  1. Thanks Grikor. In relation: Armenia ratifies Protocol No. 6 to the European Convention on Human Rights: Declaration by the Chairman-in-Office of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers 29/09/2003 | Council of Europe -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Strasbourg, 29.09.2003 – “29 September 2003 is an important date both for Armenia and for the Council of Europe. In depositing the ratification instruments for Protocol No. 6 to the European Convention on Human Rights abolishing the death penalty in peacetime with the Secretary General, my Armenian colleague, Vartan Oskanyan, has made irreversible the historic decision by his country’s parliament to abolish the death penalty in Armenia. This brings us a little closer to achieving one of the Council of Europe’s fundamental objectives, namely eliminating the death penalty for good from the whole of Europe”, said the Chairman of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers and Moldovan Foreign Minister Nicolae Dudau today. “Armenia undertook to abolish the death penalty when it joined the Council on 25 January 2001. I am delighted that that political commitment has now become a legal reality. The fact that the Minister for Foreign Affairs himself deposited the ratification instruments makes it all the more significant. I see it as a sign of the Armenian authorities’ determination to continue and step up their efforts to honour all the commitments they made three years ago. They know that they can count on the Council of Europe’s unrelenting support in this respect”, Mr Dudau added. “Armenia’s decision to abolish the death penalty came a few weeks after the entry into force, on 1 July, of Protocol No. 13 abolishing the death penalty in all circumstances. I would take this opportunity to call on those Council of Europe member states which have not already done so, to sign or ratify that protocol as quickly as possible”, concluded the Chairman of the Committee of Ministers.
  2. I really don't know to be honest but I was taught that saying "im" as opposed to "indz" is ankirt and brings me a step closer to using corruptions such as "khi", "esi", "eni" and crap like that.
  3. Chechens ready to assist Azeris in Artsax front 14.10.2003 01:04 YEREVAN. (YERKIR). - If the situation on the Artsax border escalates, the Chechens will be fighting against Armenians, Maribek Tamarov, a Chechen human rights activist currently residing in Baku told the Baku-based newspaper Echo. "I know from the mood of Chechens that in case of a confrontation, the Chechens would be on the front line for the Azerbaijani independence fight," Tamarov was quoted as saying. He also said he regretted that the Azerbaijani authorities yielded before Russia's pressure, and did not allow representatives of Chechens to take part in a Council of Europe sponsored seminar held in Baku on October 6 to 11. "You cannot trust the Russian delegation. Rushailo says one thing, and Putin discusses other things with the Armenians," he added, referring to the statement by Rushailo, Secretary of Russia's Security Council, who, during his recent visit to Baku, discussed with the Azerbaijani authorities the issue of banning the Chechen organizations in Azerbaijan. In 1993-1994, along with Afghanis, many Chechens were fighting against the Artsax forces with some of them captured by the Armenians. In his 1995 TV interview to a Russian TV channel, field commander Shamil Basayev had confessed that the defeat at Martakert in Artsax was his only defeat. http://www.yerkir.am/eng/index.php?sub=new...ews_arm&id=3611
  4. That suka should be hanged in a public square. The Armenian government removed the so called "Holocaust" monument and sold the area to a summer cafe last year.
  5. I have a better one.I met this Armenian kid in Watertown and the poor kid's name is Khaghak.I can only imagine the costant ridicule he has to endure.I am not even sure it is Armenian. That is why I named my kid Arvan (real Armenian name)stayed clear of Jews and the bible and Koran Khaghak? Not Armenian? Sure sounds a lot like city. Arvan is a superior name, good job.
  6. Madonna is into kaballah, some perverted jewish spiritual ritualistic religion, not mainstream judaism. I used to be an atheist, even though I was raised a Protestant but these days i'm rediscovering my Christian roots.
