actually, armenians do not at all have the same attitude as the turks. we are fighting to preserve ourselves, to make justice and so on, our cause it nothing less then noble. turks fight to expand their imperialism and destruction to other nations

hmmm... cairo was under turkish authority until the british kicked them out. and the cia factbook is usually known to be a credible source, but for many middle eastern and caucasian countries it is not always correct, mostly because it is hard to collect data from these areas, not to mention that this census has been made prior to 2005. im sure the official numbers of the armenian ministries would be more proper. just because turkey had a state does not mean turks had freedom...there is such a thing as an oppressive authoritarian state. why is islam decentralised? because the young turks killed the kalif in 1908 (or what ever).

‘wilsonian Borders’ There Is No Other Document On Armenian-turkish Bo
hosank replied to MosJan's topic in Republic of Armenia
i don't need a wilsonian border to go to armenia, and i don't need an excuse not to live there. im already planning to live there once i finish my studies. but yes, we deserve wilsonian armenia -
yes cultural tourism.. my uncle is doing that in the village where he lives, in yerheknadzor. he invited a dancetroup wearing traditional armenian clothes to mingle with the inhabitants of the village. the villagers set up dinner tables for a nice traditional armenian kef. and brought out hand made crafts in order to sell to tourists. my uncle then brought over a busload of tourists from europe and north america. the dancers came out of houses and started dancing with the newly arrived people. my uncle had planned everything, the people had a good taste of armenian culture, dancing and food, they were able to bring some of it home with them as they bought. here are it's benefits: tourists: they got to see a magnificent culture that they have never encountered before, a culture that has not been too influenced by the outside world or the soviets like yerevan. (i mean lets face it boys, we have quite a beautiful culture, lets show it to the world) they got to bring home cheap yet beautiful mandmade artifacts, and had stories to tell their friends for them to go. armenian villagers: they got to meet people from abroad, they got to sell their stuff and so on. if we think about it, most of the wealth is in yerevan right now, the villages outside have nothing. this is their way to make money, through trade. armenia has so much to show, we must simply organise tourism better, destroy the old soviet-ness to it.

most monuments are in good condition, i inspected them myself, lol, trust me see, now all the diasporans are coming, because, for 75 years, their nation was cut from existence. now they want to see it. when i was in armenia recently, i noticed lots of french, and swiss and even a couple frenchcanadians, who were visiting. point being that armenia will become with time, an interesting tourist destination for western europeans and so on... thats what european university kids do, the go east

we must not forget also that azerbaijan's population is 3 times larger, and azerbaijan's only resource is oil, wait till that dries up my friend yes, van was under the OTTOMAN EMPIRE before 1915, but was not TURKISH..do you get it? cairo was also taken by the ottomans, why don;t you consider it a turkish city? you know how many foes the arstaxtsi fighters faced? they were outnumberd 5 to 1, yet, the casualty rates were 5 to one, 5 being azeris... strength is not simply balanced in numbers. obviously morale isn't the only thing either...but...it counts for alot. how many diasporan armenians helped in the war? many, people from all over the world, from the us, from canada, from australia went to armenia to fight. i just saw a movie called "un voyage en armenie" it's about an armenian woman from france who rediscovers her roots..but, at one point, a soldier who fought in artsax said that, after, the genocide, and the loss of their lands, the soviets gave karabakh to the azeris, the azeris tried to whipe out an old culture from it's lands. the armenians revolted and the azeris reacted with pogroms. he said that karabakh became the centre of defiance for all armenians, the last stand for our national identity, the banner of armenian resistance, the revenge for 1915" men from all over the world fought,. at least they had a cause to fight for, the interational force on the azeri side were, afgan mujahedins, mercenaries and so on.

another thing... you say that armenia is not included in any development projects, yet, who's blocade is preventing that? actually, armenian good go through georgia, and the president of georgia is half armenian. georgians simply don't want to cooperate with russians then, we have access to ports like abkazia and so on. anyways, if you say armenia is so troubled economically?, why does armenia have the largest GDP in the caucasus?...yes, even more then the oil filthy azeris you know what, here is what makes armenia 5 times smarter then the hippies next door: armenia built it's economy on renewable things, and service sector. azerbaijan has built it's, completely on oil. guess what, azeri oil reserves are not that great, and they will disapear. what will happen then? your good american and russian friends will lose interest, your economy will plunder and azerbaijan will be finished

Indeed, but at least we have freedom to choose hand that we will kiss. what about you? you are a loyal kisser of Russian hand(It dont help you much) and you have no freedom to kiss other hands. hmm....what hand kissing freedom do you really have?....lets see, you must kiss the islamists hands if you don't want an islamic revolution, you must kiss the facsists and the militarists hands, you must kiss the nationalists hands, you kissed the soviet hands before 1991 now you kiss the american hand. you must also kiss the european hand to get your little, islamo turkick country into the the european clique. it is also interesting that those who take away our freedom critisise us for not having it, yet we have more freedom then you do so, ....

