Error 404
What does gusan mean? Gusan means azgain Yerazhshtahan in armenian. In english: Composer (for ethnic music). (Maestro probably in italian). Sayat Nova = Gusan (he made his music and lyrics) Please correct me if I am missing something in explanation. Error 404
sayat was the first true rabiz... I hope you are kidding. If Sayat was rabiz then Sergey Parajanov is the autor of Jerry Springer show.

Azat
I hope you are kidding. ED
you can say Sayat Nova was Rabiz, for the lack of a better word but he was much much more then a singer songwriter a poet, a thinker and a peacemaker, he sang in many languges and was a figure larger then life he was loved by all, everyone, Armenians, Georgians, Kurds, Azeries, Persians claimed he was one of them he is in no comparison to none, he is still in a class of his own. My father told me a story, many years ago when emigrating from iran to Armenia, at the passport center or ovir (what ever the name was for the dept.) the head of that departmant had to intervue make sure everyone was leaving on there free will, and so knowing my dad was an Armenian he invites him in the back, puts on Sayat Nova record, listens and cries, after he tells my dad "Sayat Nova does not belong only Armenians, Sayat belongs to all of us" Edited November 8, 2006 by Edward
