Hrach
Hi Folks, this song has not come out of my head for 2 days already and I am not even a diehard fan of SOAD, really good stuff. cheers It's a really good song, i love it. I heard that hypnotize (album) is going to be much slower and kick back than Mezmerize...i hope its going to be good.

skhara
It is on their main page: http://www.systemofadown.com Some people can't get it out of their head, others get a headache . Sip
Hmmmm... it's alright .. I didn't like it that much when I first heard it. There are a few good songs on the Mesmerize CD but the SOAD songs are slowly all starting to sound very similar. Don't get me wrong though ... they are still one of the better groups out there. Zartonk
Expect better songs from half 2, but I really really like it. And is this piece catchy..
Hrach
This cd is going to have more slow songs than mezmorize, but the ones that are heavy are going to be one of the heaviest songs they have every written. There is a song called Holy Mountain..its about Ararat, i hope they make it a great song. All i know is that its going to have violins in it, so most probably its going to be a serious song
Vanetsi
Holy Mountain is going to be great. I've heard it live and it is reminiscent of a sharagan.
skhara
Does SOAD fall into the heavy metal genre? In college they always sounded terriffic when I've had a bit more than a few.
vava
Is heavy metal still a genre?
skhara
I don't know, am I living in the past? I think Led Zepplin is considered heavy metal, but today many classic rock radio stations play them. Anyway another band that would be in the same genre as SOAD is Rage Against the Machine. But what genre do they fall into.
vava
I don't know, am I living in the past? I think Led Zepplin is considered heavy metal, but today many classic rock radio stations play them. Anyway another band that would be in the same genre as SOAD is Rage Against the Machine. But what genre do they fall into. I don't know much about metal - but oh well, the way I see it, is that heavy metal is a genre, a little bit like new wave is a genre... it's had it's day, and has been replaced by something newer. Some times changes in music genres coincide with minor adjustments within the subcultures they pertain to - other times the label change is merely semantics. Heavy metal as it was referred to in the 70's and 80's has evolved into something else... I don't know what it's called now.
Mica
Downlad SOAD-Hypnotize!
Zartonk
I hate genres and borders anyways, but Led Zeppelin is British blues and hard rock, not heavy metal. They are not even metal. Also on Hypnotize, there is this great song call Kill Rock'n'Roll. Everyone should check it out.
