  1. What sort of "hardworking, kind-hearted and asset to the community" parents would allow their naive 19 year old daughter to marry a complete stranger 34 years her senior and allow her to be taken abroad - the sort of family that will "sell" their daughter for the chance of a visa to America, that's what sort. What sort of "hardworking, kind-hearted and asset to the community" people would be so stupid as to not know that a "student visa" is for people wanting to study in America. A bunch of liars and chancers, that's what sort. And stopping illegal immigrants abusing visa regulations to gain entry to a country is nothing to do with "homeland security".
  2. A town full of gullible simpletons if they believe this fake sob-story. Snake-oil sellers would have a field-day in Ridgway.
  3. Thoth's contempt of "nationalism" has the same roots as his contempt for "religion". It is nothing to do with the good and bad aspects of each, but simply because both seek to impose constraints and obligations on people (and make people feel more than mere individuals) - constraints and obligations which might interfere with Thoth's type of self-centered lifestyle.
  4. You are not supposed to like me. That's up to you. And, though I take your point about not replying at length, I'm afraid anything with the phrase "Indo-European" in it now does sends me immediately to , as do lists of "commandments" (And a few other things as well like all sports, cars, trick questions and logic problems, etc).
  5. Russia annexed the various Georgian kingdoms (in 1801, 03, and 04) mainly because she wanted more access to the Black sea, and a route to aquire territory in Persia and thus gain access to the Caspian. There is no such thing as "The Caucasian War" - they are known as the "Murid Wars", named after a type of Muslim priest-warrior who was the main core of Shamyls resistance force against the Russian invasion of Chechnia. Before the Russian invasion the Chechens were not particularly religious, and most of the leaders, including Shamyl, came from outside Chechnia and were not even Chechen. The wars lasted for over half a century. And the Chechens had lived in that region since at least before the days of the Arab conquests since they are mentioned in Arab accounts. The rest of that "history" is so silly that it is really not worth my time to disect it. Where did you get it from?
  6. There are stories that their eyes go back to normal colours once they leave Van, but I think it has something to do with the specific genetics of white cats that breed with other white cats, if they do it generation after generation they get differently coloured pairs of eyes - there is a website out there somewhere that explains it. There are also stories about how picky and fussy the cats are - they only like other Van cats, which is probably why they all have those distinctive eyes.
  7. Yes nakharar, they are all like that - their left eye is different in colour to their right eye! But, through the eyes of a Van cat, there is nothing wrong with a Van cat's eyes - it's the ordinary cats that are weird!!
  8. A hell of a lot more than you know. But however disapointing, stupid, offensive and downright repulsive T.K. and others are on this subject, this thread has been useful in that it is a good test to sort out the filth from the decent people here.
  9. The bottom one? Yes, you are right he/she does look a bit like Bowie in a vague sort of way that I can't quite put my finger on! It looks like a very contented kitty anyway - all Van cats know they are superior to all other breeds. (Will Armenian Hightlander have something to say about that - "Armenians were the first to domesticate cats" or somethin' like that !)

    Real Van Cats

Not those so-called "Turkish Vans" you find in America. http://mysite.freeserve.com/virtualani/cat1.jpg http://mysite.freeserve.com/virtualani/cat2.jpg
  12. What history books have you been reading? One that you have written yourself perhaps?
  13. It's more like just talk, talk, talk, talk. Makes me wanna
  14. Hasn't someone posted something about Bush's use of that hand gesture before? No connection at all to the Grey Wolves, but something about membership of a secret society that all the actual (as opposed to elected) rulers of the American people belong to? If so then Bush's public use of it does display his basic imaturity - a bit like a spoilt and insecure child showing off his latest expensive toy to show how important he is.
  15. Getting drunk on love. That brew is hard to find, and I've almost forgotten its sweet taste. Show me where it's sold and I'll guzzle it 'till I'm full. Getting drunk on hate - cheap and easy to find, foul tasting stuff, but there is plenty of it around, you can buy gallons of it on any street.
  16. Phew, that is a relief. I was worried for a while! Leaves me free to tear you to shreads if I should feel like it. Geographically, what hole do you shit in, then?
  17. Hmmm, well if you want to know one then know yourself. <_< And just to reassure me - please confirm that you do not live in London and your initials are not H. P.
  18. Hmmmm, fortunately for our Armenian Highlander I did not see the erased posting. Perhaps that is more fortunate than he thinks, for (based on the subject matter, and the time of his posting) I have a suspicion I might know him. But, to judge from his tawdry treatment of that subject matter so far, I sincerely hope that he is NOT that person.
  19. You are loosing it, Virgil. Nairi has always been just about the most consistantly intelligent and sincere person here. Can't you see that it is you that is displaying a typical "victim and slave mentality".
  20. It is you that is pathetic. To be a member of a nation that is so unhappy with its current identity and place in the world that it has to resort to childish fantasies in order to extend its importance to being the centre of the world. Even Ataturk's "sun theory" didn't descend to such pathetic depths and such ludicrous heights.
  21. Carefull. While much of this and your other postings may be true, put things into proportion and into a proper perspective or you might find yourself a suitable subject for Nairi's "liars and braggers" thread.
  22. Or as Morrissey put it (back in the distant days when he could write decent songs unlike his current crap) "some girls are bigger than others"!
  23. Ahhhh, sweet. If it was written to a real woman then she was as lucky to receive such words as the poet was to be inspired by her beauty. Would women these days appreciate or deserve getting such things written to them, I wonder? Is that another of Quchak's, Nairi? Isn't he thought to have come from the Van region, which might account for the references to the sea and blue eyes (there are a lot of light-blue-eyed people in that region, and in a land-locked country the lake is as good a substitute for a proper sea as you could find).
