  1. Unfortunately I didn't get to see that game, only highlights. The crappy BBC only highlights the olypics with only few live actions. Russia, though has a great chance to win the olympics in hockey.
  2. Russia vs USA Ice Hockey: 2-2 I thought russians would win.
  3. Juggernaut, the first minute the russians move their troops out of Abkhazia, the georgian guariallas will atack Abkhazia and liberate it. Even if the regular army and government will not intervene, there are forces who will atack, especially the fanatic swans who can atack Abkhazia any minute. But that's not the case. The issue is different from Pankisi region. There are few chechens resting there and it is the only enterance for international "muslim volunteers" to get into Chechnya. Do you know that 60% of the fighter in Chechnya are foreigners? Idiots that don't realize that there is no war but money making place, and Chechens using them for their own interest. I personally think that Georgia should co-operate and wipe out the chechens out of that region. Chechens are rats, the biggest traitors in the Caucasus. Let me remind you that in 92 they were fighting among Abkhazians to "lebarate muslim" lands. They were also in brotherhood with Daghestanis, with whom they were fighting for centuries against russian ocupators during the 19th-20th century. But in 96 they atacked few viliges in Daghestand, killing innocent women and children. Thus, it is up to Georgians to either ignore them or to co-operate with either russians or americans. Highfyier, 40% of the inhabitants of the Caucasus are christians. [ February 17, 2002: Message edited by: ARTURian ]

  5. Flash News Georgia is the forth country included in the "axis of evil" : )) Dozens of al-Qaida militants or Taliban fighters have fled Afghanistan and moved into the fragile post-Soviet state of Georgia, according to US and Russian officials who are pressing the government of President Eduard Shevardnadze to strike at the radicals' alleged mountain redoubts in the north of the country. Russian intelligence sources said that Pakistani, Arab and Pashtun Taliban fighters had recently sought refuge in the rugged Pankisi Gorge in northern Georgia, close to the border with Chechnya. The senior US diplomat in Tbilisi said Washington wanted to train counter-terrorist forces in Georgia to tackle the problem. In an interview with a Georgian newspaper this week, the US chargé d'affaires in Tbilisi, Philip Remler, said that scores of al-Qaida and Taliban fighters had scattered across the Caucasus. The Russians have long maintained that the Pankisi Gorge, an area where the Tbilisi government's writ does not run, is a vital corridor for Chechen rebel fighters and foreign Islamists infiltrating Chechnya to the north to fight the Russians. Mr Remler's remarks amounted to Washington's first announcement of similar claims. "As for al-Qaida, according to our information, several tens of Mojahedin fled from Afghanistan and are now hiding in the Caucasus," he said. "We are also aware that some of them are hiding in the Pankisi Gorge and are in contact with Al-Khattab, an Arab terrorist. The latter, for his part, is connected with Osama bin Laden. The Pankisi Gorge is an extremely dangerous place for Georgia." Khattab is a prominent Arab mercenary and warlord, intimately involved in the war in Chechnya against the Russians for the past two-and-a-half years. Although usually described as a Jordanian, Khattab, according to Russian intelligence, is a Saudi-born militant and millionaire who trained with Bin Laden in the early 90s in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The intense pressure from Washington and Moscow - rivals for influence in Georgia in recent years but now making common cause in the war on terrorism - appears to have triggered a U-turn in Tbilisi, which in the past has tended to ridicule Russian claims about fighters, funds, and arms flowing from Georgia into Chechnya. Last weekend Georgia's security minister, Valery Khaburzania, revealed that a Saudi and a Jordanian had been detained on suspicion of trying to establisha terrorist base in the Pankisi Gorge. He also said militants from Chechnya and the Middle East were in the gorge. Mr Khaburzania said those detained were seeking "to create an illegal guerrilla group in the Pankisi Gorge and commit terrorist acts on Russian territory". Russia's defence minister, Sergei Ivanov, voiced satisfaction that the Georgian author ities were now conceding there was a problem. "It is one thing to say something and another thing doing something," hesaid. A Russian intelligence official said: "The Georgians are in a very difficult situation. They can't cope with this. And this filtration route has to be closed." The Russians claim there are up to 2,000 fighters, mainly Chechens, in the gorge, and that they have two helicopters used to ferry men and material over the mountains into Chechnya. An analysis this week from a US thinktank, the Central Asia Caucasus Institute, noted that the collapse of the Taliban could have a negative impact in Georgia. The organisation said: "If illegal groups dealing with international terrorism, [the] narcotics trade and other forms of activities that shun government control are forced to leave Afghanistan and look for new countries with a weak government, Georgia may be an option. "Georgia is the easiest country in the region for illegal business _ The Pankisi Gorge is only one example of an area where armed formations control the situation without any influence from Tbilisi." The US defence secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, visited Tbilisi in December and Mr Remler this week pledged a US military role in the region. "We have elaborated a plan concerning the rendering of military support to the Ministry of Defence of Georgia," Mr Remler said. "Despite the fact that this assistance does not exactly cover the above field, we aim to create counter-terrorist forces within this ministry." · A Saudi-born Palestinian terrorist known as Abu Zubeidah has reportedly taken over as al-Qaida's chief of operations and is attempting to rally the group's surviving cells to carry out more attacks against the US , writes Julian Borger . The New York Times quoted US investigators as saying that Mr Zubeidah, 30, had taken over the role of Mohamed Atef, an Egyptian who was believed to have masterminded the details of the September 11 attack and who was killed by a US bomb in Afghanistan. 6. Jeggernaut: Iran supports the Hezbullah... Whether Iran supports them or not, I dont know There is no need for accusing Iran in such things you don't know. There is no logic. ASALA is an armenian organisation, and if tommorow americans regard it terrorist, from your logic they have the full right to bomb Armenia, including kidnergardens and schools ? By starting a war against Iran or Iraq, you will gain nothing but more hate from all arabs and the muslims ... plus the problems for another 100 years, including more terrorist acts (mark my word).
  7. Iran does not support Hesbollah. It is disinformation. There might be some people who do, but govrnment does not. Tell me who in arabic world is not anti-israeli or anti-american? Only few, but people about 95% hate jews. Also it is politically incorrect for americans to participate in peace talks between Irael and Palestine.
  8. LoL, just so the note on the main page of Armenians.com Let me remind that there is no so-called St. Valentine in Armenian religious calender, and thus has no connection with Armenia at all.
  9. Well, now even in the US there are complaints about Bush adding those coutries to the so-called "axis of evil". I just wonder who writes the script for him. He can't be serious. With this type of statement... accusing one and/or another coutry, the USA is digging a whole under themselves. About Afghanistan, generally what they are doing is right. Indeed fighting talibans will crash the terrorist network which support terrorist actions and muslim "freedom fighters" around the world including Chechnya, Kosovo, Kashmir, Palestine. But America should not start its war against other countries. Iran has no relations with Talibans. It is non-sence. Talibans are wahhabis who call themselves sunnite muslims. And they hate shia muslims of Iran. I seriously doubt any connections between Afghani talibans and Iranians. America has problems with Iran, because of their attitudes towards the USA and nothing more.
  10. What did you expect? We don't even have "proper" snow back home. The most important is participation not the winning. There is no chance that Armenia will get a medal.
  11. disinformation ... it is not possible AZG writers first should learn geography and then publish news. [ February 13, 2002: Message edited by: ARTURian ]

