Western Armenians do understand Eastern Armenian. I may not be a literary giant yet (because I'm only a teenager), but soon, through reading and studying, I will become a literary Armenian, who speaks the Western Armenian dialect.

I understand that, but I just think that if you have strong feelings about this huge goal, you should start some kind of group of people, which would organize contacting Armenia, looking for the people who would make the dictionary, etc. But only if you want to, of course.

Nayiri, do you know how to contact the linguistics deparment in Armenia? It seems like it would be very hard to find their phone number on the internet (or maybe not, it depends really).

Anyway, I think nayiri.com is an excellent website for Western Armenians who need to increase their vocabulary and spelling skills. And I don't see why some Eastern Armenians are mad about this, especially since there's a substantially larger amount of Eastern Armenian online dictionaries than Western Armenian online dictionaries. In fact, this might be the only Western Armenian online dictionary, and the spell checking makes it a lot more useful! So fellow Armenians, please stop fighting and just accept the fact that Eastern and Western Armenian are both equal dialects, and therefore, should be treated and recognized in the same manner. Thank you.
