The above idiotic comment in regards to me not thinking about Armenian contribution to the world really ticked me off right now I must say!

And who do you think you are to accuse me of such thing? Anyways, please do not comment to any of my posts anymore because you really crossed your line in my opinion.

How rude was that!!!

You definitely hit a nerve rigth now because Armenian contribution or any other Armenian related issues are very close to my heart, and my outrage at your rude and crazy comment about my 'lack of faith in Armenian contribution" is the result of my strong pride in being Armenian!!!

How arrogant of you!

I didn't mean to be rude.

I'm curious though... why do you care so much about Kim's being? My opinion in this is that Kim doesn't interfere with my life whatsoever. She's not in the news, unlike Britney Spears or Paris Hilton (now that's annoying!). The only time I could hear about her or watch her is when I willingly turn on the E! channel - which is actually not the case.

C'mon girls if we can't make fun of Kardashian then who?

I've got nothing against humor :)

... but I do mind it when it is done at someone else's expense. My comment is not directed at your post but to some others' replies in this topic.

EM

Please reread my previous post. When I used the word merit, I used it about Kim Kardashian's not good conduct and I said that she DOES NOT bring merit to our Armenian nationality.

Anahid:

I was not refering to any one post in particular. But I did borrow the word "merit" directly from your cooment. It was the best suitable word to convey what I wanted to say.

Please don’t be on the defensive every time I refer to something you say. If I got offended every time someone was in disagreement with my opinion or my views on the topic being discussed, I surely would refrain from posting in a public forum. It would be exhausting and intolerable- always assuming ppl were against me. I promise to try my best not to offend you in any way. Maybe that means not referring to any of your posts at all.

It is of course untrue that I would get on the defensive if someone disagreed with me on any given topic; because there are no two brains that think completely and solely alike; so obviously we will have to disagree, if not most of the time; but sometimes; that's normal. Disagreements is also part of communication and I am of course aware of it as you are.

In the case that you have just mentioned, I simply brought it up to your attention; because I felt that you misquoted me.

If you want to refer to any of my posts otherwise, it is fine with me. It's entirely up to you; but I have absolutely no case with you; other than I wish the best for you and your child.

Me neither, before this thread I didn't know of her existance. As long as her face is not on hotmail, yahoo news like Hilton everytime I want to check my mails I'm OK with her existance.

Em: I don't recall ever being defensive with you. A long time ago we disagreed about an odar name as I sided with someone else who thought against the useage of an odar name and you got upset about it and then we disagreed.

The other time; it was you that didn't want to quote me or refer to me, and I am assuming that because you couldn't come to terms with yourself with letting it go from that one time that we disagreed together.

Like I said before, I have no qualms with you watsoever. It is now up to you.

Update: Kim K. on the cover of Playboy's Sexy 100.

Out now.

Playboy's Sexy 100

"This edition of Sexy 100 marks the sixth time we've compiled our alphabetical listing of the most beautiful women who've appeared somewhere in the world of Playboy within the past year. As the Playboy universe continues to expand so does the pool of gorgeous women from which to choose, and while it was a difficult task, we think this list represents the sexiest of the sexy. Included in this year's roster is celebutante and sex kitten Kim Kardashian, the reigning Model of the Year and Playmate of the Year, four foxy Vegas Bunnies, several hot housewives, a sumptuous selection of Casting Call cuties and, of course, Hef's trio of girlfriends -- Holly, Bridget and Kendra."

She is supposed to be fully nude.

There ya go.

p.s. the Playboy issue with Kim on the cover flew off the shelves, i think that is the reason Playboy decided to put Kim on the cover of Sexy 100,

Kim Kardashian to Armenia lol

-----------------------

A note about my Armenian background

I read in the comments that some of you thought it was inappropriate for me not to post about the anniversary of Armenian genocide (which took place just after World War I) and that I was being selfish for spending my day shopping instead.

For those of you who don't already know, I am half Armenian. I do not speak Armenian, but my late father instilled in us a lot of Armenian culture.

