bravo! He didn't only turkify armenian songs but also our generations. People claim that there is no other music for dancing during the wedding and other ceremonies. Are you kidding me? Come over I will give you tons of real armenian dance music.

Enqan pareq minchev koshiknerd prcni !

Hey Vripak-Error do I know you? Have me met?

Why can’t we dance to Komitas’ Ghaytarma, to Babajanian’s Vahgharshapati Par, to Aram’s Enzeli…?

Does it always have to be to the beat of the dumbek? Remember Siamanto’s Par@ (Dance), where qarsun/40 of our virgins were burned to death girating to the beat of the dumbek?

Yeah. Yeah. Let us all join and dance to the tune of Ankara, Ankara guzel Ankara.

Sireli Movses,

You may have forgotten that a long ago we talked about “mugham” , that it was nothing but a corrupted form of the Turkish “mak(h)am” which in turn, I think Bell, or was it Ali Suat that it was from the Arabic “maqam” meaning to stand up, i.e to dance, to tap one‘s feet. All of which mean to “stand up”. I wish Ali wre here to tell us what "qam/maqam" means. All we know is from the scriotures when Jesus told in Aramaic/Arabic to Dalida to "qoumi" to rise/stand, maqam up.

Now, let‘s see what the Armenian word to mugham(Persian), makham(Turkish) , MA-QAM( to “rise, to stand/ to dance” in Arabic) is.

Is it “kaynil/parel/khaghal“?

Btw, one of the tunes of AK’s Ballet Suite Gayaneh is based on “Che…m, che….m krna khaghal.

Do you know which?

In this world people have their time to shine and be a golden star. It has to be experienced for one to see and understand the real life of what one man is living through.

Aram Asatryan has shared his life and talent with the world. On March 3, 1953, Aram Asatryan was born in Echmiazin, Armenia, the son of Ashken Mampreyan and Hapet Asatryan. He was born to a refugee family and the strength of his soul determined the importance of his country. Ever since his childhood years he has been a talented person and has given his heart and soul to music. In the year of 1985, his band united: Levon Abryamyan, Khatchik Sahakyan, Souren Gasparyan, and Simon Sisoyan.

Aram loved to work and he devoted his life to music. He approached positive things and was confident about himself. His love for his country and the Armenians as well as other races are expressed in his songs. When his homeland was jeopardized, with his songs he brought

hope to the people, the soldiers, and to the heroes. Aram performed many concerts in Asia, Europe, Russia, the Arabian Seas and many cities in Armenia. He achieved 108 concerts, and has never left a place without putting a smile

on someone’s face. Until this day he has written over 500 songs, and continues touring the world and the United States. Throughout his life he has received many awards and diplomas such as the “Gusan” he was awarded on April 18, 2003 from the Cultural Music Ministry in Armenia. His words of life are a song, and the key of a song is life. His strength is in the words of his songs, and the origins of his songs are the beginning of life. article's photo

Aram Asatryan’s requiem will take place today at 06:00 p.m. in his house in Echmiadzin. The relatives and fans of the singer can bid him the final farewell tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. in the culture hall after Komitas in Echmiadzin. The funeral will take place at 03:00 p.m. in the Zvartnots cemetery tomorrow.

By the way, special buses will leave for Echmiadzin free of charge for all those who want to participate in the funeral. Tomorrow since 9:30 a.m. the buses will be standing near the Opera house entrance.

According to the gossips, Aram Asatryan did not die a natural death. People say he has been poisoned. We tried to find out the truth from his press secretary. “It is excluded. He ate and drank whatever other people ate and drank. Besides, all the people there were relatives and friends. There weren’t any strangers whom we could suspect”, Hrachuhi Yeranosyan mentioned.

According to the press secretary, pathologoanatomic examination confirmed that Aram Asatryan had a heart attack.

i hope some of you got to watch Insurance for You on ARTN with Armen Parseghian

i really congratulate the guy for dedicating his whole program to Aram Asatryan's memory, something that many other programs and even channels (thinking about Horizon TV) omitted to do

i really found appropriate the remarks of many people who called in to express their anger at those people who never even mentionned that Aram died, and who pointed out how the government of Armenia didn't do 1/10 of what it did for Varduhi Vardanian's death on this occasion; with respect to Varduhi, I don't mean to degrade her memory either, I like her very much and still mourn her death, however I find that Aram deserved at least some recognition too on behalf of the government for his multiple investments in Armenia and all the cultural work he has done keeping many Armenian in the Diaspora