van is not a turkish city, van has not been taken by traditional and fair warfare, it's population which was till armenian after turkey, was destroyed... morale is still one of the most effective forces in a modern army. want proof?..look at irak,...look at soldiers morale and look at their effectiveness, even thought they are the strongest army in the world. see, almost every armenian has a relative that has been genocided, or killed by azeris, every armenian has a personal cause. how many turks from istambul would willingly fight for some small shithole like azerbaijan? all that this place does is drain turkish money and resources... i never said the armenian military would take the turkish army head-on, this will be gradual. i am not also in favour of promt military action against turkey. im quite aware that this would be foolish.

when the time will come, i will be the first to put my foot on naxichevani soil, over the corpses of dead azeri pigs. why did we not go to baku?: 1st...Armenia was never at war with the Վայրագ Անմարդկային. it was a war of independence and sovereignty fought between armenians and azeris. that is why armenia never literally intervened. obviously armenia sent weapons, volunteers and supplies. but the point is that it is not supposed to look like a land invaded by a neigbhouring nation. now...oh so constantinople ( or your trash istambul) is more turkish then ankara? yes....hmm...im sure the ancient greeks and the roman emperors had turks in mind when designing it,.. 1500 years before turks ever came into existence. ah lord of the rings...nice movie...the book was better though. you obviously are not very skilled in the art of war my friend...you seem to forget that morale is a huuge player in war. armenians don't lack it, considering war would mean the deaths of the turkish and azeri murderers who caused so much pain. why did armenia not invade naxichevan when they had the chance? they did think of it, and they massed troops there for sure. but, the turkish bastards were smart in negotiations with the soviet sluts. they reshaped the borders of armenia in order to have a border with the other Վայրագ Անմարդկային. this meant that in an event of a war, turkey would invade the whole thing, and that was what they were going to do yet, 2 more facts to consider: 1, under international law, it would have been a breach of sovereignty of azerbaijan..as gay that it seems, we must understand that the greater victory for armenia is having the international community on it's side. second, armenia was in the middle of a war on one front..they were not about to start another, which would widen the war to the entire caucasus, and later the middleeast and the world... what do the jews have to do with armenia? why do you always talk about the jews? they have NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS one thing we must understand, is that it is pointless to be reckless. we must watch our tongue, we must be the more intelligent, the more civilized, we must not look like the turkick animals. the time of liberation will come, it might be through arms, but what will lead to it will be by armenian's even greater quality, speech. obviously we will give nothing to the azeri pigs, no negotications. we must go forward, not backwards

personal liberty ends where that of another begins. so obviously, if smoking in a crouded area, where it is proven that it is directly harming those around you, then you have violated the liberty of the people around you. but, at the same time, if a person who does not smoke goes into an area in full knowledge of the smoking activity there and aware that it may harm him, it is his fault. banning smoking in the streets? why don't they just ban cars? they pollute more then cigarettes and are a hundred times more harmful. the government can't just tell people what to do and not do. i say, we go on a continent-wide anti-hippie rampage!

where in the US do you live?
-
yes, but you forget the basic fact that it is already in the current armenian government's interests to comply with the united states when it comes to a war with iran. azerbaijan would not allow it anyways. south of azerbaijan is iranian azerbaijan where some 10 million azeris live, an american invasion would go through there, and thus, with azeri alliance to the US, would jeapordise the savety of azeris living in iran, somewhat similar to the situation before world war one in turkish armenia. either way, armenia would rather trade it's so called 'friendship' with iran for the states any day, simply because such an alliance to a superower would check the turkish influence on the USA. yes prowestern changes happen, but they are usually set by a willingness to get away from russia and it's representation of reawakening soviet power. these changes are committed internally the thing with armenia, is that it is already pro-western. it is still under russian influence, but an influence it is trying to brake. in a sense, it is welcome only because russia assures armenia's security. armenia's economic and privatisation systems have been modeled on american systems. the US has the biggest embassy in the world in armenia. the present administration is already proamerican, as i said, they offered airbases to the US in the 2003 invasion of irak and so on. Armenia is the 3rd largest receiver of american aid. what was mentioned in the article is pointless because it speaks of an american government conspiracy to overthrow the existing armenian government. but, what would be the purpose of doing so anyways?

europe...funny place....they were civilised till their islamo-communist social revolutions of the 60s, now they are just part of the middle east, with a few white people living among millions of muslim pigs. azeris should stop invading their neighbours lands. armenia never invaded azerbaijan. it was the armenians of azerbaijan who revolted