  7. I think that the entire site requires more research as far as I know the excavations have ceased. I'm certain that there are many more hidden treasures awaiting discovery and with proper funding that site can be turned into a global wonder. Some private individuals conduct their own research in Armenia, in one of my recent trips to Yerevan I met a physicist Karen Tokhatian who was documenting cavepaintings and inscriptions. Very interesting stuff. Here's more: -The Hidden Origins of the World Civilizations- -Metsamor Civilization and Kar Hunge- Written by Grigor Hakobyan (webmaster) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Through out the last two hundred years, hundreds of world scholars have spent thousands of hours of in-depth scholastic research, in their pursuits to identify the unique birthplace of the world civilizations; The birthplace of the first human intelligence in the world. From the Siberian mountains of Ural to the Sub-Saharan Africa, from the Sub-Tropical jungles of Peru to the warm shores of the Mediterranean/Adriatic, from the highest tops of the Himalayas to the soaring twins of the Mt. Ararat, the beginning of the first human civilization have been pre-supposed. But the highly sophisticated archaic ruins of the Mestamor, lying at the heart of the Armenian Highland emerged to be the most likely of them all. Extensive archeological finds of obsidian instruments roughly fashioned by the primitive man indicate ancient human settlements in Armenia, dating back to the Old Stone Age (Abbevillian culture) and further onwards. Thus, the archaic history of the human race begins to unravel in Armenia, dating back to 500,000 years ago. The earliest civilization that has been found in Armenia, and is believed to be the first in the world is the Metsamor Civilization, which is dating back to around 5,000 BCE. The ancient capital of the Metsamor kingdom is located on the area of 26 acres, which consists of a cyclopic stonewalls, citadel within them and a vast cosmic observatory. The fortress of Metsamor is further enhanced by a large series of oval shaped dwellings along with adjacent buildings and an underground tunnels. The "heavenly" knowledge of metal processing thought to be received from the pre-deluvial "gods" of the ancients was the most sophisticated of its kind ever found to be of that time period. Metsamor was known to have processed a high-grade gold, copper, and various types of bronze, strychnine, manganese, zinc, mercury and iron. Metal goods made in the Metsamor were highly valued and widely known by its surrounding cultures, stretching out as far as Central Asia, Chine, India and Egypt. Around 11BCE, Metsamor city-capital grew to occupy 247 acres of land, extending itself up to the Lake Akna. Some 500 m. southwest of the citadel, archeologists have found another stretch of land, about 247 acres big, hosting ancient dwellings enough to accommodate about 75, 000 people. A city of such size rivaled any those of the archaic world. Another swat of land, around 200 acres big, located next to the city constitutes to be the main burial ground of the archaic Metsmorians, where archeologists have managed to retrieve the remnants of 30, 000 people. Very interesting commonality with the Egyptians that Metsamorians had was to burry the rich and noble people separately, just like the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. However, such distinction have helped to avoid grave robbers, thus providing scholars with a significant amount of information into the traditions and burial rights of the deceased on their way to the afterlife. Armenia's Fertile Crescent was located in the land between rivers, the famous Tigris and Euphrates, further encompassing the land behind the Arax River. However, within the Ararat valley, a much smaller crescent of land still bearing the marshland once covering the entire Ararat Valley is found. One of the oldest settlements found in Armenia, beyond Erevan extend to the caves and stone-inscriptions found on the Geghama Ler (Mt), where only few sites have so far been excavated. The metal ore mined in Armenia was the purest in the world that resulted in the formation of a culture, where the use of metal idols and building of temples made out of metal have been widely practiced. Their complex cosmic observatories made out of stone stood proudly, charting the vastness and enormity of the nightly sky. Kar Hunge-The Armenian Stone Henge Since time immemorial, humans have pondered their origins. Throughout history many cultures have held various beliefs on the subject. Theorizing and believing everything from stellar origins, to creation in the heavens. All such curiosity and speculation has fueled mankind’s ancient curiosity and interest for astronomy. The earliest signs of astronomic study in Armenia date back to the copper-bronze Ages (5000-2000BCE). They are found at the archeological sites of Metsamor and Geghama Ler. Pictograms and highly complex celestial iconography along with the early Zodiac sings carefully inscribed on the rocks of Geghama Ler and the ancient dwellings of the Metsamorians. Furthermore, two major observatories found at the excavation sites indicate a highly developed astronomic awareness of the ancient Armenians, who decorated the sites with lithographic representations of various constellations as well as a calendar consisting of 365 days. The first observatory found at the Metsamor site has a definite orientation towards a bright star, now known as Sirius. It is suggested, due to evidence collected at this site, that inhabitants of Metsamor celebrated the beginning of the new year with the spring solstice. As well, various inscriptions found at the observatory coincide with modern western zodiac signs of the Aries, Capricorn, Leo and Taurus. There is even work that very strongly indicates that these ancient Armenians envisioned the earth as a sphere. Very little has been learned about ancient Armenian civilization as relatively little archeological work has been undertaken. Also, much knowledge has been lost forever due to mishandling and even state-sponsored vandalism and demolition of ancient Armenian sites which lie outside of Armenia’s current borders. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Evolution of the World Alphabets", by Dr.Armen Melkonyan "The Book of Stars", by Dr.Edward Sargissyan "In the World of Laws and Measurments", by Dr.Suren Aivazyan "From the History of Ancient Armenia", by Dr.Suren Aivazyan "The History of Armenian People", by Dr. Leon Babakhanyan "The Armenian History", by Armenia's National Accademy of Sciences (1971) HAYK National Institute (www.arminco.com/Armenia/haik.html) (http://www.arminco.com/hayknet/cult-e.htm)
  8. I think "ayri" means noble.
  9. I wouldn't say it's a very popular name. Certainly it's rare to come by a guy with that name. I don't think it's that bad considering there was Movses Khorenatsi. There aren't any Moshes or shit like that...well except a certain hagarag.

