So you expect us to just sit and let Turkey, which killed almost 2/3 of our population to get away with it? First of all back then, Armenians were weak and did not have an army. Today Armenian army is pretty strong and has the Russian backing, who do not like Turks also. Plus Armenians all around the world have more power and money than back then, which means they can put pressure and influence their local governments, which you saw happen today. So, I think we can afford to wake the lion without being scared. Only cowards sit and do not act.

I think they discussed both. They went to lunch right now, 9 people still want to speak and 3 votes are pending. They will be back at 2pm.

Lantos did not believe that the Genocide happened, but still supported it based on Turkey's refusal to allo U.S. troops during the second Iraq war.

Most of the people who speak are for it, only one person denied the Genocide. They are going to vote on 11:45-12pm

I read his brother's book "My Brother's Road" and recommend everyone here reading it, a truly inspirational book. And first thing I will do when I am in Armenia, I will go to his grave and pay my respects.
