Error 404 Posted April 2, 2007 Report Share Posted April 2, 2007 I have just read in russian news that an assassination attempt was made on the Mayor of Gyumri. The vice mayor, the driver and one of the bodyguards are dead. The mayor himself an two more bodyguards are in critical situation in hospital. What the hell is going on? I have tried to google it but did not find anything. Apparently it happened just now. Here is the text and the link to article. It only says that it happened in the evening of the 2 April (2-3 hours ago). I am sure in couple of hours the english or armenian versions of the news will show up in internet. Gukasian's driver and two bodyguards were killed and a deputy mayor died later from his wounds. Another bodyguard was hospitalized in serious condition, the spokesman said. Politics are tense and occasionally violent in Armenia, a small, impoverished ex-Soviet republic located in the strategic Caucasus region. Come to think of it, there are a heck of a lot of real obese people here in America; but I do mean well of course, as I want my people to live long lives and not to die at 55 or 60. That would be very sad and a shame. They should start on Armenian T.V.'s and advertisements to educate, to remind and to discourage our people in RA to refrain from heavy drinking. Very heavy drinking is deadly.... you could be only 18 years of age and if you're very heavily drinking, you could actually die; and it did happen.
