Zartonk
I just bought the new Soad album and once again...AMAZING!!! It is a different approach than 2001's Toxicity and the musical creativity of the band has much increased. Recommended to everyone. vava
I've heard positive things about it - but I haven't actually heard the whole album.... I'll reserve any comments until then.

Bakersfieldian
I've been playing this CD all morning. If it doesn't fire you up, you're already dead! I know we are the most biased crowd when it comes to these guys but this album really kicks ***!!!
Armen
The intro left me wanting it to become a full song. They are a tease ...

Any faves? style_images/master/snapback.png I would agree that Radio/Video and Question! are highlights. I also like Old School Hollywood though I wasn't crazy about it at first. R/V would have made a good single, but apparently they've chosen Lost In Hollywood, which I think is a weird choice.

Old school Hollywood and LiH are the kind of songs that you only start likeing after listening to them again. I wonder what the LiH video is going to be like. Zartonk
I thought the rest were what made it ground breaking. The whole album is an improvment.
Proud EXPAT
Very different album and more commercial and mainstream than the other ones. Their rawness can be felt right off the bat, and a lot of people like them for that reason. (While the majority of other groups out there are completely studio products.) Bravo! Proud EXPAT
By the way, although I like Lost In Hollywood, it sounds like a complete rip off of Radiohead's Street Spirit. Anyone else notice?

Maral
The CD is sitting right here next to the comp, but I can't get myself to listen to it. I'm just not into that type of music, and them being Armenian does nothing...

Armen
sue me style_images/master/snapback.png Hey, I don't deal well with people who are high. Also, treason under influence does not count, so I was just stating a fact

Mica
seems like songs are unfinished..some songs got cool chorus but the rest isn't as good....
Zartonk
Noise pollution Forgive the delay in reply, but I just don't seem to fully understand the general automatic bias towards "heavy" music. It would of have made sense to me if one of the many (-MANY-) insignificant "rock" album that have the taste of the mainstream audience chocked and in general posess somewhat of a more kharn & "occupied" array of notes & sound were overlooked as just noise, and that of pollution. But this group (without anything towards the Armenian thing) tend to sand out for me.Yet again, thats me... I mean, thats some good pollution..
