to test – the legal position, the practical military position, and we will continue to look at all options.” he said.

However, he stressed that Britain's main focus at the moment was making sure the crisis in Syria doesn’t spill into any neighboring countries like Lebanon, Turkey or Jordan.

General Richards added that there could be British troops posted in countries neighboring Syria.

“They’re allies of ours – we have small numbers of people routinely deployed there, and in the meanwhile we’re preparing plans to make sure that when some disaster happens, we’re able to deal with it.”

However, Marcus Papadopoulos, editor of magazine Politics First, told RT that he didn’t think the British announcement should be taken too seriously.

“I think it’s more designed to actually invigorate the Syrian militants – who are of course the proxies of the West – and at the same time to try and scare the government of President Assad and try and demoralize the Syrian armed forces, which of course are fighting a very long, protracted, bloody war,” he said.

Another option that London is considering includes amending a 2011 European Union trade embargo that would allow weapons to be sent to the rebels, for "humanitarian" reasons.

David Cameron wants to push for an end to the embargo, which does not allow either said to receive military aid from abroad. Cameron also wants to put more pressure on Washington to help the Syrian rebels, and if he is successful, it could see the UK supplying weapons directly to the Syrian resistance.

"Safe havens" for refugees are also being considered, but there are no plans to try and impose no-fly zones over Syria. Without a no-fly zone, a safe haven for refugees would be almost impossible to enforce.

Britain already has troops in Afghanistan, while its overstretched army, navy and air force face increasing budget cuts, so any credible military intervention would need to be in support of a larger US operation, or independently but on a minor scale.

British public opinion would also likely be firmly opposed to any new military intervention. A growing number of British people, including many politicians, want their troops out of Afghanistan as soon as possible. A new military intervention on any scale would be a very hard sell for the coalition, which is already under fire domestically for unpopular austerity measures and a faltering economy.

Nov 11, 2012

ALEPPO, (SANA) – The Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Aleppo started distributing the aid presented by the Armenian people to the Syrians in order to compensate for damage and loss they suffered due to the crimes of the Armed terrorist groups and the unjust economic sanctions imposed by western and regional countries.

In turn, Aleppo Governor, Mohammad Wahid Aqqad, said that the Armenian aid indicated the deep friendship and fraternity between the Syrian and Armenian peoples, adding that the Syrian people will never forget the support of friendly peoples in the face of terrorism and the armed terrorist groups.

Director of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Aleppo, Hael Assi, said that the distribution of the aid to the affected Syrian families and those in need will be carried out in cooperation with the Armenian Embassy and the Armenian Orthodox Archdiocese in Aleppo.

An Armenian cargo plane arrived at Aleppo International Airport on Friday carrying the third batch of humanitarian aid presented by the Armenian people to the Syrians.

Terrorists Killed, Their Centers, Ammo Warehouses and Vehicles Destroyed in Several Provinces

Nov 11, 2012

PROVINCES, (SANA) – The Armed Forces on Sunday continued pursuing the armed terrorist groups in the villages and towns in the countryside of Idleb.

An official source told SANA reporter that the army units are pursuing terrorists in Salet al-Zohour village, adding that the engineering units dismantled an explosive device planted by an armed terrorist group on salet al-Zohour – Freikeh - Jisr al-Shughour road.

On Saturday night, the Armed forces killed a number of terrorists and destroyed a weapons warehouse, a workshop for making explosives and a center for terrorist groups south to Sarmin city.

Hundreds of thousands of Armenian deportees were massacred in Der Zor in the summer of 1916. The memorial was consecrated in 1991

I wish someone Johannes ? would post and make it legible here the article from Azdak about the Chapel in DerZor.

Where it is coyly and cautiously suggested that it is a covert or overt conspiracy by ankakara to obliterate and wipe out each and every memorial reminiscent of the Genocide, and every vestige of Armenian culture and history in Syria and elsewhere. To not forget the trashing of St. Gevorg Church in Nor Giugh.
