Turkey's blockade against armenia has cost armenia between 570 and 722 millon dollar a year. That number should be compared to the aid armenia recieves, wich at the year of 1999 was estimated to 140 million dolllar. The blockade against armenia does not only cost money for Us but it costs much amount of money from turkey as well as azerbadjian. A normalization would be positive for all countries. meaning that both turkey and azerbadjian would gain to cease the blockade against armenia. The world bank has estimated that Armenias GNP would increase 30%-38% and the countries export would become twice as much."

The Capitalistic system lives on doing profit over people. In todays world people count for nothing while capital counts for everything. Is there any other way to explain it how while according to the UN" the assets of the 200 richest people are more than the combined income of 41% of the world's people." The result: 17 million children die every year of easily prevented deseases. The rules of competition and profit which today we are meant to worship means that if it doesn't turn a profit it's not worth doing.

well turkey and USA are allies meaning they have the same sort of politics, at leeast foreign politics. The economical blockade of both armenia and cuba has led to very serious consequenses and damage to both countries. How else would turkey be such a rich contry. How else would USA be such a rich country, -by using poor people to work for them in poor currondings and with a small pay check. By stealing in other words. Stealing oil from iraq, causing chaos in iraq, in afghanistan...and thousands of peoples death. Dont forget that Saddam Hussein was put in power by the USA. They knew what sort of a man he was from the beginning they had the same goals, at least at first...but then he turned against them... The only goal america has with its foreign politics is to cause chaos so they can more easilty come to power and run the country. This is politics my friend, the very harsh truth. Jipii America
  4. Bell the cat. Id rather say the opposite its just turkish propaganda, actually the situation is much worse than you think it is. During the soviet union they gave away nakhietjvan and Artsahk, as you all are aware of, to Azerbadjian. Everyone did everything, to try to let go of the past, No nationalistic dreams So smooth things up, and kiss there asses(sorry for the use of words) some more they gave it to the turks (azerbadjian). Armenian monuments, even in Georgia, are subject to real"censorship" of the goverment in Georgia, monuments wich originally are "armenian" are beeing subject to censorship, like churches... More than hundreds of them, they may not be destroyed but a la turkish style, they come up with another story behind the church. and of course its "georgian" in origin. And in many cases if there is an armenain inscription for example replaced it with other writings in georgian.Anyhow, I think that Georgia and Armenia has to much in common historically and culturally, we are like brothers and sisters, to make a big fuss out of it. But somethings is wrong to say the least they should show some respect to history, as we all are aware of the past forms the future. I have a documentation at home wich deals with this issue, in a more detailed and specific way. Wich I hope to find and post here later.
  5. Im sorry but how low is the unemployment in USA? So socialist countries are boring? Bash the socialist countries they are boring!? I can imagine that the poor and homeless people of america would feel diffrently about living in USA. The poor living anywhere actually. And trust me, in sweden today, we see more and more rich people... I mean REALLY rich. Then dont come to Europe for vacation. And why visit armenia? ...Why live there? Boring..

well, all these third world countries are beeing used by the capitalist countries, thats why they are so poor. So it doesn't count when people in america are hungry? Just when it's in russia or somewhere else? USA brainwash its citizens just as turkey does. USA:s economic blockade can be compared to Turkeys -Cuba and Armenia.. the are the same chicken ***
  7. Oh! Is there anyone here like me who adores and loves armenian icecream? Its the most delicious icecream I'v tasted! "Shant" bakhbaghak ev aylen with cappuchino flavour mmm halleluja!
  8. when does he stop eating?
  9. I agree with Anoshik our culture and nation is seperate from the genocide we have been through many hardships as a people through history,,, I dont believe that aknowleading the genocide will be a reality, turkey would never do that. and neither will the USA or Israel.. because everything that is going on today in the world is directly related to this problem! The so called "kurdish population" in western armenia, the karabahk conflict and the israel conflict they are all driven with the same politics... That turkey, and USA has had for decades.. And Artsahk, I for once, would never how doubted that we would get artsahk??? What do you mean??! its not about doubt, if Turkey and other chicken republics in the world comes to reason and realizes that they are wrong...we woudnt have this problem.. an armenian could not doubt that they will "get back" artsahk ,because then we would have lost our lands. And the question is not about land either. I hope for a recognisation but... a recognistion for ME AND ARMENIA means a lot of things... that will be heaven on earth -we all hope for that day..to come...

  13. Biography: Michael Arlen 1895–1956, English novelist, b. Bulgaria as Dikran Kuyumjian. The son of Armenian parents, he was brought to England as a child. In 1922 he became a British subject and changed his name, and in 1928 he married Countess Atalanta Mercati. Arlen is best remembered for his fantastically successful novel (and play) The Green Hat (1924), which depicts the licentious postwar life of fashionable London society. His characters are disillusioned, cynical, and witty. Although sophisticated, the novel is ultimately sentimental. Arlen's novels depicted the mood of the 1920s, and by the 30s he was no longer read. His last novel, Flying Dutchman, appeared in 1939. See the biography Exiles (1970) by his son Michael J. Arlen.
  14. When privete persons armenians or others, or well-experienced armenian companies or organizations want to help armenia, I think they know where or how to use their money The goverment in armenia is more currupt. Here in sweden voleneers who are all swedish socialworkers are without any pay working for armenia to help develope and teach them diffrent methods and give them econimcal help. They do this totaly on their free time volenteerly. The red cross helps children in armenia, everyone is sweden who sends money little of them go to that special hospital were there also is swedish workers who helps the armenians. there is plenty of examples where planty of work is done and help is given to help to build armenia in one or anther way! There were plenty of them working with repearing the streets etc. while I was there anyway I know that many is finansed with money from for example rich armenians like Mr. Kirk Kirkorian.
  15. The money goes to built armenia -roads, bridges, houses, and goes to diffrent helporgansiations and voleenteer organizations.
  16. Actually it wasnt a long time ago. Armenians who have belongings in turkey, housees etc. have trouble with the turkish goverment , I have heard of cases were they are neglected there right to their parents or families property. its not a few rich armenians properties we are discussing. It is our hole rich history, our culture, and lands that we have been deprived of.
  17. Bell the cat, anoshik and america hye has made very good comments concerning your question.. I can't solve the problem! but the goverment of armenia can
  18. I agree, very well said Sev- mard. but in that case i think we can count the male as feeling the same way as the girls, not wanting to marry someone out of its on culture! Personally I think there are a lot of types of armenians. Some good some bad, people who are complete opposites of one another. I dont think we can generalize armenians, We are so scattered around the world, and socialize with different enthic groups and cultures, and types of armenians really various...
  19. instead of writing about genocides, like the armenian one. Swedish newspapers ( D N the most popular) wrote about TURKEY and their famous bath in todays news. Funny how it can turn out, isn't it?
  20. that is exacly what I meant. <_< Read my more recent posts. Yeah, the goverment of armenia is corrupt u got that right.
  21. Hi I just want to be sure what youre discussing, is it Armenian women Not wanting to marry armenian men?