  12. That's a good point. I have to remind people constantly that: a) Armenians are not "Caucasian/Kavkaz" people. Caucasian armenia is less tahn 10% of actual Armenia. We need to work on the timeline and go even further back than 1350 BC. Since Greek history starts from Mycaeneans and Minoans with proto-Greeks going even further back we can starts Armenian history with Metsamor! 9,000 B.C., the world’s first fortified cities, ramparts and round-shaped military towers are erected in Metsamor in ancient Armenia. In 6,000 B.C., Armenia as a nation was first settled by the Thracian-Phrygian tribes that crossed in Anatolia from the Balkans. Early 5,000 B.C., the first technologically urbanized Armenian city is born, thanks to the advanced knowledge and mastery of metallurgy, mining of precious stones, gems, gold, silver and magnesium, and metal work (bronze and copper). Beginning of 5,000 B.C., ancient Armenian cities are equipped with advanced irrigation systems and houses are supplied with running water through stone pipes in Dari Blur, Aratashen Blur, Ada Blur and Teghut. 5,000 B.C., Armenians in the city of Shengavit create the world’s first round shaped dwellings made out of mud brick, river stones and pottery. Many centuries later, the Armenians will teach the Minoans (mistakenly considered as to be the world’s first and best pottery makers and designers!) the secret of their craft. In fact, the Armenians were the ancient world’s first and best pottery makers and designers In 4,200 B.C., in Metsamor, Armenians create the world’s first navigation system with accurate distances, latitude and longitude measurements, graphs and symbols, as well as topography and mapping systems and tools to map the sky and the stars. In Sissian, the world’s first astrological observatory is built from carved stones, thousands of years ahead of the Babylonians, Egyptians and other great ancient civilizations. In 4,000 B.C., Armenia began mining metals. Around 3,000 B.C., the Hayasa-Azzi tribes first inhabit Urartu. 3,000 B.C., in the Armenian cities of Voski Blur, MokhraBlur, Kosh, Lejapi Blur and Jerahovit, Armenians become the world’s first astronomers to find that the earth was round, to build n observatory, to create an astrological calendar dividing the year into 12 partitions of time and to devise the compass. 13. Very interesting thread Gamavor. You have to get this book The Making of Byzantium, 600-1025 by Mark Whittow. More than half the book is about Armenians and Armenian influence in the Empire.
  14. I didn't know about that. In any case "Gyumri" is a stupid name and sounds foreign. Alexandropole is Hellenic however it is preferable to oriental names. Kumayri is a 100% Armenian name, it sounds great too! They oughta do something about "Gegharkounik"
18. Armenia is the South-East European frontier!!! That's right----First and foremost Russia is Armenia's main ally and has always been since the start of their history. They owe a great deal to Armenians/Byzantines anyway. EU is the second ally. Iran is in the middle. America is at the end of the list.
  19. Moron I was making fun of you retard. What do you know about features, haplotype and Armenian mtDNA and Y-chromosomes? By what scientific research are your idiotic claims backed up? If you're non-White with an inferiority complex so be it. There is no rule that says you can't be Armenian if you're mixed. What KKK meting? I thought Armenians are not White so how could gamavor be at a KKK meting? Loser. Why don't you along with all other non-White Armenians create your own sub-group and go live with the Kurds under a label Mountain Turks. Get this freak, Armenians don't want you just like you don't want them. Russians attacking Armenians? So what. Some Russians can't tell the difference between kavkaz people and Armenians not even knowing that Armenians are not kavkaztsis an never have been. Those are some unorganized gangs, Armenia has them too. Armenian skinheads in Yerevan beat up Russians too calling them Mongol-Tatars, not just Iranians, jews, foreign soccer players or Diasporans from the ME.
  20. Bah, who cares about them. Ignore them. If they want to be a gypsy, arab, turk or whatever. They're so confused aboput their heritage they don't knwo what they are lol You don't have to, not even for a second doubt your heritage Gamavor. These retards think that a "white" person of European descent is someone that must be a blonde, with blue eyes and pink skin. Newsflash, maybe a few thousand years ago all Caucasoids were like that although very unlikely that's not the case anymore. According to these freaks 80% of Germany is non-White, well 80% of Germans don't have blonde hair!!!!
  21. What do you mean? Armenians are not White dude, Armenians are jewish and kurdish and turkish. Haven't you looked at recent genetic studies? Armenians are middle eastern asiatic mongrels.
