  1. Yes, I have little respect for people like _Anka_. Armenians who are seemingly ashamed of who they are. I am pround of Armenia and Armenians simply because I am Armenian and thats it. It really makes little difference that we 'allowed ourselves' to be massacred and persecuted and whatever our history and culture involves - I may not agree with all our cultural habits, but thats beside the point. Being ashamed of ones country/people is like being ashamed of your own parents. How can one be ashamed of their mother/father, their own flesh and blood?! Like the Armenian saying goes: 'lava, vata eta' - translation: 'for better or worse, thats what fate has given you, and you cant change it, just like you cant change your (biological) parents. and yes, we do have two large oil paintings in our living/lounge rooms - one is of Ararat and the other Lake Sevan, and a small wooden khatchkhar - these are my history, my heritage, my homeland - things a statue of fat budha is completelly foreign to! - why celebrate another peoples culture, when you have your own?!
  2. not human? perhaps you should ask yourself weather their occupiers are human? Have you not seen footage of napalm being dropped in Vietnam and crying children (on fire) running for their lives? Or the (human) results of Nagasaki and Hiroshima? The Iraqis in the photo are as human as they come, one can only imagine the hatred that drives them to mutilate a corpse that has allready been burnt beyond recognition. The US Army has walked into another quagmire my friend, and this time there is no easy getting out like in Somalia, much more is at stake - oil! It will take many more mutilated corpses before the Empire decides it has had enough. Mind you, I got nothing to complain about. Our Prime Minister is a genious. We only got like 600 people in Iraq (in supporting roles), so I really must thank the US Army and the US taxpayer for making sure that I have my petrol at a reasonble price. Once again: Thank YOU, American taxpayer ....and now, to get our Johnny re-elected....
  3. http://www.poynterextra.org/cp/AP.jpg I must say, I underestimated the bravery and intelligence of our Arab neighbours. It seems like they really dont want to be another backwater American 'democracy' like Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan. --- Pic too big. Changed to link. --Sip
  4. I havnt been following soccer latelly, but last time I checked Arsenal had a wealth of talented young strikers. - not to mention Henry and Pires.
  5. mmm...true enough....I should note that its not the same here, downunder, not to the same extent anyway - there is a great deal of party loyalty here and those leaders that become PMs and go against the party policy and its grassroots members are punished sooner rather than later. Those that stick it out, and loose nevertheless, still retain their dignity - within the party at least.
  6. a legend he is, but I think its time to retire....

  11. it is irrelevant what proportion of our 'policians' are parasites, fact of the matter is ROA is in a deep hole and the government as a whole is ineffective.

  13. - who do you think helped the Turks drive the (capitalist) Allies out? not to mention sign our lands away....
  14. in politics - agreements are not worth the paper they are written on and are only honoured as long as they continue to benefit both sides. yes, that what we need, another noble neighbour to help us solve our problems. <_<
  15. The US Army got a cold reception in Iraq, they will think twice before having a go at Syria or Iran....

...forgot to mention - standard failure rates for most engineering subjects after 1st year are about 30%, but reach up to 70% for some of the harder subjects. For business subjects they keep the rate below 30%, average being prob around 10-15% or so. Eng grad rate is prob about 50% here, but we shouldnt forget that most of the people that drop out usually transfer to less demanding courses like Computer Science - so its not really a 'drop-out' rate.

I wont say Eng is the hardest degree, but it is one of the hardest and most demanding - here it is 4 full time years + mandatory work experience. I am doing a parallel finance/business major with my engineering, and you cant compare the two. I have literally passed business subjects without ANY study - one of which was supposedly the hardest 'Investment Analysis' - I spent 10 hours on this subject in TOTAL: a few hours on the assignment and few more on the mid-semester and did not even study for the final. I was expecting to fail and was actually disgusted to have found out that I passed, I immidiatelly realised this Finance degree is going to be worth sh!t in the real world unless you have a Masters or super high marks. Graduating from Eng is an achievement in my opinion.
  18. Another plane story: Flying Aeroflot , from Tokyo to Moscow - landing at Moscow, very foggy, while descending water starts dripping from the tops of the Emergency hatches - right where the stewardesses are sitting. Juggy is pointing and laughing histerically . Aeroflot It was a new plane too, a Boing 777.
  19. hahaha - reminds me of that joke. An armo guy really needs to pee badly, the mens room is closed for some reason so he runs into the womens toilet and starts peeing. A woman comes in, sees the guy peeing and starts screaming histerically. The Armenian man says: "Dont worry, Im holding 'him'" hima yes em.
  20. obviously its nothing like getting on to someone. Its like comparing driving a Porsche with a keyboard sitting behing your computer and the real thing - no comparison, just a tease
  21. hehehe - all this lip and tongue talk is giving me
  22. well, I meant tongue-in action, but not necessarilly lip-wrestling for a whole minute. Say - a quickie on the lips with a little bit of tongue.
  23. just wondering, is this the case with the majority of women?
