aSoldier
Seb I love you if I may give you an advice please drop the Bible quotations and use common sense and logic with your answers you'll do much better, like your last paragraph above is a good example of what I mean. You can disregard it as well if you don't like what I said. His words are better than mine

Azat
I love the arguments like "it is the fastest growing x" or "it is the biggest x" thus I should be part of that x Well McDonalds is the biggest restaurant chain in the world and Subways is the fastest growing but I think we would all agree that neither one serves the best meal nor do I want to step in there and be like all the other vochxars that follow the heard leader. Anonymouse
I'm willing to bet Islam has probably said the same thing LMAO at the religion of "peace" ... yah and it also values women the same as men haaaaaaaaahahaahahahahahaah I was being sarcastic. And what religion would force people convert or have their heads decapitated, ala the Armenians in the Ottoman Empire? Some people like to believe in myths and fairy tales that somehow Islam is tolerant or peaceful. Just read the history, read and study about Mr. Mohammed and see how peaceful and tolerant he really was. I can't say a bad thing about Jesus, even though we tease him, but come on, the guy was really the polar opposite in many ways. http://images.amazon.com/images/P/0895260131.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg
Sip
I most definitely agree about Jesus. I personally think Jesus himself has been one of the most amazing people that has ever lived (especially for his time). That's probably why I get pretty disgusted why people drag his name into the gutter by attaching their God and all the other mumbo jumbo to a man that had so many good things to teach about how to live, and most importantly, set the example himself. But noooo ... who cares about Jesus the man. All they want to talk about is his supernatural dad who raped a virgin supposedly (without her even knowing about). Great example He set
MosJan
I was wondering what people thought about young Armenians choosing to convert to Islam? How does that impact the Armenian people? some get mad due to the fact that Armenians suffered to stay Christians in the Genocide...does this play a role in a person wanting to go the way of the enemy? converting to Islam - is that the new Hip Hop think to do ?? haw often do you or have you attended your local Armenian church - that's if your an Armenian haw much do you know about our religion ? have you even made an attempt to Learn, study ? Sip
Why? How come I have to hear your endless bible quotes and not complain, and I can't say what I think? What makes you so special? Matthew 5:38-42 And Jesus said, "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also."

Sip
Just as others views may be insulting to you, you have to realize that your "feelings" can be insulting to others. You can't ask others to not express their opinions on a certain topic just because you find them insulting.
aSoldier
God raping a woman is a view? Express your opinion, but choose your words kindly because I'm sure you would appreciate the same.
Sip
God raping a woman is a view? How else would you describe a virgin woman getting pregnant without even knowing about it in advance or having given permission? What you label as "immaculate conception", I would label as "divine rape". Offensive or not, they both mean the same thing.
aSoldier
How else would I describe it? You cannot understand God, no human can.
Sip
You cannot understand God, no human can. Exactly. That's the entire point. Believing in things you don't understand is NEVER a good thing. Now back to the question at hand ... whether it's God or Allah or the Flying Spaghetti Monster one has to ask him or herself is it one's association with a certain organized religion that defines who you are or is it something else that may be more from within. If the pack mentality of sticking together with a group of people that like to run around a square building once a year in a counterclockwise manner and chant prayers or want to face a certain way and stick their rear-ends up in the air 3 times a day makes you happy, so be it. Asssssssalam Alaikem and Allaho Akbar to You. May peace be with you and va aaaale Mohammad (pbuh). Edited April 6, 2006 by Sip

Hey Sip, Did you notice that your Flying Spaghetti is Armenian? Pastafar-ian? Speaking of which, many major religious movements are also Armenian. What with Christ-ian, Episcopal-ian, Wesle-yan, Unitar-ian, Presbyter-ian, Abyssin-ian, Arab-ian, Antioch-ian…..some past ones like Egypt-ian, Anatol-ian etc. and many more. How about Sipan-ian and Sebast-ian I bet you didn't know that that greatest guru of reilgion was also Armenian. His name? Theolog-ian.