Judging by the pictures you have seen on this site and from what the gossip blogs have been saying, I can see why you may have gotten the wrong idea. But that's what the media put out... They didn't know I was leaving for Australia, spending my only free day with my boyfriend, running every possible errand because I won't be home for six weeks. From Australia, I land in Los Angeles and have just a few hours to switch bags before I leave for Shreveport, Louisiana, and won't be back for more than a month!

After my day of running errands, I spent the evening with my late father's side of the family. I went to an Armenian dinner with my family, like we often do. Of course, cameras weren't there for that -- and some things I like to keep private.

But all of the chatter really got me thinking... Do I know as much about my Armenian history as I would like to? The honest answer is... no.

That night at dinner my sisters, brother and I decided it is mandatory that we go to Armenia. None of us have ever been, neither had my dad and neither have my grandparents! My great grandparents were from Armenia and escaped the genocide. No one has been back since. All I know about my country is what I read and pictures I see on the Internet.

My parents couldn't tell us stories because no one has been! So, this generation is going to change that! We don't know when we are going to go, but we four kids have decided it is something we should do! I heard it is beautiful and we are all really excited about it!

I will definately keep you posted on the details of that trip! It would make my dad so proud!

Back when my father was alive, we didn't use digital cameras, so I don't have many pictures with him on my computer. But when I get home I am going to get a scanner so I can show you guys how handsome my daddy was.

I am also going to be honest, I don't speak Armenian (I know, a lot of you have asked). And I don't know all of the historical details -- so if you have some stories to share with me, I would love that!

What does the Armenian genocide mean to you? Let me know!

'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' Star Makes Time for More Serious Matters

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

While we often find Kim Kardashian in the crazy situations brought about by being a porn star turned reality TV celebrity, she actually does have time to think about the more serious stuff such as politics and global affairs. As the daughter of the late Robert Kardashian, who is a half-Armenian lawyer, Kim has opened her eyes to the fact that life isn't all glitz and glamour.

In fact, Kim decided to reveal her thoughts on the anniversary of the Armenian genocide on April 24, during which TMZ caught her shopping and going about her usual day to day errands. The reality TV star says that despite the fact that she did not honor the date of the anniversary, she is still making an effort to understand the Armenian culture. She reveals that she dedicated an evening to spend with her father's side of the family. Your Take

shawnaWinchester said: I love her show and Its nice that she is trying see all »

"I spent the evening with my late father's side of the family. I went to an Armenian dinner with my family, like we often do," Kim posted on her blog. "But all of the chatter really got me thinking... Do I know as much about my Armenian history as I would like to? The honest answer is... No. "

Because of this, Kim and her siblings, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob decided to take a trip to Armenia, just to check out their heritage.

"My great grandparents were from Armenia and escaped the genocide," Kim revealed. "No one has been back since. All I know about my country is what I read and pictures I see on the Internet."

Kim says that she is determined to carry on their plans of visiting the country, as soon as her other pending and urgent matters have been attended to.

The Armenian genocide isn't the only global affair that's on Kim's mind, as she and her sisters recently made a public service announcement about Burma's struggle for freedom. In fact, the Kardashians are not the only celebrities to join in as comedy actor Jim Carrey has also led a campaign to help free Aung San Suu Kyi, a woman leader who is currently under house arrest after fighting for her country's freedom. The Kardashians' public service announcement will be out soon, and for those who are interested in taking part of this meaningful endeavor, log on to USCampaignforBurma.org.

Meanwhile, presidential hopeful Barack Obama seems to have won over the support of Kim Kardashian. In an encounter with E! at a magazine event, Kim revealed that she believes in Obama’s campaign platform.

"[Obama] just seemed very firm about the change, and that’s, like, his motto," Kim said about Obama's slogan, "Change We Can Believe In."

It seems that there may be more to Kim Kardashian than we might have thought. Nonetheless, there will be more of Kim's appearances soon, as she is set to star in a comedy film.

"I have accepted a part in a major studio film," Kardashian told E!. "It's a comedy. It's starting the first week in May and it's filming in Louisiana. I can't wait."

No details about the flick yet, but make sure to catch Keeping Up with the Kardashians on Sundays, 10pm on E!
