DominO123
Agreed. Why is sex such a taboo among Armenians? As you said earlier: it's simply biology. Why can we not talk about it like adults? Was it that pornographic? I found it informative more than anything. And apparently many Armenians need this information! Some of the stuff were rated 18+, we do not have any warnings prior accessing the thread and I don't know such a warning is technically possible with the forum. You can always add a note in the subtitle. Or open a "protected" forum (i.e. one that needs a password) for 18+ members. I find it rather hypocritical that expletives are being used left and right on this forum, but a sincere information exchange about sex is censored. Sassun
The age issue online is really a moot point. What makes you sure that someone has not registered an account with a fake year of birth? But anyway, I say, this thread proved that it is not I who is uncomfortable with issues of sex (that was the accusation) , but the atheists and non-Muslim believers. nairi
The age issue online is really a moot point. What makes you sure that someone has not registered an account with a fake year of birth? I agree that age is a moot point, considering that most here are older than 15-16, and that should be just about the right age to start with sex education. Finally, as a simple reminder of the fate of the Armenian clitoris: http://hyeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=6582 Edited June 18, 2007 by nairi
Arpa
Oh ok so men are attracted to women, women need to cover head to toe. Women are attracted to men yet men don't need to cover head to toe. As is being discussed. I just wanted to make sure I understood correctly that in fact Islam is unfair to women in this case too. This whole thing about the sensual provocation of the hair can be blamed on Medusa. We forget that hair is not exclusively limited to the head. It is rumored that Muslim women, caught in a compromising situation, when they hear footsteps , raise their skirts to cover the hair on their heads, and in the process expose the hair in other locations. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Medusa.jpg There is an old saying which loosely; “If there were any dignity to hair, it would not grow in certain places”. As you can see above, Medusa’s hair is an allegory of the “serpent”. Which brings us to the “serpent” of the Garden of Eden http://www.dhushara.com/book/consum/consum1.htm http://www.aznewage.com/serpent.htm Oddly enough. As men begin to grow hair/serpents in other locations of their bodies, they also start losing it on their heads. Having said that. Does that mean that as men lose their hair above the neck, the below the waist “serpent” becomes a symbol of attraction? This whole thing about Muslim women and hair is “hair/hare-brained” at best. It makes one wonder how Muslim hairdressers earn a living. What would Madame de Pompadour say about all this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madame_de_Pompadour What? You didn’t know she was Armenian? Her real name was Madame pomp-Adourian. We can play more with hair and sexuality but there are ladies and minors here. Then again. Of course, we can always talk about the "bush". Sip
I really wish we had some younger people here (maybe less than 14 years old). Then maybe the rest of us could learn a thing or two about sex. And Arpa, good one sir Edited June 18, 2007 by Sip

Anonymouse
Hey everyone! Let's all convert to Islam and wear kufis and form a Muslim band called "Kufi Head Renegades". I have vocals! Who wants the drums (a.k.a. banging the scimitar on the wall)? Edited June 18, 2007 by Anonymouse

Anonymouse
Just imagine Sip! Imagine how many chicks we can get in our new Islamic outfits for our debut concert! Now all we need is a proper venue, like say, the Hollywood Bowl! Man, we would have chicks going crazier over us than they did toward The Beatles, and this will answer all the naysayers of why women are attracted to Muslim men! DominO123
I agree, it's not the kind of joke which we can laugh about. Is the condition of many women in that spot in the world. This is on the frontier with Iraq, they're probably Kurdish women very far from ressources, no cars even for their husbands who could not afford one. Ani
It is sad... but what makes me sad is that in many Armenian villages women do the hard work, because most men are in Russia working, and they come home only (if they ever do) in winter... Takoush
It is sad... but what makes me sad is that in many Armenian villages women do the hard work, because most men are in Russia working, and they come home only (if they ever do) in winter... And if rich people and also higher up government figures lived more humbly rather than really live it up, and donate their richness by dividing their wealth with the real poor and needy, wouldn't it be better all around? So that the vast majority of the population would be able to breath better and not go out of the country if they found a chance?