  14. Guys, amazing ... I am sitting in library and there is one black girl next to me. She went away from her computer and on her desktop there is System of a Down wallpaper ::: ))) These guys are becoming big around the world. One greek guy also told me about them. :: ) What kind music are they playing? Antichrist - anarchist staff or just normal rock ? Do they have their own website?
  15. Talibans themselves are regarded as Wahhabis... as maijority of chechens who are fighting against Russia.

  18. Lisa, first of all my wife would never cheat, it is something not even imaginable. I don't know how it is in your families but in ours women don't cheat. If you ask question then adress it as for general matter. Answer: If woman cheats on her man, it is impossible to forgive. It is something regarded as unforgivable. If woman cheats and they are, let say, married but there are no kids yet, i think the best sollution is to send her back to her parents. Disrace is upon her and her parents. That would make no sence if you continue to leave with this type of woman. If there are kids, that would make it more complecated. Regards. [ February 10, 2002: Message edited by: ARTURian ]
  19. Guys, wouldn't be better if enter Hyeforum chat Every 5 minutes there are answers ... I will be in chat, come for live discussions.
  20. Lisa, sorry. I didn't read your previous post. I trully can't picture any woman in our surname cheating on their husbands. But nevertheless, i will answer your question. If a woman cheats, for the sake of family father should try not break the family as a whole. The forgiveness is out of question. You can't forgive this. But kids should not be growing without mother or father. Therefore they should try to stay within the family, even though it might be very difficult. That's my opinion. I regard the purpose of life is to give happier and better future for your kids than you've had. And when you make any kind of decisions you should first think of kids and only then about yourself.
  21. quote:Originally posted by PandukhT: Juggernautjan - you need to go to Armenian ASAP - Qyavar (BAyazet) teak some courses on drinking than it will be 50/50X10 + 100/100X10 then >> 100Xtoilet bowl >>> mi bajak noyak cherner xmeyinq? ))) True true. That's probably why instead of letter A they all say letter O Took me some while to get used to their Armenian. Juggernaut, the drinking in less amounts are for pleasure of taste and for occasions as customs. I don't like vodka, i prefer cognac and wine. I love georgian wine, was in Georgia this summer for 4 days. And both cognac and wine are good for your health, especially wine.
  22. Thoth, do you understand that with your offensive messages you make yourself look redicilous. I will not do the same. Not type of my character. But what disterbed you and made you call everything you said? That according to christianity your views are immoral? Man, it is obvious for anyone who read bible. Man, be serious. You have a wife, i guees kids as well. I will not reply to your offensive messeges, i am too old for these childish moves. It is difficult even comment what you say because most of you said stated incorrectly and in offensive way. You ask if we think wether you'll go to hell. This type of question is not just incorrect but makes no sense to any christian. Why? Because only God judges who will go to hell and who will go to heaven, i am his slave and as Tigrannes is and nothing more. Thus, you might go to heaven, and we might be in hell. Only God knows and he sees what we are doing on what we have done. God is Merciful, God is Powerfull, God is the Greatest. God bless you and your wife and your children! Artur P.S. When you say evil, it reminded me of George Bush saying always "evil doers", not knowing what they do and which is evil and which is not. [ February 07, 2002: Message edited by: ARTURian ]
  23. We discussed this about mounth ago. Kids are very sensetive to the problems between husband and wife. Divorce can seriously damage kids'. Divorce should not be an option. As i agreed previously in this forum, the case of man beating his wife is of the lowest thing a man can do. And you can't call a man being one if he raises his hand over his wife. In this case the divorce might be understandable sollution to the problem, especially if kids get to see that... so, i do agree. yes... [ February 07, 2002: Message edited by: ARTURian ]
