  1. That was very assuring. I have 1% chance of having a package make it to its destination. ) Our country has a long way to go! Thank you for the advice!
  2. Thank you, MosJan! I'll just ship those in then.
  3. A long time since my last post here (I totally forgot about this forum ) Now I need some help from fellow Armenians who travel often. I haven't carried much technology on my previous visits, and since I'm a US citizen they usually don't even bother looking into my bags at Zvartnots. This time (in a couple of months), I'm visiting and need to take 4 laptops with me for my brother and some relatives. I heard this might be a problem. Does anyone have such personal experiences? What's the maximum number of laptops or tablet PCs can you take? Thanks for any info!
  4. We always thought the opposite was true, that they would defeat us the next time around. This is good news at its best!
  5. I don't see how the word "traitor" can be used here. It's poor choice to deny what nationality you belong to, and you deserve to be ridiculed for it. There really is no one to betray. I think about 90% of the time when the word "traitor" is used, it doesn't belong there.
  6. I've read somewhere that some corruption is after-all not so bad because it keeps aggressive politicians busy making money and not trying to find other means of power and repression... I don't know if I agree with that, but the source seemed reputable and made some sense. Unfortunately I can't find it right now.
  7. This is a sad loss. He was one of my favorite comic actors! Those short films that they did during the cold and dark years are still in my mind.. Such a surreal feeling.
  8. I like this rule. But isn't it undemocratic? Sounds like something they might have done during the Soviet years...
  9. I found this video on Youtube. Isn't that amazing??? Somebody called Lyndi Williams sings about "aghi blit" Looks like they're going to perform this in Armenia soon.
  10. He learned to fly before he could even drive a car!!! Most dads wouldn't agree with that. lol
  11. Not an Armenian song.. but I love it
  12. Some of Pushkin's works are translated into Armenian so well you can't believe they're translations... This is all so lovely!
  13. I am ashamed to say yes to both of those

    *yan vs. *ian

I think the faster a consesus is reach about this the better for us. It's a great way of staying together, at least on the surface, for Armenians. Have the exact same ending in the last name is quite rare for any nation. That would be our unique trademark.

    Stepan Partamian

I think our people aren't ready for this sort of comedians. We need more outspoken activists like him. We have to grow and allow ourselves to be self-critical.
  16. I love these doodles!! I just hope they won't clutter it like yahoo with all kinds of junk add links and Britney news stories
  17. Anyone thinks it has to do with strategics because of the war that we still don't have Armenia's roadmap? Or maybe the google people are too lazy? lol
